This podcast is your resource for all things Splankna, the faith-based inner healing and deliverance modality. In this episode, we have Heather Hughes back on the show as our special guest. She is the Executive Director of The Splankna Institute and founder of Alethia for Life. Heather is also the co-author of "Upper Dogs," a compelling book about spiritual authority in Christ. Today we're learning about the addiction protocol in Splankna. How it was developed and how it has benefitted client who are struggling with addictive patterns. These patterns often arise from attempting to satisfy or fill an unmet need with something that isn't godly or fulfilling. Heather shares her insight and experience, shedding light on the holistic approach Splankna takes to address the root cause of addiction. Addiction is often associated with the overconsumption of alcohol or drugs, but the harsh reality is that habits, traits, and even excuses can become addictive in themselves and can lead to more substance based addictions. Healing from addiction can feel hopeless to those who are suffering, and it can be equally harrowing for those in relationships with someone battling addiction. As Splankna practitioners we emphasize the importance of seeking help from a practitioner who is well-versed in the Splankna addiction protocol. Additionally, she advises continuing to work with medical professionals to treat the addiction and its symptoms as needed. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, this episode offers hope and practical guidance. Tune in to learn more about how Splankna can be a powerful tool in the journey toward healing and wholeness. Almost 80% of Americans live within 5 miles of a Walgreens. Founder Charles R. Walgreen Sr. established the brand in 1901 as a single location pharmacy in Chicago, which grew into an integrated healthcare, pharmacy and retailer—which filled approximately 820 million prescriptions and immunizations in the US last year alone. Now part of Walgreens Boots Alliance, the largest retail, health, pharmacy and daily living destination across the U.S and Europe, the brands serve millions of walk in customers, patients and omni-channel shoppers' every day. The combined entity was founded 170 years ago, is an index component of the Dow Jones sustainability indices (DJSI), with 13,000 locations and 325,000 people that delivered $130 billion in revenue last year. Heading the multibillion-dollar Beauty, Personal care & Seasonal category at Walgreens is Group Vice President and General Merchandise leader Heather Hughes, a trained pharmacist—a rare profile for a retail executive. Her unique background is just what the doctor ordered, as Walgreens looks to reboot the category and take health, beauty, and wellness to the next level of growth and innovation. I think that we get overcoming fears mixed up with getting rid of fears. I don't believe one can simply get rid of a fear. I believe that, even if you get over a fear, it will always reside in you. You just become a master of that fear. It can always creep in on you, but you, with a few tools, have the ability to control the amount of power it holds over you. Today I watched a video from a business partner of mine, Heather Hughes, "The Linkedin Lady Boss". Listen here: https://www.facebook.com/heather.h.page.9/videos/10217807274985893/ She shared that one of her fears is what other people think. This seems strange considering how vulnerable she lets herself be on social media. But just because she shares so much with the world, does not mean she doesn't have a fear of how it will be received. Like I said, mastering a fear doesn't make it disappear, it just means that you have been able to overcome it in a way that it seems like it is no longer there. Here are 3 tips for mastering your fears: 1) Practice - Whatever is causing you fear, go directly at it. 2) Understanding Your Journey - Know that this is your journey and that things will change as you make your way through. You will have to adjust occasionally but stay the cource. 3) Laser Focus - Know what your goal is and aim with precision. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/learn-for-2/message
