September 24, 2021 - Season 12, Episode 27 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday show, Alex Kozora and I get right to talking about the Pittsburgh Steelers injury report heading into Friday. It's full of questionable players so we do our best at predicting how Sunday will shake out for each of them. The Steelers had several media sessions on Thursday and those included coordinators Keith Butler and Matt Canada. Alex and I hit on the main talking points from both coaches. We also go over a few things said on Thursday by outside linebacker Melvin Ingram and defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs ahead of the Steelers Sunday Week 3 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. We talk some about what we expect to see out of Buggs and possibly outside linebacker Jamir Jones on Sunday against the Bengals. With the Steelers Week 3 game forthcoming, Alex and I dive deep into our final breakdowns of that contest against the Bengals. We talk about the best way to defend the Bengals offense and especially quarterback Joe Burrow. We also discuss the Bengals great receiving core.We discuss what we think the Steelers might try to do offensively on Sunday against the Bengals and if we think the running game will have some success in Week 3 with rookie running back Najee Harris. As usual, we pick all the remaining Week 3 NFL games against the spread later in this show and then follow that up by answering several emails we received from the listenership.

It's your chance, yes your chance, to get up and dance at the Space Jam! Will and Miranda are talking about the 1996 film that changed everybody's lives forever. In so many ways: socially, sexually, economically, and geographically. Michael Jordan and his band of Looney Tunes, NBA super stars and Bill Murray take on evil Danny DeVito and the Monstars to save Buggs and the crew from slavery. Yeah that really is the elevator pitch for this buck wild movie. I hope you are ready for a nostalgic deep dive into this insane concept for a film. Oh yeah....also Miranda is back!

"Garage Rock" is a term that was first used in the Sixties to describe a raw rock sound along with an attitude of anger or disdain towards an antagonist in a song. The production value was very minimal and the results were an exciting and powerful sound. The term was later referenced as 'Punk Rock" or identified as "Nuggets", a term associated with the original Elektra Records compilation of 1960's underground and psychedelic rock. Garage Rock is still with us today despite some people playing music on a laptop on stage. People still want to hear the raw power of a band playing live and the excitement that comes from pure rock 'n roll. You're  financial contributions are welcomed in helping to keep the production going.Paypal account: sonictyme@yahoo.comAlso:Listen to previous shows at the main webpage at:https://www.buzzsprout.com/1329053View and purchase wonderful art by Patricia Rodriguez at:patriciarodriguez (tigerbeearts.com)View the most amazing paintings by Marijke Koger-Dunham (Formally of the 1960's artists collective, "The Fool").Psychedelic, Visionary and Fantasy Art by Marijke Koger (marijkekogerart.com)Tarot card readings by Kalinda available atThe Mythical Muse | FacebookFor your astrological chart reading, contact Astrologer Tisch Aitken at:https://www.facebook.com/AstrologerTisch/I'm listed in Feedspot's "Top 10 Psychedelic Podcasts You Must Follow". https://blog.feedspot.com/psychedelic_podcasts/

"It was a bad hit." In Martin Scorsese's The Irishman, Frank Sheeran tells us that Sally Buggs was killed by the mob for speaking to the FBI without informing the mafia, only to find he did in fact tell someone that he was having a meeting with the feds but that person forgot to pass the message on. But is this really true? Could it be that Buggs was indeed talking to the feds, and was it in fact because of him that the likes of Russell Bufalino, Frank Sheeran and Anthony Provenzano were all sent to prison?  See a video version of this podcast on my YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKNOE-VYDOM&t=360s NEW PODCAST EVERY SUNDAY | WEDNESDAY | FRIDAY Subscribe to my YouTube Channel for more content: https://www.youtube.com/user/TheBlah95  Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/user?u=8580945 Twitter: https://twitter.com/CineRanter

Vid Lamonte' Buggs Jr is an Athlete. Scholar. Entrepreneur. Philanthropist. Bestselling Author. Speaker. Poet. Consultant. Volunteer. Coach. A modern-day “Renaissance man,” Vid Buggs is a man of diverse interests who directs his many talents towards bringing people together, encouraging them to look past their differences to unite to make the world a better place. Vid and his companies 4-U-Nique Publishing and VLB/VBJ Enterprises have been featured in several publications including USA Weekly, Huffington Post, and Forbes. Find out more about Vid at www.vidbuggs.com  Vid grew up in an area where the life expectancy for males was only 29 years.  And, he grew up in the United States, in a place many visit for the beautiful beaches.  I was shocked to learn that he was talking about the Virginia Beach area.  The area has many port cities where incomes are tied to the US military.  There are drug problems, high murder rates, and many low-income families.  Vid has beat the odds, but had to power through a childhood filled with people telling him he couldn’t….they thought he wouldn’t run….and yet he went on to play professional basketball.  And teachers filled his mind with Don’t Do’s, but never replaced the void with what TO do.  How could he dream and set big goals?  He took on a Warrior Mindset with a focus on Faith, Determination and Perseverance.  He now lives to fulfill his mission of instilling these important life skills into children and adults.  As a coach to young athletes he shares basketball skills, but more importantly, tenacity! He also seeks to bring people together and minimize the division we have in our world.  He wants to overcome what divides us as we focus on the plenty that we share in common.  He shares his important messages through speaking and writing.  He also helps other authors get their important messages out for impact. His biggest internal challenge has been his battle with perfectionism and his largest external challenge is being a minority in America.  When he walks into a room, stigma follows and he must work 10 times harder as a result.  In tough times he remembers those who came before him and worked through their own struggles and he also relies heavily on his faith, turning to the Bible for strength and perseverance.  With his focus there he can get up and keep moving to overcome his next challenge.  For others who are working to make their impact, he shares that you must continue to take intentional and meaningful action.  Start small.  Small builds and the ripple will eventually create a wave.  Just keep moving!

What would make the most difference in the lives of others around us? What if it’s us helping them take their next best step? Most people we meet and walk past every day in our communities are people who are trying to do their best and live a better life. But sometimes they don’t know what steps to take and there are obstacles in place that are keeping them from doing that. And it may be up to us to help them take those steps. Derick Buggs has been a community leader in the South Bend area for decades in business, church leadership, and now in city social services. He has a successful record of accomplishment in mentoring young men and helping them overcome obstacles.  Derick is a frequent speaker around the Midwest and a sought-after expert on mentoring young men in urban contexts. He stops by the podcast to share stories of encouragement and reminds us that the people we meet at fast food restaurants and in the community need our care and attention if we just stop long enough to pay attention.   In this episode of Enlightened Entrepreneur, Vid Lamonte Buggs Jr. talks about his amazing journey from being a professional basketball player into becoming a full-time business owner. Vid also shares important insights about how to get started with publishing business in today’s market and what motivates him to keep moving forward.   Key Questions Asked: How did Vid get started with his business and why did he decide to go into publishing? How long did it take for Vid to actually establish his own company? What major roadblocks did Vid have to face when he was starting to establish his company? How has Vid managed to deal with the difficulty of balancing time? Who were Vid’s mentors and what were their roles in the growth of his business? What were the common pitfalls he had fallen into and how can they be avoided by other business owners that are just starting today? What are the best tools or ways to build a team in this time and age? What were the major changes that took place in Vid’s life as well as his mindset as he transitioned from being a professional basketball player to a full-time business owner? How is the world of publishing different now than when Vid first got started? Where should business owners focus their efforts if they want to succeed when it comes to self-publishing? What has publishing his own book done for Vid and what opportunities has it opened for him?   Highlights of Lessons Learned: Research, Plan, Delegate When starting a publishing business, it is important for every business owner to do research, plan, see what the other publishers were offering and what they were lacking and build the company around that. Because the field is constantly changing, planning and research will help all business owners to maintain their short-term and long-term goals. Vid’s first major mistake was trying to do everything by himself. His advice to overcome or avoid this is to delegate tasks to other people who are experts in the areas where you are weak or you might not have time for.   Establish a Team In building a team, it is important that everyone is able to work together, otherwise, your company or your product just falls apart. In looking for people to hire, Vid advises you to find people that you have chemistry with. Having a survival mindset and waking up every day knowing that his team depends on him changed Vid’s attitude about his business

Alabama Football Podcast - College Football Talk dedicated to the University of Alabama Crimson Tide

In this episode Tom and Dave from the Alabama Football Podcast breakdown the Tide’s closer than expected win over the Aggies of Texas A&M.   Offensive Misfires All the elements of recent romps by the Tide were present on Saturday but Alabama wasn’t able to string them all together. The ball distribution was there as 6 different receivers caught passes and at least 3 more were targeted. Big plays were had by Damien Harris and Calvin Ridley. Creativity was also on display in the pivot route for a touchdown by Henry Ruggs. But credit the A&M’s defense for making it a tough row to hoe. Stout inside and athletic outside, the Aggies disrupted the Tide run and pass games and more than doubled the Tide’s loss yardage stats on the season. Open Receiver Position Calvin Ridley is the undisputed number one receiver for Alabama’s passing attack. But who’s ready to step into the breach when called upon?  Who can play the number one role when Cal can’t go? It’s an easier question to answer in the abstract, but Saturday when Ridley was unable to go after suffering a thigh bruise the theory was put to the test. Unfortunately Robert Foster had a forgettable sequence that appeared to take his head out of the game. But true freshman Jerry Jeude appeared both willing and able to fill the void in delivering an important 14 yard catch on a field goal scoring drive late the contest. The jury remains out on who really is the second alpha in the receiver room but Alabama may have an emerging candidate. Infestation Isaiah Buggs had a breakout game with a team leading 10 tackles. Buggs had been a staple in the Tide’s Defensive Line rotation all season, but against the Aggies he stepped in for the injured DaShaun Hand and demonstrate why he was the top rated JUCO DL prospect back in the spring. Sub-Special Teams Saturday may have been the worst special teams outing for the Tide since the Ole Miss loss in Tuscaloosa in 2015. Most surprising was that JK Scott was the focal point with punts both shanked and blocked. However, even worse was the cutesy attempt to convert rather than possess a fumbled kickoff by A&M. Had Jamie Mosley simply possessed the ball, the Tide would have certainly opened up a larger lead early in the contest. And we’ve seen how that has faired for opponents in the past.   Mini Game balls Anyone can read a headline, but which players contributed in more subtle ways to the Tide’s fortune?   Alabama’s Next Opponent Next up for Alabama is a Homecoming celebration as the Tide welcomes the Razorbacks of Arkansas to Tuscaloosa.   Kick After – a ‘lil nugget that didn’t make the show Last week I enjoyed one of my favorite college modern football traditions. You see, I have a friend with whom I worked back in the late 90s who is an A&M grad. Over the years we’ve remained in contact and we’ve talked or emailed lots of college football talk. When the Aggies joined the SEC a few years back we started trading reports over our respective teams to help prepare the other for the game – team tendencies, non-headliners to watch, and some predictions on how we might respectively attack the other team. Last week was a particularly long work week and I put his email off most of the week. But when I finally read it through and started working on my response, it dawned on me how much I enjoyed that annual process and how much I’ve valued keeping in touch with my Aggie buddy over the years. Oh and here’s a bonus extra point. I predicted this about a year ago. We hope you’ll check out the Podcast and in the meantime, Roll Tide!

The core of this business will always be people. When you understand people and know how to move people, you’ll understand this industry called Network Marketing. Holton Buggs shows us how to compete for the heart. Also, how to not get discouraged when your friends and family don’t support you. Here’s your chance to finally own my most treasured collection of network marketing training... Reports, Checklists, and Implementation guides. Literally everything I use to grow and operate my network marketing business. Who is Holton Buggs? Holton Buggs was raised by a single mom in the Ponce De Leon projects in Tampa, Florida. His mom worked several jobs to support the family and always encouraged Holton to achieve a better life. Holton started his entrepreneur journey at the age of 14 by cutting hair to make money; and then got tired of doing all the work himself and discovered leveraged by buying candy in bulk and recruiting people to sell it for him. In 1996, at the age of 27, he started his first of many businesses; a furniture business which eventually went out of business. And that’s when Holton rediscovered network marketing. Holton never made more than $500 a month for his first 7 years in MLM and his organization never grew to more than 50 people. His friends thought he was crazy to stick with MLM but Holton kept going cause he decided to listen to his mentor instead of his peers. Eventually Holton had his breakthrough and today Holton is a multiple 7 figure earner and one of the most recognizable names in the network marketing profession. Vid L. Buggs Jr. Shares One Tip for Choosing the Right People For Your Team In this episode of Enlightened Entrepreneur, Vid Lamonte Buggs Jr. talks about his amazing journey from being a professional basketball player into becoming a full time business owner. What were the major changes that took place in Vid’s life  as well as his mindset as he transitioned from being a professional basketball player to a full time business owner? How is the world of publishing different now than when Vid first got started? Where should business owners focus their efforts if they want to succeed when it comes to self publishing? What has publishing his own book done for Vid and what opportunities has it opened for him?   Highlights of Lessons Learned: Research, Plan, Delegate When starting a publishing business, it is important for every business owner to do research, plan, see what the other publishers were offering and what they were lacking and build the company around that. Because the field is constatnly changing, planning and research will help all business owners to maintin their short term and long term goals. Vid’s first major mistake was trying to do everything by himself. His advice to overcome or avoid this is to delegate tasks to other people who are experts in the areas where you are weak or you might not have time for.   Establish a Team In building a team, it is important that everyone is able to work together, otherwise your company or your product just falls apart. In looking for people to hire, Vid advises you to find people that you have chemistry with. Having a survival mindset and waking up everyday knowing that his team depends on him changed Vid’s attitude about his business.
