Both at Langley and on temporary assignments in the Middle East, Cathleen spearheaded operational efforts to achieve some of the most sensitive foreign intelligence objectives in Afghanistan and Iraq. But when an op to find a key player in the terrorist network goes wrong, and a successful attack is launched on Westminster Hall, the Syndicate begins to suspect that Mariam's family is somehow involved. To make matters more devastating, Juliet's serious boyfriend, Jean-Marc, is targeted and killed, leaving her grieving and even more determined to stop the war.On Syndicate orders, Juliet is paired with a dashing, arrogant FBI agent, Graham, to infiltrate Mariam's family to prevent further attacks. As much as Juliet dislikes Graham at first, she cannot deny their connection, or the comfort that comes from being able to share her work with him, something she was never able to do with Jean-Marc. With Graham, Juliet embarks on a dangerous journey toward survival and love, as they cross the globe from London to Riyadh, Paris to Istanbul, and Moscow to Chechnya's City of the Dead to put an end to the war that cost them both. And when Mariam discovers the truth behind her family's involvement, she joins Juliet and Graham in their quest. But when peace means a stunning betrayal, Juliet must decide if her mission and achieving equal rights for women in the region, justifies the crushing defeat of others. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/themichaelcalderinshow/message

FROM FOX 61 CT: A Connecticut resident and DACA recipient was detained in New Mexico by ICE while traveling with his girlfriend. Bryhan Ali Andrade-Rojas was traveling across the west coast when he was detained by ICE officials at an immigration checkpoint on January 17. “I know that he's sleeping on a floor,” said his friend, Samantha Andersen, who has been talking to him since he's been detained. “People are defecating next to him.” Bryhan is a recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, known as DACA. It allows people brought illegally to the United States as children to receive temporary relief from deportation. It also allows them to work and go to school. Bryhan's status lapsed in February of 2019. Bryhan's friends who have been working to get back his freedom tell FOX61 they have received no word on when he will have the opportunity for a bond hearing. He can't access his files on his laptop, which preclude him from sending in his application. The application for DACA renewal is $495 and usually takes only a month or two to hear back on approval. “If DACA is eliminated, that's going to be bad news for DACA holders because they will be left without work permits. It will affect their employ-ability, ability to go to college, possible deportations; it might become pretty chaotic,” said Meyerovich. Bryhan's friends are working on accessing lawyers and raising money for his potential bond, which they say could cost up to $50,000. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/themichaelcalderinshow/message

Diana uses poetry to stand up for women and to encourage them to use their authentic voice, seeking out their own personal freedom to know who they really are. She believes in allowing our feelings to be fully felt, to be embraced without judgment, no matter if they are “good or bad”, “pretty or ugly.” Diana's book "RAW" published in September 2017, aims to break down the stigmas and barriers surrounding women. Diana believes that no woman should have to pick and adhere to any label that pleases society, but rather every woman should get to embody everything they feel and are meant to be.
