Play Episode Listen Later Aug 17, 2021 37:37

Today we've got another Lazy Launch episode in store for you. Remember, I use the term “lazy launch” in a positive way here! Lazy launches are launches that you put together without the stress, overwhelm and months of unnecessary preparation leading up beforehand. You can check out our most recent Lazy Launch episode about launching a successful membership right here. There are a lot of different ways you can make a lazy launch work for you, and today's guest is no exception! We're chatting all about how a photographer added passive income with digital products. I'm joined by Rachel Greiman, a copywriter and a documentary family photographer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She owns Green Chair Stories, a company committed to writing words and taking photographs that look and sound like real people. Rachel worked as a writer and photographer for nonprofits for over 10 years, but somewhere in there she started doing family photography on the side, which eventually became her full-time business. She also began copywriting for other photographers, which became her primary focus. She entered the digital product space when she realized that she only had two options for her target customers – either providing full copywriting services for them, or nothing. Rachel decided that she wanted to find a way, through digital products, to help her customers that couldn't afford her services but still needed help with their copywriting. That's how her digital product ideas were born. On today's episode of the podcast, Rachel is going to walk us through her digital product launch experiences. And you're going to want to grab that pen and paper or at least take lots of mental notes, because this is definitely going to get your creative juices flowing for sure! [065] Get Started with Day Rates with Sarah Masci

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 3, 2021 23:06

99.99% of the content that I create and teach is focused on launching digital products in a simple and efficient way that will get you real results. But I also am realistic and know that this process takes time. It's not a quick snap of the fingers, overnight thing to generate legitimate income with digital products, despite the fact that I wish with my whole heart that it was. So something I look to do on occasion is highlight other ways that you can bring in income in the meantime, while you're building up that digital product based income. In the past, we've talked about freelancing in general, but today I want to highlight a very specific strategy that's gaining more momentum and popularity - for good reason, too. It's called Day Rates. Ever heard of it? A “day rate” is essentially when you compress all of your project work into one day - your client pays you a premium rate for your day because they're getting the work down quickly and because they're paying for the convenience of fast turnaround in combination with your undivided attention. A couple examples - you can pay a “day rate” to a web designer to design your sales page or redo your website. I recently paid a graphic designer a day rate to design a bunch of canva templates for a new product I'm working on. There are lots of examples of this, and if you're someone who is currently already offering freelance services, day rates might be a perfect way for you to scale up your income potential, while scaling back the amount of time you actually spend working. Ultimately, this gives you more TIME and MONEY to grow the digital product side of your business. A win/win/win all the way around. If you're wondering what you could earn with Day Rates, I've seen everything from $750 to $3,000 for an 8 hour day. Just imagine you charge somewhere in the middle of that - let's estimate $1800 per 8 hour day and you only want to work 2 days a week. A fully booked out calendar for you would mean $14,400 earned for 8 days of work a month. Even if you only filled up half your calendar, that's $7,200 earned for 4 days of work in an entire month. NOT BAD. Not bad at all. Do you see how day rates can help free up your schedule while also giving you enough time to work on more passive income projects like digital products? Mhmmm. I do. If you're curious about how to get started with day rates, tune into this week's episode of Rebel Boss Ladies. Sarah Masci is going to walk you through her story with day rates, how to get started and how to get the best results. Lazy. Not a word you'd usually think about when it comes to a successful digital product launch, right? Wrong! Today we're talking about lazy launches, and I mean that in a really positive way. When I write “lazy launch” I'm referring to launches that don't require a ton of prep work, and don't incite a ton of overwhelming work or stress. Your digital product launch can be successful without the months of lead up preparation, the stressful and exhausting launch week, and the anxiety over whether or not your launch is going to succeed. Joining me on the show today is one of our recurring guests – the incredible Liz Wilcox (she was actually on the first ever episode of the Rebel Boss Ladies Podcast!). I asked Liz to join me for another episode because she keeps doing really cool things that I want to share with you! When I heard that Liz did one of her recent launches on a whim and with the goal of having 100 people join her new membership in a 30 day period, I knew I had to bring her back for an interview (and I'll spoil the surprise now – she hit her goal of 100 sign ups on day 29!) Today we're going to talk all about the work that she did do for the launch, as well as the work that she didn't do, to hopefully shine a really bright light on what's most important for you to focus on when you're planning your launch. Welcome back, Rebels! On today's episode of the Rebel Boss Ladies Podcast, we're focusing on this super sexy topic: stress, anxiety, and stress AND anxiety. I've erred in my ways – we've somehow made it to episode 61 and we've never talked about your mental health during a launch.   Stress and anxiety are a natural part of the launch process. It's really important that you have the tools in your toolbox to deal with this, especially if you're already an anxiety-prone person (like I am!). It's a reality for all of us, and that's why it's so important to identify what triggers stress and anxiety during a launch and really understand how we can deal and manage it . This is why I've brought the incredible Justine Sones on as today's guest. Justine is a writer and stress management coach. During her career as a massage therapist, Justine's practice was dedicated to exploring the roles that stress, pain and relaxation play in healing the physical body. She came to realize, though, that the support her clients needed required more than a massage and she made it her mission to help them, which she built into her online service-based business. She now spends her time writing about feelings and coaching other over-functioning humans develop healthy boundaries and practice sustainable self-care as they navigate the messy intersections of partnering, parenting, 'preneuring, and pandemic-ing. [040] Are Webinars for Digital Product Launches Dead?

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 26, 2019 23:18

So people have told you that webinars are dead, but are they really? Can you still use a webinar to launch your product? My response? It is absolutely not true. I'm here today to tell you that digital product launches with webinars are not dead. In fact, they are the exact opposite. Using a webinar to launch your digital product is a perfectly viable and smart option for you to pursue. Webinars are in fact, alive and well. Take it from me, I regularly host webinars and I love them. The trick is to ensure that your webinar is created, promoted and delivered in the proper way in order for you to get the most out of them. It's true that some product launches with webinar attempts do flop. There are some webinars that are a complete bust and thus their product launch fails miserably. If you're using a webinar as a means to get new people to buy your product and your webinar flops, then obviously your launch is probably not going to go off so well. I've seen it happen - one time I attended a webinar in support of a friend and I couldn't help but cringe the entire time. There were so many things that went wrong between the technology, the delivery of the content, and then the pitch at the end was just really, really bad. I can't imagine that it generated a whole lot of sales. So yes, there is absolutely such a thing as a webinar launch that fails miserably, but that's not a hard and fast rule. Just because some webinars fail does not mean everyone's webinar will fail. The same is true for any other launch event, whether that be a 5-day challenge or something else entirely. I found that there are a few big reasons why webinars fail. Don't let the rumor that webinars are dead hold you back if you're considering launching a product with a webinar, but DO keep these tips and tricks in mind to make your launch as successful as possible! //LET'S CONNECT// Visit the site over at EdenFried.com Instagram| click here to join in on the fun Pinterest | https://www.pinterest.com/bloggerinsights/   //FREE GIFTS// Learn how I made my first ever $1k online and started to build my life of freedom and flexibility - download the ebook here at edenfried.com/case-study Create your first sales funnel with these FREE sales funnel templates: access here at edenfried.com/sales-funnel-worksheet Come up with your next digital product idea TODAY - free mini course! https://edenfried.com/idea/  Skyrocket your email list by using these 20 list building methods (free guide): https://edenfried.com/list-building-freebie/

Did you recently take a long break from your business or are you thinking of taking one in the future? Let's be real - life sometimes gets in the way. What happens when you need to go on maternity leave or you just need a mental health getaway or you just want to hit the pause button for a while on your business? In this episode of the Rebel Boss Ladies Podcast, we're going to talk about how you should plan to go on a long break and how to come back from that break with ease. I don't think that many people really think about how to go about taking a break, much less cover it in their content. What actually happens when you need to take a break, and how can you go about making sure you and your business are ready for it? Today, we have Krista Dickson on the show and she's here to chat about her personal story of hitting that pause button on one of her businesses and then coming back months later to pick it up again. She's been on the show before talking about money mindset, but today Krista is going to talk about why she put her business on hold and everything she learned when she decided to go back to it. At the time Krista took a step back from her business, she wasn't sure if she'd ever come back to it and she didn't necessarily do everything to prepare for her getaway as if she would potentially return. She's going to share what she did to transition back into her business, what she would have done differently and some of the things that she struggled with after her return.   //GUEST BIO// Krista Dickson is a blog strategist for ambitious women who want to turn their biggest passion into a profitable blog — so they can leave their day jobs to blog full-time and do what they love. I recommend finding out your personality type before listening to this episode, you can do that by going to 16 Personalities, which lets you take a free Meyers-Briggs assessment. Now I've never really been a huge fan of putting labels on myself and I think that's why I never took the test. But as my business has grown every year, and particularly a lot over the past 12 months, I realized I needed to be more open minded to this kind of information. In this episode, I'm going to talk to my good friend Brit Kolo about why knowing your personality type is important when you're creating your business strategy. She's the creator of the Marketing Personality Type Framework at marketingpersonalities.com, as well as the host of the Marketing Personalities podcast. Through Brit's framework you are able to match your Myers-Briggs personality type with a marketing strategy. Today, she's here to shake up your approach to marketing and inspire you to grow your business in a really feel good way.  As you're listening to this episode, I hope you'll start thinking about how YOUR personality type affects you and your business. The purpose of this episode is not for you to learn about my personality type. It's for you to learn how you can take information about yourself and your personality and begin to customize your business around that, rather than the other way around.  Instead of forcing yourself to fit molds, Brit will help you to understand how to do the opposite so that you can really enjoy your business and marketing.  //GUEST BIO// Brit Kolo is the Creator of the Marketing Personality Type Framework at MarketingPersonalities.com and the Host of the Marketing Personalities Podcast.
