Police in Aurora, Colorado, responded to social media claims that the Hells Angel Motorcycle Club is headed to the state and said they “do not believe the posts to be credible.” Despite this, the Aurora Police Department told NewsNation affiliate KDVR it is continuing to monitor the situation. Posts claiming that Hells Angels was headed to the area began circulating on social media over the weekend. The group is an international outlaw motorcycle club that was first founded in California in the mid-20th century. Members of the group have been involved in previous incidents in Colorado, including a deadly shootout between them and a rival gang in 2020 where a ranking Hells Angel member was killed.

The Wall Street Journal says Denver now has the higher per capita population of illegal aliens. And the local Fox Affiliate, Channel 31, KDVR, reports that Denver is now cutting taxpayer funded city services in order to provide social services to illegal aliens. Why should taxpayers forego services they paid for, as citizens, to provide services to non-citizens who do not pay taxes?

Citing a recent KDVR Fox 31 story which revealed a study showing Denver ranking as the worst city to raise a family, Dan ponders whether he and his wife Aimee would leave Colorado if their kids were toddlers instead of in their twenties. Mandy Connell, 850 KOA host, joins Dan to detail why she defected from the Republican party after Dave Williams won election as the state's GOP chair.

A missing 14-year-old girl was last seen attending a high school football game with some "older" and "sketchy"-looking men, and police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating her. Chloe Campbell was reported missing on September 30 by the Boulder Police Department. Reports have surfaced that she told friends she was "safe with a 'family' in Arizona and does not want to return home." "We have been unable to confirm if these messages are, in fact, from Chloe or true," the police said. David Campbell, Chloe's father, told KDVR-TV that the messages purportedly sent by his daughter are "suspicious" because "we do not have family in Arizona." Although the disappearance of Chloe does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert to be issued, police in Boulder are "growing increasingly concerned about the teen's safety," as they "believe that she has no access to money or her medication." According to reports, investigators think Chloe may be in the company of a grown male. When she didn't come home on September 30 as expected, David said his family became "very concerned" after learning that she had been seen with two older men during lunch at Boulder High School. She was reportedly also spotted attending the evening's football game with them. According to David's statement to KDVR, "these men were described as being sketchy and too old for high school students." According to a report from CBS Colorado: An unknown Snapchat handle sent David and his family a photo of Chloe, and David said the teenager "looked injured and unwell." Mother pleaded for Chloe's return, pleading, "All of us here adore you. That's okay, you're not in any kind of trouble. Please come home if you can, but if not, we won't give up looking for you." Today, President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela is facing a direct challenge to his power. The opposition leader Juan Guaidó, encouraged by, empowered by, supported by and emboldened by the Trump administration, swore himself as President Maduro's interim replacement, even though Maduro is still the democratically elected president of that country. Canada, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, the Organization of American States and the US have also recognized Mr. Guaidó as the country's leader. Mr. Maduro was sworn in as president for a second six-year term on January 10, after a disputed election in May. It is important for Americans to understand that Venezuela is now surrounded by right-wing leaders in Colombia and Brazil, both of which were supported by, if not put in power by the intervention of, the US. In Venezuela, hyperinflation led Maduro to instate a new currency, which in recent months has been losing value as well. More than 3 million Venezuelans have fled the country for lack of food and medicine. All of these problems have been exacerbated if not caused by sanctions and other types of intervention and manipulation of the US. This so-called crisis in Venezuela is not organic; it is caused by external intervention, which the US is so offended by, as it claims Russia has tried to do here. What does this mean for Venezuela? Who is Juan Guaidó, and how has he come to the forefront as the leader of the National Assembly?In the wake of the Los Angeles Unified School District teachers' strike ending, United Teachers Los Angeles says its members overwhelming support a new contract agreement with the district. The union and the school board still must officially ratify the pact. Another western school district is set to go out on strike. After more than a year of tense negotiations with the school district, Denver teachers overwhelmingly voted to strike late Tuesday. Following two days of voting, the Denver Classroom Teachers Association (DCTA) announced that 93 percent of its members approved a strike after negotiations failed. "Denver teachers overwhelmingly agreed to strike," lead negotiator Rob Gould said during a news conference on Tuesday. Try to follow the career path on this one. Anne Herbst studied journalism in college with the intentions of being a newspaper reporter. Her professor said she was better at shooting video, so she became a staff photographer at a TV station. She got hired as a staff photographer at KUSA-TV in Denver -- one of the top shops in the country for video journalism -- but gradually began writing her own stories ... to which reporters would then put their voices. She left KUSA to become a solo video journalist at the Denver Post. If you're scoring at home, Herbst went from a TV station to a newspaper and went from being a traditional photographer to doing everything herself. This past year, she returned to TV as the assistant chief photographer at KDVR-TV, Denver's FOX affiliate. Herbst is a hallmark of developing numerous skills and leveraging one's talent to find high-quality positions in the field of journalism. She has charted her own course in many ways, always finding ways to progress and improve. Oh, and it helps that Herbst is really, really good at her job.
