The MLB breakdown covers every game on the board. Griffin passes on the Padres and Phillies despite a soft Nola start because the overall offensive environment makes it a coin flip. Cam Schlittler and the Yankees are simply too dominant to fade at any price. Noah Cameron gets some love from Griffin but the Royals bullpen situation, highlighted by a rough week from closer Lucas Erceg, makes Kansas City impossible to trust even if the starter delivers. The Braves look cheap at minus-122 against Toronto, and Bryce Elder's 2026 track record in Atlanta earns Griffin's lean in that direction. Kyle Harrison's continued dominance in Milwaukee, now at 18 consecutive scoreless innings, makes the former top prospect one of the more fascinating stories on the June 2nd card, though Griffin passes on the game itself. Davis Martin and the White Sox visiting Minnesota provides little grip for Griffin, who moves quickly. In St. Louis, he finds one of the night's more interesting numbers at plus-100 on the Cardinals with Dustin May facing Nathan Eovaldi, noting the Rangers' home run problems and Jordan Walker's hot stretch as reasons to look at the Cardinals price. Gage Jump's early big-league exposure at Wrigley Field against Jameson Taillon in a wind-in environment is a situation Griffin monitors but does not commit to. Mike Burrows and Houston get a lean at minus-110 against Pittsburgh. Grayson Rodriguez and the Angels as minus-155 against the Rockies is a price Griffin finds heavy given Rodriguez's injury history, though Colorado plus-140 is a number he admits he will be tracking closely before first pitch. And Michael Soroka's plus-107 price against the Dodgers in Arizona becomes the final talking point, with Griffin identifying his buy price at around plus-100 and expressing genuine affinity for the Diamondbacks in that spot. In 1967, a new basketball league was born, the ABA (American Basketball Association) with teams in 11 cities including Indianapolis, Oakland, New Orleans, Denver and Dallas. The ABA also put a team in Pittsburgh, the Pipers. After a slow start, the Pipers got it going and twice won as many as 14 games in a row. In fact, the Pipers finished the season with a record of 54-24. They won the Eastern Conference and then worked their way through playoffs. In the first round, they swept the Indiana Pacers 3-0. In the Eastern Finals, they took out the Minnesota Muskies 4-1 and in the championship, in seven games, the Pipers outlasted the New Orleans Buccaneers 4-games-to-3. The Pipers were good. real good. In fact, they might have been good enough to qualify for the NBA playoffs. They were led by a budding superstar - Connie Hawkins. Blackballed by the NBA for his alleged involvement in a point shaving scandal, Hawkins was named the ABA's regualr season MVP and playoff's MVP. He averaged 26.8 ppg during the regular season and 29.9 ppg in the playoffs. Of course, later in hi career, he was finally granted entry into the NBA where he continued to excel and was ultimately elected into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame. Back to the Pipers. Despite winning the East, the team's fanbase was minimal at best. So, the Pipers, after just one year in Pittsburgh, packed up and headed north to Minneapolis. The Muskies left for Florida. Ironically, the Muskies couldn't draw fans and the Pipers, after relocating to Minnesota, couldn't draw fans in Minneapolis either. So, they packed up and headed back to Pittsburgh. Without a doubt, the Pipers had quite a unique history and on this episode of Sports' Forgotten Heroes, basketball historian and author Mark Whited stops by for a lively discussion about the Pipers, the ABA and Connie Hawkins.

After a historically good regular season, the Toronto Argonauts couldn't finish the job in the Eastern Final in front of a record crowd at BMO Field. The Toronto defence played one of their best games of the year, but what had been such a consistent offence simply couldn't get out of their own way, turning the ball over nine times and surrendering two pick-sixes in the process. Where did it all go wrong? Hosts Ben and JB have some of the answers to your questions, while others may forever remain a mystery.

The Montreal Alouettes travel to BMO Field to take on the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL's Eastern Final. The Argos are 3-0 against the Alouettes this season, but two of those games went right down to the wire. This historically-good Toronto team is rested, prepared, and will be playing in front their biggest home crowd in years, but anything can happen in football. Hosts Ben and JB tell you what to expect, which returning injured players should dress or start, and how both teams should attack one another on both sides of the ball.

It was a busy week in Toronto! The team extended Canadians Josh Hagerty and David Ungerer III while also signing two new American players. There weren't any big surprises for the Argos when the team's CFL award nominations came out, but not all selections were unanimous either. Pete Costanza emerges as a potential head coach in Saskatchewan, joining Corey Mace on an impressive list of candidates. BMO Field's east upper deck opens up for the Eastern Final as ticket sales continue to go well. Chad Kelly will dress but not play in Ottawa.
