As the one-year anniversary of Ukraine's war with Russia approached this week, President Biden made a surprise visit to Ukraine, and gave a rousing speech in Warsaw, doubling down on America's commitment to supporting Ukraine. The same day, President Putin gave his State of the Nation speech in Moscow, promising to double down on Russia's attacks on Ukraine with fresh troops and a new major offensive/ But this war may soon become more complicated still, because according to our Secretary of State Antony Blinken China is considering providing arms to Russia, and China's leader Xi Jinping is preparing to visit Moscow for a summit with Putin soon. As all of this fast-developing news comes at us against the backdrop of the slow grind of this war, and the inescapable realization is that this may be a long war. And as Russia pummels Ukrainian cities, civilians and infrastructure, the realization is setting in that far from decisive battles, this may become a war of attrition! Clearly, Mr. Putin believes that he can bring Ukraine to its knees by basically attrition warfare. In this episode, you'll discover that, historically speaking, he is not alone - many autocracies and democracies engaged in attrition warfare with similar beliefs. Their successes and failures all depended on how they choreographed their resources, politics, peoples, and combined arms warfare. But when does an armed conflict transition from decisive strategies and swift battles into long-drawn wars, in which attrition becomes the strategy? Has human history experienced more decisive wars or more wars of attrition? What is a prime example of attrition warfare? And what military strategies have had to be adopted for these long, grinding wars - these wars of attrition? To better understand attrition warfare, I spoke with Dr. Sebastian Lukasik, a professor in the Department of Leadership and Research Development at Air Command and Staff College, in Air University, which is a professional military education university system of the United States Air Force, where Dr. Lukasik is the director of the ACSC In-Residence Electives Program. In this episode, Matthew discusses his love for breakfast burritos and the economics of price controls. If a price control were to be installed for breakfast burritos to share with poor people, even the rich will have to say goodbye to their beloved breakfast food wrapped in flour tortillas as the resources will be allocated to produce something more profitable like scrambled eggs or omelettes.  Matthew goes on to discuss how the National Socialists in post 1936 (Nazi Germany), enacted rigorous regulations in the economy on prices and wages that created an illusionary capitalistic economy. However, this form of heavy government regulation that is known to be Fascism, is another form of socialism, where the means of production and capital are privately owned in description, but the government determines who can sell what to whom at which prices. This form of economics was responsible for the destruction of Germany in WWI (the Hindenburg plan) & also in Britain in WWI & WWII. Winston Churchill brought socialism to Britain, not the postwar Labour Government.  Examples of some price controls are water, gasoline, food, rent control, tariffs, & minimum wage.  What is the most important note to understand about government interventions in the economy or "Interventionism", is the fact that with each intervention, a distortion (or a few) occur as a result. To correct for the newly created distortions in the economy, the government will impose more interventions and regulations as to cover the holes in the leaking bag with objects that can only create more holes. As the government's short-sightedness cannot realize; for every intervention they enact as to assist the economy, they produce a multitude of distortions. Ultimately, the misallocation of society's scarce resources fall on the responsibility of the government, profit motivated entrepreneurs are tasked with the obligation of transforming resources into products demanded by consumers, if the government assists in this process then they will only make things much worse so there is no place for the government involvement anywhere near the complexity of human collaboration.

They met in the weight room of the base gym and would build their friendship over the common bond of lifting weights. As duty goes, they would end up stationed apart and lose contact. But Western countries need to consider the possible consequences of a chaotic end to the Putin system." This is a pretty backwards, yet blatantly clear way to say that they want to remove Putin and install someone who is friendly to the agenda of the globalist.  Here is one of the stated objectives listed in the summary of the document.  "To prepare for the complications and opportunities that will inevitably be presented by an eventual change of leadership in Russia." Sounds to me like they're assuming the existing Russian government is going to collapse. What do they assume the cause might be? You be the judge.  Here is another one of their stated objectives.  "Not to isolate the Russian people. It is not in the Western interest to help Putin cut them off from the outside world." This sounds like intent to assimilate the public into a world government system. It's like invading a country that you plan on becoming the ruler of. To more easily win the people, whose homes and way of life you're about to plunder and destroy, to the values you intend to force upon them after the invasion and take over, go easy on them during the destruction.
