Tara was named 2021 Best News Talk Show and Best overall Personality, AGAIN, by the South Carolina Broadcasters Association! Tara took home the same honors in 2018 and was also named 2016 "Personality of the Year!" In addition, Tara has also won over two dozen state and national journalism awards for column writing, news reporting and investigative reporting while working for three newspapers and writing for a variety of national publications. She won a first place reporting award from the North Carolina Press Association for an investigative series about the weaknesses in Charlotte's overburdened court system, which regularly let murderers off the hook with less than 15 years in prison. Due to her work, that system has been reformed. Tara is also a winner of the prestigious first place Green Eyeshade Award, a national award for column writing from The Society of Professional Journalists. Tara took to the airwaves about 15 years ago to do a radio show heard up and down the coast and fell in love with bypassing her editors to talk straight to the people. [SEGMENT 2-1] Be thankful Be thankful to God. Not just for the results of the election, which we are still feeling the glow over. But His influence in your life is much bigger than that. Here's what I know. Your life is richer today, than it was prior to Nov 5. Perhaps you learned more about a few people than you knew before. Do you feel just that much freer? Are you more confident that you were on the right track spiritually? [X] SB – Black woman on Kamala Harris denying God GetKrill.com/KevinJackson bioptimizers.com/kjradio Colonial Metals Group: FreeGoldGuide.com/KJRadio 800 444 6918[SEGMENT 2-2] Celebrity endorsements Kamala Haris paid celebrities to support her, and it backfired. Trump paid nobody and they clamor the be around him. As you look at Trump's team, you see the celebrity of brilliance. Meritocracy is back. Trump is appointing people who get the job done. They aren't concerned about egos and so on. The media intimated that Elon Musk is becoming a pain to Trump, hanging around too much and so on. One of the world's richest men doesn't have anything to do, so he just keeps annoying Trump's transition team? I'm not buying that. Trump is officially a phenom. Surviving the relentless attacks by the Left notwithstanding, Trump's actions post-election have the Left reeling. Not only have they lost credulity and voters, but they are losing control of the culture. Trump goes anywhere and he's adored. I'm noting a LOT more celebrities, particularly entertainers speaking out about Trump Look at all the athletes doing the Trump dance. And this is being seen ALL OVER THE WORLD. [SEGMENT 2-3] Trump's celebrity 1 The Tyson fight reminds me of Republicans. All hype. It took an outsider, Trump to revamp politics. If you missed the Tyson fight, you missed nothing. And if you missed any Republican investigations or hearings, the same applies. All these people do is talk. James Comer had the Bidens dead to rights, and what have we heard about that. Hunter Biden was convicted, and you can bet he will get a slap on the wrist soon that will barely be reported. [X] SB – Catherine Herridge with IRS whistleblowers The President took many members of his transition team, but the one who stuck out was Speaker Mike Johnson. Welcome to another Sunday evening at the Branyan/McKinney table--after another great Sabbath day of family fellowship and DISC GOLF. Yes, The Peaches will allow a Disc Golf Recap today, since her husband accomplished something totally world-changing... Then: John's yardwork adventures aren't getting any less painful. Hear the latest injury story, especially if it has been awhile since you considered the danger of using a chainsaw near stinging insects. Later: Some Christians really are shocked--SHOCKED--about how "quickly" the culture is declining. To them it seems it happened over night. But at least they're shockable, right? Their eyes are apparently working, even though they're a little slow on the uptake. EPISODE 29 - “Jan Sterling: Old Hollywood Star of the Month” - 04/01/2024 Our “Star of the Month” is the fabulous JAN STERLING, who was married to our March “Star of the Month,” PAUL DOUGLAS. Blonde, beautiful, and often deadly on screen, Sterling started in theatre, but made a name for herself portraying tough dames, femme fatales, and sexy seductresses in films such as “Caged,” “Ace In the Hole” and “The High and the Mighty.” However, her upbringing was quite different from these wayward women she played so convincingly; she was actually from a very wealthy and prominent family.
The Stinking Pause podcast – bringing you classic movie reviews since 2013 Scott is joined this week by Steven, his co-host over at the Reel Britannia podcast and Anthony, host of Film Gold, Glass Onion : On John Lennon, and Life and Life Only Ace In The Hole (1951) With flaws that outweigh his talent, reporter Chuck Tatum (Kirk Douglas) has bounced across the country from job to job. Winding up in New Mexico, Tatum gets work from the local newspaper, but finds that there's not much in the way of pressing news. However, when Tatum catches wind of a treasure hunter (Richard Benedict) trapped in a mineshaft, he turns the story into a media sensation. Soon Tatum is using unscrupulous tactics to draw out the situation, an approach that comes back to haunt him. "I've done a lot of lying in my time. I've lied to men who wear belts. I've lied to men who wear suspenders. But I'd never be so stupid as to lie to a man who wears both belt and suspenders." The Good Brothers once again return to the future aka "50 years from now, whenever now is" as they pick up where they left off in their Batman Beyond reviews. Season 2 of the Future Dark Knight's show wraps up with the origins of Bruce's four-legged best friend and protector, Ace in the episode "Ace In The Hole." The hosts discuss a myriad of things including steroid-infused canines, the nuances of Kevin Conroy's brilliant performance, how the music for Beyond stands out after a long layoff of Beyond reviews and a new debate over whether this is actually a Christmas episode. Plus hear the hosts chat about the poetry of Bruce finding a companion in the place where he had experienced his greatest tragedy, a sneaky easter egg for a future episode of the series and an attempt to name Terry's disguise counterpart to Matches Malone. Welcome to It's A Wonderful Podcast!! Happy 2023 everyone! We hope the year has started off wonderfully for you! Billy Wilder is back in discussion for the first episode of It's A Wonderful Podcast of the year and he's at his dark, hard hitting best as Morgan and Jeannine talk the famously underappreciated ACE IN THE HOLE (1951) starring Kirk Douglas and Jan Sterling! An ahead of its time story of media manipulation and obsession, that shows the levels of inhumanity within that world. A bleak, hopeless movie about spectacle and thoughtlessness, all while being an entirely captivating, pulsating and outstandingly modern feeling movie!
