Revolut has rolled out Instant Access Savings accounts to its more than 2.7 million customers in Ireland. Instant Access Savings accounts are a new and better way for customers in Ireland to save their money. Customers will be able to earn daily, competitive interest of up to 3.49% AER on their deposits, all in just a few taps. Instant Access Savings complements an existing feature Revolut announced in Ireland earlier this year, which enables customers to invest their cash in money market funds to grow their wealth in either EUR, USD, and GBP. Instant Access Savings is the newest feature to Revolut's all-star financial app, where customers will have, upon launch, access to interest on deposits at the following variable annual gross rates: Standard & Plus plans 2% AER, Premium 2.5%, Metal 3%, and Ultra 3.49%. Revolut's new Instant Access Savings account gives customers the ability to move their cash into their savings as soon as their salary reaches their account, earning interest on those funds every day, unlike other banks. Customers who would like to earn higher interest rates can upgrade their existing plans from Standard to paid plans in just a few taps within the app. Instant Access Savings offers savers in Ireland full control, too; customers will have access to their funds on-demand whilst earning competitive interest, adding or withdrawing at any time. Joe Heneghan, Partner & Chief Executive Officer - Revolut Europe, said: "The Irish banking landscape is characterised by some of the lowest deposit rates in Europe, tricky or confusing limits, inaccessibility, and a real lack of competition. Today, Revolut is stepping in with a solution that makes saving money much better and much simpler for the people of Ireland. With our app now the preferred choice for managing finances every day for millions of customers in Ireland, we're introducing Instant Access Savings accounts to offer customers great rates of up to 3.49%, full control over their money at any time, and interest paid out daily. Now, when payday arrives, customers can confidently allocate a portion of their salary to their savings without having to worry about accessing it when they need it." Albert Codorniu, General Manager of Savings at Revolut, commented: "This is a key step in our mission to make Revolut the best choice for everyday banking. With daily interest payments and instant-access withdrawals, secured by our fully licensed bank, we're making it simpler and better than ever for our customers to save and grow their money in Ireland." To open an Instant Access Savings account and start earning interest, customers need to: Update their Revolut app to the latest version. Tap on 'Accounts' Tap 'Add new' Scroll down and tap on 'Savings & Funds' Choose 'Instant Access Savings'. For more information about the product, see product T&Cs. For more information about deposit protection see the deposit insurance page, for more information about complaints and disputes see the complaints policy page. Revolut Bank UAB is authorised by the Bank of Lithuania in the Republic of Lithuania and by the European Central Bank and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland for the conduct of business rules. The album's first single,  a cover of Johnny Horton's "Honky Tonk Man," was a clear message that this was a roots-influenced album, yet the energy and production made it also contemporary. Producer/Guitarist Pete Anderson took Dwight's tunes and added a modern take on the Bakersfield sound, that was the perfect nod to the past, but without becoming a pastiche of California Country styles of the 1960s.  Although Yoakam had 21 great original tunes in the bag, he and Pete agreed to mix 7 of the backlog of original tunes, along with 3 revved-up covers to fill out the album. This winning formula would also serve as the template for his next two releases, Hillbilly Deluxe, and Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room. Besides a history of the album, we will also look at some of Pete's parts, and the gear he used for the album.Gear used:2023 Headstrong Lil' King with 12" Eminence GA-SC64 speakerhttps://headstrongamps.com/lil-king-amp1953 Telecaster built by my old college buddy, B. Cortesians will get to choose their internet providers next Spring

Roy L Hales/ Cortes Currents - Sometime this spring, possibly as early as March, Cortes Island residents will get to choose their internet provider. After building Twincomm up to the company islanders recognize today, on June 28, 2021, former General Manager Dino Tsakonas left to join CityWest. In an interview at that time, he told Cortes Currents that this came about as a result of the Connected Coast project, which will bring reliable high speed internet to Cortes Island. CityWest partnered with the Strathcona Regional District (SRD) to become the local provider. “I was heavily involved with that because I was trying to get more fibre optiks so we can better serve our Twincomm customers. What happened is that project continued, and they got the grants. We were trying to work out a deal last fall between Twincomm and CityWest. That fell through and then CityWest just offered me a job. I decided it was my best interest to switch teams.” “After that, I got them both back at the table to make some type of deal. Now we're in negotiations to see if CityWest can purchase Twincomm. That way it's a smooth transition, but it's very entirely possible that both the CEOs decide not to make a deal, that's out of my hands now, but I brought them both back to the table.” Twincomm's much anticipated deal with CityWest never occurred. Instead, on June 30, 2022, TELUS acquired Twincomm ‘as part of its Mascon by TELUS brand.' Colleen Dragseth, who has beenTwincomm's General Manager since Tsakona's departure, emailed Cortes Currents that the migration to Mascon by TELUS will occur later in 2023. “At this time, Twincomm will not be providing an interview. Please feel free to contact us again in the spring. Once we have more information regarding our transition to Mascon by Telus, customers will be contacted. ” We do not know what Twincomm will look like after it becomes part of Mascon by Telus. Colleen and Debbie Dragseth, Lyle Brulhart, Jason Thompson, Dave Blinzinger and Liesa van Rossem have been working there for years. Will they still be in the new Mascon by TELUS team? Twincomm's infrastructure will most likely improve. Mascon by TELUS is offering download speeds of up to 120 Mbps, and upload speeds up to 12.5 Mbps up on Quadra Island. Dragseth emailed a description of four of Twincomm's current service speed plans. They all have upload speeds of up to 5 Mbps but the download speeds range from ‘up to 8' to ‘up to 30 Mbps,' depending on what people are willing to pay. Cortes Currents uses the Standard Plus plan and in 6 out of 7 recent speed tests was clocked at +16 down/+6 up. My low score was 15.32/6.54. That is still better than the 15/5 advertised for this plan. Dragseth explained, “We allow slightly more if the network capacity allows it.” Tsakonas said, “You get 16 MBps? That's half of what our lowest speed is. We offer up to 1,000 Mbps. You can get it for $138 a month.”

NEW TESLA MODEL 3 STANDARD LFP V LONG RANGE V PERFORMANCE  - I've recently been driving the latest Model 3 Standard Plus (previously known as SR+ ) and it's remarkably efficient. In the real world I don't think it can be too far off the bigger battery Long Range and Performance models for range.  But there's only one way to see. Drive them side by side in convoy at the same time on the same roads at the same speed!  LFP can be charged to 100% daily compared to the others 90%. It looks like this then equates to the same range! The others only gaining if you charge to trip level. Original Source : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEuLK9GrnyA TESLA DELAYS CYBERTRUCK TO EARLY 2023 - Tesla has never been fantastic at meeting deadlines, so it's not too surprising that the company's ambitious electric pickup — the Cybertruck — is running a little late. Recently, reference to a 2022 production schedule was scrubbed from its website, and Reuters is now reporting that production of the vehicle won't begin until the first quarter of 2023. - The Cybertruck was originally announced in 2019, with Tesla promising that the vehicle would be rolling off production lines in late 2021. Then, in August that year, full production was delayed to some time in 2022. Now, that deadline seems to have been waived, too. - The site originally told buyers: “You will be able to complete your configuration as production nears in 2022.” Now it says: “You will be able to complete your configuration as production nears,” with archives showing that reference to the year was removed at the end of December 20201. Original Source : https://www.theverge.com/2022/1/13/22881646/tesla-cybertruck-production-date-2022-removed-website EXCLUSIVE: TESLA DELAYS INITIAL PRODUCTION OF CYBERTRUCK TO EARLY 2023 - Tesla Inc (TSLA.O) aims to start initial production of its much-anticipated Cybertruck by the end of the first quarter of 2023, pushing back its plan to begin production late this year, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters on Thursday. - The person said the delay comes as Tesla is changing features and functions of the electric pickup to make a compelling product as competition heats up in the segment. The European Union would like to halt sales of new internal combustion engine cars by 2035. - The next step for Renault in Europe is to launch the all-new, all-electric Renault Megane E-Tech Electric (based on the CMF-EV platform) and the new Renault Kangoo Van E-TECH Electric. The efforts are part of a Ford+ turnaround plan led by CEO Jim Farley, who took over the helm in October 2020. Show #583   Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Tuesday 17th September 2019. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story to save you time.   Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too.   TESLA ALLOWS DISCOUNTS AND OFFERS 2 YEARS OF FREE SUPERCHARGING "Tesla is pulling out the big guns for its end-of-the-quarter push. Electrek has learned that Tesla is authorizing its sales staff to give two years of free Supercharging, and it is discounting inventory vehicles by matching them with cheaper orders." reports Fred today: "While Tesla claims it has been trying to move away from it, the automaker often ends up making massive sales and delivery pushes at the end of each quarter.  Last quarter, Tesla pushed hard and offered bonuses to employees in order to achieve record deliveries, and they were successful.    Sources familiar with the matter told Electrek that Tesla has authorized its sales staff to offer two years of free Supercharging for new Model 3 orders that get delivered by the end of the month, which coincides with the end of the quarter. Furthermore, they are also authorizing sales staff to waive the fees of up to two features to match orders with inventory vehicles, which can result in important discounts. The features are limited to paint colors, interior, and wheels. For example, you could be ordering a Model 3 Standard Plus in white with 18-inch wheels for $38,990 and if Tesla happens to have the same Model 3 in red with 19-inch wheels, Tesla’s sales staff can approve the sale of the vehicle for the same price"   https://electrek.co/2019/09/13/tesla-discounts-free-supercharging-end-of-the-quarter-push/   FORD'S MUSTANG-INSPIRED SUV BOASTS 300-PLUS MILE RANGE "Ford seems prepared to bring all the ammunition it can for its first electric vehicle, the unnamed Mustang-inspired SUV. This Thursday, the automaker launched a new website for electric vehicles in Europe and quoted a 370-mile range for the electric SUV, based on WLTP estimates." says CNET: "WLTP figures are far more liberal than our EPA estimates. Some quick math for a conversion pegs an EPA estimate to land somewhere around 330 miles of range on the high side. If Ford does nail that figure, it will be the only other electric car to rival Tesla's Model S Long Range, which packs an estimated 335-mile range. A Ford representative underscored the 370-mile range figure will not mimic an EPA estimate and said the target is still at least 300 miles for the US market. It's important to note the website also says "up to 370 miles." The phrasing indicates this figure will definitely correspond to a range-topping model with other models beneath it boasting shorter ranges, but likely less expensive price points."   https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/ford-mustang-suv-electric-range-specs-features/   VOLKSWAGEN PLANNING TO CREATE ONE OPERATING SYSTEM FOR ALL OF ITS BRANDS "Christian Senger, head of the Digital Car and Services division for Volkswagen Group, tells Ars Technica, “Software is extremely complex nowadays. Each function is connected with everything — in the car, in the cloud, with the dealers — and we see that too many projects are in too much trouble. The process chain is not stable anymore; there’s so much inefficiency to this process. Today, we build more than 10 million cars a year. But they are running on roughly eight different electronic architectures." reports CleanTechnica: "Senger points out that the Android operating system is capable of running perfectly well on smartphones that cost as little as $60 to those selling for $1000 or more. [VW] will consolidate all of its software development into one new division that will employ up to 10,000 people within the next 5 years. The objective is to create a single unified automotive operating system that will run everything from a VW Polo to an Audi A8. Senger says Volkswagen has decided to use Android as the basis of its new software architecture, particularly because of the robust third party app ecosystem that is based on Android."   https://cleantechnica.com/2019/09/16/volkswagen-planning-to-create-one-operating-system-for-all-of-its-brands/   GM CONSIDERS LAUNCHING THEIR OWN BATTERY PRODUCTION "General Motors apparently intends to produce their own battery cells in the future. This is the result of statements GM has made to the US car union United Auto Workers (UAW) in current talks to settle a strike." says electrive: "Within the framework of contract negotiations, General Motors has promised the union investments in the USA totalling 7 billion dollars over the next four years – among other things for the production of an electrically driven pickup in Detroit as well as for the aforementioned production of battery cells in Lordstown in the US state of Ohio. According to Reuters, GM’s electric pickup is scheduled for 2022 and could roll off the production line at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant. There is no further information on the apparently planned production of battery cells."   https://www.electrive.com/2019/09/17/gm-considers-launching-their-own-battery-production/   SPY SHOTS SHOW VW ID.4 ELECTRIC SUV WE'LL GET IN THE U.S. "The model we're expecting to launch the German giant's new line of electric vehicles on this side of the Atlantic is the ID.4 – the production version of the ID. Crozz concepts showcased in Shanghai and Frankfurt two years ago. And these latest spy shots, captured in the Austrian Alps, give us our best look yet at how it'll appear in production guise." reports Motor1.com: "the ID.4 will be taller than most, offering a more commanding driving position and increased interior space – somewhere in between that of the short-wheelbase, five-seat Tiguan offered overseas and the elongated, seven-seat version (known elsewhere as the Tiguan Allspace) that we get here in America. The ID.4's larger form will necessitate a more potent electric powertrain than the smaller ID.3's. So in conjunction with the 200-horsepower electric motor driving the rear wheels on the hatchback, we're anticipating Volkswagen will install a 100-horsepower motor on the front axle to deliver a combined 300 hp and through-the-road all-wheel drive."   https://www.motor1.com/news/371167/volkswagen-id4-spy-shots/   CATL CONSIDERS US PLANT, TARGETS 45 PERCENT ENERGY-DENSITY BOOST IN 5 YEARS "China’s Contemporary Amerex Technology Co., better known as CATL, has in the past several years become a global battery giant. Last week one of its senior executives revealed to Reuters that the company is considering a manufacturing expansion into North America, even though the market for EVs will lag that of China and Europe. " says Green Car Reports: "The company is already planning a battery “gigafactory” of its own in Erfurt, Germany—a facility that will start production in 2021 and be one of the largest battery plants in Europe. CATL announced firm numbers for the improvements. It can now accomplish more than 200 watt-hours per kilogram with its automotive lithium-ion batteries for EVS (up from 180 wh/kg). Energy density with its current chemistries has reached 240 watt-hours per kilogram, and it’s targeting 350 wh/kg—a 45 percent improvement—by 2024."   https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1125058_catl-considers-us-plant-targets-45-percent-energy-density-boost-in-5-years   ON THE ROAD TO NORMAL New research conducted by Go Ultra Low, the joint government and industry campaign to promote the uptake of electric vehicles, has found that two thirds (69%) of people expect “electric cars” to be referred to simply as “cars” by the year 2030. The research, which looked at the normalisation process of new technology, found people seeing their family and friends driving them (33%), as well more being visible on the road (49%), as the two main factors driving a change in the way we perceive EVs. This comes as registrations for battery electric vehicles hit a record high, with a 93.1% increase in year-to-date registrations compared with the same timeframe last year. When asked what factors would improve the likelihood of purchasing an EV, close to half (45%) of respondents cited improved charging infrastructure.   https://electriccarsreport.com/2019/09/on-the-road-to-normal-two-thirds-of-people-expect-electric-cars-to-be-referred-to-as-cars-by-2030/   TESTED: RENAULT ZOE CAN GRID-BALANCE "Dutch smart charging specialist Jedlix and the Elaad Competence Centre have concluded that Renault Zoe can be used in a balancing capacity of TenneT in the Netherlands." reports Electrive: "To use Renault Zoe for network balancing, the car’s charging process had to be able to react to real-time signals. At Elaad’s test centre in Arnhem, in the Netherlands, the two partners conclusively proved that the Zoe is able to respond to TenneT signals within seconds. According to Jedlix, this kind of suitability is further proof that electric vehicle batteries can be efficient and competitive resources that contribute to increasing the flexibility requirements of national grids. Renault already has two smart grid projects underway: on the French Island of Belle-Île-en-Mer where the system on the island will combine a car-sharing service with EVs, local solar energy storage and an intelligent charging system. Renault is converting used batteries to power the largest holiday resort on the island. Similarly, on the Portuguese island of Porto Santo, several Renault Zoe is being used as part of a smart grid project to be part of an intelligent power grid. There, Zoe models are retrofitted prototypes that allow bidirectional charging.   https://www.electrive.com/2019/09/12/renault-zoe-can-grid-balance/   QUESTION OF THE WEEK The MYEV.com Question Of The Week…   What is your dream EV roadtrip?   I want to say a heartfelt thank you to the 250 patrons of this podcast whose generosity means I get to keep making this show, which aims to entertain and inform thousands of listeners every day about a brighter future. Show #536   Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Monday 22nd July 2019. AUDI TARGETS TESLA OWNERS IN E-TRON MARKETING PUSH "Reports from the electric car community in Germany have noted that Audi has been placing promotional merchandise at Tesla Club tables during exhibitions. Demo units of the e-tron are also being parked at select Supercharger stations. " says Simon at Teslarati: "One promotional Audi e-tron unit was even photographed blocking a Supercharger stall, similar to how anti-EV drivers “ICE” an electric car charging station. With a 204-mile EPA rating, the e-tron has less range than a Model 3 Standard Plus, or even a 2012 Model S. Thus, by placing the e-tron at Superchargers, Audi could risk highlighting the e-tron’s range disadvantage to potential customers. Apart from this, Audi does not have its own charging infrastructure. The e-tron is capable of rapid charging, but the vehicle relies on third-party solutions for long-distance travel."   https://www.teslarati.com/audi-etron-blocks-tesla-superchargers-advertisement/   URBAN ELECTRIC RELEASES IMAGE OF ON-STREET POP-UP CHARGER "British startup Urban Electric has released an image of its UEone, a retractable pop-up charging hub for residential on-street parking." reports ChagedEVs.com: "The company says its charger is a solution for the 50% of UK city drivers who park on the street at night. The company plans to install the units as fast charging hubs on residential streets and on-street public parking bays. The retractable units will charge vehicles overnight during off-peak hours, and are designed to minimally impact the urban streetscape. The project will integrate hub charging with the Appy parking platform to provide a seamless parking and charging experience which will include road sensors that let drivers know if a parking bay is available."   https://chargedevs.com/newswire/urban-electric-releases-image-of-on-street-pop-up-charger/   BMW'S NEW CEO IS DOUBLING DOWN ON THE STRATEGY THAT GOT THE LAST CEO OUSTED "In what Automotive News is declaring a “bold way forward,” new BMW CEO Oliver Zipse is promising not to make electric cars on a platform that is not explicitly designed for their propulsion system, not because that is better for BMW’s customers but for BMW’s ease of manufacturing:" says Jalopmik today:"This is a very different approach from companies like Volkswagen, which see the future of EVs as needing dedicated platforms Batteries can be laid flat like a pancake across virtually the entire bottom of a car on a dedicated EV platform, enabling much more of them and with better weight distribution, and electric motors can be placed in much more inconspicuous spots than with a traditional piston engine."   Automotive News said: "Zipse delivered a 40-minute talk at the Oxford plant, half of it devoted to why BMW shouldn’t go down the same path as Volkswagen and others in creating vehicle platforms that are uniquely electric. Instead, he said, BMW must have platforms that can go either way. That has been a topic of strategic debate inside BMW in recent years, complicated by the company’s relatively limited global production capacity. BMW in June said it will introduce 25 electrified models by 2023. Zipse was at the plant in southern England to present Mini’s first electric car, the Cooper SE. It is built on the same platform as combustion-engine cars that are moving down the same assembly line. He said the cost to adapt the plant was minimal and did not require a big effort."   https://jalopnik.com/bmws-new-ceo-is-doubling-down-on-the-strategy-that-got-1836597860   2021 BMW INEXT REVEALS POLYGONAL STEERING WHEEL IN NEW TEASER "It was at the end of May when BMW hopped inside the cabin of the iNEXT to provide us with an official glimpse of the SUV’s cabin by showing off the back of the massive driver-oriented curved display. Fast forward to July 22, a new interior detail has been revealed as we get to see the electric vehicle’s all-new steering wheel that represents a departure from previous designs." according to Motor1: "The production-ready iNEXT will boast a polygonal steering wheel featuring an almost flat rim at the upper and lower sections combined with rounded corners at the sides. BMW explains they did this not just for the sake of coming out with something new, but to make it easier to figure out the steering angle based on the position on the wheel compared to a traditional circular-shaped wheel. The two-spoke steering wheel boasts optical fibers built into the side sections that light up whenever the driver needs to take control of the iNEXT or when the automated driving functions are available. "   https://www.motor1.com/news/361024/2021-bmw-inext-steering-wheel/   TESLA’S (TSLA) Q2 2019 EARNINGS CALL "Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) is poised to hold its second-quarter earnings call after the markets close on Wednesday. With the electric car maker exceeding expectations on its vehicle production and deliveries, all eyes are now on the company as it tries to return to profitability, which it was able to achieve in the third and fourth quarter of 2018." reports Teslarati: "As for revenue, FactSet expects Tesla to report sales of $6.5 billion in the second quarter, an improvement over the $4 billion the company reported in Q2 2018 and the $4.5 billion in the first quarter. Estimize, for its part, expects Tesla to report sales of $6.6 billion."   https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-tsla-q2-2019-earnings-call-wall-st-estimates/   FENIX POWER NOW PLANS TO MAKE YOUR OLD LEAF MORE LIKE A TESLA "As we’ve reported before, Fenix Power had plans to offer batteries for degraded Nissan LEAFs, and eventually other vehicles. Now, after a recent merger, it wants to do a whole lot more. By combining forces with Chargeshare Network and keeping the Fenix name, it plans to offer a range of services that can help an older LEAF and other EVs be a lot easier to use." reports CleanTechnica: "Let’s face it — there are a lot of used LEAFs out there that would make the average driver run away from EVs and not go back for a long time. By having options for older vehicles to stay on the road without having to pay Nissan an exorbitant amount, the situation is massively improved. Fenix Power will be providing new cooled and monitored batteries of 24–40 kWh to replace their aging and degraded factory packs much more affordably than Nissan does."   https://cleantechnica.com/2019/07/22/with-a-merger-fenix-power-now-plans-to-make-your-old-leaf-more-like-a-tesla/   TESLA REVEALS REVOLUTIONARY NEW WIRING ARCHITECTURE "Tesla has revealed its revolutionary new wiring architecture that enables more robot automation in the manufacturing process and uses fewer materials for its upcoming cars like Model Y and Tesla Pickup truck." says Fred at Electrek: "Musk said that Model S has about 3 kilometers of wiring harnesses and Tesla brought it down to 1.5 kilometers in length for the Model 3. But that’s just the beginning. Tesla is working on a whole new wiring architecture for future vehicle platforms and they aim to bring it down to just 100 meters starting with the Model Y.  In a new patent application that recently became public and was obtained by Electrek, Tesla revealed the first details of this new wiring architecture."   https://electrek.co/2019/07/22/tesla-revolutionary-wiring-architecture-robots-model-y/       COMMUNITY And thanks to MYEV.com they’ve set us another Question Of The Week. Show #401.   Can You Help Me Fight The Fossils? Read More About Patreon here EVne.ws/patreon   Read today’s show notes on https://www.evnewsdaily.com   Good morning, good afternoon and good evening wherever you are in the world, welcome to EV News Daily for Thursday 28th February 2019. It’s Martyn Lee here and I’ve been through every EV story I could find today, and picked out the best ones to save you time.   Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too.   $35,000 TESLA MODEL 3 AVAILABLE NOW   We are incredibly excited to announce that the standard Model 3, with 220 miles of range, a top speed of 130 mph and 0-60 mph acceleration of 5.6 seconds is now available at $35,000! Although lower in cost, it is built to achieve the same perfect 5-star safety rating as the longer-ranged version, which has the lowest probability of injury of any car ever tested by the U.S. Government.   In addition, we are introducing the Model 3 Standard Range Plus, which offers 240 miles of range, a top speed of 140 mph, 0-60 mph acceleration of just 5.3 seconds and most premium interior features at $37,000 before incentives. For 6% more money, you get 9% more range, more power, and an upgraded interior.   To achieve these prices while remaining financially sustainable, Tesla is shifting sales worldwide to online only. You can now buy a Tesla in North America via your phone in about 1 minute, and that capability will soon be extended worldwide. We are also making it much easier to try out and return a Tesla, so that a test drive prior to purchase isn’t needed. You can now return a car within 7 days or 1,000 miles for a full refund. Quite literally, you could buy a Tesla, drive several hundred miles for a weekend road trip with friends and then return it for free. With the highest consumer satisfaction score of any car on the road, we are confident you will want to keep your Model 3.   Shifting all sales online, combined with other ongoing cost efficiencies, will enable us to lower all vehicle prices by about 6% on average, allowing us to achieve the $35,000 Model 3 price point earlier than we expected. Over the next few months, we will be winding down many of our stores, with a small number of stores in high-traffic locations remaining as galleries, showcases and Tesla information centers. The important thing for customers in the United States to understand is that, with online sales, anyone in any state can quickly and easily buy a Tesla.   At the same time, we will be increasing our investment in the Tesla service system, with the goal of same-day, if not same-hour service, and with most service done by us coming to you, rather than you coming to us. Moreover, we guarantee service availability anywhere in any countries in which we operate.   We’re also excited to announce that we’re implementing a number of firmware upgrades for both new and existing customers. These upgrades will increase the range of the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive Model 3 to 325 miles, increase the top speed of Model 3 Performance to 162 mph, and add an average of approximately 5% peak power to all Model 3 vehicles.   Tesla is committed to making not just the best electric cars, but the best cars, period. And our products are the reason we continue to rank #1 in Consumer Reports owner satisfaction survey and have every single year since Tesla was first eligible to be included in 2013. Both Model 3 Standard and Standard Plus are available starting today at Tesla.com.       COMMUNITY And thanks to MYEV.com they’ve set us another Question Of The Week.
