If you're looking to unlock the secrets of success, feel differently about challenges and understand how to use your energy to influence yourself and others. Listen up! I'm so excited to share this with you. Tony Robbins has been a leader in the personal development/motivational speaking realm for probably 40 years and I had the privilege of seeing him speak live at a recent Keller Williams conference. As always, Tony delivered so many good nuggets of information and got every one of us in the audience that day understanding the power we have to change our lives. You're going to love this episode and thankfully I'm a great note taker! Resources Mentioned in the Show: 3 Questions to Ask Yourself (from Tony Robbins): What are you going to focus on? Go to school. Work hard. Get a job and get paid 6 figures. Doctor, lawyer, architect. Work for 40-50 years and you are set. Does that sound familiar? Marcus Chan was washing dishes, sometimes for up to 15 hours on a Sunday and he knew there had to be more. He rejected the societal constructs that said that to make money, you've got to work hard in one of those high paying jobs. As he broke through the 100k barrier, then 150, then 200, he realized he could keep going. After getting 10 raises in 10 years and bringing in millions of dollars for a large corporation, he decided it was time to move on and become a sales coach for the top B2B and Sales professionals and leaders. Join me and Marcus and we dissect the mindset and mindset tools & practices of an 8 figure entrepreneur. How do leaders teach their employees to cultivate a powerful mindset? Are top sales organizations teaching mindset as part of their onboarding and training? What mindset practices does Marcus do for himself? What are the top limiting beliefs and stories that sales reps have that hold them back? How did Marcus start thinking bigger and who did he learn from? We'll get deep into Mindset on this episode of Mindset Hackers. Visualization, journaling, affirmations, we cover it all. "If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always gotten" Tony Robbins "What we do or cannot do, what we consider is possible or not possible, is rarely a function of our true capability. Its merely a function of our beliefs about who we truly are and what we can accomplish." The Dickens process is an NLP technique used by many, especially Tony Robbins. The essence is based on “Scrooge” where it shows the future that could be if he doesn't change his ways. This process uses your conscious mind to visualize both paths. Create Empowering Beliefs and eliminate Disempowering Beliefs in minutes! https://thenofearzone.com/fear/the-dickens-pattern/Terms Belief - a feeling of certainty about what something means. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP)- a pseudoscientific approach to communication, personal development, and psychotherapy used to restructure Reticular Activating System (RAS) - a network of neurons located in the brain stem that project anteriorly to the hypothalamus to mediate behavior, as well as both posteriorly to the thalamus and directly to the cortex for activation of awake, desynchronized cortical EEG patterns. Empowering Beliefs - beliefs we have about ourselves which are helpful, positive, and accurate. Empowering Beliefs give us power because they affect our thoughts, feelings, and actions. They help us to take positive action and feel good about ourselves. Disempowering Beliefs - beliefs we have about ourselves which are destructive, negative, and inaccurate. Disempowering Beliefs take away our power because they affect our thoughts, feelings, and actions. They help us to take negative action and feel bad about ourselves. Quotes "People will do more to avoid pain than they will ever do to gain pleasure." -Tony Robbins "What people can do is absolutely incredible, what they will do is usually disappointing." -Tony Robbins "Sometimes you need to bet on yourself and believe you can do something before you can even do it, and if you don't believe you can no one else will." -Bruce Da Silva Novel A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

This year, I started my podcast and welcomed my second baby earthside." Candice is a self proclaimed master manifestor and personal development junkie who loves to engage in interesting conversations with other influencers and entrepreneurs. Her favourite conversations are the ones that take courage to engage in. (Check out her podcast, Create the Ripple Podcast wherever you stream your podcasts for more of that!) She spends her time living - in a tiny home (250 sq ft), traveling with her daughter - speaking - on her podcast and on stages, and sharing candidly with other women how to find love after betrayal, to trust themselves, to speak up for themselves and set powerful boundaries. After a narcissistic and abusive romantic partner cheated on her with multiple women and left her (and the country) with significant unexpected bad debt and ruined credit, Candice was forced to rebuild her life, her credit and her trust in herself. Over the next few years Candice navigated the challenging world of foreclosure court, filing for financial proposals and divorce. During these times she adopted a minimalist lifestyle, leaned on her personal network and practiced radical personal forgiveness, acceptance and responsibility. The journey was not without its impact and Candice shares powerfully about dealing with anxiety, depression, shame and learning to let go. Now debt free, financially stable and in a safe committed relationship, Candice loves her minimalist lifestyle for the beauty and freedom it offers her. She knows the power of a good thrift store shop and loves her wardrobe! She has learned the power of saying no, listening to your own heart and speaks openly about subtle abuse as it occurs in relationships. She's become a voice for listening to your own truth and speaking it powerfully. She knows how to save money, make money online and in creative ways to balance the books as a single mom and yet live your biggest and best life. Candice can never resist the urge to take off her boots to walk barefoot into a clear mountain lake or stream. When she is not connecting or writing, she can be found disappearing into the backcountry trails of Canada with her life-love Mark and losing herself exploring waterfalls and mountain trails. She is a quiet introvert who adores eating clean foods and reading a great book. "Live as if your prayers have already been answered" -Tony Robbins What would happen to your life if you started living as if your prayers had already been answered? Would you be sleeping better? Eating better? Enjoying doing the things you love more? Connecting better to your other friends, family members, etc? That's the idea behind this quote. You can have all those things NOW. Often times we get caught up into the idea that if XYZ would happen THEN I would be ok. IF this person just got better, I would be better. We don't need to wait for the external things to fall into place. When the internal things fall into place, the external things follow. As the founder of the Igknight The King platform, Michael Diamond has a constant stream of men coming to him for guidance around purpose and fulfillment. Many of these men have achieved the traditional, societal definition of success but have found the destination hollow. Our current cultural norms neglect many fundamental truths, to the detriment of all. Here’s some of what you will learn: Don’t ever let success go to your head and don’t ever let failure go to your heart. Every successful person has failed, usually many times. Failure and success are not opposites, failure is a part of success because we learn from our failures. “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” – Thomas Edison "A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new." - Albert Einstein Failure doesn’t mean you’re done, it means you get to try again with a lot more experience. Don’t fear failure, be afraid of being at the same place instead of getting better or the incredible opportunities you will miss if you don’t attempt something. The only real failure is when you stop trying and give up. Mistakes, setbacks, and failures are all part of life, if they don’t happen to you – you will never learn or change. “Success is the ability to go from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm” – Winston Churchill Giving up on a goal because of a setback is like slashing your other three tires because you got a flat. "Hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny." - C.S. Lewis “I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan Don’t let the failure be a part of your identity, don’t let failure become part of your story or part of your identity – it disempowers you. Separate yourself from it so you can look at it objectively with curiosity and consider what you could have done differently, then stop focusing on it, don’t dwell. The worst result of a failure is when you allow it to become a part of your identity, never let that happen. It’s very important to move through your setbacks. “In the face of gratitude, fear flees.” – Tony Robbins What you focus on becomes your reality, choose wisely. You can choose to focus on your setbacks or the things you want, choose wisely. Surround yourself with peers that empower and uplift you. Make sure you have a great support system. Everyone that’s truly great at anything was once an amateur. Failure is part of your path to success and typically inevitable any time you try something outside of your comfort zone. Remember, every failure or setback is also bringing you one step closer to achieving your goals. Failure is the greatest teacher, it may not feel good when it happens but there’s always a silver lining. Larisa lost friends and family and was all alone in the world. She saw her sister, who had less, was happier than she was. Larisa reached out to a support group to help her find happiness. They recommended reading self help books. Each day, Larisa spent 30 minutes reading. Through this exercise, she not only discovered self love, she renewed her relationships with her family.
