In this episode, Nick Hardwick shares his personal experience in the world of fitness and how the idea of achieving failure is critical to growth and development. Nick Hardwick encourages listeners to push themselves outside their comfort zones and find ways to put themselves in situations that they are not fit for yet. By failing frequently and pushing through obstacles, one can achieve their greatest success. Nick gives examples of how this concept can be applied to other areas of life, such as becoming a CEO. He emphasizes the importance of being reflective and honest with oneself and recognizing that the closer you get to your potential, the smaller the gains will be. In this podcast episode we discuss: The concept of "achieving failure" as a means of achieving success The importance of putting yourself in situations where you're not initially fit to grow and improve Using the weight room as an example of the need to reach failure in order to see progress The idea that failures are often necessary lessons on the path to success, and how failures can be viewed as a sign of growth The fact that even as you get closer to your potential, there are always areas to improve upon An example of a client who recognized where they could make improvements in their diet and planning for better progress.

On this episode of #HardwickLife, we are joined by Shawn Finnegan, creator of Anchor Gym About Shawn: Shawn Finnegan is the creator of the Anchor GymAs a former US navy/marine corps field medic and cancer survivor, I can say that the creation of the anchor gym was forged out of necessity and survival. After exiting the military, Shawn became a licensed Physical Therapist and a Fitness/Nutrition coach. Unfortunately for him, and fortunate for us, he couldn't find a fitness system that could anchor all of the accessories I used for my patients, my clients, or even himself. Rather than settle for less, he decided to invent one! The Anchor Gym is a system that I have been using for nearly a year, consistently 3-4 times a week, and have been getting great results. You guys know. I don't promote things I don't use. My criteria for promoting anything is… It has to be effective It has to be efficient It has to be practical for me It has to be attainable to most of you It has to be affordable As many of you who have been following me for a while know, I used to promote another resistance band fitness system. While it was very high quality, it also had a very high price tag and practically it had some limitations. I sought out something that checked out more of my boxes and stumbled onto the Anchor Gym. After using it for a while, I reached out to Shawn to see if I could have him on the podcast to get his story and the story of the product. So, here we go.
