Zodwa Mabusela works for Khululeka, the only organisation in South Africa focused on children's grief. In this episode, she explains why it's often difficult to help children in their grief, and what we can do about it. She shares her experience of working in some of our poorest communities, and what all children go through when it comes to death and loss of a loved one, regardless of your circumstances. Zodwa also shares - with great courage and candour - the story of the loss of her own daughter, and how she has dealt with her own grief, using this experience to strengthen the vital work she does.

What may seem like taboo in traditional constructs where conduct is concerned, to dancer and reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu it is just a job. Zodwa, who has openly accepted her ancestral calling, recently sparked debate after a video clip of her dancing at a gig with her beads on made the rounds. Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Zodwa said as long as she is appeasing them (ancestors), she is OK, adding she wont take off her beads because of the job.“Anything I do it is taboo, it is extra.” Zodwa said she believes the work she does is not in any way hindering her calling.
Poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai was one of many who expressed her dismay at a video clip of dancer and reality TV star Zodwa Wabantu dancing at a gig with her traditional beads on. Zodwa has openly accepted and embraced her ancestral calling and has taken to social media to share every step of her journey. TshisaLIVE caught up with Ntsiki, who said seeing video images like that of somebody who has taken a spiritual covenant should spark an uproar. According to Ntsiki, those who brought African spirtuality into disrepute should be fined.
