With members in over 80 countries around the world, and Royal Academy of Dance's relationship with its members depends on its National Directors. They include Olivia Lume, who last year celebrated her 40th year with the RAD. As National Director for the Academy in Africa, she has lived through historic changes, and has seen the RAD grow, especially after its flagship event – now The Fonteyn, formerly the Genée International Ballet Competition – was held for the first time in Africa, in Cape Town in 2011. We were really excited to have John & Eleanor Mumford with us sharing a message on Sunday the 21st of May, 2023. They founded the first Vineyard Church in the UK, were the National Directors of Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland and are now the coordinators of Vineyard Global.
Blunt Force Discussion Episode 28Another amazing digital episode with one of the National Directors of the Lexit movement. We talk about how her relationship with Lexit fell apart and how the GOP lost the Latino vote in the gubernatorial recall out of tribal opinions. We covered conservatism and single parent households, gay marriage and several issues including abortion. We talk about our roll as Christians to bring people to God with guidance and love instead of hammering Non-Christians into submission. We talk about her losing her good friend, Jay, from her time managing Patriot Prayer. This was during the Summer of Love when an alt left extremist killed Jay whom was deemed a white supremacist and was killed in the middle of the street because he was simply exercising his first amendment rights. This situation, when Carmen posted regarding the atrocity of this situation and the misinformation of him being a white supremacist caused their pages and her personal to be banned and deleted off of FB. FB then deleted the group off Facebook as a dangerous and violent militia. She talked about how she got into being a first amendment and conservative activist with her trip to Hong Kong and why she believes she needed to stand up. We talked election, midterms, the red ripple and the future of our politics. Ballot Harvesting legally is a tool the republicans refuse to use until it's outlawed. We talk about how big of a threat Pharma poses and the news around project Veritas and James O'keefe. All I can tell you… it's a great episode with a very interesting and educated guest with a passion for politics and creating real change in this country. You aren't going to want to miss this episode. Some thoughts during the show… What is Lexit? What is parental rights? How do we get our country back on track? How to work on winning elections? The Ferment Podcast - Conversations About Worship And Transformation
It's season FIVE of The Ferment Podcast, and our friend David Ruis is back to kick it off with a conversation about communal discernment of prophetic words! He and Adam talk about how and why the Lord speaks in a community, the process of discerning the timing and meaning of words, and some lessons they've learned the hard way. David and Anita Ruis have lead, encourage, and empowered the Vineyard in Canada as the National Directors since 2014. David is a well-respected worship leader and songwriter (You're Worthy Of My Praise, Every Move I Make) and has also authored two books: The Worship God Is Seeking and The Justice God Is Seeking. Most recently, he is a contributing songwriter on Vineyard Worship's highly anticipated album “This Joy”, releasing summer 2023! As a team David and Anita are also known to be effective church planters and seasoned pastors, having established churches in Canada and the US. David has also been instrumental in seeing Vineyard communities established in Nepal and India. Much of the Ruises' focus has been in indigenous settings, working with people experiencing poverty and subsequent marginalization. They also have significant experience facilitating leadership development and on the creative side David is known for fostering originality in song-writing and the arts in various cultural settings. A burning passion for the Ruises is both practical and theological integration of creative worship in church community, and deep life engagement with issues of poverty and social injustice. The Ruises currently reside in Kelowna, BC. In their down time they love to be creative and hang with their grandkids. In this episode, we asked Chas Borgardus of Budd’s Pools & Spas back to discuss the pool closing season with us. Winterizations may not be something we deal with much here in Arizona, but we know a large portion of the country enters their closing season after Labor Day and we wanted to discuss them. Being from the New Jersey area and on the board of directors of NESPA, Chas has a ton of experience on this topic and has taught many pool closing classes over the years. When it comes to closing a pool, it is critical that it is done correctly so that the lines do not crack or burst when it gets to freezing temperatures. That’s why it is so important to understand what you are doing. Throughout the episode, we discuss Budd’s closing process, some best practices, common mistakes, balancing the water, blowing out lines, pool covers, scheduling, and more. Budd’s Pools & Spas began with the vision of one man, Herb Budd, Jr. He founded the company fresh out of college in 1958, working side by side with his wife Phyllis. That same year, Budd’s Pools & Spas became a member of the National Spa and Pool Institute, where Herb later served as one of the National Directors. With continued service and dedication, Herb and Phyllis grew Budd’s Pools & Spas to become an award-winning business, highly respected by its peers in the industry. In 1998, Budd’s Pools & Spas became one of 13 pool and spa dealers nationwide to be inducted into the AQUA 100 HALL OF FAME. The Aqua 100 Hall of Fame recognizes companies selected as the top 100 Pool and Spa dealers in the industry for five or more consecutive years. In this episode, we sat down with Chas Bogardus of Budd’s Pools & Spas to discuss all things Pool Openings. This is a topic that we are not too familiar with being from Arizona, so we thought it was best to talk to an expert about it. Memorial Day is approaching quickly and we know many of you are starting to open your pools. Budd’s has been around since 1958, so they know what they are doing! Chas shares their process of opening a pool with us as well as some best practices, most common mistakes, and how pool openings can differ with every pool. He believes that a “summerization” customer is an important one because they are choosing to have the company open the pool instead of doing it themselves and that the company should go above and beyond to ensure those customers are properly taken care of.
