This Blue Dragon spinoff doesn't exactly color me impressed. David and Jordan give their first thoughts on Shonen Jump manga Ral Grad. Bjorn Lestrud is a sound healer, storyteller, and founder of Blue Dragon Healing. His journey has been deeply shaped by ancient shamanic traditions and personal experiences with plant medicines, which helped him reconnect with his true self. Now he helps others do the same, guiding them toward emotional clarity, spiritual growth, and authentic self-expression.A pivotal moment came in 2010 when Bjorn explored the teachings of Bob Proctor, leading to an emotional release that marked the beginning of his awakening. This experience inspired him to seek deeper fulfillment and genuine expression. His journey took a significant turn in 2021 during the Light Portal in Tulum, where he began a series of encounters ancient wisdom and discovered the power of sound through transformative experiences with plant medicine and biofield tuning.Through his explorations, including work with shamans from around the world, Bjorn deepened his understanding of healing and authenticity. These encounters highlighted the importance of connection in the healing process, ultimately guiding him to create Blue Dragon Healing. Send us a textHello dragon fans, and welcome back to another episode of World of Dragons! Admittedly, it has been quite a while since our last upload, but part of that is due to Rei wanting to read multiple books at once for a review. This episode we're reviewing the Dragon Sorcerer series, by Sean Oswald. The first book of the series is Claws Out, and was the book we had Bantam read to give his impressions, Rei decided to read ahead so he could let you dragon fans know if this was going to be another betrayal, like the Dragon Friend series was (minor rant included in the episode).Join us as we discuss the first dragon shifter book that Rei has enjoyed, and actually considers to be a good book with the shifting being useful and not a cheap way to hide the dragon. Rei has a lot of good things to say about the series, and we even have a few tangents included for different tropes, what fun!If you stick around after the ending music, Rei will comment on a few plot points that happen in later books, so big fat SPOILER warning for that, but he will do so with the intent of letting you listeners who are on the fence or nervous about the course of the book know if its going to go into territory that would disappoint you. For example, if the book 4 the dragon was going to give up his dragonhood and be human forever (he doesn't) that's the kind of thing he would spoil so you don't get blindsided and betrayed.

Michael Brosowski, founder of the Blue Dragon Children's Foundation in Hanoi, discusses how his organization combats human trafficking in Vietnam, though he asserts that trafficking is a global problem--a crime against humanity that affects everyone.Trafficking in Vietnam is a constantly changing and evolving challenge, one that often targets disadvantaged youth seeking job and life opportunities. Blue Dragon has leveraged collaboration with the Vietnamese and other governments to intervene.Last decade one of the biggest problems Blue Dragon found was that women were being trafficked across the border into China, where decades of the "One-Child Policy" had left a severe gender imbalance. Blue Dragon has worked with both governments to stem the flow of brides across the border so that it is a more manageable problem today.Michael discusses how Blue Dragon often conducts dramatic, sometimes risky rescue operations to secure trafficked persons' freedom. These require careful planning and often involve rapid responses to calls for help, sometimes even across borders.Aftercare for survivors is a key part of the program. This is highly individualized, and may include psychological, financial, vocational and legal supports.

Sadly a huge loss was announced to the world late Thursday/Early Friday with the passing of the legendary Akira Toriyama. The creator of Dragon Ball undoubtedly leaves a huge legacy not just in the Manga/Anime world, but also in video games with his character art for Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, and Blue Dragon among others. Sean is joined by Marc and The Outerhaven's SithScott as they discuss what Akira Toriyama meant to them, their origins with Dragon Ball, and more. Scott also discusses his thoughts on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth as Sean and Marc have progressed to Chapter 9 in the game, along with some other games like Zoria, Skull and Bones, and Cave of Lores. He first achieved mainstream recognition for creating the popular manga series Dr. Slump, before going on to create Dragon Ball (his most notable work) and acting as a character designer for several popular video games such as the Dragon Quest series, Chrono Trigger, and Blue Dragon. Toriyama is regarded as one of the authors who changed the history of manga, as his works are highly influential and popular, particularly Dragon Ball, which many manga artists cite as a source of inspiration. He earned the 1981 Shogakukan Manga Award for best shōnen manga with Dr. Slump, and it went on to sell over 35 million copies in Japan. It was adapted into a successful anime series, with a second anime created in 1997, 13 years after the manga ended. His next series, Dragon Ball, would become one of the most popular and successful manga in the world. Having sold 260 million copies worldwide, it is one of the best-selling manga series of all time and is considered to be one of the main reasons for the period when manga circulation was at its highest in the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. Overseas, Dragon Ball's anime adaptations have been more successful than the manga and are credited with boosting anime's popularity in the Western world. In 2019, Toriyama was decorated a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for his contributions to the arts. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 01:47 UTC on Saturday, 9 March 2024.For the full current version of the article, see Akira Toriyama on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Mastodon at @wikioftheday@masto.ai.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm Justin Neural.

We pick back up as the adult Blue Dragon begins to reign its terror upon the group. It's all hands on deck as the team protects the Swift Hummingbird from the onslaught of the dragon and two storm elementals. Galahad uses his potion of growth to launch himself at the dragon and begin to take it down. Arguile takes a spill off the side of the ship and Zechs sends Duo after him. Zechs then summons a giant eagle to save Arguile from meeting the water at terminal velocity, a mile above. Thankfully the party takes out the elementals, Galahad kills the dragon, and Arguile is safe. They spend the next few hours diligently picking the blue dragon clean. Galahad's newfound fairy dragon companion reveals her true identity as the dragon goddess Hlal. Shanks learns of Salix's distaste for the dragon and their kind. It's a tale of betrayal, heartache, and pain. Arguile spends time making himself more familiar with the ship and Zechs joins him. During that time they exchange information about their respective guilds and we learn that not everyone considers their guild family as Zechs does. Hoshino prepares the Legend Lore spell and receives information on The Constable and his machines. Zechs and Shanks share a heartfelt conversation about their feelings of guilt. Salix reaches out to the Daughter of the Void for some guidance and reassurance. Zechs reaches out to Qho, Kivela, and Cenari and each tells him about what has been happening across Granzia, bestows some wisdom onto their brother, and warns him to be careful. Galahad reveals that the Dragon allied with Antonius is Iron Nimbus Vulsir, a legendary Drulcas. The group prepares as they make their way to the Glasmeda Isles, using conjure animals to learn aerial combat and Shanks revealing another gift from his patron Elrin. Upon reaching the Isles, they reconnect with Quon and learn of the havoc being wrought by the machines. They must act quickly after they rest for the evening. During the various evening watches, Shanks and Arguile have a discussion that evening about the group's varying moral compasses. Salix trains Duo a bit and Galahad helps Zechs connect with Solonar. The next day the group secures a meal with a recently caught elk and a guide from a creature that Duo captured and Zechs befriended. The team is led by their animal companion to the beginning of the dome, eventually, coming across a deserted town and plants shaped like Grippli. While they try to discern how long they have until the same fate falls onto them, they realize that the dome has dropped, prompting them to go search for the machine. Upon finding it, they find scorch marks and the appearance of damage that has rendered the machine in need of repair, granting the group and the planes some time. Zechs leaves a teleportation circle at the machine and informs the Swift Hummingbird captain, Cordell, of the change in plans. A new deal is broached between the party and the captain, and they set off to the Heartwood. There's so much happening and we pick up with arc 18, “Echoes of the Past”. How will the rest of this story unfold? Find out next time on the Medusa's Cascade: Collateral Damage!
