Behind every successful investor is a trail of failures, dumpster fires, bad deals, unmitigated disasters and maybe even some frivolous lawsuits. The truth you won't hear from most investors: there's no way around the necessity of failure in this business. What sets the best apart is their ability to fail faster, learn, and bounce back. That sometimes means losing a ton of money, getting burned by a contractor, and still having the grit to do another deal. What can we learn from these catastrophes and setbacks? Can a good real estate investing coach help make life easier? In this episode, I'm joined by author, entrepreneur, digital marketing wizard and my good friend, Bob McIntosh. He talks about his journey - from the struggles and pivots to the biggest lessons he's learned along the way. Three Things You'll Learn In This Episode First flip, total failure Losing money as a real estate investor is a given, but does this model make it easier to bounce back? Lawsuits come with the territory What are some of the unavoidable difficulties about being an investor? More rehabs, more problems Why does Bob opt for smaller flips when he could keep growing and taking on bigger projects? Guest Bio Bob McIntosh is a #1 best selling Amazon.com author, business owner, entrepreneur and wizard of making digital marketing work for fellow entrepreneurs. In this episode of Money Tales our guest is Rachel Donnelly. When she was a young adult, Rachel's mom was diagnosed with cancer and passed away a couple of weeks later. Rachel's dad had previously died, so along with dealing with the shock and emotions, Rachel was probating her mom's estate. She was also stepping into her mother's shoes by taking care of her uncle, who was in the later stages of Parkinson's disease. This meant even more logistics of getting the power of attorney, healthcare proxy, and other legal documents in place for her uncle. Rachel tells us she remembers standing in the parking lot of a bank after trying to set up an estate banking account after her uncle died and wondering why someone wasn't available to help her manage this incredible dumpster fire. This got Rachel's entrepreneurial blood flowing and inspired her to start a business. Rachel is a driven and compassionate entrepreneur who has used her personal experiences to create meaningful change for others. After enduring several losses, including the death of her parents, she founded AfterLight (formerly Black Dress Consultants), a business that assists clients in managing the administrative tasks associated with legacy planning and after loss. Her goal is to enable clients to focus on healing in grief and getting back to the things that really matter after a loss. Rachel is also the co-founder of Professionals of After Loss Services (PALS), a training and support network for industry professionals who offer services to individuals and families after the loss of a loved one. This industry organization has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of services available to those coping with loss. Before starting AfterLight, Rachel worked in higher education fundraising for several institutions, including Agnes Scott College, Emory University, and Georgia Institute of Technology. Rachel is a proud alumna of Agnes Scott College, where she earned her degree. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Love Not Lost, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta that provides grief tools and free photography sessions for families facing terminal diagnoses. Rachel is also a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council. Rachel resides in Atlanta with her husband Zack and their two children. She is dedicated to her family and her community and continues to make a positive impact through her work.

All of my values clearly outlined below: "Council for Secular Humanism According to the Council for Secular Humanism, within the United States, the term "secular humanism" describes a world view with the following elements and principles:[8] Need to test beliefs – A conviction that dogmas, ideologies and traditions, whether religious, political or social, must be weighed and tested by each individual and not simply accepted by faith. Reason, evidence, scientific method – A commitment to the use of critical reason, factual evidence and scientific method of inquiry in seeking solutions to human problems and answers to important human questions. Fulfillment, growth, creativity – A primary concern with fulfillment, growth and creativity for both the individual and humankind in general. Search for truth – A constant search for objective truth, with the understanding that new knowledge and experience constantly alter our imperfect perception of it. This life – A concern for this life (as opposed to an afterlife) and a commitment to making it meaningful through better understanding of ourselves, our history, our intellectual and artistic achievements, and the outlooks of those who differ from us. Ethics – A search for viable individual, social and political principles of ethical conduct, judging them on their ability to enhance human well-being and individual responsibility. Justice and fairness – an interest in securing justice and fairness in society and in eliminating discrimination and intolerance.[27] Building a better world – A conviction that with reason, an open exchange of ideas, good will, and tolerance, progress can be made in building a better world for ourselves and our children. A Secular Humanist Declaration was issued in 1980 by the Council for Secular Humanism's predecessor, CODESH. It lays out ten ideals: Free inquiry as opposed to censorship and imposition of belief; separation of church and state; the ideal of freedom from religious control and from jingoistic government control; ethics based on critical intelligence rather than that deduced from religious belief; moral education; religious skepticism; reason; a belief in science and technology as the best way of understanding the world; evolution; and education as the essential method of building humane, free, and democratic societies.[28]" --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/antonio-myers4/support

Geoff and Gabe review another crazy week in the off season! With the continued development in the Deshaun Watson allegations, what will happen with the Browns? Geoff weighs in from a player's perspective on the very suspicious NDA stuff surrounding Deshaun's charges, the Browns' probable next moves (ripping up the contract, or hoping everyone forgets the allegations by 2023?) and how the Texans may or may not have been consciously involved. However, with Jack Del Rio's most recent politically-charged Twitter rant, the D.C. Commanders may even be a bigger dumpster fire than the Browns. Next, Gabe and Geoff discuss Tyreek Hill's questionable Chiefs-bashing in his podcast episode, proving once and for all that all wide receivers are divas. Geoff and Gabe wrap up the show with some Over-Under predictions about Baker's future, PGA remarks, and the Celtics' odds this season.
