We may not–yet–be able to address all the reasons there are not more women at the top of organizations, but we can address areas in which we have more control. We do have authority and agency over certain aspects of this current reality. So while we work toward systemic change, let's also work on the daily decisions we make and with whom we choose to surround ourselves. As we examine this together, I want to encourage us all to be bold in exploring our own beliefs about ourselves. Where might we be unknowingly limiting ourselves? How might we be unintentionally not advancing our leadership skills? How might we be unwittingly diminishing our presence, even within our own companies? There is a lot to consider, so let's dive deeply into it. “You don't owe anybody any version of yourself other than the one that's real. And we change. How is it that some people always seem to continue to progress and achieve more of the life they want?  It's because they know the truth about creating change, and they don't allow circumstances to hold them back from the lives they want. Today on The Bridge to Fulfillment Ⓡ, Blake shares some of the hidden barriers to progress that many high achievers experience when they seek change, but don't seem to move in the direction they say they want to go. In this episode, you'll learn the most common reasons people stay stuck, and the two biggest barriers to change. Blake shares a story of how she was tested when she sought a change in her career, and how she fought the fear and stepped into the unknown.  If you feel like you're at a crossroads in your life and you're ready for change, then it's important to know what to expect.  When the test comes…will you be ready?   What You'll Learn: One common misconception high achievers make (1:06) A personal story about making change happen, if it's what you really want (2:56) What to remember when circumstance don't seem ripe for change (6:15) The only two things that can actually slow your momentum (7:51) Keep this in mind when you're at a crossroads (8:40)   Favorite Quotes: When you're looking to make a change in your life,  recognize that challenges like a lack of time, these things will come. But you need to keep taking action despite them. Every time we get to that crossroads in our life and we say we want something, we will be tested. Those circumstances will show up to ask us ‘Do you really want it?' The longer you stay in the path you're misaligned with, the more and more risk you create. Some unfortunate circumstance or challenge will come your way to test you and say, ‘Are you willing to recognize that the fear is a lie, and step forward anyway?'   Additional Resources:  Rather than hoping the grass will be greener, identify what the RIGHT next step is. We can help you do just that.  Get clarity on where you are on your journey to career fulfillment, where you're headed, optional paths to get there, and the right next step to take.   Start your complimentary, Personalized Career Fulfillment Plan by going to www.thebridgetofulfillment.com/plan Want free resources to set your job search up for success? What if the decisions you're making today aren't leading you toward the life you truly want? One of the biggest mistakes people make when it comes to decision-making isn't making the wrong decisions. It's making them from the wrong perspective.  Growth comes from looking forward. So if you want to change something in your life or career, then the decisions you make today need to come from the person you want to be tomorrow.  Today on The Bridge to FulfillmentⓇ, Blake shares one of the biggest shifts that has enabled her to experience exponential growth in her life and career. By simply making decisions from the perspective of where she wanted to be rather than where she was, she saw her entire life change in only 5 short years.  In this episode, you'll hear about the importance of learning to accept the unknown. You'll learn why the limitations you think are holding you back are really just misconceptions that can be overcome by a simple change of perspective. You'll see how a single leap of faith can completely alter your life, leading you on a lifelong path of clarity and prosperity.  “Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse.” –Philip Yancey  What You'll Learn: • One of the biggest things you can do now to start to grow your career (1:59)
 • Why it's important to accept the unknown and have faith (3:17)
 • Misconceptions about your limitations that are holding you back (4:25)
 • How Blake has completely changed her life for the better in only 5 years (7:45)
 • How a single “right” decision leads to more of the right decisions (8:38)
Favorite Quotes: 1. In order to truly create quantum leaps in your life, you have to begin to understand the barriers in your way. And very often those barriers are internal.
 2. Growth comes from stepping into something that very often feels like fear.
 3. I used to live my life through this lens of ‘I need to have control of everything I need to plan it all, I need to know exactly what it's going to look like'. And I thought that's what made me successful. But I've now come to understand that it's actually what was holding me prisoner.
 4. Start making decisions from where you want to be, not where you are today.
Additional Resources:  Rather than hoping the grass will be greener, identify what the RIGHT next step is.  We can help you do just that.  Get clarity on where you are on your journey to career fulfillment, where you're headed, optional paths to get there, and the right next step to take. Are you living a life of impact? We all go through the motions of life, but how often do most of us really stop to think about whether or not we're living life to the fullest? Today on The Bridge to FulfillmentⓇ, Blake shares a very personal story about her friend,  Zachary Good, a young and talented man who lived 31 short years, but who had a massive ripple effect on everyone he encountered.  In this episode, you'll learn why some people often don't lead lives of purpose, preventing them from creating the impact that they could during their lifetime. She shares a question you can start to ask yourself that will help bring you closer to living life like it matters. You'll also hear the life lessons she learned from her friend, and an important reminder to always listen to your inner voice. Sometimes, it's the shortest encounters that have the biggest impact on our lives. What You'll Learn: • One question to ask yourself every day (1:46)
 • The story of Zachary Good (4:23)
 • Lessons from a life that made an impact (13:00)
 • Why listening to your inner voice is so important (14:09)
 • Showing compassion in difficult situations (15:06)
Favorite Quotes: 1. What I think matters is living a life of meaning and impact. And at the end of the day, to be able to enjoy life with the least amount of regrets possible, to feel like you were here and truly loved and made the impact that you were here to make.
 2. His journey had given people hope, had put them on the road to rehab, and had given them a level of compassion or joy that they hadn't had before. And I recognized and appreciated what the power of that really was.
 3. Most people die, having never lived their life. Don't be that person.
 4. It only takes one decision, one positive decision to change your life. Always leave room for a miracle.

Are you waiting for the RIGHT moment to make a change? When you start to think about how many “right” moments you've experienced in your life, you might begin to realize that perfect timing doesn't exist.  The longer you wait for “perfect”, the longer you're putting off creating the life you actually want.  Today on The Bridge to Fulfillment podcast, Blake shares a powerful shift you can make right now that will bring you the changes you seek sooner than you believed possible.  In this episode, you'll learn why leaning in to change, even in periods of chaos, is actually the key to success. You'll understand why perfect timing is an illusion, and that making changes and accomplishing achievements in ALL circumstances can actually happen at any time.  Stop believing that the only way you can be successful is by waiting for the right circumstances. The perfect time to create the changes you want in your life is NOW.  What You'll Learn: • One shift that will help you start achieving your goals sooner (1:38)
 • Why there's no such thing as perfect timing (2:35)
 • Taking action now and learning to expect the unexpected (3:33)
 • What happens when you stop expecting life to be perfect (6:28)
 • Removing the friction of excuses and imperfect circumstances (8:04)
Favorite Quotes: 1. If you can begin to understand the way you're looking at life, and you can begin to understand the patterns that are truly keeping you stuck from living the life you want, then you can take power to change them.
 2. With any two or three-month period of time, we will have some form of chaos brought into our lives. Whether it is sickness or death, an unexpected project, or a trip, or a health incident, we cannot control those things. But we can control how we react to them.
 3. In order to create the lives we want. We have to be willing to take action even when it's not perfect.
 4. Learning how to continue to make progress, despite whatever's going on, is the key to success.
 5. When you learn how to dance in the rain, you remove so much friction from your life. You stop looking at the excuses and the circumstances and you start getting really clear that everything depends on you.

Ever wonder why siblings fight (like all the time)? And more importantly, what to do about it?   Sibling fighting can be arguing, physically fighting, saying mean things to each other, shouting or bickering - any of that.    We're getting into it in this episode, and you might be surprised to learn that a lot of the “problem” isn't even about the fight. It's about how your kids' fighting makes you feel and what you make it mean.   Why Siblings FightWhile it may be unpleasant and stressful for you as a parent, Sibling conflict is TOTALLY NORMAL. In fact, it's actually healthy. Sibling relationships are one of the safest relationships to try out different things to see how relationships work.   I'm going through the top 5 reasons kids fight so you can start to see some patterns with your own kids.     The biggest culprits? Boredom, big feelings, resentment, habit…and boredom again. How to Handle Sibling ConflictSo what do you do when things start to escalate?   Our focus here is not just on the interaction happening between your kids, but how YOU interact with your kids when they fight.   When you intervene and solve the conflict for your kids, they are not learning how to think and solve conflicts on their own. So fighting becomes an easy way for them to get attention, entertainment and release their big feelings.    When you guide your children to think and solve their problems, fighting becomes something that requires effort FOR THEM.    I'll walk you through exactly what I mean and how you can show up as a guide (rather than a judge or referee) for your kids.   You'll Learn:One simple question to uncover your true thoughts about sibling conflict The top five reasons kids fight Your role in handling conflict between kids What to do and say when your kids are fighting  Connect With Me:Follow me on https://www.instagram.com/darlynnchildress/ (Instagram )@darlynnchildress or https://www.facebook.com/calmmamacoaching (Facebook )@calmmamacoaching  Join http://www.calmmamacoaching/school (Calm Mama School) https://www.calmmamacoaching.com/site/workwithme (Book a call)   Right now, we are headed into summer. We all grow at different paces and at different levels. Some of us know what we're supposed to do when we arrive on this planet and some of us take time ignoring that very “thing” until it becomes blatantly obvious.  We all have a plan while we're here and there are a few that do not require a “Plan B.”  Danny Galvez is an Emcee/Hype-man for Apex who works with entrepreneurs, CEOs, and investors from all walks of life. He is the Founder of Voice Your Life Media which helps those same business owners and authors create their podcasts and narrate their audiobooks for the world to hear.  Patrick and Danny had the pleasure of recording this episode in a brand new mobile podcast studio at the Trailer King Builders headquarters and they don't waste any time as they dive in as Danny shares his upbringing, some crippling experiences that helped him find his motivation and drive to constantly gas pedal his way to one focus…………creating a legacy for his family. Patrick and Danny discuss a pivotal moment in Patrick's life that led to defeat in one moment to the one opportunity he needed to change the trajectory of his life. Danny talks about the importance of being willing to say what you want out loud and then working towards it in faith.   What You'll Learn: One question Danny is bold enough to ask Knowing the true value of your worth and where to leverage and outline the true value of what it's going to cost to make that investment A different perspective on how you should view your employees and the impact you truly have on their lives Why it's important to narrate your own audiobook  How Danny started narrating audiobooks and the genres he auditioned for and landed opportunities The origins of Danny's family history and how far back he was able to trace it. One thing Danny loves to do more than ANYTHING in the world.   The $8 book that led to an opportunity that changed his life. The path that has led him to emcee, entertain, and introduce some of the most influential thought leaders in business An earth-shattering question he was asked at dinner one night and his honest answer   The biggest motivating factor tied to his drive that came from a negative experience in childhood And much more!     Favorite Quote: “Even if it's not spoken, it's going to show up in your life. You have to be willing to say what you want. If you like it, don't love it, it might bring you to tears.  It might make you angry, but you have to be willing to say what it is that you want.”  Danny Galvez    How To Get Involved:  Connect With Danny  Instagram    How to Get Involved: Patrick Bolanos is a serial entrepreneur, business owner, and CEO of Trailer King Builders in Houston, Texas. He was raised in Nicaragua, exposed to extreme poverty, and also had the fortune of being exposed to life in the United States traveling back and forth to both countries.  After college, Patrick's career took him into the corporate world of banking where he learned the important lessons of understanding what you're selling and why it's important to believe in it.  Back in December of 2017, Patrick was fired from his job as a CFO for a Restaurant Group.  With only $500 to his name, rent due, his wife, 3 children at home, and one on the way, he was forced to figure out how to pull his family out of this financial abyss that was strangling his life.  With no knowledge of how to build a trailer, Patrick simply figured all of it out and has now built it into the thriving empire of what's now become Trailer King Builders. This show highlights the failures, successes, lessons, and insights from Patrick and his guests. Bring your notepads and pens. How many 1-year-olds can say they conversed with 47 notable geniuses, fomented community, provided solace to at least dozens of friends and strangers, and emboldened others to take a creative plunge into unknown waters? You know a toddler like that?? Cool. We need to interview that kid. But seriously. The one-year-old I’m talking about is, of course, the RocketFeather podcast. And while we have had a blast building this first year, and only a few arguments, we could not have done it without you - the intrepid Rocketeers. You have been willing to go with us to the difficult places, the challenging places, the confusing, painful, weirdly joyful places. And it’s made all the difference, especially in the year of covid, for us not to have to make this journey alone. Sharing our fears and questions and solutions with our 47 amazing guests and with our brilliant and beautiful listeners has made the most challenging year - debatably - of our lives, not only tolerable, but full of meaning and real joy. So come with us on a walk through some of our favorite moments over the last year as we remember, make meaning, and plan for what’s next. One of the big themes of this podcast - the Rocketfeather podcast - is that we do the personal work in order to be in relationship, so we can be of service. This is how we have designed this walk down memory lane today. While most of our interviews touched on all three of these phases, we have grouped them according to where we remember having our minds blown and our hearts opened. This episode would be 14 hours long if we included every bit of goodness, so by necessity, we pared it down to the high points that struck us this week as we were assembling it, which was a delicious torture. It was like cutting up a gorgeous piece of velvet yardage - so hard to cut into when the whole thing is so stunning, but necessary to make the garment we wanted to make. So we hope you like what we made. Nobody ever promised that creativity was devoid of tough choices. In episode fifty-one of The Presentation Boss Podcast Kate and Thomas do another break down of a speech! Again they're looking at a TED Talk, this one Thomas heard on the TED Talks Daily Podcast. It is a valuable tool to listen to other presentations and think carefully about what other presenters do that you like and can emulate, or that you don't like and can leave alone. This talk covers a lot of content and we discover a great, short message tucked into this longer TED Talk. Kate and Thomas pause as the talk plays to uncover the presentation skills and techniques that are brilliant but also make pause about some actions that they feel aren't the most powerful use of time, words or physical delivery. This is though, an insightful talk about discovery of the story of human evolution from an expert in her field. What You'll Learn • One of the three strongest ways to open a speech; with a short story• How stance and posture can indicate tone and confidence of a presenter• A powerful use of PowerPoint slides to help reduce length of the speech but increasing audience comprehension• Why we need to make careful decisions about what to include and what to exclude from a presentation• Getting to the point of what you want to say• The emotional power of sharing personal stories• Being careful of assumed knowledge• Understanding what type of humour fits into your presentations• Whether or not to place your audience in your storiesMentioned In The Show • Ella Al-Shamahi | The fascinating (and dangerous) places scientists aren't exploringResources and Links • Email us: podcast@presentationboss.com.au• The Presentation Boss Podcast: https://presentationboss.com.au/podcast/• Kate on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/kate-norris/• Thomas on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/thomas-krafft/• Presentation Boss on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/presentationboss/• Presentation Boss on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/presentation-boss

Many church leaders think they’ve tried “missional community” before, and it failed. But actually… maybe they haven’t. Often, they’ve only tried more religion and new “DO to BE” activities with hipper language. That won’t get it done! This week on the Lifeschool Podcast, we look at the difference between talking a good missional game and really living in a community that is radically focused on discipleship as a lifestyle. In This Episode You’ll Learn: One of the most common reasons that missional communities fail. Why our best intentions at living on mission often turn into new “law”. The difference between religion and the gospel of grace. How to get the help to make authentic missional living a reality. (https://lifeschoolpodcast.captivate.fm/listen) (https://lifeschoolpodcast.captivate.fm/listen) From this episode: “Often folks that say they’ve tried to start missional communities actually only tried decentralized religious activities. They lay out a list of what folks are supposed to DO when they get together (all of this quickly becomes and feels like LAW), and they wonder why no one is that into it… and especially their not-yet believing friends who really want very little to do with these supposed new religious activities.”   Each week the Big 3 will give you immediate action steps to get you started. When I start talking about the different elements it takes to build a successful online business, other than using Facebook and Instagram ad strategies, I often get puzzled looks. I may be known for teaching how to successfully use ads to grow an online business and impact more people, but it took way more than just this for me to grow a thriving 7-figure business in less than 4 years.  On today’s episode I’ll be going into what it took, including things like building a team, positioning myself as an expert, creating and launching courses, memberships and in-person events, and a whole lot more. I’ll be looking at the mindset shifts I had to master, and essentially what it’s taken for me to become the actual CEO of my business. To create sustainable growth, it takes a more holistic strategy than most experts are using today. Yes, ads are important, but they’re really just one piece of the puzzle needed to get to that next level. So today I’m going to be sharing 7 key lessons that I’ve learned on the way to 7-figures, and regardless of where you are in your own business, I know that these lessons are going to be super helpful for you.  Before we start the show, I’ve got something to ask. How do you listen to this podcast? Is it in the iTunes app, Stitcher, Spotify or maybe iHeart Radio? Do you listen to it at regular speed, or maybe like me you listen to your podcasts at 1.5X speed? I want to know! Take a screenshot of you tuning in to The Art of Paid Traffic, and include it on your Instagram Story, while tagging me, @RickMulready!  Want to win a 30-minute strategy session with me? I’ll be drawing one winner at random each month, and all you have to do is give me your feedback on this podcast over at http://rickmulready.com/messenger, telling me what you’d like to hear more of - including topics you’d like to see covered, guests, style and frequency of the show!  On the Show Today You’ll Learn: One thing that all successful entrepreneurs have in common, and why I invested in this early on in my journey as an entrepreneur Why it doesn’t always pay to be the smartest person in the room… Three subconscious beliefs to remove from your thinking ASAP What taking imperfect action has done for my business each year The best way to continuously fuel the growth of your business What “climbing the value ladder” means, and why you should be doing this How I became obsessively curious about my ideal audience – and you can too!

Few people consider how to sustain their success because they're too busy trying to achieve it. Most leaders want to be the best people they can be and to lead with excellence. They want to thrive, and they want the people around them to thrive. They have the best of intentions. Success is inherently unstable. The skills it took to establish success cannot sustain it. A high-profile leader is surrounded by people who are hungry for the leader's success. They want him to succeed, and if the price for that is to overlook a few red flags here and there, so be it. The greater the success, the greater the danger. To deal the fatal blow to egotism, you must identify what you desire as the outcome of your life and leadership. You need to ask yourself: Are you striving to reach just another self-centered summit, or are you leading people and the organization you serve towards something higher? ...influence, more than intelligence, is the sign of the greatest leaders. Have you noticed that work is always present and, like fire, is never satisfied? The best way to build character is to define it, practice it, and defend it. Once you define your character so that you clearly understand it, you can practice it in everyday life and leadership. This increases your character competency and prepares you to defend it when you face the Enemy of Indulgence. We need to invite the right people into our lives and grant them permission to review who we are and how we live. When we choose our own accountability partners, we gain people we can trust, and that trust leads to greater vulnerability. To be vulnerable is to be open to correction and criticism. The self-deception of many leaders begins with the Enemy of Egotism. A leader believes "I really know what is best for me, my team, and this organization." Notice I say that he believes it, not that it is true. Yet herein lies the problem. Most leaders who enjoy rapid success experience a serious gap. Because success has come so quickly, and character is slower to develop than talents and abilities, their character is inevitably less developed than their talents. Yet, like all of us, they need character to sustain success. A leader in emergency mode is just trying to put out fires in his personal life. He is too tired to do things right and well, so he tries just to "get it done." This approach inevitably can't solve problems, breeds more Bad Habits, and merely fuels the leader's failure. You need to succeed, but in fact, we all need you to succeed.

............................. FULL TRANSCRIPT ............................. One principle that I often share with you is that the questions your ask yourself determine the quality of your life. I believe that where many individuals fail is to ask themselves the right questions in order to transform their life. Hi, I’m Pascale Gibon and this is episode 87 of the Everyday Life Balance Show. In today’s episode I am going to share with you the 3 key words question that could potentially transform your life and results.  I personally use these 3 key words question all the time. If you tend to cultivate a poor mindset with statements such as: I can’t do this, I can’t do that…. I want you to change it by asking yourself a more powerful question: Let me illustrate my argument with an example. if your dis-empowering question is: I can’t get my book completed you are obviously doubtful, unclear and dis-empowered.  However, if you are undoubtedly serious about changing your results and getting your book completed you must ask yourself this powerful question: How can I get my book completed? As such you harness your creative power. Your own power of creation enables you to create anything that you want in your life. These 3 key words question How can I…? opens up for you new windows of possibilities, new insights and new ideas to move forward in the direction that will help you grow. It is a fact that you can only change your results when you change your paradigms or the multitude of habits that keep you stuck. Therefore, from today onward I want you to adopt a new habit: Each time you catch yourself saying: "I can’t do this...", "I can’t do that..." change it by asking yourself the more powerful question I have just shared with you: "How can I do this?" When you do so you tap into your inner power of creation and manifestation. I hope that you enjoyed today’s episode as always remember now is your time to transform your life one step at a time. Senior Advisor Ben Nothnagel explains to journalist Reetta Räty the power of the question: Should I? He wants leaders to ask themselves: Should I be stressed? Should I be angry? Should I be irritated? Should I this, should I that.  “There is a difference between feeling stressed or busy and actually being really stressed and too busy”, he says. “The power of should I is that you know the answer to your problems yourself.” Ben Nothnagel also talks about the concept of the “your next move”, neuroscience, emotional awareness, chronic stress, and how to be smart angry.
