Virgina Prodan grew up in Communist Romania, watching her parents whisper behind closed doors about a government that took a little more from them every year. She decided as a kid she was going to become a lawyer and find the truth.She did. Top ten percent of her class, using a forgotten law book she found in a library to get Christian prisoners out of jail. Then the dictator took notice. He sent a man to her office with a gun, told her she wouldn't listen, and said he was there to end that.She shared the gospel with him instead. He put the gun down and walked out. Years later, Reagan helped get her family out of Romania. Welcome to Courageous Leadership with Virginia Prodan #Podcast with our guest - Chad Hennings Chad Hennings is - Three-time Super Bowl champion, Air Force veteran, business leader, Author. Chad Hennings' successes began long before his professional football career. An accomplished lineman in high school, Hennings was offered full scholarships from universities across the nation. Instead, he chose to attend the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he racked up numerous honors academically and on the gridiron. Hennings' exemplary achievements put him at the top of many draft lists and earned him a spot on the Dallas Cowboys' roster, but Hennings postponed his entry into the National Football League to fulfill his commitment to the U.S. Air Force. He entered the Euro-NATO program, a training program for top pilots, and soon found himself at the controls of the A-10 Thunderbolt. During his four-year stint with the Air Force, Hennings flew 45 missions in support of Operation Provide Comfort in northern Iraq, an effort that helped provide relief and humanitarian aid to Kurdish refugees. He received two aerial achievement medals, a humanitarian award and an outstanding unit award for his actions in the service. After his discharge, Hennings joined the Dallas Cowboys, quickly earning a starting position as a defensive lineman. He spent his entire 9-year professional football career with the Cowboys, retiring in 2001 with three Super Bowl rings. Since his retirement from the NFL, Hennings has found success as a commercial real estate professional, management consultant and motivational speaker. He established Wingmen Ministries, a Christian men's group, in Dallas-Fort Worth and is active in community affairs, including work with veterans' organizations, at risk kids, and families who are struggling to make ends meet. You've been looking in the wrong places." — Virginia Prodan What would you do if a man came to your office, waited for your assistant to leave, drew a gun, and told you he was there to kill you? Virginia Prodan's answer — share the gospel — is either the most audacious act of faith you have ever heard of, or the most inexplicable. Probably both. Virginia grew up in socialist Romania under Ceaușescu, watching her parents comply in public and whisper dissent at home. She chose a different path: law school, then a legal practice that put her in front of judges defending persecuted Christians, armed with human rights laws she found in a library that the regime never expected anyone to use. Western government representatives sat behind her in those courtrooms, unknown to her, sending her name and her arguments back to their countries. Voice of America broadcast her story across the Berlin Wall. When the dictator had enough, he sent a member of his secret police to finish it. Virginia shared the gospel. The man put the gun down and accepted Christ. President Ronald Reagan called Ceaușescu personally and negotiated her release from Romania. She arrived in America as a single mother, barely speaking English, with three young children. She earned a law degree from SMU, opened her own firm, and wrote the memoir Saving My Assassin — including a chapter written by the man who came to her office with a gun, who twenty years later tracked her down in Dallas to tell her he had become a pastor. Welcome to Courageous Leadership with Virginia Prodan #Podcast. Today - Dr. John Reese - CEO of Quanta - is our guest Dr. John E. Reese, III grew up in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from The Citadel, The Military College of SC, in 1984, where he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force before attending dental school. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the Medical University of SC in 1988, after which he had a 4- year assignment as a staff general dentist in one of the largest teaching hospitals in the US Air Force. There he received extensive training in all specialty areas of dentistry, including frequent operating room training. In 1992, he started a health centered private practice in Rock Hill, SC where he focused on comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry, including full mouth reconstruction and TMJ therapy.  In 2001, he started Dental Access Carolina, LLC where he used his skills to provide high quality comprehensive dentistry to economically disadvantaged children on site at their schools in mobile clinics he designed. They currently operate in 15 counties in SC and treat almost 25,000 students each school year. They take a free enterprise approach to a public health problem where everyone wins, and where the highest quality care is provided to those who can least afford it. Because of the success of his program, it has been recognized nationally as the model for mobile dentistry by the Academy of General Dentistry. He now has a minority interest in the practice he started.   Dr. Reese also provides consulting advice on general practice management. In 2002, Dr. Reese began manufacturing and marketing mobile dental clinics and temporary dental offices which are sold and used internationally. In 2008, he created Dental Access Mobile Clinics, LLC as a separate entity and his clinics have also been used as adjunct teaching facilities by the Medical University of SC for their dental students, where he was an adjunct clinical instructor. Dr. Reese and his wife frequently volunteer with and provide significant financial support to organizations that provide dental and medical care to patients both here and abroad, and they teach clinical techniques to dentists around the world.  They also donate very generously to many conservative organizations. They are very actively engaged in helping organizations communicate their message to allow citizens to be involved in the decisions which affect their lives every day. Outside of his medical and dental entrepreneurial interests, he has a passion for preserving the fabric of the American society that he has enjoyed during his lifetime that made America the greatest country on earth.
