Nein. Nein. Das wird jetzt wirklich zu kitschig. Hört einfach rein!

What episode of your favorite sci-fi TV show also brings in an element of the mystical, fantastical, or just blatantly theatrical art of magic to the forefront? For Stella Cheeks, it's the Star Trek TOS episode "Catspaw," and for Erin Cline, it's the X-Files episode "The Amazing Maleeni." Can the X-Trekkies remain cool cats in the face of such spectacle, or will they lose their heads? You won't have to twist our arms to find out. --- About the podcast: Erin Cline and Stella Cheeks have been friends for over a decade but have never seen each other's favorite TV show. Seeking to rectify that grievous error (seriously, they used to live together), X-Treks was born! Each week the duo choose one episode from Star Trek: The Original Series and one episode from The X-Files that fits a previously chosen cinematic theme, watch them together, and share their feelings! Alongside producer Bobby Hoffman, they discuss their first impressions, how the episodes fit into the larger fan lore, and fascinating behind-the-scenes facts. --- Follow The X-Treks Crew Twitter: @X-TreksPod @Stella_Cheeks @Haberdasher9k Instagram: @NYDErnGenC

Kev's home from his holiday and the lads are back to talking about T9a. This episode they take on the mighty task of reviewing their progress in various ongoing UB tournaments (all three!) and then discuss magic as though they understand what they are talking about. A WACKY AND WONDERFULLY SILLY ADVENTURE! This delightfully humorous fantasy from the legendary 1950s Fantastic Stories pulp magazine begins with an ordinary Chicago librarian courting his beautiful (but insipid) fiancée. Shortly afterwards, she and her family are zapped into a parallel world by two real estate gangsters. Albert turns the table on the gangsters, but then finds that his own time has become warped. He meets two creatures from an alternate world and in short order crosses with them over into a horizon-less, magical realm. When he enters the forest of Drendon, and his girlfriend turns into a woodnymph, and her brother becomes a fawn, and the dreadful parrot-beaked, cannibalistic Kwistian birds come to feast, he doesn't waste precious time asking what's going on? It's Magic, You Dope! Our intrepid hero finds himself menaced by hotsies, Kwistians, sarks, and wumbles. Help arrives from Maggot the witch, but Maggot is a busy witch and doesn't have time to explain how to use the bag of spells she gave him, so he must figure them out by himself…. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

Keepin' it real this week...and always. During this crazy time in history, I believe it's important to focus on things that truly make us come alive and live as fully as we can. How do you come alive? What is it that makes you truly makes you feel like YOU?! I want you to take this week and this month to really think about this question. How you ever really stopped to think about what it is you actually like to do? Something that makes me come ALIVE is music and dancing! There is nothing like jamming out to your favorite song and leaving it all out on the dance floor! I also love the quiet times I give myself in the morning to tune in, to get quiet, to the journal, to mediate. What are you curious about? A lot of these episodes have been about self-development because it's what I am most curious about + it has radically my life and, I feel compelled to share this with you. How to Come Alive: Write out how you're feeling right now. Ask if this is how you want to feel? If not...then do something to raise your vibration! Free flow write for 5 minutes (set a timer and do this) about what you like to do, what brings you joy, what lights a fire under you. Pick a couple of those things and do them (assuming they can be done inside). What did you do as a kiddo? What innate things did you use to do as a child that made you feel alive? Incorporate those into your daily life! Heck, pick a whole day where you only do what your inner child wants and let your intuition guide you! It's MAGIC! I pray you take this time to FULLY live while you can. We aren't promised tomorrow. Let's wake up and come ALIVE...together! Light + Love ✌

This time listening to a great episode of Street Shots Podcast, by our good friend Antonio M. Rosario, about numbers in photography, we took another trip out to break rules of photography. Why not? First off, it was middle of the day, bautiful blue cloudless skies... these are not the conditions a landscape photographer likes. So we attempted the impossible. Try to create a few images that would not suck. Have we accomplished that? Have a look and tell us.
