Live long and prosper! It's another Star Trek episode as this week, Emily and V venture into an alien cave to learn about "Shelter" by Leslie Fish and Joanne Agostino, AKA, the first Kirk/Spock slash fic. Fellas, is it gay to confess your love to your commanding officer in an alien cave and consummate your relationship with tender, tender sex? And fellas, is it problematic that Bones was also there? (Side note, apologies for the late releases of episodes this month. We're working hard to get back on track. Life happened.)
This episode is brought to you by Slug-O-Cola, platonic relationships, and Beckett Mariner's emotional crisis Is Beckett Mariner okay? Do Tendi and Rutherford have feelings for each other? Are we meant to think that they do? We need to admit that Migleemo is the sex god of the Cerritos If there isn't a thriving Landlord Cops fandom by the time this episode drops, we will be VERY disappointed Liz predicts there will be Rom Discourse "Joe Biden is not Rom. BUT…"
Two pilots for two juggernauts of science fiction franchises. This week, Aspen and Kenny grapple with what both franchises manage to say on their first outings. They talk about their own relationships to both Star Wars and Star Trek. They also struggle with trying to watch these episodes without the context of 50+ years of franchise around it. And we also establish the ranking system. It's pretty great, you should listen if you want.—————>>>Watch!Star Warshttps://bit.ly/tw-star-wars-tmpThe Man Traphttps://bit.ly/tw-the-man-trap
This is an episode of revelations about our hosts! One is a Kevin Bacon fan! One is a scaredy cat who has to watch horror during daylight! Which is which and which is worse? Listen, dear reader, and find out! Seedy Shorts are (usually, though not this week) brief episodes of straight readings of beautifully composed seed descriptions with no additional commentary. Fly with us on your little broomsticks to a world of magic and forbidden tingles. This week, as disillusioned former fans, we grapple with JK Rowling being a TERF-y nightmare and also discover what it’s like to record a podcast about fanfiction while a government building is being violently seized by white supremacists in real time! Other topics include moms, wizard taxes, and inappropriate pajamas. Swish and fic! Artwork by Bryn Ziegler Music by Nathaniel Kaye Follow us on Instagram, Twitter, and in person! In your car! It's time for a soul skating sesh! The gang shreds with 98's Disney Channel Original Movie, Brink! Strangely, this is without a doubt our raunchiest episode. There is fan fiction read out loud, being nostalgic of how rad the 90's was, and early examples of toxicity in DCOM's. Like this episode? There's more where that came from! True alien lust is in the air as your podcast heroes review "Blood Fever", yet another episode that required Roxann Dawson to act both sweaty and horny. The episode itself had its ups and downs, but can Peter survive the 'special enhancements' Joseph brought for the occasion?

Pitney surprises Amelia with the bundle of fabulous extras that came with the Deadpool 2 Year Anniversary Edition Blu-Ray, and she squees over the Colorforms and whatnot. Then a bunch of Marvel movie talk ensued: Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers Infinity War, etc etc. Amelia hates people who spoil movies, Pitney wants Rocket/Thor slashfic to exist. (We googled. It does. Because of course.) A brief discussion of Benedict Cumberbatch occurs, and it turns out that Tricia Von Liechtenstein is VERY into him, even to the point of uncharacteristic lewdness. This reminds Pitney of something stupid she said about another actor she had a crush on. It's really REALLY stupid. Fast forward to Amelia's trip to San Antonio and our visit to Hello Tallulah, a delightful shop filled with vintage clothing and accessories! We chatted with Kristina, the store's adorable pink-haired owner, who told us all about her wonderful business. You definitely need to stop by and see her when you're in town! Who the heck are Pitney and Amelia? A gay guy and his fat friend talking about everything! We've got over 30 years of stories to share about stuff we love, stuff that annoys us, people we've known, places we've been, and things we've seen. Geeky, silly, and always opinionated. NAMES ARE CHANGED TO PROTECT THE GUILTY! We may be awful, but we're right! New episodes every other Friday. Recorded close enough to Austin, Texas to help with their weirdness factor. Well, listeners, it's finally happened. It was inevitable, really. It was clear right from the beginning that one day, these events would occur. Most of us never believed in the prophecy, but here we are. Smash Fiction has finally, officially caught the slashfic bug (MeganBob is actually the disease's primary carrier, so yeah, should have seen that one coming). Not only that, but we've infected the Gameable Podcast with it, as well. Kris and Katrina had no choice but to return to our show once again, this time for a series of arguments that would be purely speculative if they weren't so completely obvious. Smash Fiction's pledge has always been to answer the big questions, and this week, we tackle one of the biggest there's ever been. If, in one room, you were to put James Tiberius Kirk captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise, and his first officer, Commander Spock, and in another room, you put Frodo Baggins and his faithful friend and gardener, Samwise Gamgee...which hypothetical dream couple would be the first to throw out their inhibitions and get busy? Will Kris use the sheer depth of his Lord of the Rings philosophy to defeat Dan's insistence on things like facts and evidence? Will Katrina realize her secret destiny as a wedding planner? Will MeganBob somehow be able to prevent herself from shipping other characters during this process? And how can Claire possibly make a decision between the two? At long last, the definitive answers to all these questions lie within your grasp...if, that is, your mind can survive the experience.
Hey everybody! Y'see how Batman's in the title? Well guess what we weren't actually fixing a movie with Batman in it, (even though they need our help badly,) we're actually fixing the bad, unfinished The Snowman, starring Michael Fassbender. We just decided to fix it into a movie franchise for DC about all their cool cold villain folks! So we started off our pitch with Batman v. Snowman: Dawn of Just Ice, starring Paapa Essiedu, Quvenzhane Wallis, Liam Neeson, and Kurt Russell. Also, we fixed the trailers for Death Race 4, Samson, and Alpha.
The Basterds and guest Kenny get a tad drunk and attempt to shit out content. They review SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, read a beautiful fan fiction crossover, answer listener questions, and play another round of the Fanfiction Game.

The drums of war resound across the land once again, as PK and Sean decide to fight over which is better: Dragon Age or the Elder Scrolls. As we move slowly into convention season, there is kind of a dearth of interesting comics news to work through some weeks. Oh sure, we could weigh in on Marvel’s comments at ComicsPRO that the reason their sales are down is because of DC shipping cheaper books, but that’s a little inside baseball even for […]
Mischief Managed Podcast: Your recommended dose of Harry Potter nonsense
Welcome to our Valentines Day Episode of Mischief Managed, featuring a story about Craig alone at a Harry Potter party. We imagine who we would have sent Dwarf Valentines a la Lockhart for our Meet Your Podcasters question, and Craig wins us all over for once. Our sexy topic is all about loooooooooove; particularly the weird world of Slash-Fic in the Harry Potter universe. There are plenty of groans, squeals, and male pregnancy to go around! Then it's a tricky Quizzle, an underrated Ravenclaw, a political Slytherin, and a Marry/Boff/Kill that's pretty hard on an old flame. Happy Love Day, everyone! This week on Two Scoops, Bix and Breen take a left turn to the terrifying world of fan fiction. Why does it exist? What’s “slash?” How does it make it look at the interpersonal relationships on our favorite shows? How could it achieve its goals while being significantly less awful? And much more. In GBA 221 we get better acquainted with Mathilda. She talks about #HowToBeFat, writing werewolf erotica, comedy, writing, performance, parenthood, slash fiction and more. With Todd slowly dying in the hospital, the Basterds enlist Kenny Bussey to fill the void. They talk about Todd's oldness and death, Jurassic Park and Kenny refutes being called racist by the Basterds.
Even a crippling snow storm won't stop the Basterds. Except for Todd who died. Kenny Bussey joins Kyle and Cory to discuss beer, morons reacting to weather, listener questions and some exciting Star Wars fan fiction.
One today's episode I talk to writer and performer Ben Sinclair. Ben's name may not be instantly recognizable but for fans of High Maintenance, which is one of the best webseries out there - and would certainly be among the best TV shows if it were on TV - you'll instantly know him as the series anonymous weed dealer The Guy. Not only does Ben star in the show, but along with his wife (and former Beginnings guest) Katja Blichfeld, he's also the co-creator and co-writer of the show, as well as the editor, one of the directors...and heck, I'm sure he's even taken care of craft services at some point. This is the website for Beginnings, subscribe on iTunes, follow me on Twitter.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution game director Jean-Francois Dugas, lead narrative designer Mary DeMarle, and game designer Antoine Thisdale read fanfic created by the community. There's a love story, a crossover with Naruto, and even one that may be categorized as slashfic.
