A SPAR shop in Cabra has had enough — staff say they've been racially abused, sprayed with drinks, and even had eggs thrown at them, and they're begging parents to find out where their kids are at night. But the debate goes up a notch when we hear from “Des”, a Dublin 24 shop manager who posted CCTV-style photos of kids he says were robbing his shop… and then had furious parents at his door threatening to sue. So what's the answer when Gardaí “won't” (or can't) act? Name and shame minors online… or is that completely out of order, no matter what they're doing? Live callers don't hold back.
Have you ever devoted a portion to your life to something, only to find out that God had different plans for you? Have those seasons ever left you feeling confused or wondering if you wasted your time? In today's sermon, Pastor Sam Cabra talks about God's infinite wisdom and His plans for your life. God never wastes moments, and we find that God often hides invaluable lessons in seasons that seem "wasted" or "insignificant." God is a God of process, and many times we forget that He is more interested in our development than our comfort! Thank you for partnering with Reunion Hawaii! Bon dia! Anem a cultura.
Escuchar audio
Biblical renewing of the mind is often a process. While we tend to search for correct facts and information, the process of renewing the mind is as much about HOW we think as it is WHAT we think. Continuing with our current series, Pastor Sam Cabra addresses how believers need to interpret the world around us. Is the world getting worse and worse? Should we fear wars and rumors of war? How does the Bride of Christ operate with a renewed mind in regard to all these things? We hope today's sermon inspires you with the hope and peace of God!Thank you for partnering with Reunion Hawaii! The new year is upon us, and most people associate the turning of the calendar page with CHANGE. Whether it's losing a little weight, reading their Bibles more, or being more present with their families, the world looks to the calendar as the starting point for change. But what if change came a different way? What if outer changes were unrelated to our calendars, and came exclusively because of our inner transformation? Today, Pastor Sam Cabra announces the 2026 word of the year for Reunion, "Renewing the Mind." Renewal often comes in seasons, and knowing which season we are in is critically important. Expecting the right thing in the wrong season leads to bitterness, disappointment, and pain. But as we walk in step with God, He continually reveals the times and seasons we are currently in. By faith in the power of agreement, we step into the season of Renewing our Minds in 2026.Thank you for partnering with Reunion Hawaii! Irish Rail's Christmas schedule adds late night services for revellers.Irish Rail will operate on a reduced schedule from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day, some extra services have been added for this weekend for any Christmas party goers. The question is: should late night services be run all year?Joining Ciara Doherty to discuss is Ray O'Donoghue, Dublin's night-time economy advisor, Barry Kenny, Corporate Communications Manager with Iarnrod Eireann and Feljin Jose Dublin City Councillor for Phibsborough, Glasnevin, Drumcondra, Cabra and Ashtown, Green Party Spokesperson for Transport.
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). What if we took God up on His word that His power would be made manifest through our areas of weakness, lack, and frailty? What if we magnified our God, and not our problems? What if we stood in His sovereignty regardless of our circumstances? In today's sermon, Pastor Sam Cabra explains how God chooses to fill the areas of lack and void in our lives when we allow Him to. He never forces us, but He will often use our circumstances around us to bring us to a place of pure surrender. When we can see God in spite of our circumstances, we are free to be carefree in Him!Thank you for partnering with Reunion Hawaii! The apostle Paul said that a full proclamation of the gospel includes a demonstration of signs and wonders in the power of the Spirit (Romans 15:18-19). How does our proclamation of the gospel compare to Paul's? How does our proclamation of the gospel compare to Jesus' or the disciples' proclamation? In today's sermon, pastor Sam Cabra explains that biblically, the supernatural is not an optional component of Christianity; it's a non-negotiable! The Presence of God was always meant to be carried on the shoulders of His priests. Under the New Covenant, we are now the priests who have the honor of carrying His Presence! Agreeing with Heaven's perspective and declaring what the Lord is saying is a powerful yet underutilized weapon. God's voice is a creative force: when He says something, it becomes a new reality. In this week's sermon, Pastor Sam Cabra shows us how much authority and life we have when we come into agreement with God's perspective, even when we don't see any evidence of those things in our current circumstances.Thank you for partnering with Reunion Hawaii! This week, we're taking a break from our series on the 1798 Rebellion for a fascinating conversation about the Great Famine in Dublin and why this key chapter in the city's history has been largely forgotten. When most people think of the Great Hunger, they picture rural Ireland and the suffering along the Atlantic coast. For years, it was widely believed that Dublin escaped the worst of the Famine. But is that really the case?In this episode, I'm joined by Dublin historian Maria Ball, who shares her unique insights into how the Famine impacted the capital and why its story has faded from memory. Drawing on her own family's history in the Smithfield tenements, Maria reveals the hidden struggles faced by Dubliners during the 1840s. She also explains how institutions like the city workhouses and the Lock Hospital (which treated venereal disease) were overwhelmed during the crisis.Maria is also involved in organising a history festival in Cabra this week - you can find out more here.Sound by Kate Dunlea. In this episode of the EY CEO Outlook podcast, Shay Walsh, Manging Director of BT Ireland, joins host Richard Curran to reflect on a career at the cutting edge of telecoms and communications, the challenges of leading your people through major strategic change, and the future of data and connectivity. Shay Walsh's journey began in Cabra, Dublin, with Irish-speaking roots and a childhood immersed in technology - his grandfather a radio operator, and his parents civil servants in Posts & Telegraphs. After studying electronic engineering at DCU, he entered the world of telecoms just as the industry was being transformed. Having joined Esat Telecom as a field engineer when the company was still in its very early days, Shay has spent almost 30 years helping to shape the evolution of communications in Ireland, rising to the highest ranks of the telecoms industry along the way. Today, as BT sells its Irish wholesale and enterprise business units, he reflects on a remarkable 29-year career with the company and looks ahead to his next chapter. They also discuss: BT's decision to sell its Irish domestic and data centre businesses to focus more on the UK, and what will remain of its presence in Ireland. The power of honesty and clear communication when trying to build trust during a period of big changes. Shay's view on Data Centres, their economic importance, and their energy requirements. His pride about BT's 20-year partnership with the Young Scientist Exhibition and its role in helping students grow in confidence. What Shay plans to do next, after he wraps up his 29-year career with Esat / BT Ireland.

Many believers know that the Lord is their Source and Provider, and have rejected the idea of trying to rely on ourselves to do God's job.
