During day two of the Democratic National Convention, White House Correspondent Ebony McMorris spoke with Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, representing Missouri's 5th district, and he talked about what the base needs to do after the convention: "Well, we've got to continue to go upward. I think that enthusiasm is the mother's milk for political success. But the emotion will only take us so far. I think we'll get a bump coming out of the convention. But I think now we are getting revved up, hopefully, if we're going out and working, we're going to have to bring people out. I think a lot of people are going to come out automatically now because of the, in Missouri for example, we have the abortion issue on the ballot and we have the minimum wage on the ballot. Those things attract large chunks of voters. And so all of us are going to go back to our districts and everybody's going to be fired up and I think we're going to probably level out at some point before the election. But I think if we have enough energy now, it'll take us all the way into November." Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

A new congressional redistricting map that's been approved by a Missouri House committee is a solid 6-2 GOP map, and puts more Republican voters in U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner's (R-Ballwin) district. It also keeps U.S. Reps. Cori Bush (D-St. Louis) and Emanuel Cleaver's (D-Kansas City) districts solidly blue. There are several changes in mid-Missouri, under the proposed new map. Part of Columbia and Boone County and all of Cooper and Moniteau counties would move to U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer's (R-St. Elizabeth) district, under the map. That would impact Ashland, Boonville and California. State Rep. Chuck Basye (R-Rocheport), who serves on the House Special Committee on Redistricting, tells 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Columbia" that he's cautiously optimistic the new map will be approved by lawmakers next week. He says if the courts get involved, it will not be good for people who think like him, meaning conservative Republicans:

We are a nation that has become as the Apostle Paul described in Roman chapter one, "professing to be wise, they have become fools." We pray this episode will further your resolve to pray for genuine revival for His glory!

Nutty Nancy Pelosi, as always, has her finger squarely on the pulse of America, determining that the biggest issue facing We the People isn't the disaster of government lockdowns as much as it is the disaster of gender identifiers on the Hill. Say goodbye to words like "Mother/Father, Son/Daughter" because those are the real problems. Never mind the fact that 14% of the 900 billion dollars allocated in the COVID stimulus bill is going to Americans (leaving a generous 86% heading off shores). Nothing to see there, folks. Also, because Democrats and Liberals have no nose for irony, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver concludes his prayer before the 117th Congress with "Amen and Awoman." Outstanding. It's time to crush this narrative before it starts and refuse to submit to the confusion.
