The one and only Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) comes up with another assist as he shares a wonderful & powerful post that made a tremendous connection with me as soon as I read it. It said: “Worrying is carrying tomorrow's load with today's strength - carrying two days at once. It is moving into tomorrow ahead of time. Worrying doesn't empty tomorrow of its sorrow, it empties today of its strength.” - Corrie ten Boom. Talk about being right on target and yes, again, something I need to continue to work on - stop worrying so much. It does indeed rob us of today! Thanks for listening. This difference-making guy keeps putting great thoughts out there. The guy, is Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) and the question he is sharing is - “What can we learn from this?” The “this” is everything going on in our lives! This got me to post this about what he shared: Coach John Daly (@coachtosuccess) “Life always presents moments of learning…” I'm trying to remind myself lately and quite frankly, I need to do this every single day, what are the lessons in those moments where I feel down, negative on myself, etc. I'm working very hard to continue to not stay in those “down” moments - which can be many in today's world, and I want to pull myself out of those moments sooner in order to get better and keep learning. This is a powerful mindset to have in our tool belt each and every day!! Thanks for listening. Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) seems like he's always been helping others with his life story, his examples, his reflections, etc., and Mac Stephens (@MacStephens) is frequently helping to get Inky's lessons out for others to see and reflect on. I found this one and again, it seemed like it was a directed for me to pick up so I can keep working on myself. “Growth comes when you change your habits,” was the quote from Inky and I shared his thoughts on this too. I hope this helps you too. Thanks for listening. Ownership Mindset: Taking Full Responsibility for Your Growth challenges listeners to shift from blame to ownership—because real growth begins when excuses end. In this episode, we unpack what it means to take full responsibility for your progress, leadership, and life direction.Through the incredible story of Inky Johnson—who was eight games away from the NFL before a life-altering injury paralyzed his right arm—we explore how radical ownership isn't about pretending life is fair, but about choosing how to respond when it isn't. Inky's mindset, summed up in his words “Redirection, pain, setbacks, shortcomings, highs, lows—they are all part of the process of success. Embrace it, respect it, and trust it” becomes the foundation for a deeper call to lead ourselves well. The episode concludes with practical ways to implement the ownership mindset in everyday life, reminding us that the power to change lies in the willingness to own what's ours. This episode will speak to anyone feeling stuck, frustrated, or ready to step into the next level of their leadership journey. Thank you for joining us on this insightful journey! Had to share this important reminder for all of us, because all of us come across feeling like this many times throughout life. Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) gives us some things to connect with this statement: “A champion is made on the other side of I don't feel like it.” I think it's important to remind ourselves that we need to define what being a champion means to ourselves, and not really have to follow other people's definition. We also need to realize the importance of having that definition to work on for ourselves too. One thing for sure, there are always things to work on ourselves - that's what makes our life journey so great (just one of many things), we always have something to do towards helping ourselves become the person we were meant to be!
