It's to plug in 'Mixtape'.Mixtapes have an out-sized role in the emergence of hip hop around the world. Before radio play, the internet, and social media, there were mixtapes. No matter where you lived, you could pop a cassette into a tape deck, and be transported to a party halfway around the world. DJs were taste makers, trendsetters and creators of the sound that became the biggest musical genre on the planet. A meteoric rise for an art form not yet 50 years old. The importance of mixtapes goes well beyond the tapes themselves. Mixtapes were a form of currency. A signifier that you were In-The-Know and had your ear to the streets. A skeleton key to the underground. The culture was too strong to be stopped, and the artists were too talented to be ignored - so they turned the sub-culture into the mainstream, and made hip hop what it is today.So much more then pulling up a playlist on Spotify or Apple Music today, the mixtape made what was hot and fresh tactile and necessary. After much success in Montreal, Dr. B decided to pursue music full-time and move to New York City. In early 2003, Dr. B began to work with super producers Cool & Dre, Tony Touch, Boogie Blind (USA Champion), Swizz Beatz, and reggae sensation Elephant Man. Although he has found success in Hip Hop, his true love has always been the world of film. In early 2021, Dr. B began working on his debut album, "The Mother Of Dragons". Inspired by the TV show "Game Of Thrones", the visual album tells the story of the Dragon Queen & her quest to conquer all the Ten Kingdoms. Aries, once an ally to the Dragon Queen, now has his own plans as he starts a new war in Olympus.The album features a variety of genres including Pop, Hip Hop, Opera & Classical/Cinematic music. The Mother Of Dragons visual album is set to be released in February 2022.While working on his debut album, Dr. B is also a full-time University student studying Forensic Psychology. Formerly known as Tha Madd Scientist, Dr. B began his deejay career as a turntablist. After performing at Montreal's (Canada) most popular shopping malls and clothing stores, Dr. B was approached to open up his own record/clothing store. After much success in Montreal, Dr. B decided to pursue music full time and move to New York City. In the early 2003, Dr. B began to work with super producers Cool & Dre, Tony Touch, Boogie Blind (USA Champion) and reggae sensation Elephant Man. The same year, Dr. B won the "DJ of the Year" Award for his mixtape, "Quotable". This passion lead to Dr. B working with Hip Hop legendary producer Swizz Beatz. Swizz also appeared in 24K's "Skully" video, produced by Just Blaze and executive produced by Dr. B. Although he has found success in Hip Hop music, his true love has always been the world of EDM. In 2019, Dr. B released his first dance record independently.
