At eight years old, Sam was diagnosed with ADHD. He was indirectly told he was broken and had a disability because of this diagnosis. He went on with life, graduating college and grad school until a major incident shook him to his core and confirmed how broken he was. Once Sam understood what the 3 Principles were pointing to, he realized it was just the noise causing the illusion that he was broken. And he saw clearly that he was not broken, we are not broken at all. Sam's Information: "Change Your Mindset, Change Your Life." Over ten years ago, I made a mistake that led to a traumatic, life-changing, situation. I thought I would never recover. My life was disintegrating before my eyes. In my darkest days, I would wake up two or three times a night, rushing to the toilet to throw up in utter fear and terror. I allowed myself to become entangled in a Bermuda triangle of self-pity, deep foreboding, and noxious anger. I was in a swirl of self-perpetuated pain destroying my sense of self and taking away my ability to navigate through life even years after the storm had passed. This affected the most important people in my life who loved me and stood by me unconditionally. Instead of channeling my anger, sorrow, and desperation into strength, I shared the toxic sludge of victim-hood with everyone around me. And then one day I got quiet. I stepped out of the victim role. I stopped listening to the chaos of my thinking. I believe there is an absolute intelligence behind life. Beyond our thinking. Beyond thought. I believe that this intelligence seeks to direct us to live life to its fullest creative potential. It's simply self-actualized wisdom. My first role as coach and trainer is to point my clients in the direction of this wisdom and help them see how their minds work. There are many examples of this wisdom in action. The only real challenge is that people can get too attached to their nonsense (thinking) and cannot see how the intelligence behind life is a much better resource for getting their needs met. I point to the illusory nature of thought. Your ego will fight this, but when you grasp that thought is an illusion, the scope for change is immediate. There are no methods or special techniques. I connect with my clients in a very human way, and then we talk about the role of thought and how it either frees or limits us. It's a conversation that never gets old, but more importantly, it's a conversation that allows people to slow down and see something new. Slowing down may not seem like such a big deal, but it's the best way to have insight. My own journey continued when I allowed myself to focus less on what happened and more on living. I earned a master's degree, moved to California, and created a thriving practice. And None of this could have happened without working with a Coach. I am forever indebted to my coach, colleague, and good friend Joe R. for helping me get out of my head and my own way. It did not happen overnight. It took a lot of hard work, money, and grit and turned out to be the best money I ever spent. By working with a coach I discovered my passion for helping others. Now, I am being paid to do what I love doing; finding the talents, gifts, and resilience in people who haven't found these attributes in themselves. It has been over ten years since the event happened and today, I run a thriving coaching practice and share my life with a wonderful woman. I bask in every lucky moment, no matter how small.

What happens when you put 3 Jews on a podcast slated for an hour? You get MORE than an hour! Sam Led, no-nonsense mindset and transformation coach, stops by for a mental health focused discussion about overcoming his anxiety and neurodiversity and empowering others to do the same. The subjects we cram into this episode vary within the mental health realm, such as the process of diagnosis when identifying what is happening in the brain, and sometimes not finding out what's happening after dealing with certain conditions for an extended period of time. We also touch on our shared Jewish ancestry, and the link to intergenerational trauma. We could tell right away in our conversation that Sam has a gift for helping people see that they are far more powerful than their fears, anxieties or bad habits. Here is an official BIO from Sam himself:Combining his studies from the University of South Florida and Nova Southeastern University, Sam shares a groundbreaking new understanding that has helped thousands of people tap into their natural innate health and resilience so they can overcome anxiety, fear, and unhealthy habits without strategies, techniques, or willpower. Sam has become a powerful conduit for those wishing to recover and flourish successfully from any major life setback or loss in their lives. After being misdiagnosed multiple times by well-meaning mental health professionals, he was final diagnosed with ADHD and experienced severe anxiety for over two decades. He was suffering silently. Then in 2005, after a series of traumatic events that lead him down a rabbit hole, he finally began to “see” that the nature of his suffering was made up and illusory. That he was one thought away from mental wellbeing (as we all are). That we are not living in a world of our outside circumstances, but we are living 100% in a world made up of thought. That the truth to who we are is below the noise.Sam's Links:WebsiteInstagram (@samledconsulting)PodcastGetting Jewcy Links:WebsiteWatch This Episode on YouTube!Instagram (@getting_jewcy)Facebook (@gettingjewcy)

In this episode, Sam and I discuss anxiety and the false narrative we tell ourselves. Sam Led is a transformational coach, podcaster, and author of his soon to be released book spring/summer 2022, "Fearless" Combining his studies from the University of South Florida and Nova Southeastern University, Sam shares a groundbreaking new understanding that has helped thousands of people tap into their natural innate health and resilience so they n overcome anxiety, fear, and unhealthy habits without strategies, techniques, or willpower. Sam has become a powerful conduit for those wishing to recover and flourish successfully from any major life setback or loss in their lives. After being misdiagnosed multiple times by well-meaning mental health professionals, I was final diagnosed with ADHD and experienced severe anxiety for over two decades. I was suffering silently. Then in 2005, after a series of traumatic events that lead me down a rabbit hole, I finally began to “see” that the nature of my suffering was made up and illusory. That I was one thought away from mental wellbeing (as we all are). That we are not living in a world of our outside circumstances, but we are living 100% in a world made up of thought. That the truth to who we are is below the noise." Our guest today is Sam Led with Sam Led Consulting. Sam's discovery of The Three Principles changed his life, and in today's episode he shares how. The three principles are mind, thought & consciousness. We first learned about these on this podcast in Episode 27 with Chana Studley. IF you aren't familiar with them, go back and give that episode a listen and then dive into today's episode with Sam. Sam is now a coach and consultant, to help other people get out of their own way and out of their head so they can create the life they desire, or as he says, he is a guide repointing people back to who they are. Quoted by Sam, “I believe there is an absolute intelligence behind life. Beyond our thinking. Beyond thought. I believe that this intelligence seeks to direct us to live life to its fullest creative potential. It's simply self actualized wisdom.” Head over to Sam's website where you can book a free 20 minute discovery call, or follow along with him on IG @SamLedConsulting so you can stay up to date on the release of his first book, Fearless. This week's adventure is taken in the company of author, speaker and transformative coach Sam Led who focusses on guiding people back to wellbeing and success After a major setback in life. His book, Fear Less, talks about his living through personal hardship and how to rise above the darkness in your life. They talk about the brain as a computer, how it can glitch, and how to realise that you are not the sum total of your thought, how you can get it wrong, how to polish the lens of the heart and that deep down you all are diamonds. KEY TAKEAWAYS Presence and mindfulness is bandied about, but being able to polish off the dust from your heart that settled from the day before is about refocussing that presence and awareness. We think we’re living through our circumstances in the outside world, but we have it backwards, I think we’re living through a world f thought and thinking. We think that’s reality and the brain is doing its best to keep us safe, but we forget who we are and that we do our best when we’re not thinking. When we’re in a low mood, the brain wants to find a fall guy to keep us safe. It’s normal to feel low, when we start to think it’s not normal, that’s when the problems start. The brain is only as good as the operator, like if you don’t plug your laptop into the wall you can’t turn it on. Some of our brains glitch and you have to hit Ctl/Alt/Delete, and that’s OK too. All of you are diamonds covered in shit and layered in lipstick, what matters is the diamond part. BEST MOMENTS ‘If you asked me over three years ago that we’d be chanting the Hanuman Chalisa I’d be like ‘What?! I haven’t done that since my bar mitzvah!’ ‘We’re all just one thought away from that moment of presence.’ ‘I just want to have a happy life and I want my clients to have happy lives, it’s as simple as that.’ ‘The brain is the filter through which we experience the universe.’ ‘The anxious thinking floppy disc was inserted into my hard drive, but I’m not going to figure it out because it’s a very human thing and it doesn’t matter.’ VALUABLE RESOURCES The Adventures Of Self Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the.adventures.of.self/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/The.Adventures.of.Self ABOUT THE GUEST Sam is a no-nonsense intuitive transformative coach, author, and speaker. Sam Led is a mindset and transformation coach, author of the book “Fear Less”, powerful speaker, and group facilitator. In this episode, Paige and Sam discuss the stigma of mental health and the impact it has. Mental health is typically associated with illness, that something is wrong with you, or that you are “broken”. In reality, everyone has mental health and you are more than your ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc. We all feel differently, think differently, and face things differently. As soon as our society begins to normalize mental health and talk about it in a positive light, we will be better off. They also discuss thought control and what to do with the negative thoughts that take over your mind in times of discomfort. Sam reminds us that pushing thoughts down and utilizing thought-stopping techniques is actually detrimental. Instead, he encourages us to remember that these bad thoughts will pass and your mind will settle. It's okay to not be okay at that moment. But, by giving ourselves space and grace, prioritizing our mental health, and allowing ourselves to accept that we aren't perfect beings - the easier it will be to recognize that you are exactly where you need to be.We also talk about: Mental healthThought processesStereotypesPerfectionismAddictionPhysical healthTreatmentSam's Resources:Website: www.samledconsulting.comIG: @samledconsultingFacebook: @samledconsultingIt's Hard Resources:https://www.itshardpodcast.comFollow It's Hard on Instagram if you don't already!
