Your hosts can't help dabbling in pen territory yet again. But, Mark quickly moves to reprimanding Grant's lack of communication, and overall disinterest in a fine Disney Halloween movie. We'll get ‘em next year.Mark brings a Domestic Abuse comic, and the transition to it in the show is just as awkward as typing this into the show notes. Luckily, your hosts pass it by and instead discuss food construction, or whatever better phrase that exists.Grant brings Cornered. Mark does a hard pivot to explore the recesses of his own morality.Send feedback to firstname.lastname@example.org.

Jordan and Alex discuss a Disney Halloween classic much beloved by their fellow Millennials. It's a tale chock full of rotted pumpkins, bad Boston accents, an army of black cats, and even LSD. You'll learn about all of the weird ties this movie has to the film Titanic and the show Friends, in addition to Sarah Jessica Parker's ancestral ties to the Salem Witch Trials. You'll also discover why Kathy Najimy was initially afraid to appear in the movie, why the producers led Disney exec Jeffrey Katzenberg through a homemade elementary school-style haunted house, why actor Doug Jones had to walk around with real moths in his mouth, and why this film broke Steven Spielberg's heart. Plus, Massachusetts-native Jordan will get to the bottom of why everyone in New England says “wicked” — an insane explanation that, incredibly, involves The Wizard of Oz.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Not-So-Scary happenings of a Disney Halloween are in full swing at the Magic Kingdom, and the ghosts and ghouls have gathered for a delightfully haunting celebration. But why stop at the Magic Kingdom? What if we could expand the spooky season to the rest of Walt Disney World…and beyond? Tonight, we thought we'd explore that very question, and imagine what it would be like to expand the world of Halloween beyond the confines of the Haunted Mansion and that sinister hotel on Sunset Boulevard. So sit back, relax and join us, as we talk about: Our Disney Halloween Dreams!
In this Halloween episode, we take a look at the scary animation, films, and park attractions of Walt Disney. Typically we think of Walt Disney features as being funny family-fare, but there were quite a few memorable frightening moments or characters in Disney features. We're fortunate to be joined by the hosts of the Walt Disney Family Museum official podcast, Bri Bertolaccini and Chris Mullens, who share a ton of amazing stories and details with us! So get comfy as we take you on a tour of Disney frights, from the Skeleton Dance to Pinocchio, from Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent to Dr. Syn, all the way to Disneyland's famed Haunted Mansion. You'll be covered in goose bumps when we're done! You'll also be itching to visit the Walt Disney Family Museum! Our two guests Bri and Chris not only host the WD-FM podcast, they are also part of the team at the museum too. So for the Sensor Sweep, they share what's going on at the museum, which is located at the Presidio in San Francisco. Currently, the museum is featuring a special program, Walt Disney's The Jungle Book: Making a Masterpiece (link) through January 8, 2023. Coming soon is Spirit of the Season, a community art exhibition (link) opening November 17th which runs through the holiday season. And don't forget to tune into the Walt Disney Family Museum official podcast, where you can hear more from Chris and Bri on a range of Disney-related topics! You can find WD-FM on most podcast aps, at https://www.waltdisney.org/podcast, or at their YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/c/WDFMuseum.That's it for us. There's a New DVC Lounge Coming to DisneylandDisney Vacation Club announced the first Member Lounge coming to Disneyland Resort in California and it is expected to open in the first half of 2023. The lounge will be located in Tomorrowland and be called “Disney Vacation Club Star View Station.” Located on the second floor of the Star Wars: Launch Bay building, the space-themed lounge will be home to a dedicated Disney Vacation Club Member Services team, plus lots of casual seating, complimentary Wi-Fi, device-charging stations and more.Similar to the DVC lounge at EPCOT, the Disneyland lounge will be available to eligible Disney Vacation Club Members with valid park tickets and reservations to Disneyland Park, space permitting. -- Is Disney Really Launching a Membership Program Like Amazon PrimeDisney is reportedly planning to launch a new membership program loosely modeled after Amazon Prime that would offer discounts and perks for combining streaming services, theme park visits, resort hotel stays, merchandise purchases and more. The Wall Street Journal reported on this, so there is some sense of reality behind it. The idea is that Disney would use the membership program to make it more attractive for guests and customers to increase spending on all its products and services. For Disney, it would give more consumer data as to your spending habits and more.So would this mean the retirement of programs like D23? How would DVC and Annual Pass perks stack up against this? --Foodie Guide to Halloween Sweets and Treats at Disneyland ResortHalloween season is on now at Disneyland Resort!
