Alex Metcalfe of CAMRA brings the boys up to speed with Cyder Month, featuring audio, video and a spot of Gabe Cook? This week’s guest is Felix Nash of Fine Cider. Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware

The fantastically glamorous Grace Dent arrived in Clapham having already won mum over with her leopard print dress as soon as she step through the door. The broadcaster, author and restaurant critic joined us round the dinner table for mum's delicious harissa meatballs whilst mum and I fawned over her every word.We heard about her dad’s famous ‘Sketty’, her love of Angel Delight and a drink she describes as ‘Happiness In A Glass’ - a Pina Colada. The Masterchef regular tells us about growing up ‘up north’, her 'sarcastic face', memories of watching the Blackpool illuminations and how she can get into any restaurant she wants... We obviously exchanged numbers and I'm now will happily be her future plus 1. Her absolutely brilliant and touching memoir ‘Hungry’ is out on October 29th and is available to preorder now. Here’s the recipe for mum’s Lamb Harissa Meatballs: 1kg minced lamb2/3 thick slices of bread300 ml milkHandful of mint choppedHandful of parsley chopped1 tsp dry oreganoLarge tsp of cummin2 cloves of garlic crushedGrated zest of one lemon Sauce:3 cloves of garlic2 tbsp olive oil2 cans of tomatoes10 cherry tomatoes halved1 tablespoon of harissaHandful of basil Soak the slices of bread in milk for a few minutes. Dream Word – CONSIDERPsalms 8:3-4 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him? NKJV.Ever and always, the Scriptures present the angelic creation as occupying higher realms, as being higher beings possessing higher powers, indeed, in every respect their capacities, in each and every way, are so much higher than we mere humans that it makes them more awesome and richer than humanity could ever possibly attain to. Even so, C.S. Lewis, whilst acknowledging our currently confused and glass darkened senses, gives thanks for such present human befuddlement, such 'witchery of the senses,' as he calls it, and then most majestically lays out for us a golden thought that tonight we mere humans might consider. Will you listen:Far richer they! I know senses’ witcheryGuards us, like air, from heavens too big to see;Imminent death to man that barb’d sublimityAnd dazzling edge of beauty unsheathed would be.Yet here. Within this tiny, charm’d interior,This parlour of the brain, their Maker sharesWith living men some secrets in a privacyForever ours, not theirs.(from the Poem – ‘On Being Human’ - C.S. Lewis )Now friends, though we have cruelly rejected truth and thus have forgotten who we were intended to be, the angels know of both our design and our direction. Yes, they are well aware of both our fall and of our coming exaltation. I might conjecture then that this 'chatter of the ages,' a long time ago now, eventually spread to one-third of them like cancerous jealousy and caused them to fall and plummet, down to the depths beneath, in all-consuming and envious desperation? Even so, what we the redeemed of Christ are now, and what we shall soon, so very soon become, are for the good angels of the good God, things which they ever and always, both desire and delight to look into, for they understand, that the secrets of redemption which have been planted by the Holy Spirit, like loving seeds in the dead ground of a poor man’s soul, shall at the adoption, even the redemption of our bodies, lead to another Genesis, the like of which is only told of in the longing cries of a groaning creation, presently, all gone wrong.I wonder if we each have a personal and private inner sanctuary, even in our hearts which is he very dwelling place of the Most-High, a secret place of private audiences with our Father, where we laugh at wondrous love and together sing away our cares, and unwrap His silver secrets in a privacy of a 'charm'd interior' that is only forever ours, and which could be described as a redeemed and human privacy that can never be inhabited by the angels? I wonder........Listen: Of this salvation, the prophets have inquired and searched carefully, who prophesied of the grace that would come to you, searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ who was in them was indicating when He testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. To them it was revealed that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering the things which now have been reported to you through those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven --- things which angels desire to look into. (1 Peter 1:10-12)Pray:- Father, Abba, Dad, do please deliver me from despicable distractions of every sort, maybe just for a little bit, even just for an hour a day, that we together may walk and might look deep into Your magnificent midnight, whilst You help me take the wrapping off all the singing and silver secrets of the skies, which tell to me Support the show (http://www.victorrobert.tv)

Episode 9a. Tam and Marv focus on plans to feed starving Africans with Angel Delight as well as bombing the Far East. It's not all tasteful, happy stuff though as John Higgins died (briefly) and Tam had some of his face sliced off. Hurricanes and hovercrafts get an overdue mention and listen out for plans to re-energise snooker as a TV spectacle. Mozambique is also (now) a former French colony.  We're not experts. This snooker tweet gets discussed https://twitter.com/thehuwdavies/status/1123656294026625025

Our latest podcast is all about desserts! We're talking about everything from British staples like Sticky Toffee Pudding and Eton Mess to American go-to's such as Apple Pie and Brownies. Also, Dominic drops a major bombshell on me by revealing he had never eaten Banana Pudding before he came to America! What exactly is Angel Delight and Blancmange? Is there a difference between the British Jelly and American Jell-O? Find out the answers to all these questions and more in our new episode. Also, we're curious, what's your favorite dessert? We know we left out tons of delicious sweet treats. Be sure to let us know which ones, so we can discuss them on a future podcast. Who likes Angel Delight? This week's episode is definitely on the delight end of the pudding scale as opposed to a seven tier unicorn cake and that's often a good thing. It's a low tariff canter and catch up with no big questions asked or answered and instead we have some light and fluffy as air fun. In community news, I invite you to come and join the #shinybeescolourworkchallenge  over in the Facebook group and try your hand at some stranded knitting. If knitting with more than one colour has been intimidating to you in the past, now's the time to cast that aside and give it a crack. There will be helpful hints and tips posted in the group throughout the month and the occasional Shetland Pony in Fair Isle. Obvs. In Enabler's Corner I enable you to two not quite yarny but definitely fun (depends on your version of fun for the latter, but I like it) things to try. First up we have the delightfully witty Amy Nolan of Ginger Rainbow who does the most fantastic illustrations and doodles. She's very witty and manages to bring situational humour out in her quirky drawings. I am a big fan. Secondly, we have #hotelroomview, the fun adventures of working on the road and seeing a lot of hotel rooms, hosted by the wonderful Bexx. It really shouldn't be that exciting or gripping, but there is something about these hotel room views that has captured my imagination. It's a bit like looking at house porn on Rightmove. In Wippin' Piccadilly, I have finished Helen Stewart's Spindrift Shawl and the Everyday Brew by Clare Devine. I'm never knitting with black yarn again. Future/fantasy knit searching has taken me to the Prism hat by Tin Can Knits which is part of the Mad Colour collection which was released in August. This versatile pattern gives oodles of opportunity for creating a one-of-a-kind hat, and is really more like three patterns in one. Also catching my eye from this collection is 1999, a sweater with a masculine lace (that's a thing) panel down the front. The collection itself comprises 16 patterns and is available from Ravelry for $21.60 USD. Shownotes for this episode are at www.shinybees.com Music is by Adam and the Walter Boys with 'I Need A Drink.'

#199. In this week's show Ed & Paul look back on United's insipid draw with Sunderland at the weekend - a game that leaves the Reds on just one point after two Premier League matches. United laboured to a scoring draw against the Wearsiders, with Juan Mata claiming his seventh goal in nine starts in the 'number 10' role at United. Despite the Spaniard's strike United struggled in both defence and attack as the Reds adjust to a radically different system. There's a discussion of the transfer market, with United acquiring Marcos Rojo since the last podcast and set to sign Real Madrid's forward Angel Di Maria in the coming week. Your questions, Bantergate and, finally, previews of United's fixtures against MK Dons in the Capital One Cup and Burnley in the Premier League follow. Can the Reds secure a first win of the new season? No Question About That is available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music and all good podcast apps.
