Los Angeles Angels vs. Baltimore Orioles MLB Betting Pick Prediction 3/31/2024 by Tony T. Angels at Orioles—Reid Detmers to start for Los Angeles. Detmers in 28 starts a season ago put up an ERA of 4.48 with WHIP of 1.35. The righthander had a K rate of 26.1% with 9.3% walks. Ground balls sat at 36.7% with 1.15 home runs per nine innings. Tyler Wells will start for Baltimore. Wells appeared in 25 games in 2023 with an ERA of 3.64 and WHIP of 0.99. The fourth year righty struck out 24.9% with 7.2% walks. Ground ball rate of 32.3% with 1.90 home runs per nine innings. A FIP of 4.98 suggested a higher ERA based on his numbers. The Orioles have won the first two in this series against the Angels with the 13-4 win on Saturday.

The Los Angeles Angels did not have a successful weekend in Houston against the Astros this weekend, as they only took 1 out of the 4 games after 3 games of pitching struggles, a lack of delivering in scoring opportunities, and more. Game 1 on Thursday saw Reid Detmers struggle to finish the at-bat despite being up 0-2 on a hitter several times. Is this Detmers issue, a coaching issue, or something else?
