    Born in London, England in the 60's, to a family of five. My parents came to England from the Caribbean islandof Grenada to seek a better life and opportunity here. I also have an older sister and younger brother. Our home was a three bedroom house in London where my dad worked nights and my mother had two part time jobs during the day. Looking back, things seem simpler then. I was the quiet one. I very rarely spoke as my sister loved to talk so everyone rememberedher and my brother, the boutrous one always wanting to fight and play football. but me, I was happy either helping my dad tear down wallpaper to add a new wallpaper or doing any painting and decorating inthe house. And also, helping mum with the cooking and cleaning. Since I was young, I have always loved to dance to music, sing songs, laugh at comedy shows and decorate cakes. I always enjoyed being creative. Whether by doing some form of artwork (drawing and painting) or writing poetry this was my outlet. Although I never thought that I would become a writer, from the time I was in my early teens, I wanted to design and build homes for homeless children not knowing that I would become homeless at nineteen.

I am seeking funding for this film currently, so it is in pre-production. I have always been passionate about the film industry. My love for film started as a child when I would watch Harry Potter and be enthralled by the movies. But my true appreciation for film started in high school, where I grew to appreciate directors and writers just as much as I did actors. I work hard to pursue my passions and will continue to do so without hesitation. I am a firm believer in building connections and establishing a name for yourself from the ground-up.Donate Here https://gofund.me/d6268fff

    Teri M Brown wanted to be a writer when she was just four years old. However, she laughs and says she also wanted to be a brain surgeon and an Olympic Ice Skater. Nevertheless, the desire to write never fully left her. She began her writing careerhelping small businesses with their written content and even wrote several nonfiction self-help books dealing with real estate and finance along the way. But it wasn't until she got out of a long-term emotionally abusive marriage that she finally began to dabble in fiction. After winning the First Annual Anita Bloom Ornoff Award for Inspirational Short Story in 2017 for a piece about her grandfather, she began writing in earnest.Although she had several completed manuscripts,Teri still didn't believe in herself. That all changed after an epic adventure. She met Bruce, the man she would marry in 2019, and the two of them rode across the United States from the coast of Oregon to Washington, DC on a tandem bicycle. At the end of those 3,102 miles (4,992 km), Teri was a different person. She realized that she could achieve anything if she set her mind to it. So, she got her manuscript, Sunflowers Beneath the Snow, into the hands of Atmosphere Press, and her debut novel about three generations of Ukrainian women launched in January 2022, just three weeks before the current Ukrainian crisis.Since then, she hasn't looked back.Teri's second novel, An Enemy Like Me, launches on January 24, 2023. An Enemy Like Me is a WWII historical fiction that focuses on a first-generation German-American who becomes an American soldier. However, instead of fighting the Japanese as he expected, he finds himself fighting Germans –those more like him than different from him. Readerssee how he handles this angst from his own viewpoint, his wife's point of view, and that of his son (both as a 4-year-old left behind and as an adult reflecting on the past).

    One of my favourite questions is when someone asks me, ‘Hey Karen, what do you do for fun?' I can then say, ‘I write novels,' (as you do). I've written all sorts of short stories, but for novels Ilove writing crime fiction with a strong conspiracy twist.It's criminally good fun.I'm a print operator by trade and temp to support my writing habit. In between assignments I write about my brave, but troubled protagonist, Kim Anderson and her fight against the sinister Fireflight organisation.The best storiescome from the most unlikely places and if you enjoy blending crime and conspiracy as much as I do, you'll never run out of ideas.Some of the most entertaining ones are heard around a restaurant table (usually one with a very good bar) and,near the end of the evening, somewhere between the coffee and taxi home, the conversation will start to dip into the events on the news. Someone, who should have excused themselves a couple of drinks ago, will then lean forward to whisper, ‘I'll tell you what really happened.'This is the moment when most of the dinner guestswill pull out their phones to call the local cab office. I pull out my phone too, but I press the voice record button.

    Benson spent eight weeks on the UK Singles Chart in 1975 with his own composition, "Don't Throw It All Away". The single, released on the State Records label (State Records STAT10), reached No. 20 on the chart,[2] leading to an appearance on BBC Television's Top of the Pops. The song had originally been recorded by the Shadows, and they had performed it in the 1975 A Song for Europe contest, where it finished fourth of six entries. The song was covered in the United States by the Delfonics in 1978. There are also a number of reggae versions that include a dancehall style cut by Barrington Levy. Olivia Newton-John recorded a version of the track, including it on her 1976 album Come On Over.Benson had further attempts at winning the UK ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest, reaching the UK finals in 1977 with "After All This Time", performed by Wesley, Park and Smith, finishing fifth of 12; in 1981 with "All Cried Out", which he performed himself to place fourth of 8, and was later released on the WEA label; and in 1993 with "It's Just a Matter of Time" performed by Sonia, finishing last of eight entries. Benson tried again in 1998 with Alan Glass on the song "Give It Up" performed by Lisa Millet which finished eighth of the eight songs in the preliminary radio heat.In 1970, Benson's composition "Can't Afford to Lose", recorded by Jon Lukas, made it to the top 40 charts in the UK and some other European territories. It also occupied the top place in the pop charts in Lebanon for a full month, holding back the Beatles' "The Long and Winding Road" from reaching the No. 1 spot.[3] Benson's song "Let Her In" was recorded by John Travolta which became a hit in 1976. Several other songs originally written and recorded by Benson were also recorded by Travolta, such as "Can't Let You Go" and "Whenever I'm Away from You", as well as by his brother, Joey Travolta ("Something's Up (Love Me Like the First Time)"). Another of Benson's compositions, "Close to You", was recorded by Maxi Priest.[4] In 1976, he composed and sang "You", but it did not reach the UK charts.

With many gigs under our belts independently, as a unit we have now combined our experiences to produce Velour Fog, electrifying rock band from Hertfordshire. A Schwarzenegger of hard rock serving you an ass-whoopin of stone cold riffs, tasty licks, a smackdown of beats, and ball-dropping bass. Taking inspiration from 80s and 90s acts such as Guns N Roses, Primus, Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Alice in Chains and Ratt we are England's answer to a generation just looking to have a good time through the power of rock. Our sound hits harder than a steel chair shot. Prestigious British Music Producer Nick Tauber started his musical career drumming in an R&B band in the late Sixties. But he soon gave touring and became a studio engineer and subsequently joinedDecca as an assistant producer. This is where he came across Phil Lynott from Thin Lizzy, remixed their first album and the rest is history. Nick has had a career spanning from the 70's to the present day, having produced hit records for some of the world's greatest rock bands/artists including Thin Lizzy, Def Leppard, Toyah Wilcox, Marillion. Slaughter and the Dogs, Stiff Little Fingers and black metal gods Venom as well as having smash hits in the charts with top pop acts such as Toyah Wilcox and Bloodstone, earning him a reputation as one of the industry's most respected producers. Flip to the present day and Nick still has his finger on the pulse, and a passion for working with young upcoming bands, as he continues to manage, produce and consult with new bands/artists.

    The Everchanging Face of Dystopian Fiction In the Summer of 2017, I hosted an event called Sci-Fi and Dystopia: The Same? in Edinburgh. Things were organised at the last minute, so I didn't expect that many people to attend. However, several people did turn up and I invited them to join me for lunch in a pub afterwards. Over a meal of rapidly cooked food and Edinburgh Castle Ale, we continued the conversation from the event and ended up delving into the depths of what dystopian literature actually is. After the lunch broke up, I found myself thinking deeply about a novel I'd just started working on, Set In Stone. It was, to say the least, controversial. Indeed, a friend of mine at a writer's group in Glasgow I was a member of advised me not to write it. I've never been the one to shy away and became increasingly curious about pressing on and hopefully getting the book released. When it finally came out in 2019, it had a fairly mixed reception. Some people loved it, others loathed it.

    I first met Joe Sultana online in May 2021. He was looking for someone to create and run an old-time radio station.I have had a desire to edit and run exactly the same type of station for years but never quite knew how to go forward with it. I had tried to look into it but was put off by costs and other obstacles so I was delighted to come aboard and help.I have been a serious collector of old-time radio shows for decades and have accumulated a collection of over 100,000 shows. These have come in a vast array of formats. Originally cassettes and vinyl records were often several generations down from the master sources. As a result, I started to seek out original transcription discs from the 1920s-50s. I personally remastered them all and had them transferred to digital, then used the rare original discs to trade on for further material.I am very well educated on Old-time radio, its stars and shows and am as familiar with my collection as many people are with their favorite TV shows.With a good knowledge of how the broadcast formats were back in the pre-television days, I have worked hard to create a flowing daily schedule of varied types of shows ranging from music shows to detectives, comedies, horror, quiz shows, news programs, westerns, soaps, police shows, kids programs, and serials.

Our bass player, Trevor Horn also knows a thing or two about music; he is widely regarded as the world's greatest record producer. Our guitarist, Phil Palmer who is regarded by his peers as one of the world's greatest, played on Dire Straits' On Every Street record and world tour and the On the Night live record, and features on hundreds of records of other major acts. Our percussion player, again one of the world's best, Danny Cummings also played on Dire Straits' On Every Street record and world tour and the On the Night live record, and has since worked extensively with Mark Knopfler, playing drums in his band for many years and percussion on his latest world tour. Our world renowned sax player, Mel Collins played on Dire Straits' Love Over Gold, Alchemy and Twisting by the Pool records as well as touring for several years with Dire Straits, and over his long career has played on countless other major records, and he's currently touring the world with reformed King Crimson. And who can forget Jack Sonni, Dire Straits' “man in the red coat” dancing around the stage on the Brothers in Arms world tour and Live Aid concert? He's with us too! Our frontman, Marco Caviglia is one of the world's leading authorities on the music of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler's guitar style, and an accomplished and fine guitarist and frontman. And Primiano Di Biase is one of Italy's most sought after keyboard players.We are not Dire Straits; Dire Straits cannot exist without Mark Knopfler. But we are the next best thing. We can all listen to the records, but the last time you'll have heard the music of Dire Straits played live by the musicians who played on those records and tours, was back in 1992.DSL Dire Straits Legacy brings the music of Dire Straits played by musicians who made it, to fans who have been starved of hearing it for far too long.Since its inception in 2008, the following 7 members of Dire Straits have joined this band: Dire Straits Hall of Fame members John Illsley, Alan Clark and Pick Withers, and Dire Straits Legends Phil Palmer, Mel Collins, Jack Sonni and Danny Cummings. And over the years we've attracted some superb musicians from other bands including Steve Ferrone from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, who is widely regarded as the world's greatest rock drummer, and Trevor Horn who as well as being a great bass player is widely regarded as the world's greatest record producer.As you can imagine, this is one hell of a band! This is a supergroup, although the guys would never regard themselves as such.We love playing together, and because we played a part in the creation of the music of Dire Straits and played hundreds of shows with Dire Straits, the music is infused into our souls.DSL* Dire Straits Legacy: the closest you're going to get!And it doesn't stop there: A couple of years ago, we decided we should make a record of our own, of our own music. So we did. It's called 3 Chord Trick, and we called the band Legacy.

    Starlight Broadcasting was born from a small Internet Radio Station called Starlight UK Radio back in 2011, which initially was created as a pastime for myself using very basic free downloadable software.Although there were gaps between tracks and further gaps between microphone (as the software was not built for this) It started to get quite a good following playing a mixture of music from 1950 till 2011 but mainly Motown and Northern Soul.The latter part of 2011 things really started coming together, I met Paul Gordon a former IT Technician for the computer company Hewlett Packard. He had listened to the station and his first words to me were “You sound like two tin cans connected with a piece of string” I knew from the start It was the beginning of a brilliant working relationship as he was exactly like me pull no punches and say it as it is.Things quickly moved on, we registered Starlight UK Radio, getting proper domains and most of all installing a good basic broadcasting software programme with a proper server and outside links to the station. From then on things just got better. A major milestone was hit when the station was getting picked up in the USA.https://starlightbroadcasting.co.uk/

    I am Mandy and I am a creative Genius Consultant, Artist and Author and I help innovative female entrepreneurs to launch, grow and scale their creative business and make more money. It gives me such a buzz to type that intro these days because I did not step into my creative power untilChristmas 2018 when my late husband bought me an easel, a load or art equipment and told me to stoptalking about it and just do it!That gentle shove loaded with complete faith in me was all I needed to say, ‘my time is now, and I am ready!'But being ready and actually being ready are two completely different things. I had gaps in my knowledge for astart. I had run three successful businesses and had 25 years of leadership experience but had never run anonline business starting out as a solopreneur. So, although my very first step was to discover if I was stillcreative enough, I also had to plug those gaps. I did my first drawing in over 20 years on Boxing Day 2018, thenmy first painting and then lots of creative ideas flooded my brain.

I grew up in Temple Fortune, which is around 1 mile north of London and around 3 miles south of whereRichard Selwyn-Barnett grew up.As you can read in the article I had a fabulous childhood. While not academic (possiblybecause I am on the autism scale) & even though I enjoyed cricket, football, swimming,cycling at 9-10, I was placed on a 1,800 day diet by Great Ormond St, probably dueto being a drug addict, my drug of choice was and still is chocolate & cake.What I didn't understand at the time & neither did it seems my parents was I was onthe autism spectrum and had problems grasping certain facts. However by losingweight I found out how much life improved for me at school, so much so that in my last year at primary school I was captain of the tug of war (not because I was big), madea prefect, apparently in both cases I was an inspiration and won a prize as the mostimproved student.

    Over a decade ago now, I was going out with this girl. It was turbulent, her behaviour becoming more and more unpredictable, ending in a split. We agreed to try again and went on holiday. It seemed to work and we were back on track. We came back on a Friday. On the Monday I had a phone call from her work to ask where she was. I thought she had overslept, went around the flat to find she had died in her sleep. She had undiagnosed Epilepsy. And I found out subsequently, the erratic behaviour was because of that. I got fed up with people asking me how I was. I do suffer from OCD and depression myself and this became an immense struggle for me so, I wrote a book, a work of fiction but based on us. I gave it to my friends to read. The first I knew anything more was when I had, through the post a few copies of the book. One of my friends had paid for it to be published. I had always wanted to be a writer and here it was. I had a book. And then my life carried on. I moved on with stuff. Amazing things, good things. Some not so. Then about 5 years ago, I woke up one morning, believing I'd had an epiphany and told my now wife I was going to turn it into a film. Ever the realist, she pointed out I did not know how to write a script, which was true, so using Wikipedia and Google, I taught myself. I did not want this story to be seen as being about '2 freaks getting together', rather about 2 people with real things in their lives to deal with. Demystifying such challenges is one of the main drivers.The journey since that point has included;

I help people to connect to their hearts through mentoring, speaking, and training experiences. I have a keen sense of adventure has led me to witness riots, flash floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and parties with Witch Doctors. I have been lost in a jungle, faced local tribesmen running towards me with a machete, and been pursued by potential robbers on a moped, armed with an AK-47. This has led me to believe that the human body is capable of exceptional feats when the prospect of death becomes a reality. I was a little bit foolish in my former years!www.adamshaw.co
