News:Well, here we are again folks with another installment of The Good Man's Radio Show for your pleasure. Big thanks once again to Andrew North for making it possible and Matt G for filling the Audio Library some more. Good news for you all, the show is now only partially blocked on YouTube, fortunately only in Russia/Belarus (they don't know what they're missing). This means that all the newer shows should be available to listen to on YouTube so they should reach a bigger audience at some point. More love to share is a good thing. If anyone can do me a Big Favour and visit the site and start liking and leaving comments, that would be very much appreciated as it seems, the more people visit the more YouTube pushes it on peoples feed and more folks get to be aware of it. Anyway, hope you enjoy the show and thanks to you all for the support and listens so far. Tracklist: Night Owl – The Nocturnes Imagination – Clayton Squares Candy Store Prophet – Tommy Sands Sunshine Superman – The Standells Born to Be Wild – Slade When All Your Friends Have Gone – Steamhammer Slipping Away – Orang-Utan Broke and Lonely – Johnny ‘Guitar' Watson Help Me – Owen Gray Now Let's Popeye – Eddie Bo Diamonds in The Mine – Leonard Cohen My Delicate Skin – Dave Cartwright The Monk – Rupert Hine I Don't Know What It Is, But It Sure Is Funky – Ripple Hercules – Aaron Neville But I Do – The Walker Brothers Love to Love – Neil Diamond Don't make it So Hard (on me baby) - Simon Dupree & The Big Sound Pandemonium Shadow Show – Mandrake Paddle Steamer The Spider & The Fly – The Dakotas Thru The Rhythm – 13th Floor Elevators A Little Bit of Shangri-La – Our plastic Dream Choose Who I Like – Mort & The Mobees Shape of Things to Come – Max Frost & The Troopers My New Day and Age – The Mindbenders Snakeskin – Julie Felix Sunshine River – Gemini In The Wee Small Hours of Sixpence – Procol Harum With a minute to Go – Leaf Hound Levinia – Steamhammer Why Does it Go On – Rod Stewart Why Do You Stand in My Way – Pros & Cons Take it Back – Cream Try Again – Tranquility Rosie Can't Fly – Sleepy Minute Prologue – Leonard Cohen

News:Well, been a hectic few weeks with a major PC crash and burn. Only just managed to get a reinstall and get some programs running. Fortunately I had already recorded this episode with the intention of releasing it a week ago and had backed it up. Just as well, as Windows reinstalled and ignored my request to save all my files. I now have a working PC with nothing on it. Oh well, back to the drawing board I guess. Anyway, enjoy this episode and if you have any suggestions, requests or feedback please don't hesitate to get in touch.https://www.facebook.com/TheGoodmansRadioShowPodcast https://www.buzzsprout.com/852472/14675743 https://twitter.com/TheGood_Man7 https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/info18264Tracklist:Next in Line – The BirdsDiamond Girl – The KingpinsBig Bare Beat – The British Lion OrchestraLet Me Show You How – Glen Athens & The TrojansWarning – Aynsley DunbarBedtime Blues – Killing FloorCat Fever – FannyLittle Girl – SpivGroovin' With Mr Bloe – Mr. Bloe Yoyo Thoughts – Mark Wirtz Fluid – Twink Space Plane – David McNeil Burning My Fingers – The Shakespeares Where Do You Go? – Fever Tree Open Air Shop – The Savage rose See Us Here – Slade People Change Your Mind – Killing Floor Never met a Dog - Vinegar Joe I Got My Mojo Worning – Rotary Connection Indian Maid – The Ghost You Don't Know What Love Is – Susan Jacks Meet on The Ledge – Prelude The Beard – jasper We Are the Moles pt1 – The Moles I Ain't no Miracle Worker – The Chocolate Watchband Live And Let live – Love Wait For me – Les Fleur de Lys Somebody's Always Trying – King Size Taylor Ain't Doing Too Bad pt 1 & 2 – Ray Hoff and The Offbeats Cuttin' Out – Jasper Circles – Vinegar Joe Two Weeks last Summer – Dave Cousins

News:Well, here we are folks for another fun packed instalment of The Good Man's Radio Show ep.69. Thanks to all for listening and for the positive vibes. Makes all the hard work worth doing I feel. I am always striving to keep the music true to the ethos of the show and keep it well mixed, but I have thrown in some more obvious names this episode which may make the show a little more accessible to any new listeners. In saying this, I don't want to do a show all about The Beatles or The Rolling Stones broken up by Jimi Hendrix tracks. Some may like it but there's plenty more music out there waiting to be mined from the depths for your aural pleasure. Her mom's reasoning was that she simply didn't want to have to speak to her dad, so you can see why things are still tough with her parents. Post-divorce, her dad returned to college to pursue another degree, and after he graduated, he landed a really great job working with one of his friends. Currently, her dad is really rich because of his new career. A couple of months ago, her dad began seeing this girl named Sarah, who is only a year older than she is, and although her dad refers to Sarah as his “girlfriend,” Sarah is clearly being paid to be with him. “She doesn't have a job, and my dad pays for everything, and Sarah is always bragging about the expensive stuff that my dad buys her,” she explained. “All of her friends live a similar lifestyle (I have them as friends on social media). The fact that my dad is “dating” a woman who's a year older than me makes me cringe to the core.” Now, she's engaged, and her wedding is happening in the Summer of 2023. She has already decided that she does not want Sarah to be a guest at her wedding at all, and it's because Sarah is a sugar baby; not her dad's real partner. “My dad obviously didn't take it well and said that Sarah is just as part of the family as my mom's new husband and said that I don't get to decide which relationships are acceptable and which aren't,” she said. andrey – stock.adobe.com – illustrative purposes only, not the actual person https://www.chipchick.com/2022/12/she-told-her-dad-that-his-sugar-baby-is-not-invited-to-her-wedding-and-he-did-not-take-the-news-well.html?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_campaign=Once%20a%20day_2022-12-04_01:30:00&utm_content=20615&utm_medium=FeedBlitzEmail&utm_campaign=Once%20a%20day_2022-12-04_01:30:00&utm_content=20615 "

Francesco Ricasoli: Chianti Classico Brought Alive.

In this podcast Francesco Ricasoli corrects me with my pronounciation of his surname and the fact that vineyards around Brolio were not destroyed in WW2 - Isn't this what a proper chat is all about!! Brolio Castle at the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany is surrounded by vineyards that can best be described as the beating heart of Italian wine. This is where the Ricasoli family have been making news and wine since 1171.  News? Well, in 1872 Baron Bettino Ricasoli originated the formula for Chianti wine, now called Chianti Classico. While this has long since been discarded as a formula it was an extraordinary innovation for its time. Francesco Ricasoli, current owner and President of the company, has generated new ideas and concepts to render his vineyards sustainable. An ongoing study of soil types and a clonal selection of the Brolio Sangiovese are among his greatest passions. Francesco has totally renovated the vineyards and completely mapped them.  Wines? Attention to detail pays off for Ricasoli as every wine with his name attached to it is exceptional. In this podcast we hear how this is achieved and what lies in store for Chianti Classico one of the greatest wine regions in the world.  Enjoy. Ricasoli wines are distributed in Ireland by Cassidy Wines. This is a Zoom Interview podcast. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- While all restaurants in Ireland were closed until recently many reopened only to have to close again! We should remember that many of these, including the wonderful Monty's of Kathmandu, are family businesses. They are often small and brilliant and need our support more than ever. This is a very, very difficult time for restaurants across Ireland. Keep Safe and Keep well.  Kevin Ecock's WinePod is brought to us with the assistance of the Santa Rita Wine Room at Monty's of Kathmandu - an excellent place to host events and celebrations. One day, hopefully soon, this will once again be available to us all.   Contact Shiva at 01 -6704911 or HERE at the Santa Rita Wine Room web page.

Warning - Phil turns into a grumpy old fan at one point! Review - The Isos Network This month, Phil and Paul take a look at The Isos Network from Big Finish, starring Frazer Hines and Wendy Padbury. And what a jolly time they had too! Being whizzed back to the Troughton era seemed to go down well with the pair of them so sit back and listen to two middle aged men feeling nostalgic!

The post-lockdown world is upon us, and with it, a lot of job losses. The next few months are going to be difficult, to say the least. In this podcast, we're talking about how business leaders should tell their people bad news. It's never great, but you can make it much worse by handling it badly - and conversely, you can make it hurt a little less by doing it well. We're drawing here on our own experience, and hoping we can help you rise to this horrible challenge and come through it like a decent human being. Serious, important stuff.

News: Well incase you have been living under a rock for the last few days Harley Davidson has release a few new bikes and shook up their lineup.  Here are three articles that we read before we chat. Need information about new Harleys, and another take and another.  We also talk about a first ride.   Here’s the lowdown. Dyna line has been dropped.   Some model names have been merged with Softail line: lowrider, fatbob, and streetbob have been carried forward to merge with the heritage deluxe, classic, softail slim, breakout, and fatboy.   8 new bikes. Common features are the dual counterbalanced Mil 8, with some (classic, fatboy, breakout) available with the 114. ABS is either standard or available (really!) but they don’t mention if its reflex linked as in the Rushmore and onward touring line.   All have single front rotors (boo). Bike weight reduced up to 35 lbs (yawn), frames are much stiffer and shocks have all been redesigned with showa cartridge like front forks and rear shocks that are easily preload adjustable and have more travel. Greater ground clearance and lean angle has been incorporated. Bikes are claimed to have much improved handling, significantly more torque. The engines are not identical to the 8’s in the touring models, as they now have large oil coolers between the front frame members that look like water radiators. Presumably, engine heat had to be addressed in the softail models, perhaps because they don’t have the farings to redirect the heat as in the baggers? 3 to 5 gallon gas tanks. All bikes have led lighting that varies from modern to futuristic looking, some have lcd readouts instead of the traditional analogue dials with inset lcd windows.   Indian opens an experience center. There he has to wait for a year before he can return to the Otherworld. Only then will he see whether Rhiannon's plan will work and he can regain his Faerie Bride. Not from Nantle but from our own research.. The Court of Hefaydd Hen THE COURT OF HEFEYDD HEN (or Hyfaidd Hen) – unknown, but, according to the Mabinogion, certainly not in Dyfed. But according to some other traditions, Hefeydd was the first King of Dyfed. Gorsedd Arberth was his burial place and also the entrance to Annwn. Was this the enchanted castle in the third Branch? A hero called Hefeydd Hir is found in the 6th century epic poem Y Gododdin (composed by a Briton named Aneurin who lived in a land which is now part of Scotland). In the second Branch of the Mabinogion he appears as one of the Seven Knights, King Hefeydd of Dyfed who died in 892 etc... Hefeydd was a common name in Mediaeval Wales. The Kingdom of Gwawl fab Clud Map of Scotland showing the Wall It is said that the literal meaning of the name is “Wall Son Of Wealth”. “Gwawl”, according to the University of Wales Dictionary means: The Vallum (Roman wall) between the Firth of Forth and the Firth of Clyde - the Antonine Wall, not Hadrian’s Wall Man Light But his last name more than likely refers to the River Clyde in Scotland. Therefore he was one of the people of the Old North, that is to say they were Britons, like the Welsh. Alt Clud - now called Dumbarton Rock Their capital was Allt Clud – a huge rock on the further north bank of the River Clyde. [Now called Dumbarton (City of the Britons) Rock NS399745].
