Unfiltered, unedited, and uncommon thoughts from 2 pastors figuring it out as they go.
The 2 Pastors and a Mic podcast is a refreshing and thought-provoking show that tackles difficult topics in a relatable and authentic way. Channock and Cory, the hosts of the podcast, are two down-to-earth pastors who aren't afraid to address controversial issues and have honest conversations about faith. Their genuine approach allows listeners to connect with them on a personal level and feel understood and encouraged.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its conversational and authentic style. The hosts engage in open dialogue, sharing their own experiences and perspectives while still leaving room for listeners to form their own opinions. They don't come across as preachy or elitist but rather as relatable individuals who are on a journey of faith just like everyone else. This makes the podcast feel like a genuine conversation among friends, which is both enjoyable and relatable.
Another great aspect of the podcast is its ability to challenge listeners' beliefs and inspire growth. The hosts don't shy away from discussing difficult questions or exploring different viewpoints. They encourage listeners to think critically, test their faith, and grow spiritually. This willingness to explore new ideas and challenge traditional notions sets this podcast apart from others in the genre.
However, one possible downside of the podcast is that it may not be suitable for those seeking more traditional or conservative Christian teachings. The hosts' open-mindedness and willingness to question certain beliefs might not align with everyone's theological views. While this can be seen as a positive aspect for some listeners, others may find it off-putting or disagreeable.
In conclusion, The 2 Pastors and a Mic podcast stands out among other religious podcasts due to its conversational style, authenticity, and willingness to tackle challenging topics. Whether you're looking for inspiration, encouragement, or thought-provoking discussions about faith, this podcast delivers on all fronts. Channock and Cory's relatability make it easy for listeners to connect and grow alongside them. Overall, this podcast is a must-listen for anyone searching for genuine and honest conversations about faith.

Since we just talked through seven weeks of church trauma/spiritual abuse, the largest issue stems from fear. Fear and our lack of understanding around hell has caused a lot of damage in the lives of people. If you're open to the conversation, let's have it...
We hope to be a safe haven for people on their faith journey. Let's talk about the trauma that many people went through in Scripture. Not to compare or downplay ours, but to relate, empathize, and know we're not alone.
If we're going to try to help reform the broken system of the church, we have to unpack the trauma that is created by mean Christians.
If we're going to try to help reform the broken system of the church, we have to unpack the trauma that is created by over-spiritualization - where we credit God for things He doesn't do and say things to grieving people that aren't helpful.
If we're going to try to help reform the broken system of the church, we have to unpack the trauma that is created by improper humility - the teaching that causes people not to love themselves, trust themselves, or trust their God given intuition.
If we're going to try to help reform the broken system of the church, we have to unpack the trauma that is created by performance driven Christianity - the machine where systems and behavior are above people and their process. If your spiritual stance with God hinges on your actions, you've misunderstood God's unconditional love and grace.
If we're going to try to help reform the broken system of the church, we have to unpack the trauma that is created by fear - issues like the rapture, the devil, spiritual warfare, hell, judgment, and wrath.
We're talking about it because we must! The power that comes from religion shapes us, some for better, others for worse. We want to be a part of the organizational side of church that helps bring healing - giving time and space for people to process their pain and deal with bitterness and resentment.

Join us in our series through statements Jesus never said. Part three is on the idea that Jesus never told us to follow the 10 commandments (the law).
