In the midst of the terrible Trump tax bill moving through Congress, Ralph invites Sarah Anderson who directs the Global Economy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies to discuss the massive tax loopholes huge companies like Amazon get that allow them to pay far less in taxes than ordinary working people. Then, Greg LeRoy from Good Jobs First joins us to discuss how state taxpayers are footing the bill for these massive data centers companies like Google are building all over the country. Plus, Ralph has some choice words for passive unions and responds to listener feedback about our guest last week, Nadav Wieman.Sarah Anderson directs the Global Economy Project at the Institute for Policy Studies and is a co-editor of the IPS website Inequality.org. Her research covers a wide range of international and domestic economic issues, including inequality, CEO pay, taxes, labor, and Wall Street reform. They're (Congress is) planning to give huge new tax giveaways to large corporations like Amazon and wealthy people like Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. And partially paying for those tax cuts for the wealthy by slashing programs that mean so much to so many Americans like Medicaid and food assistance.”Sarah AndersonWe're not going to have a healthy, thriving society and economy as long as we have the extreme levels of inequality that we have today.Sarah AndersonDubbed “the leading national watchdog of state and local economic development subsidies,” “an encyclopedia of information regarding subsidies,” “God's witness to corporate welfare,” and “the OG of ensuring that state and local tax policy actually supports good jobs, sustainability, and equity,”* Greg founded Good Jobs First in 1998 upon winning the Public Interest Pioneer Award. He has trained and consulted for state and local governments, associations of public officials, labor-management committees, unions, community groups, tax and budget watchdogs, environmentalists, and smart growth advocates more than 30 years.Public education and public health are the two biggest losers in every state giving away money to data centers right now.Greg Le RoyWe know of no other form of state spending that is so out of control. Therefore, we recommend that states cancel their data center tax exemptions. Such subsidies are absolutely unnecessary for an extremely profitable industry dominated by some of the most valuable corporations on earth such as Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, and Google.Good Jobs First report: “Cloudy With a Loss of Spending Control”They've (Congress has) known for years that the ordinary worker pays a higher tax rate than these loophole-ridden corporations.Ralph NaderIn my message to Trump, I ask him, "Why is he afraid of Netanyahu? And doesn't he want to come to the rescue of these innocent babies by saying, ‘Mr. Netanyahu, the taxpayers in this country are paying for thousands of trucks stalled at the border of Gaza full of medicine, food, water, electricity, fuel, and other critical necessities? We're going to put a little American flag on each one of these trucks, and don't you dare block them.'”…No answer.Ralph NaderNews 5/23/251. It seems as though the dam in Israeli politics against acknowledging the horrors in Gaza is beginning to break. In an interview with the BBC this week, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stated that what Israel "is currently doing in Gaza is very close to a war crime. Thousands of innocent Palestinians are being killed.” He went on to say, “the war has no objective and has no chance of achieving anything that could save the lives of the hostages.” These quotes come from the Jerusalem Post. And on May 21st, Haaretz reported that opposition party leader Yair Golan warned that Israel could become a “pariah state, like South Africa once was,” based on its actions in Gaza. Speaking a truth that American politicians appear incapable of articulating, he added, a “sane state does not wage war against civilians, does not kill babies as a hobby, and does not set goals for itself like the expulsion of a population.”2. Confirming this prognosis, the Cradle reports “The Israeli military has admitted that more than 80 percent of the people killed in the attacks on Gaza since Israel breached the ceasefire two months ago are…civilians.” This fact was confirmed by the IDF in response to a request from Hebrew magazine Hamakom, wherein “the military's spokesperson stated that 500 of the 2,780 killed in the Gaza Strip as of Tuesday are ‘terrorists.'” Leaving the remaining 2,280 people killed classified as “not suspected terrorists.” The Cradle compares this ratio, approximately 4.5 civilians killed for every combatant, to the Russia-Ukraine war – a ratio of approximate 2.8 to one. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has “claimed that the ratio is just one civilian killed for each combatant killed.” At the same time, AP reports that while Israel has allowed a minimum of humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, under immense international pressure, “none of that aid actually reached Palestinians,” according to the United Nations spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric. The renewed offensive coupled with the barring of humanitarian aid has raised the alarm about mass starvation in Gaza.3. Developments on the ground in Gaza have triggered a new wave of international outcry. On May 19th, leaders of the United Kingdom, France and Canada issued a joint statement, reading in part, “We strongly oppose the expansion of Israel's military operations in Gaza. The level of human suffering in Gaza is intolerable… The Israeli Government's denial of essential humanitarian assistance to the civilian population is unacceptable and risks breaching International Humanitarian Law…We will not stand by while the Netanyahu Government pursues these egregious actions. If Israel does not cease the renewed military offensive and lift its restrictions on humanitarian aid, we will take further concrete actions in response.” The Parliament of Spain meanwhile, “passed a non-binding motion calling on the government to impose an arms embargo on Israel,” per Anadolu Ajansı. This potential ban, supported by all parties except the conservative People's Party and the far-right Vox, would “ban the exports of any material that could strengthen the Israeli military, including helmets, vests, and fuel with potential military use.” Left-wing parties in Spain are now pushing for an emergency session to impose a binding decree to this effect.4. The United States however seems to be moving backwards. Drop Site news reports Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff made a deal with Hamas ensuring that, “the Trump administration would compel Israel to lift the Gaza blockade and allow humanitarian aid to enter the territory…[and] make a public call for an immediate ceasefire,” in exchange for the release of Edan Alexander. Of course, once Alexander was released Trump reneged completely. Basem Naim, a member of Hamas's political bureau, told Drop Site, “He did nothing of this…They didn't violate the deal. They threw it in the trash.” Besides prolonging further the charnel house in Gaza, this duplicity undermines American credibility in the region, particularly with Iran at a time when Trump is seeking a new deal to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.5. Democrats in Congress are inching towards action as well. On May 13th, Senator Peter Welch introduced Senate Resolution 224, calling for “the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to address the needs of civilians in Gaza.” Along with Welch, 45 Democrats and Independents signed on to this resolution, that is the entire Democratic caucus except for John Fetterman. On May 14th, Rashida Tlaib introduced House Resolution 409, commemorating the Nakba and calling on Congress to “reinstate support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which provides life-saving humanitarian assistance to Palestinians.” This was cosponsored by AOC and Reps. Carson, Lee, Omar, Pressley, Ramirez, Simon, and Coleman. And, on May 21st, a group of eight senators – Welch, Sanders, Kaine, Merkley, Murray, Van Hollen, Schatz, and Warnock – sent a letter urging Secretary of State Rubio to reopen the investigation into the death of Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu-Akleh, per Prem Thakker. The Biden administration ruled the death “unintentional,” but a new documentary by Zeteo News reveals a “Biden cover-up.”6. More action is occurring on college campuses as well, as students go into graduation season. At NYU, a student named Logan Rozos said in his graduation speech, “As I search my heart today in addressing you all…the only thing that is appropriate to say in this time and to a group this large is a recognition of the atrocities currently happening in Palestine,” per CNN. NYU announced that they are now withholding his diploma. At George Washington University, the Guardian reports student Cecilia Culver said in her graduation speech, “I am ashamed to know my tuition [fee] is being used to fund…genocide…I call upon the class of 2025 to withhold donations and continue advocating for disclosure and divestment.” GWU issued a statement declaring Culver “has been barred from all GW's campuses and sponsored events elsewhere.” The moral clarity of these students is remarkable, given the increasingly harsh measures these schools have taken to silence those who speak up.7. Moving on, several major stories about the failing DOGE initiative have surfaced in recent days. First, Social Security. Listeners may recall that a DOGE engineer said “40% of phone calls made to [the Social Security Administration] to change direct deposit information come from fraudsters.” Yet, a new report by NextGov.com found that since DOGE mandated the SSA install new anti-fraud checks on claims made over the phone, “only two claims out of over 110,000 were found to likely be fraudulent,” or 0.0018%. What the policy has done however, is slow down payments. According to this piece, retirement claim processing is down 25%. Meanwhile, at the VA, DOGE engineer Sahil Lavingia, “found…a machine that largely functions, though it doesn't make decisions as fast as a startup might.” Lavingia added “honestly, it's kind of fine—because the government works. It's not as inefficient as I was expecting, to be honest. I was hoping for more easy wins.” This from Fast Company. Finally, CBS reports, “leaders of the United States Institute for Peace regained control of their offices Wednesday…after they were ejected from their positions by the Trump administration and [DOGE] in March.” This piece explains that On February 19th, President Trump issued Executive Order 14217 declaring USIP "unnecessary" and terminating its leadership, most of its 300 staff members, its entire board, installing a DOGE functionary at the top and transferring ownership of the building to the federal government. This set off a court battle that ended Monday, when U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell ruled that the takeover was “unlawful” and therefore “null and void.” These DOGE setbacks might help explain Elon Musk's reported retreat from the political spotlight and political spending.8. On May 21st, Congressman Gerry Connolly passed away, following his battle with esophageal cancer. Connolly's death however is just the latest in a disturbing trend – Ken Klippenstein reports, “Connolly joins five other members of Congress who also died in office over the past 13 months…Rep. Raúl Grijalva…Rep. Sylvester Turner…Rep. Bill Pascrell…Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee…[and] Rep. Donald Payne Jr.” All of these representatives were Democrats and their deaths have chipped away at the close margin between Democrats and Republicans in the House – allowing the Republicans to pass Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” by a single vote. Connolly himself prevailed over AOC in a much-publicized intra-party battle for the Ranking Member seat on the House Oversight committee. It speaks volumes that Connolly was only able to hold onto that seat for a few short months before becoming too sick to stay on. This is of course part and parcel with the recent revelations about Biden's declining mental acuity during his presidency and the efforts to oust David Hogg from the DNC for backing primaries against what he calls “asleep-at-the-wheel” Democrats.9. Speaking of “asleep-at-the-wheel” Democrats, Bloomberg Government reports Senator John Fetterman “didn't attend a single committee hearing in 2025 until…May 8, about a week after an explosive New York Magazine story raised questions about his mental health and dedication to his job.” Fetterman, who represents Pennsylvania on the Commerce, Agriculture, and Homeland Security committees skipped the confirmation hearings for Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Budget Director Russ Vought, some of the most high-profile and controversial Trump appointments. Fetterman still has yet to attend a single Agriculture committee hearing in 2025.10. Finally, in more Pennsylvania news, the state held its Democratic primaries this week, yielding mixed results. In Pittsburgh, progressives suffered a setback with the ouster of Mayor Ed Gainey – the first Black mayor of the city. Gainey lost to Allegheny County Controller Corey O'Connor, the son of former Mayor Bob O'Connor, the Hill reports. In Philadelphia however, voters approved three ballot measures – including expanding affordable housing and adding more oversight to the prison system – and reelected for a third term progressive reform District Attorney Larry Krasner, per AP. Krasner has long been a target of conservatives in both parties, but has adroitly maneuvered to maintain his position – and dramatically reduced homicide rates in Philly. The Wall Street Journal reports Philadelphia homicides declined by 34% between 2023 and 2024, part of substantial decline in urban homicides nationwide. Canada rebukes Israel over Gaza conflict, threatening ‘concrete actions'—even sanctions

While many Canadians were enjoying a long weekend for Victoria Day, Canada's new Liberal government issued what many observers feel is this country's strongest criticism since Oct. 7, 2023, of how the Israeli government is carrying out its military operations in Gaza. Canada joined the leaders of the United Kingdom and France in issuing a joint statement on May 19 demanding Israel immediately stop its renewed assaults on Gaza and allow in significantly more humanitarian aid. If Israel fails to comply, the three Western allies say they will take “concrete action”, possibly imposing targeted sanctions, although they were not specific in the threat. The communique deplores Israel's “unacceptable” denial of aid to Palestinians in Gaza since March, when the Netanyahu government stopped allowing trucks in as a way to pressure Hamas to release the remaining 59 hostages, living and dead. The leaders also slammed some Israeli politicians who have been encouraging Palestinians to relocate from Gaza. Israel says it allowed nine trucks to cross into Gaza on May 19, and 93 others went in the following day, carrying baby food, flour and medical supplies. But the United Nations says that amount is merely a drop in the bucket for what's needed to help nearly two million Palestinians in the war-ravaged zone. On today's episode of The CJN Daily, we analyze what's behind Prime Minister Mark Carney's government's first major diplomatic moves on the Middle East crisis. Iddo Moed, Israel's ambassador to Canada, and Maytal Kowalski, executive director of JSpace Canada—an organization that is welcoming the strongly worded Canadian move—both weigh in with their perspectives. What we talked about: Read Canada's joint statement with France and the U.K. on May 19 rebuking Israel's “egregious” military escalation in Gaza. Read what Prime Minister Mark Carney told Israel's president Isaac Herzog about releasing the hostages, Hamas having no role in Gaza, and boosting humanitarian aid when the two men met while at the Vatican on May 18, 2025. Why the JSpace Canada organization launched a letter writing campaign to thank Prime Minister Mark Carney for his “principled leadership” after the rebuke of Israel. If Israel enters the land and follows the Lord's statutes and ordinances, they will be blessed by the Lord. If, however, they turn from keeping his law, they will receive a curse from the Lord, rather than a blessing. After warning the Israelites of what's at stake, Moses begins to give a second presentation of the law of God to a new generation, hence “Deuteronomy,” meaning “second law.” Among his many admonitions is the destruction of high places and altars to foreign gods, saying, “You are not to do as we are doing here today; everyone is doing what seems right in his own sight.” Under this covenant, the purity of God's people as a whole was tantamount, for they represented God on the earth. Therefore sin and idolatry could not be tolerated among those who were a part of Israel.Deuteronomy 11 - 1:01 . Deuteronomy 12 - 7:33 . Deuteronomy 13 - 14:39 . Psalm 63 - 18:44 .  :::Christian Standard Bible translation. All music written and produced by John Burgess Ross.Co-produced by the Christian Standard Bible.facebook.com/commuterbibleinstagram.com/commuter_bibletwitter.com/CommuterPodpatreon.com/commuterbibleadmin@commuterbible.org

BIBLE IN TEN

Tuesday, 3 December 2024   But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Matthew 5:28   “And I, I say to you, that everyone – the ‘seeing a woman to passion upon her' – already he committed adultery with her in his heart” (CG).   In the previous verse, Jesus cited the seventh commandment, “Not you shall commit adultery.” Now, He builds upon that thought with a note concerning the state of the heart, even when the physical act has not taken place, saying, “And I, I say to you.”   Almost all translations say, “But I say to you.” A few say, “However, I say to you.” This is unfortunate. Jesus is not making a contrast. The law is given and He is not in any way undermining it. Rather, He is showing what God considers concerning the intent of the words, “Not you shall commit adultery.”   To get this, a father may say to his son, “You are not allowed to drive the car until you're 16.” However, at 15, the son goes out and sits in the car, starts it, and pretends to drive. When told he was doing wrong, the son may say, “I wasn't driving the car.” With that, the father says, “And I say to you that what you are doing is violating the intent of my words to you.”   He is not saying that his original directive was somehow defective (but). Rather, he is saying that his intent all along has been that the kid leave his car alone until the time that he would be old enough to fiddle with it, much less drive it (and). Understanding this, Jesus next says, “that everyone – the ‘seeing a woman to passion upon her.'”   The word epithumeó is used. It comes from epi, upon, and thumos, an outburst of passion or wrath. Thumos comes from thuo, to rush, where hard breathing takes place. As such, one can see that the word signifies more than just noting a woman's beauty, something that occurs in Scripture from time to time.   Rather, it is the type of passionate gaze that leads to lust. In Romans 13:9, it is the word used when citing the Tenth Commandment, “You shall not covet.” In such a state, Jesus says, “already he committed adultery with her in his heart.”   This is actually the standard that God intends with the words, “Not you shall commit adultery.” How can we know this? First, Jesus said it. But the fact that God included the Tenth Commandment in the Decalogue confirms it.   Coveting is something that is only known to the one coveting and by God. The judges of Israel couldn't hold someone guilty of coveting unless he first confessed that he had done so. They might assume he coveted, but they couldn't actually get inside his head and prove it. And yet, not coveting is a commandment.   As coveting is inclusive of desires that lead to action, such as stealing, murdering, adultery, etc., the intent is what God is evaluating, not merely the act itself. If a woman is married and a man who is not her husband drools over her in his thoughts and heart, he has harbored the desire that can and could lead to action. Therefore, he is guilty of coveting, and in his coveting, he is guilty of adultery.   Life application: In this verse, there is an implicit claim to deity. Jesus could simply be evaluating what He thought was appropriate, but He doesn't say, “This is how I interpret these words.” Rather, He said, “And I, I say to you, that everyone – the ‘seeing a woman to passion upon her' – already he committed adultery with her in his heart.”   He is making an authoritative claim upon the seventh commandment. Were He not God, this would be presumptuous. Someone may even say His words were blasphemous. The charge could be, “Who are you to speak for God?”   But Jesus is qualified to make such an adamant statement about the command because He first gave it to Israel at Mount Sinai. If Israel didn't understand the intent, that doesn't change the nature of the violation. An example of this type of thought leading to sin is found right in Scripture –   “Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king's house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. 3 So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, ‘Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?' 4 Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house.” 2 Samuel 11:2-4   David didn't call for someone to send a concubine or one of his wives to come to him. Rather, he looked upon a woman, coveted her, and called for her to be brought to him. The state of his heart directed his actions.   Jesus, who is God, rightly states the intent behind the command for the people to understand the true intent that God set forth in the Decalogue. Be sure to consider the words of Jesus as the authoritative words of God, because they are.   Glorious God, we have been granted the gift of passion, but it can be turned into a curse when we misuse it. Help us to consider Your word, contemplate its significance, and then rightly apply its precepts to our walk before You. Good things can become bad because of our misdirected thinking. So, Lord, help us to think properly and in accord with the word You have given us. Amen.

Today, we have Kamala Harris doing the same thing. Harris is accused of plagiarizing her first book. However, the majority of Americans might not hear about it because the media is covering it up. Most Americans are getting their election news from ABC, CBS and/or NBC. This plagiarism shows you how unethical and immoral she is. Also, Harris wants indigenous people's day to replace Columbus Day. This is another way for Harris to trash America and push her Marxist agenda. Later, can you think of any reason why there shouldn't be requirements for voter ID to prove that you are an American citizen? Can you think of any reason why a non-citizen should be permitted to be on a voter list for a state, thereby being capable of voting? The DOJ is suing Gov Glenn Youngkin for fulfilling his role and assuring that only legal citizens are able to vote on November 5th. Also, Kamala Harris is sharpening her teeth. Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, and her campaign have decided she can't win on substance or policy. So, she is on the attack against Donald Trump. Harris is trying to cast Trump as the enemy from within while trashing Trump for saying the enemy from within. They are fear-mongering and they keep dehumanizing their political opponents. Finally, Israel has, by itself, changed the nature of the Middle East. If Israel hadn't defied the demands of this pathetic Biden-Harris-Blinken regime they wouldn't have gone into Rafah and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar wouldn't be dead today. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, Israel has, by itself, changed the nature of the Middle East. If Israel hadn't defied the demands of this pathetic Biden-Harris-Blinken regime they wouldn't have gone into Rafah and Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar wouldn't be dead today. Biden's intelligence didn't help to kill Sinwar, the IDF happened upon him and killed him. On top of this, the Biden-Harris administration is still partially withholding arms to Israel. And they're telling Israel not to hit Iran's nuclear and oil sites – which is exactly what you want to hit. Also, vote early and get your vote banked now. Then you will have time to help get other people to vote. Afterward, the FBI secretly changed its crime stats for 2022 – it was underreported. Democrats can't run on reducing crime, reducing illegal immigration, or reducing inflation - so they attack. The media was excited to tell you crime was down because they want Harris elected. Later, Bill O'Reilly joins Mark to discuss Harris' intentional strategy during the Bret Baier interview. She didn't go there to answer questions, she was going to say whatever she wanted to regardless of the question. She didn't persuade anyone to vote for her with that interview. Finally, Miranda Devine calls in to discuss to explain that Harris was caught mingling with an Imam who is a Tehran operative who promotes terrorism. On Friday's Mark Levin Show, thanks to the open Biden/Harris border we have tens of thousands of convicted illegal alien murderers and sexual criminals roaming our streets who were released from their country and sent to America. Kamala does not care about women's rights or children's rights while we have the most slavery since the Civil War. Also, we have an exceedingly immoral administration in Washington D.C. that despises Israel, from Biden and Harris to Blinken and Kirby. If Israel didn't exist we would be the ones targeted by Iran, who has already attacked our troops without any response from Biden. The government is not in service to Democrat oligarchs and we must defend it with whatever platform we have. Later, Mark is joined by military veteran and candidate Sam Brown about his campaign for the U.S. Senate seat in Nevada against a radical leftist democrat, and about his service and injuries sustained from a terrorist roadside bomb. Mark also speaks with journalist and author Miranda Devine about her new book The Big Guy: How a President and His Son Sold Out America. Learn more about your ad choices. This was scripted long ago. If Israel and Iran strike each other, Russia, The United States, most of Europe and China will likely be involved on opposing ends of each other leading to a global catastrophe. Tens of millions will die and we will see tens of millions more people forced into mass migration leading to the furthering of the scripted civil wars in the west. This is all one big agenda to bring in the "Great Reset." Israeli officials are saying that war with Iran is inevitable and that the United States should strike Iran immediately. Trump has already claimed he wants to annihilate Iran because he's controlled by the same people everyone else in politics is paid by. This much is absolutely clear. Meanwhile, The Guardian released hidden camera footage of a major Israeli government contractor openly admitting that Israel rigs countless elections and manipulates people online with Israeli bot farms. Things are about to get a lot crazier and instead of bowing to the state as the solution to the state, people need to leave the plantation once and for all. The future of humanity depends on it. No matter how bad the attack on Palestine gets, Israel seems to find a way to make it worse. With a series of high-profile assassinations that threaten to spark a regional war, Israel has raised the stakes once again. On July 30, it targeted Hezbollah leader Fuad Shukr in Beirut. One day later, it killed Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas' lead ceasefire negotiator, while he was in Tehran. The killings sent shockwaves throughout the world, and both Hezbollah and Iran have vowed to respond, the former declaring that the war had entered a “new phase.” Could we be hurtling towards a wider, regional conflict? To discuss this, MintCast host Mnar Adley is joined by Sharmine Narwani. Narwani is a Beirut-based journalist and political commentator. She is a columnist at The Cradle, a publication covering West Asia that seeks to represent millions of voices not heard in corporate Western media. Before joining The Cradle, she was a senior associate at St. Anthony's College, Oxford.Quoting Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah, Narwani told Adley today that “Israel is crossing all kinds of red lines now,” and is acting in an increasingly “unhinged” manner, actions which fundamentally come from weakness and vulnerability. “Israel very clearly cannot fight its wars by itself. Facing just one adversary on one front, Israel required the active assistance of three Western nuclear powers and one regional Arab state (Jordan), to thwart the [recent] Iranian attack,” she said.If Israel is indeed reliant on foreign powers, then that raises the worrying question of increased Western involvement in the region and the war. Already, NATO nations launched Operation Prosperity Guardian – an attempt to secure Red Sea shipping lines from Ansar Allah attacks. This has largely failed, as Ansar Allah has held firm and managed to overcome incredible odds. “Yemen is the surprise of the Resistance Axis, and their unity of fronts,” Narwani said, adding:Who would have thought that war-torn Yemen, severely depleted, with shortages of food, energy, medicines and basic supplies, without access to their ports…that they would rise up and become the star of the Axis, by just having the absolute nerve to hit the Americans, the British, the Saudis, the Emiratis, the Israelis.”Narwani said that they have managed to do this because Yemenis do not read Western media and have, therefore, not been tamed into displaying “good behavior” toward the United States. Instead, they display an entirely different attitude.Support the Show.MintPress News is a fiercely independent. 15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all the good things have come upon you which the LORD your God promised you, so the LORD will bring upon you all harmful things, until He has destroyed you from this good land which the LORD your God has given you. 16 When you have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which He commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed down to them, then the anger of the LORD will burn against you, and you shall perish quickly from the good land which He has given you."   Again, let me thank you for your prayer for Luke. At this time, it appears that his surgery was successful and he has be upgraded to an regular pediatric room. It is a possibility that he could go home later today or tomorrow if he continues this good progress. Thanks again for all your prayers!     In Joshua 23-24, Joshua is giving his last words to the leaders and the nation of Israel. In verses 1-2, he calls them together either at Shiloh or at his home in Ephraim. In verses 3-4, Joshua reminds the people what the LORD did for Israel. In verses 5-9, he reminds them what the LORD said to Israel in the Book of the Law of Moses. In verse 10, Joshua quotes the promise that God gave to Israel through Moses in his last words to Israel before he died. This shows how well Joshua knew the Word of God. He meditated on God's Word day and night (Josh. 1:8; Ps. 1:2) and hid it in his heart (Ps. 119:11).   Now, in Joshua 23:11-16, Joshua reminds them what the LORD would do to Israel. The Word of God is like a two-edged sword (Heb. 4:12): If we obey it, God will bless and help us; if we disobey it, God will chasten us until we submit to Him. If we love the Lord (Josh. 23:11), we'll want to obey Him and please Him. It is so essential that we cultivate a satisfying relationship with God.   In verse 14, Joshua reminded the people that God's Word never fails, whether it's the Word of promise for blessing or the Word of promise for chastening. Both are evidences of His love, for "whom the Lord loveth He chastens" (Prov. 3:11-12; Heb. 12:6). Charles Spurgeon said, "God will not allow His children to sin successfully."   Moses had warned Israel against compromising with the evil nations in the land (Ex. 23:20-33; 34:10-17; Deut. 7:12-26), and Joshua reaffirmed that warning (Josh. 23:13). If Israel began to mingle with these nations, two things would happen: God would remove His blessing, and Israel would be defeated; and these nations would bring distress and defeat to Israel. Joshua used vivid words like snares, traps, scourges, and thorns to impress the Jews with the suffering they would experience if they disobeyed the Lord. The final stroke of chastening would be Israel's removal from their land to a land of exile. After all, if you want to live and worship like the Gentiles, then live with the Gentiles! This happened when God permitted Babylon to conquer Judah, destroy Jerusalem, and take thousands of the Jews into exile in Babylon.   Three times in this brief address Joshua called Canaan "this good land" (vv. 13,15-16). When God called Moses at the burning bush, He promised to take Israel into a "good land" (Ex. 3:8); and Joshua and Caleb described Canaan as "a good land" after forty days of investigation (Num. 14:7). In his farewell message Moses used the phrase "good land" at least ten times (Deut. 1:25, 35; 3:25; 4:21-22; 6:18; 8:7, 10; 9:6; 11:17).   The argument is obvious: Since God has given us such a good land, the least we can do is live to please Him.   God bless!

Pastor Marshall Ochs | July 21, 2024In this message, Pastor Marshall teaches from 1 Kings 5-6. These chapters cover the construction of Solomon's Temple. The story begins with Solomon cutting a covenant with Hiram of Tyre to secure cedar from Lebanon and ends with 7 years of construction. In the middle of the story, the Lord visits Solomon with a subtle reminder of heart devotion. If Israel is devoted to the Lord, the temple will be a blessing. If Israel is devoted to the temple, it will become a snare.

Last week, as Israel continued to prosecute its eliminationist war against Palestinians in Gaza, an eclectic group of right-wing bigwigs gathered in Washington, DC for the fourth iteration of the National Conservatism conference — convened by Yarom Hazony, an Israeli-born writer, activist, and former speechwriter for  Benjamin Netanyahu. As our guest, historian Suzanne Schneider, explains, Hazony aspires to export Israel's model of illiberal democracy and dispossession to the nations of the world. And if the embrace of NatCon by American conservatives is any indication, he is succeeding. Nations, for Hazony, derive their legitimacy not from the consent of the governed (which, for Israel, would include disenfranchised Palestinians in the West Bank) but from God, who designated the land of Israel as the home of the Jews. All nations are born of divine covenant, not consent; political community is based on unchosen and inherited obligations extending outward in concentric circles of coercion, from the nuclear family, to the clan, to the tribe, and so on. This slipshod political theology authorizes a world of sovereign, militarized ethno-states, intensely protective of patriarchal prerogatives, and with no obligation to international law, human rights, judicial interference, or constitutional guarantees for religious or racial minorities. If Israel is the God-given home of the Jews, why shouldn't America be the God-given home of white Christians? It's not difficult to perceive the appeal of this vision for NatCon's attendees, including Trumpist senators like Josh Hawley and Mike Lee, Catholic integralists like Gladdin Pappin and Chad Pecknold, racist nativists like Stephen Miller, or Viktor Orbán propagandists like John O'Sullivan. These figures may not all acknowledge or recognize their debt to Israeli Zionism, but they all look with admiration on the impunity with which Israel has treated its Arab subjects, seeing in Israel's contempt for liberal norms, universal rights, and human dignity an aspirational model for America and the globe.Further Reading:Suzanne Schneider, "Light Among the Nations," Jewish Currents, Sept 28, 2023— "How Israel's Illiberal Democracy Became a Model for the Right," Dissent, Spring 2024. — "Beyond Athens and Jerusalem," Strange Matters, Spring 2024.— "A Note on Means and Ends," Dr. Small Talk (Suzanne's Substack), Feb 4, 2024.Yoram Hazony, The Virtue of Nationalism (2018).— Conservatism: A Rediscovery (2022).Sarah Jones, "The Authoritarian Plot (Live from NatCon 4)," New York Magazine, Jul 14, 2024.Further Listening:KYE, The Rise of Illiberal Right, Jul 2019.KYE, Return of the National Conservatives, Nov 2021....and don't forget to subscribe to Know Your Enemy on Patreon to listen to all of our extensive catalogue of bonus episodes!

On Friday's Mark Levin Show, Mark offers advice to President Biden's campaign to fend off the Obama and Clinton operatives trying to oust him. They need to talk about democracy, but not in response to Trump. Biden needs to explain that he will defend the voters who voted for him in the primaries. He'll need to point out that over 14 million people voted in the Democrat primary in every state and that 99% of the delegates are committed to him, not any other Democrat. Biden needs to use the tactics he uses against Trump, against his own party, and the media. After 50 years of Biden's character assassinating good people, after 50 years of deceit - he knows how to do this. He just needs to aim it at the Democrats who are trying to topple him. Later, the NY Times, the Washington Post, and the rest of the media are all behind Kamala Harris for president should they succeed with their coup against Biden. The question for Democrat voters is, do you support a president in the 5th stage of dementia, or do you support an imbecile VP? Also, Biden, who has gaslighted the most horrendous Jew-hatred the U.S. has ever seen, was at NATO attacking Israel. Biden treats Israel like he treats Trump and MAGA. If Israel were to adopt Biden's policies it would cease to exist. Biden is holding 7 defense systems from Israel. Why? Because he doesn't want them to use it on Iran's nuclear site. Finally, Heritage President Kevin Roberts calls in to explain and discuss the lies about Project 2025. Learn more about your ad choices. By Mary Lindow through the Holy Spirit   JEREMIAH WAS KNOWN AS THE 'WEEPING PROPHET'.  Some say he was called at the age of 17.    He was called to reprove a crumbling nation. The Israelite nation.  Unfortunately for them they didn't listen to him. But during his day, people were so hardened by sin that they neither believed God nor feared him. They seem to find Jeremiah's constant warning of judgment overbearing and frankly, annoying.   IT'S THE SAME WITH US NOW.  Those that hear our warning find us obnoxious!  But as believers we are supposed to follow God's instructions to warn a lost and dying world of upcoming judgment. Even though most are not listening, we still have to persevere in courageously speaking truth in order to rescue some from the terrible judgment that will inevitably come. If we are so easily discouraged at fighting the rude behavior of our peers what are we going to do, when we are confronted by demons?    The LORD rebukes Jeremiah for his impatience in Jeremiah 12:5 saying,  “If you have raced with men on foot and they have tired you out, then how can you compete with horses? If you fall down in a land of peace [where you feel secure], Then how will you do among the lions in the flooded jungle thicket beside the Jordan?”   If we are distraught when we can't make a car payment, what will we do when we lose our job? If the footmen weary you what will the horses do?   If we are distressed at the terrorism going on overseas, what will we do when it's in our own neighborhoods? Because it already is! If the footmen weary you what will the horses do?   If we are overwhelmed with the work we have now, what will we do when a double or triple portion is required of us?  If the footmen weary you what will the horses do?   GOD IS REMINDING JEREMIAH (AND US) THAT THERE IS MUCH MORE TO BE CONCERNED ABOUT THAN WHAT WE'RE COMPLAINING ABOUT.   THERE IS SOMETHING AHEAD OF US IN THIS SEASON MY FRIENDS THAT ARE OF MORE CONCERN THAN PETTY GRIEVANCES AGAINST THOSE WHO SEEM TO BE BETTER OFF OR LIVE EASIER THAN WE DO.    God is telling Jeremiah “ If you are not able to encounter lesser dangers, how will you be able to overcome greater ones?”  Jesus said to us in John 16: 33, “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! Take Courage! I have overcome the world.”   IT'S NATURAL THAT OUR HARDEST DAYS AND MOST DIFFICULT TRIALS ARE AHEAD OF US, NOT BEHIND US. If you are worried and in great upset about these things, what are you going to do when you are forced to face extremely difficult trials and troubles that are most certainly just around the bend?   Matthew Henry said, “The faith even of strong believers may sometimes be sorely shaken and ready to fail them. There will be storms that will try the firmest anchors.” Now, Isn't that the truth?    JEREMIAH WAS CONSUMED WITH GRIEF ABOUT THE PROSPERITY OF THE WICKED in Anathoth when just in a short time He would be beaten in Jerusalem by order of the priest Pashhur (instead of worrying about the prosperity of heathens in Anathoth, he was about to be severely punished by a priest in Jerusalem).    Let's take a sneak peek of what is in store for Jeremiah: “He had Jeremiah the prophet beaten and put in the stocks at the Upper gate of Benjamin at the Lord's temple.” Jer. 20:2   GOD SAW THIS COMING WHEN JEREMIAH WAS CRYING ABOUT THE PROSPERITY OF THE WICKED!   If Jeremiah had known what was going to happen ahead of him, He wouldn't have wasted time complaining about the men of Ana Thoth. Jeremiah was concerned about something insignificant when something greater needed his attention.  And, His own family was secretly conspiring against him — they spoke well of him to his face but were trying to incite a mob against him behind his back. They seemed to be friendly but they were really his enemies.   God's Faithful Servants Shouldn't Think It Strange That Their Enemies Are In Their Own Family, Some Living Under Their Own Roof.   Jesus told us in Matthew 10:34-35  “For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. A man's enemies will be the members of his own household.”   SO FRIENDS, IF THE FOOTMEN WEARY YOU WHAT WILL THE HORSES DO?  I know I keep repeating the statement because it's what the Holy Spirit would have me consistently say so that you hear the challenge and that you are strengthened to stand up and be courageous, now!   GOD'S ANSWER TO JEREMIAH WAS TO BE ABSOLUTELY DETERMINED TO STAY SOLID AND IMMOVABLE IN HIS WALK WITH GOD, because there were bigger trials ahead of him that needed his attention. But God does let him know what will happen to Israel and her enemies. Although God punishes Israel by allowing her enemies to overtake the land, God would not let her enemies sacrilegiously use that land which belongs to Israel. Even their land is blessed! “But after I uproot them, I WILL AGAIN HAVE COMPASSION and will bring each of them back to his own inheritance and his own country.” (Jeremiah 12:15)   God will again deliver his people from their enemies by uprooting them just as he did when they were suffering in Egypt.    GOD SHOWS THAT EVEN HIS ENEMIES MAY RECEIVE COMPASSION AND GRACE. “And if they learn well the ways of my people and swear by my name, saying, 'As surely as the LORD lives' even as they once taught my people to swear by Baal – then they will be established among my people.” (V.16)   GOD'S EXPECTATION IS PLAIN.  If Israel's enemies would pay homage to God the way they did for Baal, (a dead and dumb idol) if they could humble themselves to follow the God of Israel instead of teaching Israel to follow idols they would be rewarded, but if not... “'But if any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it,' declares the LORD” (v. 17)   GOD'S CALL AND PLAN AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR US CAN BE SUMMED UP IN  I CORINTHIANS 16:13  “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”    OUR GREATEST DIFFICULTIES ARE AHEAD OF US, NOT BEHIND US. (If our troubles were always behind us, we would never grow as a Christian.)  We mustn't waste time complaining about petty things.  Quickly put on your helmet, take up your sword and shield, tighten your armor and get ready! Get ready to run with the horses!   God offers Jeremiah a beautifully wise word picture for him to consider.  He essentially asks Jeremiah, “If footmen weary you, what will the horses do?”    PAUL REFERRED TO LIFE AS A RACE.  Makes sense, after all, it has a beginning, middle, and a strong determination to finish strong. It requires endurance, patience, devotion and a resolution to finish strong. At the end of his life Paul said, “I have finished the race.” And referring to Jeremiah's race God is saying: If running with others on foot, when everything is equal, what are you going to do when they are given horses?   In this verse the prophet Jeremiah has been complaining about his persecutors. God Divinely answers, and warns Jeremiah about his impatience, and then tells him that harder trials are in store for him.  What? More distressing times?    We all have had the experience of how in our lives, there are long stretches of uneventful days, and then, generally without warning, some crisis is sprung on us, which demands quite a different set of gifts to cope with it. Our monsoons in Colorado generally come without any warning from a falling barometer.   WE CAN AT ANY MOMENT BE CONFRONTED WITH SOME HARD DUTY, WHICH WILL EXHAUST OUR ENERGY.   We may at any moment be plunged in some huge calamity and the quiet course of our lives for years suddenly is interrupted with fierce storms and devastating fallout.    WE WON'T ALWAYS HAVE THE EASY FOOT RACE WITH FOOTMEN.  There will some times come a call to strain our muscles to keep up with the gallop of the cavalry. We will have to struggle to keep our feet in the rising waters of difficultly, and must not expect to have a continual leisurely life in ‘a land of peace.'   With the power of Jesus in our spirits we shall never have to attempt  a duty that we are not first strengthened by Him to take on.  And we never have to face a danger in which He won't defend us.    With His life in us we will be ready for the long hours of uneventful, unexciting duties, and for the short spurts that make precise calls on each of us to respond to. We ‘WILL run and not be weary; we will walk and not faint.'    As I finish this podcast I'd like to share what Oswald Chambers said about patience during the time of great difficulty and when the world is filled with uprising.  It is so powerful and quite comforting.   THE DUTY OF PATIENCE – by Oswald Chambers "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth" (Rev. 3:10). Jesus says we are to keep the word of His patience. There are so many things in this life that it seems much better to be impatient about.  The best picture to explain this is that of an archer:  He pulls the bowstring further and further away from his bow with the arrow solidly fixed in its slot, then, when it is adjusted, with his eye on the target he lets it fly.  The Christian's life is like that. God is the archer.  He takes the saint like a bow which He stretches, and we get to a certain point and say,” I can't stand any more, I can't stand this test of patience any longer," but God goes on stretching.  He is not aiming at OUR TARGET mark, but at His own, and the patience of the saints is that we hold on until He lets the arrow fly straight to His goal."    Are you ready for a time of strengthening to come into your life?  The Lord promises that a dramatic transformation will take place in us when we abandon our agenda and open ourselves to His plan for us.    We can see this so clearly in the life of Saul before he had become the Apostle Paul.  Saul had been intent upon his own evil strategy to persecute Christians. Then came his life-changing encounter with Jesus, when he asked the most important question of all in Acts 9:6:  “Lord, what do YOU want me to do?”   FRIEND! ARE YOU READY TO ASK THE LORD THAT SAME QUESTION?  Are you ready to give up your own fruitless designs in return for God's better plan?   LET'S PRAY THAT TOGETHER NOW. Lord Jesus, I have been moving forward persistently with my own thoughts and plans. I have been intent upon seeing those accomplished. Now I see that despite my good intentions, my plans may not be in line with Yours. Right now, I humble myself before You.  I take this moment to ask, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”  In Your presence, I place my agenda on the shelf, and I open my heart and my hands to Your plans and purposes. I belong to You, Lord. Please forgive me for any stubbornness that may have captivated me.  I pull down that stronghold right now—any thought that needs to be taken captive to the obedience of Christ.  I place my future in Your hands, Lord Jesus.  Have Your way—and only Your way—in my life. Psalm 129 addresses 2 groups of people: Israel and those who hate Zion. What of those who stand in the way of ascent? What should the nation do If Israel's enemies assail the peace and livelihood of the land thereby disrupting temple worship? Ps 129 acknowledges the weakness and hardship the nation has endured and lifts a rallying cry of worship inspired by the power and authority of a righteous God to judge His enemies as the hope for His people's endurance. The faith of God's people is strengthened by this worship song and the bigger picture of God's purposes and providence in the story of His people. This is true of Old Testament Israel and the New Testament church. Spurgeon writes: "Persecution is the heirloom of the church.of God and the ensign of the elect ... " he continues ... "The earliest years of Israel and the church of God were spent in trial.. Babes in grace are cradled in opposition. No sooner is the man-child born than the dragon is after it. It is, however, "good tor a man that he bear the yoke of his youth", and he shall see it to be so when in after days he tells the tale.

A Sermon for the First Sunday after Trinity St. Luke 16:19-31 & 1 St. John 4:7-21 by William Klock The crowd was settling down after that first frenzied crush when Jesus had come to town.  The sick had been healed.  The tears had been wiped away.  In Jesus the people had had a taste, they'd seen a pocket of what the world is supposed to be, of the world set to rights.  They'd had a glimpse of God's kingdom.  Now it was time to listen as Jesus spoke.  There were all sorts of people there.  People from town, people from the countryside, regular people, poor people—even some Pharisees looking down on the town square from the rooftop of the richest man in town.  And Jesus began: “There was once a rich man.  He was dressed in purple and fine linen, and feasted sumptuously every day.”   Jesus was smiling at some little kids sitting in front of him as he said this, but everyone else looked at the Pharisees up on their rooftop perch.  They were rich.  They weren't feast-every-day rich or even dressed-in-purple rich.  Very few people were.  But they did wear fine clothes and only rich people could afford to live like the Pharisees with all their scruples and rules and everyday things.  Jesus continued:   “A poor man named Lazarus, who was covered with sores, lay outside his gate.  He longed to feed himself with the scraps that fell from the rich man's table.  Even the dogs came and licked his sores.”   Jesus paints a picture of extremes.  First there's the rich man.  Super rich.  Ostentatiously rich.  Only kings could afford to wear purple and feast every day.  And in stark contrast there's Lazarus.  He's destitute.  He's covered in sores, which means he's almost certainly unclean.  He's probably lame.  At some point he had either dragged himself to what he thought would be a prime spot for begging or someone else had deposited him there, at the gate of the richest man in town.  And the rich man and his friends would come and go.  He would hear the music and laughter from the other side of the wall.  He could smell the meat roasting.  He would have been happy with the bread the rich people used to wipe their hands.  But there was nothing for poor Lazarus.  And to make his life worse, as he lay there helpless, the feral dogs of the town would come to lick his oozing sores and leave him stinging. Jesus puts a new spin on an old story the rabbis told.  There was a story—it's been preserved in the Talmud—that originated in Egypt and was brought back to Judah by Alexandrian Jews.  It was a story about a rich tax collector and a poor torah scholar.  They both died and everyone attended the rich man's funeral and no one could be bothered to show up the funeral of the poor man.  But a few days later, a friend of the poor man had a dream of paradise, and there in the middle of paradise was the poor torah scholar enjoying everything he'd sacrificed in life for the sake of God's law.  And not far away was the rich man, parched and in torment, struggling to reach the stream, but forever held back.  When the story was told that way, everyone had sympathy for the poor torah scholar and hated the rich tax collector.  But Jesus changes it up a bit.  The rich man is just a rich man—maybe even a Pharisee.  And the poor man's just a poor a man.  And when it's told that way, given the thinking of the day, most people would have had their sympathies reverse.  Riches—so long as they weren't gained from collecting taxes for the Romans—riches were a sign of God's favour.  And the poor man?  Well, think of the disciples' question to Jesus about the blind man.  “Who sinned?  This man or his parents?”  A lot of people would have chalked up the poor man's state to his sins.  He was out of favour with God and deserved his miserable lot in life. There's another interesting change Jesus makes.  In the usual version of the story, it's the rich man who has a name.  As he tells the story his way, Jesus gives a name to the poor man instead: Lazarus.  Lazarus means “God helps”, but more importantly, it's a rabbinic form of the name Eliezer.  I suspect that Jesus was making a deliberate connection with Abraham's servant, Eliezer of Damascus.  If we go back to Genesis 15 we read how Abraham lamented to the Lord that he was childless and that his only heir was Eliezer of Damascus.  In response, the Lord promised that he and Sarah would have a son.  When Isaac was born he displaced Eliezer, a gentile and an outsider, as Abraham's inheritor.  In Jesus' parable, the rich man is one of Abraham's sons.  Again, the Pharisees would have seen his riches as a sign of his election and a sign of God's blessing on him.  Lazarus, even though he was a Jew, was unclean because of his diseases and his poverty would have been seen as a sign of God's disfavour.  He was an outsider, like Eliezer of Damascus, and undeserving of Abraham's inheritance. And yet look at what happens: “In due course the poor man died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried.  As he was being tormented in Hades, he looked up and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.” (Luke 16:22-23) Both men die.  Jesus simply says that the rich man was buried, but that simple statement unpacks into elaborate funeral rites and ceremonies and all the feasting we'd expect to take place when a rich man died in an ancient culture.  Proper burial was extremely important for the Jews and this man got not only a proper burial, but it came with all the pomp and circumstance that his wealth would have demanded.  In contrast, Jesus simply says that Lazarus died and we wonder if anyone even noticed.  There was no burial for Lazarus.  His body could very well have been dragged away by the dogs while the rich man's servants assumed he'd found a better spot to beg. And yet Jesus says that even without recognition or proper burial, poor Lazarus was collected by the angels themselves and taken to Abraham's “side” or Abraham's “bosom”.  The Jews described the Messianic age to come as one in which God's people would feast and banquet in the kingdom along with Abraham.  Lazarus was probably as surprised as anyone, not only to be carried by the angels into that great banquet, but to be seated at the table right next to Abraham, in the place of highest honour.  That was the place reserved for someone like the rich man—not the place for a poor, sick, unclean beggar.  And yet there he was. Again, with stark contrast, Jesus describes the situation of the rich man.  Despite his high status in life, he wakes to find himself being tormented in the afterlife.  And not just tormented.  Where Lazarus finds himself feasting at Abraham's side, the rich man finds himself on the far side of a great gulf that separates him from that banquet and from Abraham.  The tables have been turned.  In life the rich man feasted and a great social gulf kept Lazarus away and starving. Now it needs to be emphasised that Jesus' parable is not meant to give us teaching about the afterlife.  A lot of theologians, down through the ages, have gone to this parable assuming that Jesus' point was to teach us about the intermediate state or about heaven and hell.  That shows the danger of pulling portions of Scripture out of context.  Jesus was using a well-known folk tale to make a point.  We tell jokes and stories, for example, about people being met at the pearly gates by St. Peter with his list.  St. Peter and his list are never the point of those stories.  We don't believe that this is what actually happens when we die—it's a popular folk tale in our culture.  The point is what happens to the people in the story or joke when they get there.  Jesus is telling a story like that here.  He's using the elements of a common folk tale, not to teach about the afterlife, but to rebuke the Pharisees for their love of money and for their failure to truly live out the law and the prophets—to truly live as Abraham's heirs.  As the Lord had been generous to Israel with his grace and his provision, the people of Israel should have been generous with their grace and provisions with each other—and especially with people like Lazarus.  They were supposed to be a pocket of God's future in the present, showing the nations the generous love of God. And so here are these two men with their roles completely reversed in death.  And yet the rich man still doesn't get it.  He sees Lazarus seated at the table with Abraham and he calls out in verse 24: “‘Father Abraham!  Have mercy on me!  Send Lazarus to dip the end of his finger in water and cool my tongue!  I'm in agony in this fire!'”   The rich man calls out to “Father Abraham”.  His entire life he had deceived himself into thinking that Abraham was his father simply because he was one of Abraham's biological descendants.  Like the Pharisees, he was convinced that his genetics, his circumcision, his diet, his sabbath observance, his separation from gentiles and from all things unclean, and all his sacrifices and offerings made at the temple guaranteed him a seat at the great banquet.  And yet he feasted away his days while poor Lazarus starved at his gate.  We should be reminded again of the Lord's rebuke through the prophet Hosea: For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice,          the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. (Hosea 6:6) Or as Jesus puts it in Matthew 9:13, “I desire mercy, and not sacrifice.” The rich man doesn't grasp Lazarus' position either.  Not only is he still calling out to Abraham as if he has a claim on Abraham, but he calls out to Abraham to send Lazarus to him with some water.  He sees Lazarus at Abraham's side and misreads the situation.  It never occurs to him that Lazarus is there to be honoured.  He thinks that Lazarus is there as Abraham's servant: a waterboy in hades.  Abraham has to explain the situation to him.  Look at verses 25-26: “My child, remember that you in your life you received good things, and in the same way Lazarus received bad things.  Now he is comforted here, and you are tormented.  Besides that, there is a great chasm standing between us.  People who want to cross over from here to you can't do so, nor can anyone get across from the far side to us.”   Jesus is still following the folk tale at this point.  Abraham puts the rich man in his place.  Lazarus wasn't taken by the angels to be Abraham's servant—or the rich man's for that matter.  And the rich man hasn't landed in a place of torment by mistake.  The rich man realises that the way he lived his life was wrong—he'd made assumptions about his status with Abraham and with the Lord, but his assumptions were wrong.  Again, Jesus' point isn't to teach us the geography of the afterlife.  He's warning the Pharisees—and through them he's warning all of Israel—that the role reversal that happened in this folk story could very well happen to them and that they'd better watch out.  The kingdom was at hand, judgement was coming soon, and they had little time left to repent. Now, in the last verses of the chapter, Jesus changes the story.  The way people were used to hearing it, the rich man realised the error of his ways and asked for warnings to be sent to his brothers lest they suffer the same fate—and the Lord or Abraham obliged.  As Jesus tells the story, just the opposite happens.  The warnings have already been sent.  Look at verses 27-31: “‘Please, then, Father,' the rich man said, ‘send him to my father's house.  I have five brothers.  Let Lazarus warn them, so that they don't come into this place of torment.'  But Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets.  Let them hear them.'  And he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone went to them from the dead, they would repent.'  ‘And if they do not hear Moses and the Prophets,' came the reply, ‘neither would they be convinced, even if someone rose from the dead.'”   Look at Abraham's response again: “If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, “neither would they be convinced, even if someone rose from the dead.”  With the coming of Jesus, the kingdom of God was breaking into the world.  God sent Jesus to lead his people out of their long exile.  He sent his Son to conquer sin and death and to lead his people out of their bondage to both.  And so with every sickness healed, with every demon cast out, with every sin forgiven Jesus was showing that the kingdom had come, that God's new future was beginning.  This is why tax collectors and sinners were celebrating.  Jesus was setting them free.  Imagine the joy of Lazarus as he was carried by the angels to feast at Abraham's side.  This is the reality that Jesus was making known to the poor and the outcast and to sinners. And yet the Pharisees grumbled every time they saw Jesus doing these things.  The men who were sons of Abraham and who spent their lives in devotion to God's law, they couldn't accept what Jesus was doing.  He was inviting all the wrong people to the banquet!  And so Jesus is rebuking them; he's calling them to repentance just as he called the tax collectors and sinners to repent.  And here he warns them: They're like the rich man who refused poor Lazarus even the bread thrown under his table.  They've been entrusted with the light, but they refuse to share it with those living in darkness.  They've been entrusted with the law and the prophets—God's Word and the means of redemption for the nations—but they'd rather keep it to themselves and see the nations, the poor, the unclean tormented in hades.  And at the end of the day, it's just that attitude towards the poor and towards sinners and towards all those on the outside—it's their refusal to celebrate as Jesus heals and forgives and makes new—that reveals that while they have the law and the prophets, they've never truly understood them and they've never truly lived them.  They're supposed to be little pockets of God's future in the present, but instead they've been little pockets of darkness.  And because of that, they may be surprised to find themselves, just like the rich man, on the receiving end of God's judgement.  If they don't repent and recognise that in Jesus the kingdom has come, they will have forfeited their inheritance and it will be given to others.  They will have no share in the kingdom. This is where Jesus' choice of the name Lazarus or Eliezer comes back into the story.  When Isaac was born, the gentile Eliezer lost his inheritance.  The Pharisees—and the rest of Israel—are the nation born of Isaac.  They are the inheritors of God's promises to Abraham.  But with those covenant promises come covenant obligations—not just circumcision, avoiding unclean food, and sacrifices at the temple, but a seeking after justice and mercy and truly living out the lovingkindness of God in the world.  If Israel refuses to fulfil those obligations and if she refuses to acknowledge that in Jesus they are being fulfilled, she will lose those covenant promises—she will lose her inheritance and it will be given to others, to outsiders grafted into Jesus who is the true Israel and the one truly faithful son of Abraham. This has been the message of Luke's gospel from the beginning, when Mary sang out: He hath put down the mighty from their seat,          and hath exalted the humble and meek; He hath filled the hungry with good things,          and the rich he hath sent away empty. (Luke 1:52-53) This was the message that John the Baptist was preaching back in Chapter 3: “You'd better prove your repentance by bearing the proper fruit!  Don't start saying to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father'; let me tell you, God can raise up children for Abraham from these stones!  The axe is already standing by the roots of the tree—so every tree that doesn't produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” (Luke 3:8-9).  This was the warning that Jesus gave when he told the people to strive to enter through the narrow door before it's shut, before it's too late: “He will say to you, ‘I do not know where you people are from.  Be off with you, you wicked lot.'  That's where you'll find weeping and gnashing of teeth: when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in God's kingdom, and you yourselves will be thrown out.  People will come from east and west, from north and south, and sit down to feast in God's kingdom.” (Luke 13:27-29). The rich man and his brothers, just like the Pharisees and just like unfaithful Israel, all had the law and the prophets.  They didn't need any more witnesses.  Jesus' rebuke that even if someone should be raised from the dead they still wouldn't believe is a prophetic look ahead at Israel's fate.  They refused to listen to the law and the prophets.  Jesus came to renew Israel, and she refused to hear him and continued to refuse even when he rose from the dead.  And so others are being grafted in: unclean people, sinners, and gentiles are being grafted in and through Jesus are being given the inheritance that Israel has forfeited. What does this mean for us?  Brothers and sisters, we have Moses and the prophets, but more importantly we have Jesus and the Spirit, too.  We've been renewed.  The Spirit has given to us the one thing that the old Israel lacked: he's inscribed God's law on our hearts.  He's made it a part of us.  He's made it such a part of us that St. John can say in our Epistle today: Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God, and all who love are born of God and know God.  The one who does not love has not known God, because God is love….If we love one another, God abides in us and his love is completed in us.  That is how we know that we abide in him, and he in us, because he has given us a portion of his Spirit.” (1 John 4:7-8, 12-13) Maybe this is why the Spirit appeared as tongues of fire on the heads of the disciples at Pentecost.  They became light in the Spirit—very visible those little walking pockets of God's light-filled future, God's new creation, pulled into the present for the sake of the world.  That's the day when, through his Spirit, God made his people to truly be what he'd intended them to be all along. Brothers and Sisters, it was easy for the Pharisees to take their convent status for granted.  It should not be so for us.  They were the natural sons of Abraham, but we are the dead wood that was grafted into the living vine—by the Spirit, into Jesus.  We're the ones who have received an inheritance that was not naturally ours.  The Table we come to this morning, the bread we eat and the wine we drink, remind us of the amazing grace and generosity of God towards us.  In so many ways and for so many reasons, we do not deserve his invitation to this Table, but he has been gracious and merciful to us.  He's given his own Son to die so that we can be a part of this family.  May we never take his grace or our position before him or his Table for granted.  May we, redeemed by his blood and filled with his Spirit, embody his love for the sake of the world.  May we always be faithful and living witnesses of God's new creation—light in midst of darkness, love in the midst of hate; hope in the midst of fear. Let's pray: O God, the strength of all who put their trust in you: Mercifully accept our prayers; and because in our weakness we can do nothing good without you, give us the help of your grace, that in keeping your commandments we may please you both in will and deed; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.

Do most Palestinians want their own state in the West Bank and Gaza, one that co-exists with the state of Israel? Is the conflict between Israel and Palestinians primarily about territory and the solution therefore simply to trade territory for peace? For many years, as an advisor to Israel's top leaders and member of its parliament, Einat Wilf thought so. Then she started to listen deeply to what Palestinians were saying, and what she heard stunned her. What Palestinians wanted was a land to themselves so they could return to the homes their families once occupied in Israel proper. What they didn't want was a Jewish state. This discovery, coupled with extensive research into the century-long history, left Einat with a dramatically different view of the conflict. Deuteronomy 11 - 1:01 . Deuteronomy 12 - 7:33 . Deuteronomy 13 - 14:39 . Psalm 63 - 18:44 . Therefore sin and idolatry could not be tolerated among those who were a part of Israel. :::Christian Standard Bible translation. All music written and produced by John Burgess Ross.Co-produced by the Christian Standard Bible.facebook.com/commuterbibleinstagram.com/commuter_bibletwitter.com/CommuterPodpatreon.com/commuterbibleadmin@commuterbible.org

The Iranian Embassy proper was damaged in the strike, and further investigation of the strike location indicates the building was an annex of the official Embassy and located within the confines of the Embassy compound (and thus within the area of Iranian diplomatic protection). Three Iranian generals were killed in the strike, along with a few staff officers.Taiwan: Several earthquakes struck the island Monday night, causing widespread damage. A metal trailer filled with Holy Bibles was set on fire outside the front entrance of the church. Local authorities confirm the incident was intentional and no arrests have been made, despite security footage capturing the license plate of the vehicle that dropped off the trailer.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Regarding the Iranian Embassy strike, confusion continues as to mere centimeters of ground regarding the exact survey points of a compound in Damascus. However, as with nearly all Israeli airstrikes, what is absolutely clear is that the strike was conducted within the bounds of what is normally considered in the kinetic targeting community to be a CAT 1 No-Strike Entity (NSE). Additionally, the Collateral Damage Estimation (CDE) analysis of the potential Civilian Casualties (CIVCAS) caused by the chosen munitions without question confirm that, had it been carried out under U.S. regulations set forth in U.S. military law (and in Joint Publication 3-60), this strike would have been illegal. In any case, the diplomatic implications are quite severe, regardless of a few centimeters difference of diplomatic soil. If Israel had struck these generals as they stood on the sidewalk in front of the Embassy compound, the diplomatic impact would be virtually the same; worsening relations among two nations who already suffer from intense rivalry and vastly competing interests.Analyst: S2A1//END REPORT//

Psalm 3 (part 2): The Battle belongs to the Lord (Psalm 3:6-8)

In part 1, we saw that David wrote this Psalm in his prayer time after he woke up (v5) on the morning of the battle against his son Absalom's large army (2Samuel 18). The previous evening he had prayed through to an assurance of victory. This prayer is recorded in Psalm 4. As a result he could sleep sweetly knowing that God would keep him safe (4:8, 3:5). Whatever battles we face in life, the main battle is in prayer, to get into God's presence, and let him fill our hearts with His peace, faith, strength, light and wisdom, which casts out all fear and darkness. As a result, he was able to declare in the morning, as he looked at Absalom's great army: "I will NOT be AFRAID of ten thousands of people who have SET themselves against ME all around" (v6). Notice what is unusual about this battle, which fits 2Samuel 18, is that all these enemy forces were not interested in fighting David's army, for they were only interested in killing one man, David, so that Absalom could establish himself on the throne. David was not exaggerating the size of Absalom's army, for 20,000 of them died in the battle (2Samuel 18:7), so that the army was about 100,000 strong. With so many focused on destroying David, he had grounds for fear, but strengthened in God, he refused to fear. Then David utters the battle cry as they go forth into battle: "Arise, O Lord; Save me, O my God!" (v7). This is an appeal to God to arise and go ahead of them to lead them in battle, protecting them and giving them the victory. This recalls the words of Moses in Numbers 10:35: "So it was, whenever the Ark set out, that Moses said: “Rise up, O Lord! Let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You.” The next phrase in v7 is probably best seen as a prayer, as in the NIV: "Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked." See also Psalm 58:6: "Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; Lord, tear out the fangs of those lions!" This speaks of the total domination, defeat and humiliation of the enemy, so that this rebellion would be broken once and for all, rather than simmering on indefinitely. This is what was done to wild beasts, so that they would no longer be a danger. Their jaw and teeth represents their ability to devour and destroy, so to break them is to destroy the power of the enemy, who in their rebellion against the Lord's anointed, David, were acting like wild beasts. David was not praying for their death (he even did not want their leader Absalom to die), but for a decisive victory that would end this rebellion and reestablish David on his throne. David knew that only God could do this, for it was against all odds. If it was a declaration (as in the NKJV) rather than a prayer, then David was saying: "Lord, You've done it before, and I believe You will do it again! David then gives God all the glory for the victory: "Salvation (deliverance) belongs to the Lord" (v8a, Jonah 2:9), for the battle belongs to the Lord, and he concludes by declaring: "Your blessing is upon Your people (Israel)" (v8b). This shows that David was not just concerned for himself, but for Israel. This battle was not just over David's future, but the future of Israel. He knew that God's blessing (presence) is connected to His will, and that God had anointed David as king and made an everlasting covenant with him, that God would preserve his House and that his sons would reign after him, until finally his ultimate son, the Messiah, would reign forever on the Throne of David (2Samuel 7, 1Chronicles 17). David knew that for God's will and blessing to prevail for Israel, this rebellion must be defeated, and David reinstated as God's rightful king of Israel, and so victory in this battle was necessary for God's people to live in His blessing. (If Israel came under the wicked and godless Absalom, the nation would come under a curse). Thus, when David closed the Psalm by saying: "Your blessing is upon Your people", he was making a confident prophetic declaration that God's mercy, grace and blessing was upon Israel and would continue, which meant that God's will would prevail, through God giving David the victory, and establishing him as His chosen anointed king over Israel. This came to pass, because after the victory and Absalom's death, the survivors of the battle and the rest of the nation saw that God was with David, and so repented of their rebellion, and acknowledged David as their rightful king. Thus Israel came back under Divine order and blessing under David, their king.

For years, in driving around the Bay Area it's been common to spot pink billboards from a company called JewBelong, with pro-Jewish statements ranging from “Jewish Mothers: The original Yelp” to “All jews welcome. Refreshments and guilt to follow”. More recently, those billboards have become a strange and sinister zionist platform, recently printing statements like “Hamas is your problem too” or “keep calling me a zionist – nothing makes me prouder”. JewBelong posted on its instagram a particularly inflammatory image, saying, “Trust me. If Israel wanted to commit genocide in Gaza, it could.” Joining us today, to give us some background about JewBelong, is Michael Schirtzer, LA-based co-host of the Palestine Pod podcast, as well as an actor and comedian who has written for NBC Sports, The Young Turks, and our Pacifica sister station in LA – KPFK. On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, the new precedent being set by Democrats is if you cannot indict a sitting president, you can wait in the shadows and indict them once they are out of office, which would be a disastrous consequence. The President is the head of the Executive branch and can theoretically tell anybody in any department what to do because they are unelected appointees. A hypothetical example brought up in court today to target Donald Trump was about what if the president used Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political rival, and it shows how extreme these courts and prosecutors have become. We have a DOJ, FBI, and Democrat media that allows this and acts like nothing is going on while Biden suggests Trump is Hitler and his supporters are brownshirts. Also, there is only one way to bring the Hamas hostage issue to an end in Gaza, and that is for Israel to take hostages too for them to make a swap. Hamas only takes hostages in order to get money from the Biden administration and to get their own terrorists back. If Israel wants to lose a war, lose more of its people, and suffer another attack like October 7, then they should listen to Biden and Blinken because that is what their resolution would lead to. Later, the people of Iowa should not be fooled by Nikki Haley and her nonstop campaign ads trashing Ron DeSantis. The plan of the ruling class Republicans and Mitch McConnell types is for her to come in second so she can try and beat Trump in New Hampshire. The GOP Establishment wants to get rid of the Reaganites which is why Haley is backed by organizations that we have been fighting for years. Learn more about your ad choices. SPECIAL GUEST Brother Andre Marie Host of the ReConquest aired only on the Crusade Channel. Follow Brother on GAB and Twitter - @Brother_Andre HEADLINE: Saint Nicholas of Bari (350) by The Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary  The great Saint Nicholas, whom everybody knows and speaks of, was an Archbishop at Myra in Asia Minor.  He has come to be honored as the patron saint of children.  His relics were taken by the Italians to Italy in 1087, and are now honored there, at Bari.  Saint Nicholas raised three children from the dead.  His name has been corrupted from Saint Nicholas into “Santa Claus.”  The true Saint Nicholas is the one who honors those who love and venerate him as a saint, not as an advertisement.  Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of Russia. HEADLINE: Why I Love St. Nicholas by Charles A Coulombe  But one day, the very man who had made Santa live in our home took it upon himself to end my faith in him. Dad explained to me that although he himself was responsible for the actual delivery of gifts, and the North Pole was empty of everything but Polar Bears, Santa made up in symbolic value what he and his cohorts lacked in objective reality. Moreover, he was a sort of image of a very real person, St. Nicholas. Dad then proceeded to pull out from his bookshelf the December 1960 American Heritage and opened it to an article — “A Certain Nicholas of Patara.” Thanks to my father, I shed my belief in Santa and gained instead a love of St. Nicholas.  On a happier note, however, St. Nicholas will always be Christ's second in the matter of Christmas celebration. Alongside his Divine Master, he reminds us that the gifts, the lights, the ornaments, the tree, the holly and the mistletoe, and the Christmas dinner are pointers, not ends in themselves, as we moderns tend to make them. But if we use them rightly, in the true spirit of St. Nicholas, they will bring us not merely to the sentimental joys of this Christmas, and the next, and the next — but to the Eternal Happiness of that Christmas which never ends, but always is. St Nicholas and Father Christmas are not the same person. HEADLINE: The Politics of Christmas by Charles Coulombe   The oldest Cathedral - Saint Nicholas - Calvinist cathedral dedicated. In this country it was illegal to have Christmas! The personification of these became known as “Father Christmas,” who was seen as a political ally in the struggle — and who in time became the major gift giver for children. In sharp contrast to the New England Puritans, their Dutch brethren in what became New York retained Christmas, and most especially the figure of St. Nicholas, who then and now was the gift distributer of Yule in the Netherlands and the rest of Central Europe. He, of course, in turn became our Santa Claus, who has since turned Father Christmas into a sort of clone, despite their wildly different origins. All of that nonsense that Christmas came from Pagan origins - all of that has been debunked. HEADLINE: In Defense of Christmas by Brother Andre Marie The Ox and the Ass know their Maker but Israel knows not its God. If Israel is unworthy he will come in on an Ass or Donkey. He was a Gentile not a Jew. "The ox knows its owner,  and the ass its master's crib;  but Israel does not know,  my people does not understand.”  Isaiah 1:3 ReConquest Episode 400: Don't Call It ‘the Tridentine Mass'!

On Tuesday's Mark Levin Show, the House of Representatives education committee had a crucially important hearing and press briefing about the physical threats against Jewish students on college campuses. The Democrat-controlled Senate didn't bother having any hearings on this. These students talked about traveling from their dorm room to class in great fear. Fox News was the only cable channel to cover what these students were saying live. We are plagued with a poisonous Israel-hating, in many respects Jew-hating, Hamas-loving media. Throughout the 1930's, many professors at colleges like Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania supported Hitler. In the middle of the Holocaust many colleges were promoting antisemitism and many colleges got money from German authorities. Also, CNN's Jake Tapper tried to bully an Israeli spokesman. Tapper's self-righteous moral outrage does not extend to all the countries around the world, particularly in the Middle East, where civilians are being intentionally targeted for slaughter — from Syria and Iran to Yemen and beyond. Tapper claimed that Israel is “raining bombs” down on Gaza. No, it is not. If Israel wanted to ‘rain bombs' down on Gaza it would not be sending tens of thousands of its young men and women into Gaza, the IDF infantry, to fight street by street, house by house, room by room, thereby increasing Israeli casualties as it seeks to limit civilian casualties. Name another country on the face of the earth that would show such restraint after its girls were gang raped and executed, after its babies were decapitated after over 100 of its citizens were taken hostage. Tapper is pushing a narrative and projecting his own bigotry. Later, tens of thousands of Ukrainians died at the hands of Russia. Ukraine needed heavy equipment early in the war, not Biden's restrictions. Ukraine may fall to Russia and Russia won't stop there. Putin has said he will hit Poland and Romania. Finally, Seamus Bruner calls in to discuss his new book: Controligarchs: Exposing the Billionaire Class, their Secret Deals, and the Globalist Plot to Dominate Your Life. CASUALTIES MOUNT ON ALL SIDES.-----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Middle East Front: Israel continues to take casualties in their advance on Gaza City as Information Operations from both sides obfuscate the situation on the ground. Demonstrations throughout Israel intensify as Israelis protest in opposition to the invasion of Gaza. So far, most counter-government protests have been swiftly put down by authorities. In the South, Israeli forces have engaged in a western advance to the sea, and are expected to reach the beach by tomorrow. This maneuver will result in the isolation of Gaza City into a northern pocket, and allow a south-north advance from central Gaza into Gaza City. AC: This will also effectively cut off any evacuation south for the millions of Palestinians who have not been able to leave Gaza City. It is not clear as to if Israel will allow fleeing civilians through their lines to the south, but this is unlikely for now as the situation remains highly dynamic.Western Asia: Pakistan begins the process of deporting hundreds of thousands of Afghan refugees who fled the country following the Taliban takeover two years ago. Last month, Pakistan announced that by Nov 1, all undocumented persons within the country would be deported. An estimated 1.7 million Afghan refugees currently reside in Pakistan and are facing deportation.-Analyst Comments-Israeli forces themselves have claimed “heavy casualties”, but it is not clear as to what Israel considers to be heavy casualties. Though statistics are impossible to verify, the IDF has publicly declared 16 casualties since the invasion of Gaza began. By contrast, roughly 10,000 Palestinian casualties have been reported since the start of this conflict. Note that Palestinian civilian casualties are difficult to discern from Hamas casualties. However, since militants are seeking refuge in long-established tunnels deep underground, the overwhelming majority of casualties in Gaza so far have been civilians.Rumors are circulating on social media alleging Iran's direct involvement in the Israeli War is to begin soon. So far, there are few indications that Iran's actions are anything more than saber-rattling responses to Israel's actions in Gaza. Most Arab States are preparing for this conflict to escalate, but all of this hinges on Israel's actions in Gaza. If Israel continues to strike civilian centers, the excuse of Hamas using “human shields” is not an argument that is going to cut it with most of the world. As such, high-profile airstrikes resulting in substantial CIVCAS are likely to warrant a response from Middle Eastern nations that so far, have been biding their time.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst: S2AEND REPORTNNNN

“Two things are true: Israel must do something, and what it's doing now is indefensible.” So writes Zack Beauchamp, a senior correspondent at Vox.Almost a month has passed since Hamas fighters slaughtered over 1,400 people in Israel and the state mounted its furious response. For weeks, Israel has laid siege to Gaza, cutting off water and electricity to the tiny strip of land and carrying out airstrikes that have reportedly killed over 8,000 Palestinians. On Friday a ground invasion began, and the response across much of the globe has been horror. If Israel continues down this road, the cost in Palestinian lives, and in support for Israel, will be immense. The question that hangs over the criticism is this: What, then, should Israel do? What would be a moral response to Hamas's savagery and to the very real need Israelis have for security?Beauchamp, who has covered Israel extensively in recent years, set out to answer that question. He spoke with counterterrorism experts, military historians, experts on Hamas, ethicists and more. I found his piece “What Israel Should Do Now” one of the best I've read since Oct. 7. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is the Heinrich Himmler of the Islamonazi regime in Tehran and should not be allowed into the United Nations, and he is now directly threatening America on American soil. This regime and their surrogates have slaughtered Americans and taken more hostage, and there has been no response from the Biden administration. Barack Obama, Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, and Robert Malley decided that every previous president had foreign policy all wrong and that America was too strong and imperialistic, which has led to the disastrous foreign policy we have under President Biden. We cannot build up terrorist regimes that have killed their own people, killed Americans, and killed anyone who disagrees with them, and put them on the same level as civilized societies. If Israel goes into Gaza and blows Hamas off the face of the Earth, Biden would be against it because it would disrupt the powers in the Middle East. This is the kind of foreign policy that will lead to World War 3. Mark speaks with Sen. Tim Scott about anti-Semitism and anti-American behavior on our college campuses, thousands of illegal immigrants from the Middle East that have entered America through our open Southern border, and the 2024 Presidential election. Also, there is a massive manhunt underway for the Lewiston, Maine mass shooter who killed at least 18 people and injured 13 more in cold blood. Democrats immediately called for more gun control laws, which would do nothing to stop this kind of violence. Our borders are wide open with drugs and guns pouring into our country and our cities and Democrats do not blink an eye, yet they think stricter gun laws will solve the problem. Later, the gag order issued on Donald Trump by Judge Tanya Chutkan is blatant prior restraint and achieves the goal of Jack Smith and the DOJ to prevent him from defending himself. The ACLU despises Trump, but even this was too much for them, saying that Trump retains the 1st Amendment right to defend himself and we have the right to hear him. Learn more about your ad choices. Older Americans are strongly united in support of Israel and its war against Hamas. But as Charlie explains in this important hour, younger Americans are different. On both the right and the left, there is far less sympathy for Israel — and more disturbingly, growing sympathy for Hamas. Charlie explains the sources of this trend: On the left, a pathological need to support anyone "oppressed," and on the right, growing disillusion with all foreign entanglements. If Israel can't fix its PR, Charlie warns, then in a generation it will have lost its greatest ally.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

On Monday's Mark Levin Show, the Biden administration is about to hand over nuclear weapons to Iran. President Trump had theIslamonazi regime hanging by a thread by enforcing sanctions and blocking them through NATO and EU countries and it was working. President Biden and his administration have shown nothing but weakness to Iran, and now they are pressing ahead with their nuclear agenda despite being on the run while Trump was president. Biden is publically attacking Benjamin Netanyahu. We should be working closely with the one Democratic country that will do all the heavy lifting, that will have its men and women on the front lines in the fight against Iran. If Israel complies w Biden's demands they will commit suicide. Also, Democrat media mouthpieces like David Jolly are attacking Casey DeSantis to smear Governor Ron DeSantis, calling her ‘America's Karen'. There will not be a single women's group who will defend Casey Desantis, because Politico and the New York Times have already attacked her too. This is why most governors do not step into these culture wars, because to do so subjects you to relentless character assassinations from the media. Later, a war with China is inevitable because they are a regime itching to go to war. They are an enormous threat to America and it is only a matter of time until Communist China makes a serious move, and in the meantime, they are building a massive Army and Navy. China is on the move geographically and in our hemisphere and we are not equipped to take on their threat. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
