Keep yourself safe from flattery by establishing boundaries around your mind, soul and spirit. Have discernment so that you will know when someone is being sincere or not. We have to stand up for what we believe in no matter how hard it is or how hard it gets as stated in Ephesians 6:14-17.
Send us a textIn my exploration of the emotional challenges I face while living with someone who I suspect has a Cluster B personality disorder, I emphasize the importance of recognizing the struggles that come with this experience. I explore the prolonged healing process from the emotional wounds inflicted by my wife, who often scapegoated our close relationships, including our family and friends. At times, I didn't realize I was involved with a pathological Cluster B until much later, which made it crucial for me to view myself as a resilient survivor rather than just a victim.I've noticed how individuals with Cluster B disorders can maintain a caring facade in public while engaging in emotional abuse behind closed doors. This creates a stark contrast between how others perceive my partner and the reality I lived through. The dynamics of trauma bonding in abusive relationships became apparent to me as I reflected on my own experiences. The cycle of kindness and cruelty led to cognitive dissonance, making it difficult for me to clearly see my wife's manipulative behaviors. I remember my journey of coming to terms with her true nature, especially after initially believing in her goodness. I commend others like me for their efforts to find the positive in their partners, recognizing that abusers often lack self-worth and manipulate others to feel better about themselves. Moreover, I delve into the exhausting and repetitive nature of these relationships, where I lost my sense of self due to constant negative feedback, which fostered a trauma bond. Insincere compliments only served to exacerbate my self-doubt, while my hope for validation often went unfulfilled. Despite the emotional toll, I encourage you to believe in your strength and resilience, suggesting that healing can be found outside of these toxic dynamics. I aim to support those affected by Cluster B relationships, highlighting the importance of self-acknowledgment and recovery in my podcasts.Support the show

It's a true blessing to have individuals in your life that care about your well being! They can honestly encourage you in a positive way AND they can tell you when you are wrong! Be grateful they care enough to do it. Insincere or faint praise of a person can create damage and overall harm to an individual! Growth only happens when you can receive truth AND when you have to speak truth! Be the person who lives by this principle! And understand that He has provided for us a manual (BIBLE) that gives us the blueprint to be successful in this life!

In the wake of serious allegations and a gut-wrenching video, hip-hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs issued a public apology on Sunday. However, the apology has been met with criticism from one of Cassie Ventura's attorneys, Meredith Firetog, who dismissed it as self-serving and insincere. "Combs' most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt," Firetog said in a statement. "When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to ‘apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words." Adding to the controversy, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office announced they would not prosecute Diddy over the actions depicted in a 2016 video, citing the statute of limitations. "We find the images extremely disturbing and difficult to watch," read a statement from the office of L.A. District Attorney George Gascón on Instagram. "If the conduct depicted occurred in 2016, unfortunately we would be unable to charge as the conduct would have occurred beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted." The DA's office also mentioned that law enforcement had not presented a case related to the attack depicted in the video against Mr. Combs, but they encouraged any victims or witnesses to report crimes to law enforcement or reach out for support from their Bureau of Victims Services. The contents of the video closely match an assault allegation Ventura made in a lawsuit filed against Diddy in November. Ventura's lawsuit, now settled, also included allegations of rape and claims that Combs forced her to have sex with male sex workers while he masturbated. “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs,” said Ventura's attorney, Douglas Wigdor, in a statement to Billboard. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.” Ventura and Combs had an on-again, off-again relationship for 11 years, ending in 2018. In her lawsuit, Ventura stated she met Combs in 2005 when she was 19 and he was 37. After signing to his Bad Boy Records label, she claimed that Combs “lured” her into a romantic relationship where he "asserted complete control" over her life. Since Ventura's lawsuit late last year, Combs has faced four more sexual misconduct lawsuits. In November, he stepped down as chairman of his digital media company, Revolt, and reportedly sold his stake in the company in March. Additionally, federal agents conducted raids on Combs' homes in Los Angeles and Miami as part of a federal sex trafficking investigation, according to CNN. Throughout these allegations, Combs has maintained his innocence. “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged,” he said in a statement posted to social media on December 6. “I will fight for my name, my family, and for the truth.” Diddy's apology and the subsequent statements from Ventura's attorneys have intensified public scrutiny. The video evidence and ongoing legal battles have further complicated his public image, raising questions about accountability and justice in high-profile cases involving powerful figures in the entertainment industry. As the investigations continue, the responses from both the legal teams and the public will shape the unfolding narrative surrounding these serious allegations. The courage of Ventura and other victims coming forward highlights the ongoing need for transparency and justice in cases of sexual misconduct and abuse. The saga involving Sean "Diddy" Combs, marked by disturbing allegations and a controversial apology, underscores the complex dynamics of power, accountability, and justice in the entertainment world. The public and legal community will undoubtedly continue to watch closely as more details emerge and the pursuit of justice continues. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? Welcome back!! In today's episode, Check in Chicken Dinner, your hosts Alina Gutierrez and Taylor Dini dive deep into the power of words and affirmations. They discuss the delicate balance between sincere compliments and excessive praise, sharing their personal preferences when it comes to receiving validation. Vulnerability and the importance of feeling understood are also explored, as they discuss inner child healing and the impact of abandonment wounds on relationships. Fear of being left and the need to remain open to love are touched upon, reminding us of our own worthiness. But that's not all. Alina and Taylor introduce a new concept called "check in chicken dinner," a practice of checking in with ourselves and loved ones. They delve into the habit of automatically responding with "I'm fine" when asked about our well-being, and why it's crucial to truly reflect on how we're doing. Hatred of sin as sin, not only as galling or disquieting, a sense of the love of Christ in the cross, lie at the bottom of all true spiritual mortification. Now, it is certain that that which I speak of proceeds from self-love. You set yourself with all diligence and earnestness to mortify such a lust or sin- what is the reason of it-- It disquiets you, it has taken away your peace, it fills your heart with sorrow, and trouble, and fear- you have no rest because of it. Yea- but, friend, you have neglected prayer or reading- you have been vain and loose in your walk in other things...
A new MP3 sermon from The Narrated Puritan is now available on SermonAudio with the following details: Title: Mortification of Sin Chapt. 8 Motives for Deliverance That Are Insincere Subtitle: Mortification of Sin Speaker: John Owen Broadcaster: The Narrated Puritan Event: Audio Book Date: 4/28/2023 Length: 24 min.
Matthew 15:8 says, “‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.” In this text, the Lord describes those who say the right things, may even appear to do right, but the truth is everything else about them does not add up. In this week’s study from 1 Samuel 15, Saul seems to have turned from his sinful ways but has not. Samuel knows this and isn’t fooled by Saul’s pretending. Neither is God. Lip service is not what Jesus wants from us, He simply wants our heart.
