In the 6th episode of TFTHS we talk about Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. We start from the social reforms of the first half of 20th century and we move into the creation of one of the biggest DIY punk and hardcore scenes in the world. This episode features (for the first time) a guest - our friend Kostas, who has lived in Stockholm for nearly ten years and he used to be a part of the local hardcore scene. He narrated us some quite interested tales from the underground scene of the city.Στο 6ο επεισόδιο του THFTHS μιλάμε για την Στοκχόλμη, την πρωτεύουσα της Σουηδίας. I attended a night of music on Friday Feb 19. First I went to Yellow Cab Tavern for SKRT, the Zygotes, and Manray. The Zygotes and Manray were both releasing new music to the packed all ages show. Then I headed to Blind Bobs for the bands Gay Black Republicans, the Involuntarys, Duderus, and Grand Mammoth. On Sat Feb 20, the crew went to the 2016 Independent Creators Expo and Film Festival at the Crowne Plaza in Downtown dayton. We recorded content to be released later, and we also released an episode of Epic and the Beard. This one will be called Izzy and the Beard After the Independent Creators Expo, I went to W.O. Wrights in Fairborn, Ohio for the Violent Kind, Swimming With Sharks, Good English, and Nightbeast Izzy Rock and Mark DaGrossa recorded this two part episode at the Montessori School of Dayton for the 2016 Dayton Brew HaHa. "The Dayton Brew Ha-Ha is an annual fundraiser for the Montessori School of Dayton. The event started in 2011 and raises funds for the school?s capital improvement fund. Although each year has seen exponential growth, we are committed to maintaining the event as a premier boutique beer tasting, where residents of our community can come to mingle, try regional and local beers, and learn more about the school and about craft beer. Our beers have always had a regional focus. Previous iterations have seen offerings from the Great Lake States, as well as a Michigan vs. Ohio showdown (2014) and Daytonâ??s first All Ohio tasting (2015). In 2016, they returned to their Midwestern roots, showcasing the best our region has to offer." On Tuesday November 2, 2015 Ohio voters have the chance to end the prohibition of cannabis (Marijuana) and legalize for the ability for anyone 21 and up to grow up to four flowering plants, purchase cannabis, consume cannabis, start small businesses for the manufacture of and sale of products for the use of cannabis. 1159 shops will be allowed to open, a $24M International Cannabinoid Research Facility is seeking a home in Ohio to advance the science and research because of Ohio voting to amend their constitution. This ballot amendment is referred to as Issue 3. Sponsored by ResponsibleOhio it was put into motion be a group of 50 investors to open 10 competing grow facilities for the first four years of the change in law. These ten facilities would compete to supply enough cannabis for all 1159 shops. These facilities will sublease to small growers in Ohio, allowing for boutique grows. Ohio voters and longtime grassroots supporters of cannabis are opposed to this oligopoly and see it as a free market issue, voting to choose to continue prohibition and the black market, rather than have government regulations stop the ability for anyone wanting to start their own grow facility like Colorado currently has. This very controversial subject has divided many, waiting for the day they can see prohibition end AND have a free and open market. Many compare it to growing tomatoes, but tomatoes were never a schedule 1 controlled substance that will still be banned federally after the vote for or against Issue 3. This podcast was recorded at Keller Law Offices on Thursday October 29th at the weekly Greenfight meeting. We featured many different people at this meeting, which were pro Issue 3. I had my friend and fellow podcrafter Drew Sample of the Sample Hour podcast, who is opposed to Issue 3 to submit questions for the podcast. The Podcast itself is about and 1 hour 30 minutes. The rest is many different sound clips pulled from Youtube pertaining to the views of cannabis during the height of the â??War on Drugsâ?? during the Reagan era to current Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. I am supporting Issue 3 but understand why you would not be. In my scales of justice, prohibition is a bigger threat to freedom and a bigger moral issue than oligopoly. The Dreamer: It's Just a Ride is the third episode in a series of podcasts featuring a collection of clips to showcase a message. That message is one of love and compassion.
