On this week's episode, we have a social media centered conversation! As something we all have had experience with that one time or another, (specifically within the last 10-15 years or so) we thought it was important to talk about this topic at length. We share feedback from our followers on how social media affects their confidence, the thought spirals that we fall into ourselves with certain apps and how to help the issues that can arise from it all. Enjoy! This week's episode is on something we've never chatted about at length on the podcast, coffee! After the weekly debrief and pet name share, Savannah talks about the process of how coffee is planted, harvested and how it gets to us! Emily then gives us some insight into the relationship between sustainability and coffee as a commodity. We chat about how consuming coffee can be more ethical and better for the environment with small changes in consumption habits. Ending off with a bit about fair trade and some coffee related trivia, this episode is nice and well rounded! Our first ever documentary break down episode! This week we're going deep with the Netflix documentary, Seaspiracy. We had lots of thoughts behind the ocean centered documentary that was created to bring awareness to the harms of the fishing industry in many different sectors. We discuss aspects of it that seemed a bit *fishy,* disclose our honest opinions on the tactics used to convey a one sided message, what is perceived as harmful from this piece of visual film according to experts and more. If you watch this documentary, be warned that there is on-going animal death, slaughter and there are no warnings during the whole documentary. This is not an enjoyable viewing experience and please be aware that it is incredibly triggering for practically the entirety of it.
