A new Reuters Ipsos poll shows Biden and former president Donald Trump neck and neck on 40% support among registered voters. Biden's recent debate performance against Trump has prompted calls for him to step aside. US Correspondent Katherine Firkin told Mike Hosking there have been persistent rumours of panic between the Democrats. Meanwhile, boosted by the weakness shown by American President Joe Biden, Iran is now threatening to obliterate Israel, should they launch a full attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon. The problem is that Israel has no choice but to attack given the constant attacks on Israel by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Josiah gives the full update on the situation in Israel on today's video! Officials in the American city of Detroit, Michigan, have equipped a piece of road with technology designed to charge electric vehicles (EVs) on the path. 美国密歇根州底特律市的官员为一条道路配备了专门为路上的电动汽车(EV)充电的技术。The roadway is meant to serve as a demonstration project for the technology, which could be expanded to larger road systems. Leaders of the project say it is believed to be the country's first public wireless charging roadway built for EVs. 该道路旨在作为该技术的示范项目,可以扩展到更大的道路系统。该项目的负责人表示,这被认为是该国第一条为电动汽车建造的公共无线充电道路。The system uses a series of copper wires placed underneath the road. These wires have the ability to send electricity through a magnetic field to charge an EV's battery. Charging can happen while the car is driving or sitting above the equipment. 该系统使用一系列放置在道路下方的铜线。这些电线能够通过磁场发送电力来为电动汽车的电池充电。当汽车行驶或坐在设备上方时可以进行充电。The technology was created by an Israeli company called Electreon, a developer of wireless charging solutions for EVs. The company currently has contracts to build similar roadways in Israel, Sweden, Italy and Germany. 该技术由一家名为 Electreon 的以色列公司创建,该公司是一家电动汽车无线充电解决方案开发商。该公司目前拥有在以色列、瑞典、意大利和德国建造类似道路的合同。Stefan Tongur is Electreon's vice president of business development. It will be used to test and improve the technology in preparation for wider releases, said Michigan's Department of Transportation (DOT). Tongur said the project aims to “demonstrate how wireless charging unlocks widespread EV adoption, addressing limited range, grid limitations, and battery size and costs.” He looks forward to a future in which, in his words, “EVs are the norm, not the exception.” Electreon says the electric road system is safe for people and animals walking over it and does not harm drivers.Michigan's DOT signed a five-year agreement with Electreon to develop the roadway charging system. Democratic New York Gov. Kathy Hochul asked the Biden administration on Aug. 24 to expedite work permits for immigrants who are flooding New York City, provide more funds to build shelters and reimburse the state for the cost of deploying National Guard troops in response to the migrant crisis. Senior Biden administration officials met with Hochul on Wednesday, pledging to launch a campaign that will help migrants within the state apply for employment authorization. “First, following the deployment of a Department of Homeland Security assessment team, the Administration highlighted data indicating that substantial number of recent migrants who arrived in New York City are currently work eligible but have not yet applied to get a work permit,” the press release states. “For example, nationwide, only around 16% of working-age CBP One entrants have applied for work authorization. To date, roughly 20% of the noncitizens indicating New York, New Jersey or Pennsylvania as their intended destination this year were paroled in following an appointment scheduled through CBP One and are eligible to work immediately, if they apply.” The Biden administration and the New York state government will use text messages and email beginning in September to provide migrants who are “work eligible” with information on how to apply for employment authorization, the press release states. New York will also receive support from the federal departments of Health and Human Services, Education, Housing and Urban Development and the Interior to assist with the migrant surge. Since Republican governors began busing migrants to New York City, the state has had to care for about 100,000 migrants, despite not having enough shelter and resources. The Biden administration was previously apprehensive about allowing Democrat-run cities to grant migrants work permits, fearing that the move could lead to more border crossings. Leaders previously requested that the Biden administration temporarily waive the 180-day required waiting period before migrants can receive work authorization. https://redstate.com/beckynoble/2023/08/30/parental-rights-win-as-mom-settles-with-school-district-that-transitioned-daughter-without-consent-n2163236#google_vignette Parental Rights Win as Mom Settles With School District That 'Transitioned' Daughter Without Consent The transgender mob has made no bones about exactly what their agenda is, and they are quick to brand anyone who speaks out about it a bigot or a transphobe. Much of their indoctrination is taking place in the nation's public schools. They love to claim that they are just helping kids to be their "true selves" or some such nonsense. But if what they are doing is so great, why don't they feel the need to involve parents, or in many cases, even tell them? One California mom fought back against the trans agenda, and the case could be a landmark victory for the rights of parents of public school children all over the country. https://twitter.com/i/status/1696636080924303577 - Play Video Jessica Konen's 11-year-old daughter, Alicia, is a student in the Spreckels Union School District in Monterey County, California. Alicia was told at school that she might be "upset" because "she didn't know who she 'truly was inside.'" Was she displaying signs of being "upset," such as failing grades or acting out in class? How did the school conclude she was upset about anything? The school then began socially transitioning Alicia's gender. She was allowed to use the boys' restroom and use male pronouns. All of this going on without Konen's knowledge or consent. When Jessica Konen found out about this, she sued the school district. Konen was represented by the Center for American Liberty and obtained a settlement from the school district for $100,000. Thankfully, Jessica Konen's daughter continues to be her daughter. But Konen says the fight is far from over. Even though the school district settled with Konen, they did not admit any fault. It would have been surprising if they had. The Spreckels Union School District is just one of several school districts in liberal Democrat-run California where parents have had enough of being told they have no say in their children's education. Keeping parents out of the gender loop is a problem that is not going away. Roughly 168 school districts overseeing 5,904 schools around the nation have guidance that prevents parents from knowing if their child identifies as a gender other than their birth gender at school. Faculty and staff cannot disclose this information without the student's permission. These numbers shake out to approximately 3.2 million public school students. https://www.breitbart.com/latin-america/2023/08/30/argentine-presidential-front-runner-javier-milei-biden-threat-western-values/ Argentine Presidential Front-Runner Javier Milei: Biden a ‘Threat to Western Values’ Argentina’s presidential front-runner Javier Milei described socialists as “garbage” and “human excrement” during a radio interview, to which Colombia’s far-left President Gustavo Petro, a former member of a Marxist guerrilla group, responded Tuesday by comparing Milei to Adolf Hitler. Petro, a former member of the Marxist M19 guerrilla and Colombia’s first-ever leftist president, made the outrageous comparison on his Twitter account hours after Colombia’s RCN radio published an exclusive interview with Milei on Tuesday. During the interview, Milei suggested socialism was the greatest threat to his country. “What is a socialist on the inside? He is garbage, he is human excrement,” Milei railed. Elsewhere in the interview, Milei listed leftist values as “envy, hatred, resentment, unequal treatment before the law, theft and murder” and branded American President Joe Biden a “threat to Western values.” “Biden is a left-wing president,” Milei said. “So it is not surprising that he is also putting the world’s leading power in check. Biden himself is a threat to Western values.” Milei’s remarks garnered condemnation from Petro. “This is what Hitler said,” Petro wrote. Milei has not publicly responded to Petro’s comparison as of press time. Milei, a lawmaker and anti-establishment presidential candidate for the (“Liberty Advances”) coalition, is known for his outspoken and no-holds-barred contempt for communism, denouncing it as a “murderous system” and socialism as a “disease of the soul.” Milei is a far-right candidate who describes himself as libertarian and anarcho-capitalist. Milei emerged as the most voted candidate in Argentina’s Open Primary election process this month, leading to October’s general election, with roughly 30 percent of the votes. During the open primary, all individuals who wish to be presidential candidates appear on the ballot; those who receive over 1.5 percent of the vote appear formally on the official ballot. Milei continued his explanation by giving his hypothesis on the expansion of leftism in Latin America following the fall of the Berlin Wall, the dissolution of the Soviet Union, and the rise of the Sao Paulo Forum. “After the fall of the Berlin Wall, here in 1989 the Sao Paulo Forum was set up and the intention of the Sao Paulo Forum was to create the Latin American Soviet Union,” Milei said. “This is a very concrete plan, there are three parts. In the first part, 90 percent of the battle is cultural and 10 percent is how to obtain resources,” Milei continued his explanation. “The second stage is 50 percent cultural and 50 percent advancing in regulation and attacking companies. Perhaps the last part is the expropriation part.” The Sao Paulo Forum is a coalition of Latin American and Caribbean leftist governments and political parties established in 1990 by the Brazilian Worker’s Party (PT) — a political party founded by Brazil’s radical leftist President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The Forum was established to help leftists in Latin America coordinate messaging, ideology, and policy execution across the region. “What is, deep down, a socialist? He is garbage, he is human excrement, [someone] who basically, because he does not want to support the brilliance of another human being, is willing for everyone to be in misery,” Milei asserted. “To be a socialist, deep down, is a sickness of the spirit, a sickness of the soul. They are bad people, that is the reality.” “The values of socialism are envy, hate, resentment, unequal treatment before the law, theft, and murder,” he asserted. https://www.outkick.com/video-released-of-nebraska-te-arik-gilbert-after-breaking-into-vape-shop-stealing-1-6k-in-products/ VIDEO RELEASED OF NEBRASKA TE ARIK GILBERT AFTER BREAKING INTO VAPE SHOP, STEALING $1.6K IN PRODUCTS Now for my favorite topic, sports! Nebraska tight end Arik Gilbert is in a world of trouble. Gilbert, 21, was arrested early Tuesday on suspicion of burglary after breaking into SJ’s Liquor and Vape Shop in Lincoln. Gilbert allegedly stole $1,672 worth of products, including cigars and vapes. Authorities booked Gilbert at Lancaster County Jail. Bond was set at $5,000. A security video circulating on social media shows a shirtless Gilbert, hiding behind a makeshift mask made from his shirt, using cement from the store’s parking lot to break through the initial glass door. Once inside, Gilbert attempts to kick down another door. Gilbert joined LSU in 2020 before leaving for Georgia ahead of his second year. The former top TE prospect posted 35 catches for 368 yards and two touchdowns in eight games with LSU. Gilbert also flirted with going to Florida before joining the Bulldogs. Buried in Georgia’s offense, Gilbert transferred to Nebraska this offseason but awaits eligibility from the NCAA for his second transfer. Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule reacted to news of the arrest, as relayed by KETV7, and spoke on the ongoing struggles for Gilbert this offseason. Rhule said in a press conference: “We’re going to help him through some of the issues he’s dealing with in his life, have been really proud of the job he had done in the spring and summer. But to be honest, during camp, he said he’s had some struggles, he’s working overcome them.”

China has hit out at the US, after American President Joe Biden called Chinese President Xi Jinping a dictator. This came just as icy relations between the two superpowers look set to start thawing after US Secretary Anthony Blinken's trip to Beijing. Curtis Chin, Chair of Milken Institute Asia Fellows and Senior Advisor for Global Markets, who's also the former US Ambassador to the Asian Development Bank - shares his analysis of the situation and how challenging it would be for the two superpowers to find a middleground. A small distillery in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, recently claimed its sixth whisky award at an international competition held in London. In Okinawa, a woman was arrested on Monday after approaching the U.S. consulate general brandishing what she claimed to be a pipe-bomb. Meanwhile, the American President Joe Biden is due to hold talks with Prime Minister Kishida tomorrow in Hiroshima, when Biden and other leaders including the newly appointed Brazilian President Lula da Silva descend on the city for this year's G7 summit taking place this weekend. Prior to that we head to the edge of Tokyo bay and wander through the outer market of Tsukiji, once the largest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world. There are concerns in Papua New Guinea that the country could be dragged into the militarisation of the Pacific if it signs a new security pact with the United States. According to a draft copy of the agreement, seen by RNZ Pacific, the deal would grant the US armed forces access to PNG's territorial waters and airspace. American President Joe Biden will visit PNG next week. RNZ Pacific editor Koroi Hawkins has been working on this story, and spoke with Corin Dann.
By issuing a warrant for the arrest of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the International Criminal Court has upped the ante in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. It sets a bar from which retreat will be a trapeze act for the West. American President Joe Biden has hailed the ICC decision even as Chinese President Xi Jinping travelled to Moscow to meet President Putin. What impact will this have on the war in Ukraine? How does this affect international relations? And, finally, how will it affect the prospects for a negotiated peace in Ukraine.
American President Joe Biden says the balloons shot down by the US aren't likely to be related to Chinese spying. Last week three unidentified objects were downed by U.S. fighter planes. International correspondent Dan Mitchinson told Heather du Plessis-Allan that they think the balloons were used to track data such as weather or pollution. Biden has also been declared fit for duty. His doctor has reported that the 80 year old is healthy and vigorous, but there's still push back on his age. Mitchinson says American's want the President to have regular health examinations. Over a few decades, the US has intentionally maintained a position characterized as strategic ambiguity when asked whether it would come to Taiwan's defense in the event of an attack by China. But the fact is that the American President creates the debate as it seems he is clearer about US intentions in regard to Taiwan than his predecessors. Does Biden want to have Taiwan's cake but also eat it? Is everything somewhat the same, but different? But still the same? Of course, China reacted furiously to Biden's statements but it's pretty sure that Beijing has to take them into account when thinking about Taiwan. So what's going on? Would the US defend Taiwan militarily if China would attack? Are there some scenarios under which America wouldn't react? Those questions were answered by China watcher and publisher of the China Neican Adam Ni. We also discussed how Russia's war against Ukraine affects China and its plans related to Taiwan and how far would Beijing go to help Moscow. And is Chinese communist chief Xi Jinping nervous? In this special episode of Breaking Battlegrounds, Chuck and Sam are joined by Brad Harrison, whose wife had to flee her home country of Ukraine when war broke out, only to be stopped by US Customs and Immigration, despite promises from US officials that Ukrainian refugees would be granted asylum. Now Brad, an American citizen, is fighting to make sure his wife is safe. For the first nights of the Russian bombardment of the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv 41-year old Ghanna (Anna) Harrison would make sure the ear-pods of her 10-year old Sofiya were in tight and the iPad was charged so as to drown out the thudding of the missiles and bombs beginning to fall around them.Anna would then get on the phone with her Air Force veteran husband of 10 years Brad Harrison and talk through the night about how she and Sofiya would soon be joining him in America at the home he was going to build for them in his hometown of Spanish Fork, Utah.Only 10 days before the war Brad left Ukraine to prepare the way for his family to come to the United States never believing the Russians would savage his wife's city and nation as they have. On the morning of 26th of February Anna sensed a pause in the bombings and began the 800 mile escape across Kharkiv and the backroads of central Ukraine heading west until reaching the boarder of Romania. Now the first week of April 2022 after flying with her American passport carrying Sofiya and meeting Brad in Tijuana based on the promise of American President Joe Biden who spread his arms and said if 100,000 Ukrainian refugees could make it to America's borders they would, “Be welcomed with open arms.”Armed with paperwork and letters, and emails from the senate offices of Senators Mike Lee, John Harmer, and Utah State Senator Mike McKell, encouraging ICE and CBP (Customs and Border Protection) grant Anna asylum by Humane Parole; the Harrisons drove to the border crossing at San Ysidro as a family unit of three.“They wouldn't even look at any of the documents,” Brad said. “They made Anna get out of the car and Sofiya and I stay in. She came back crying saying she'd been detained, and they'd taken her phone away and were allowing her one change of clothes. That's the last we saw of her; them leading her away.”That was Thursday, March 31st and Harrison, Sofiya and his immigration attorney have attempted contact every single day only to be denied. And as of today both CBP and ICE have suddenly denied Anna is in their systems… nowhere to be found.“She escaped the Russians only to be captured by the Americans,” Brad said. “She escaped the Russian gulag, and now she's in an American one – we think.”Connect with us:www.breakingbattlegrounds.voteTwitter: www.twitter.com/Breaking_BattleFacebook: www.facebook.com/breakingbattlegroundsInstagram: www.instagram.com/breakingbattlegroundsLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/breakingbattlegrounds This is a public episode. On this BACK STORY host Dana Lewis talks to Rose Gottemoeller, who as a former Deputy Head of NATO and former Chief negotiator of the New START nuclear arms Treaty with Russia, says American President Joe Biden must rethink a deal which cuts out France and gives highly enriched uranium in nuclear powered submarines to Australia. And in part two, we speak to Paul Niland of Lifeline Ukraine, about new and damning reports on Russia's involvement in the war in Ukraine, and calls for Russia to be removed from a cease fire monitoring mission there.
In previous episodes, I talked about how the American Treasury Secretary, Secretary of States kept calling China on the phone, hoping China would help them lessen American inflation and their problems in Afghanistan. On the morning of September 10, it was the American President Joe Biden's turn to call China. I would not post the press releases of both countries here. It seems to have said a lot of things, but it seems that it has not said anything. Anyway, there was almost no consensus between the two sides. There is only one point that both sides have unanimously confirmed, and that is that China and the United States should maintain contacts and extensive dialogues to continue developing Sino-US relations. Two big bosses talked for 90 minutes and that is the only outcome? Of course not, there are two detailed facts, revealing a lot of information, much more than the official bulletin.I set up and operate this channel alone, hoping to share the real China with the world as well as clarify misconceptions and lies against China. The continued development of China is the biggest game-changer in this century that affects all aspects of everyone's lives. Embrace the change and seize the opportunity.Creating original content is hard work, your support is what keeps me going. American President Joe Biden has said the war in Afghanistan cost more than $2 trillion. Todd Harrison, a senior fellow at the Centre for Strategic International Studies helps us unpick what's included in this figure.

American President Joe Biden will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin. Their summit takes place in Geneva on June 16. But does this meeting make any sense? Will it make any difference? Should it make any difference? And what to expect from Biden and from Putin? My questions were answered by Tom Nichols, U.S. Naval War College professor, and an adjunct at the U.S. Air Force School of Strategic Force Studies and the Harvard Extension School. He is also a columnist for USA Today, a contributing writer at The Atlantic, and an author of the book The Death of Expertise and of the incoming book Our Own Worst Enemy. What would be his advice for Biden before the summit? Listen to our conversation. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/andrej-matisak/message

Hello and welcome to another episode of my podcast The Global Agora. My name is Andrej Matišák, and I work as the deputy head of foreign desk in Slovak daily Pravda. The Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack hit critical US energy infrastructure. According to BBC News, the pipeline carries 2.5 million barrels a day, means 45% of the East Coast's supply of diesel, petrol and jet fuel. How much is this the sign of the things that will come? American President Joe Biden said that the attack struck the jugular of America's pipeline system. What do we know about DarkSide, the group behind the attack? Is there any connection to Russian state? I talked to Dr. Tim Stevens. He is a Senior Lecturer in Global Security and the head of the King's Cyber Security Research Group at King's College, London. The Cannabis 101 Podcast is your guide through the legalization and consumption of cannabis in Canada and beyond. It's not just about getting high, it's about getting healthy. Catch Hour One on Tuesday and Hour two on Wednesday. David Wylie of the oz joins me each week to discuss the latest on This Week in Cannabis News. Things happen fast in the still developing cannabis industry and we'll bring you the top stories. We kicked things off with a story from CNN that clearly illustrated how far behind the curve American President Joe Biden is when it comes to cannabis. Part of a President's job is listening, and Biden is clearly not listening to the American public when it comes to federal legalization of cannabis. Closer to home there are a lot of questions when it comes to indigenous rights and the plant, and unfortunately very few answers for those looking to get into the industry. That has led one man to take matters into his own hands based on a United Nations ruling that the province of B.C. has adopted. We know the Statue of Liberty is green, and maybe it was green with envy when New Jersey legalized cannabis. Now she can be green for weed as New York State has decided to legalize, like we all knew they would when everyone around them did the same, New York usually isn't last to do something. Finally we discussed an article from a Toronto publication that shockingly was positive about the plant. Get the latest news from the oz every day here.
