This week I'm looking at some UFO sightings in New Jersey, specifically near Vasa Park, Budd Lake, and Mount Olive in Warren and Morris Counties! A few weeks ago, we camped at Gormanudur Viking Fest, held at Vasa Park. It was a beautiful event with good people, good food, and good times. But there have been some interesting UFO sightings right in the area. Stories this week include: two friends see a yellow, teardrop-shaped object near their apartment building; a witness see what he thinks is a satellite, until it grows bright and changes direction; two men have car trouble near a field and spot a large, black, triangular UFO hovering above; some coworkers relaxing in a field see a large disc-shaped craft silently gliding over the treetops; and a bright white light is seen rising over a general store and then zipping off into the sky at incredible speed. Amid all the culture wars and controversies at North Carolina's legislature, some legislation features Republicans and Democrats quietly working together. There are plenty of examples of bills developed by lawmakers from both parties working together, ultimately leading to unanimous votes with no debate. Rep. Laura Budd, D-Mecklenburg, is one of the few Democrats who's sponsored bills that passed the House this year. She spoke with WUNC's Colin Campbell about how she's developed relationships across the political divide and the legislation she's developed with GOP colleagues. Budd also spoke about her concerns with the House budget bill, and the awkward moments that come from sharing a last name with a prominent U.S. senator.

Kill Bill, Vol. 2To make Budd's Margarita, you'll need:-Kosher Salt-Lime-1 1/2 oz silver tequila-1 oz Gran Marnier-1/4 oz agave syrupDirections:Spread 2 teaspoons kosher salt in an even layer on a small flat plate.Halve 1 medium lime. Cut 1 lime wedge from one half, then juice the remaining lime pieces until you have 1 ounce.Run the lime wedge over the rim of an Old-Fashioned or margarita glass to moisten.Invert the glass into the salt, turning it as needed, to coat the rim. Fill the glass with ice.Place the lime juice, 1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila, 1 ounce orange liqueur, and 1/4 ounce agave nectar or simple syrup if using in a cocktail shaker.Fill the shaker halfway with ice, seal, and shake until the outside of the shaker is very frosty, about 20 secondsPour through a fine-mesh strainer into the glass. The VW Bus, in its many forms, has become one of the most recognizable vehicles in the company's history. Sure, it might be second to the VW Beetle, but even that might be a close race. While the bus has been out of production for decades for use in the U.S. market, the folks at VW showed off a battery-electric concept in 2016 dubbed BUDD-e. Of course, wiser heads prevailed, and the concept van was updated and given a new name in 2017: ID. Buzz. Of course, it would be a while before the ID. Buzz hit U.S. shores, but a successor to the VW Bus is finally showing up on U.S. streets. The '25 VW ID. Buzz rides on the brand's MEB platform and packs a 91-kWh battery pack under its floor.
