Jad utilises his counselling skills to empower people to look after their own health. This compliments his naturopathic approach, guiding people on their journey to a more healthy, happy and meaningful life. From an early age, Jad has been passionate about nutrition and health. He believes a whole foods-based diet, combined with exercise, stress management and healthy relationships is the key to preventing many of today’s chronic health issues.   I really love this outlook and mix of modalities which is why I’m excited about having Jad on the show. Owner of PTC Gold coast and one of Australia's most prolific powerlifting coaches, Thomas Lilley, joins the boys in studio for this episode! Thomas has a Health Science Degree and pre-powerlifting days worked in Community Nutrition, so this conversation starts with some interesting perspectives on we should eat as a society. Then we get into the meat & nuts - the 3 big lifts as a system, programming accessory work, the role of hypertrophy for powerlifters, the impact of cardio and body composition, his guidelines for weight cuts, parameters for weight gain and the importance of a life outside the gym! A super nice guy and a great listen!
