Depuis son lancement en 2018, ZenGo a levé 24 millions de dollars auprès notamment d'Insight Partners et Samsung NEXT. La startup israélienne lancée par Gary Benattar, Omer Shlomovits, Ouriel Ohayon et Tal Be'ery déploie un cryptowallet nouvelle génération qui offre notamment la possibilité de connecter son wallet au monde du Web3 de manière sécurisée."Nous avons commencé avec cette approche de simplifier la création du Wallet, qui est généralement une étape assez complexe et intimidante", explique Ouriel Ohayon, CEO de ZenGo. "ZenGo est un Wallet qui couvre l'essentiel des cryptomonnaies et des fonctions financières. On peut acheter, vendre, échanger des cryptos et les placer en taux d'intérêts."Si ZenGo est bien un wallet pour conserver et échanger des cryptomonnaies, la plateforme vient d'étendre ses fonctionnalités dans sa dernière mise à jour. Those who have been in crypto long enough remember the not-so-good-ol’ days when an air-gapped machine was the only way to store private keys securely. Thankfully, the wallet space has come a long way from that era. But we still live in a world where the seed phrase is the single atomic point of failure. Enter threshold signatures schemes (TSS), a multi-party computation (MPC) where different parties generate a key and are all required to create a valid signature. We’re joined by Omer Shlomovits and Ouriel Ohayon, Co-founders of ZenGo. Their product is a ‘keyless’ crypto wallet, which means users never need to generate or store a key which gives them access to their funds. Keys are created with an MPC, where both ZenGo and the user are required to sign a transaction. TTS opens up exciting new possibilities like social recovery, user permissions for teams, and inheritance planning schemes. I had the privilege of sitting down with Ouriel Ohayon- entrepreneur, angel investor, VC, and founder who has accomplished all this in his 20 or so years in the space. KZen, a company run by former TC editor Ouriel Ohayon, has raised $4 million in seed to build a “better wallet,” obviously the elusive Holy Grail in the crypto world. Benson Oak Ventures, Samsung Next, Elron Ventures invested.
