Trent went to high school is Shreveport, LA and stood out in high school enough to earn a scholarship to play for LA Tech. He now enters year 3 for the Cincinnati Bengals after spending 4 years in San Fran. He came into the 9ers organization the same year as Kittle, and trained with him for draft prep. The Cincinnati Bengals' championship window has tightened up just a bit after last weekend's AFC Championship game loss. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has said that his championship window is his entire career. That reflects the team's standard of not just reaching but winning the Super Bowl after coming up just short in last year's Super Bowl. But Sunday's loss to the Chiefs was an opportunity that was just within Cincinnati's reach. Like last year's Super Bowl, the Bengals were just a drive away from possibly defeating the Chiefs in near walk-off fashion with two timeouts and 2:30 left on the clock. That makes the loss much more frustrating and worth dwelling over what could've been for a team that was riding a 10-game win streak. Things only get harder for the Bengals internally and externally. On the outside, the AFC is just as competitive, if not more competitive, with the Chiefs, Bills and even the Jaguars among some of the few teams that came close to this year's Super Bowl who could be contenders next year. Furthermore, the Bengals will have some tough decisions to make with Burrow's potential contract extension looming. Depending on how that plays, that will affect how they go about with free agency. Tight end Hayden Hurst is the only offensive starter whose contract is expiring. Linebacker Germaine Pratt and veteran safeties Vonn Bell and Jessie Bates also have their contracts coming up too, presenting a challenge for the Bengals' defensive nucleus that helped them reach back-to-back AFC title games. Those are just some of the biggest names though headlining the Bengals' free agents. Cornerbacks Eli Apple and Tre Flowers are on that list, along with running back Samaje Perine, backup quarterback Brandon Allen, punt returner Trent Taylor and kickoff returner Trayveon Williams among the other tier of free agents to name a few. Does this mean the Bengals' championship window is closing in fast? How much room is left for the franchise to try and get back to the Super Bowl and deliver Cincinnati its first ever championship? The Cincinnati Bengals found a way to win against the Browns without some of their top playmakers. Wide receiver Tyler Boyd left the game after just two plays with a finger injury. His fellow playmaker, Tee Higgins, played just one snap before hamstring issues caught up to him and sidelined him the rest of the afternoon Sunday. That didn't stop Joe Burrow from targeting a star like Ja'Marr Chase or other backup receivers like Trenton Irwin and Trent Taylor who contributed on key scoring drives that made the difference in the Bengals' 23-10 win over Cleveland. Cincinnati's defense limited Cleveland to just 10 points mostly due in part to keeping Nick Chubb at just 2.4 yards per carry. Quarterback Deshaun Watson threw for 276 yards, but the Browns were 4-15 on 3rd downs on Sunday. Rookie cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt and linebacker Logan Wilson were some of the top tacklers and playmakers along with defensive tackle D.J. Trent Taylor experienced sexual abuse, neglect, and domestic violence during the first half of his childhood. He traveled a horrific journey through the foster care system until he was adopted at the age of 9. After healing from his traumatic past, Trent, who is now 21, has devoted his life to helping others overcome past trauma by providing hope. Trent, who could have easily become another statistic, became a published author after co-authoring his autobiography, "Shattered No More," about his time in foster care. Since that time, he has donated the proceeds of his book back to charity. In addition, he recently released his second book titled "Battling the Invisible Enemy" which was written for teens who have experienced trauma.Trent is also involved in foster care reform at the national level and hopes to positively impact the trajectory of the foster care system for the children and teens in care.He is currently pursuing his degree in clinical counseling and plans to become a trauma consultant, but has already studied trauma extensively through college coursework, outside training, and the Orphans and Vulnerable Children Essentials course through the Christian Alliance for Orphans. He is also a practitioner in Trust-Based Relational Intervention through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development. Alongside his mom, who is also a practitioner, Trent considers it a blessing to serve families by showing them the true healing that is found in God.Trent also serves as co-founder and CEO for Watch Me Rise, which is a ministry devoted to working on behalf of children who have experienced trauma as he once did. The first preseason game of the 2022 NFL season for the AFC Champions Cincinnati Bengals didn't go the way many may have thought. Trent traveled a horrific journey through the foster care system until he was adopted at the age of 9. After healing from his traumatic past, Trent, who is now 20, shares his inspiring story of triumph in order to provide hope and healing for others. He is involved in foster care reform at the national level. He also serves as Co-Founder and CEO for “Watch Me Rise” which is a ministry devoted to working on behalf of children who have experienced trauma like he once did. Trent is currently completing his undergraduate degree in family and human development at Arizona State University and plans to pursue a masters in clinical counseling.
