• We're always a work in progress and that's okay, right? I'm not perfect. Most times I catch myself and I'm thinking, oh my gosh, I've got this underlining belief and wow. But the difference is now I know some of the tools that I need to do to clear up the disharmony. Like I can move forward. I can recognize that in myself and say, okay, all right, Kristi, that was a great realization, but you know what? You have a choice. I mean, you're never stuck. You're not a tree, right? Jim Rohn. You're not stuck. You're not a tree. You don't like where you are. Change it. You're not stuck. You're not a tree. You don't like your relationship, change it. If you don't like the money that you're making right now, change it. If you don't like the job, change it. You don't like the house, change it. You are the creator of your reality and what you think about, you bring about. (04:27)• It was as though everything and everybody responded to her words of praise. People started showing up differently. They started treating her differently. New supply began to pour into her through gifts as increased income and as materials needed to add another room to her house. And within a short time, the room had been completely debt-free, debt-free. In fact, she personally did most of the work. She has used this as a meditation room ever since. She said it all began the day she started to thank and praise, give thanks, do thanksgiving for the good that she already had through positive affirmations, through positive words. So it's just a reminder every day in this time, all the time, as much as you can, instead of feeling like you're trying or you haven't arrived, take a step back and give thanks for everything you have. (06:58)• But that was because I decided, you know what, I didn't like exactly where I was in my life, there had to be something else out there. I didn't know what it was, but I knew that I wanted a different way. I knew that I wanted a different type of income. I knew that I wanted to be able to live a freedom-based life. I can work from anywhere. I can do this business from anywhere. I knew that I wanted to help a lot of people know their worth and step into the person that God created them to be. And using hair products that make you feel better and more confident, that's a big deal. That's a really big deal. I have so many people that reach out to me and say, you know, thank you so much for sharing these products with me, I wasn't confident in my own skin. Now my face is clearer. I feel younger. My hair looks better. I was able to take out my extensions. You know, all these types of things. And so, it's like these messages I get all the time, and it's just being able to like dream bigger. (11:26)• So you want more good in your life, more goodness, more blessings? You have to be that blessing. You have to be living in gratitude. You have to see everything as abundant. And you know what? Let me just say this, you may have a day where you don't feel like it and it's okay, don't beat up on yourself. Okay? It's okay to have that day. It's okay to fill those emotions. Know that it's coming up for a reason. Get your journal out. Start journaling, work through those emotions. But you know what? You have a choice. You don't have to stay there. You don't have to stay there. Staying stuck is a choice. Staying stuck is a mindset. You can choose to think differently. And one of the best ways to get out of a funk is to start thinking about everything that you're already thankful and grateful for, everything that you do have. Everything that you do have, my friend, because I'm sure you can find good in what you already have. There has to be some good, right? You can find some good in every day. Focus on that. Focus on that. Your life will change. • So, when you're born, I'm going to go right back to the birth, okay? When you're born, let's just pretend that your mind is a circle. We don't, it's abstract, it's metaphysical, but the mind, not the brain. We'll just pretend it's a circle. When you're born, so just picture a circle, all you're born with is the fear of loud noises and the fear of falling. Those are the only two biological fears you have. And then of course you have the lizard brain, which is the fight or flight freeze and all of that stuff. So, when you're a child and you're just growing up, your mind is, this is why they say kids are sponges, right? They just take in everything because they don't really have a filter of what's true and what isn't, what's reality and what isn't and what's fantasy. And that's why they're so connected with their imagination. Anything's possible, right? And that is exactly what's happening. You really do have no distinction between what is true and what isn't. So during that time, they say between the ages of like zero to seven or eight, sometimes even nine, we'll just say nine to give it a nice container of time. But around age nine, you get what's called the critical filter or the critical mind, which acts essentially as a filter between the conscious and the subconscious. (02:05)• This is a big, big example. But if your parent always said, you know, money doesn't grow on trees. What do you think we can afford everything? We're not made of money kind of thing. You have to work hard for it. Well, guess what? Of course you're always going to have to work hard for it. You're going to think it's hard and it's unattainable. Same thing with love. Same thing with success. Same thing with anything. You have a terrible breakup. Your subconscious is like swear off all relationships, right? Or, attract the same relationship over and over again, because there's something there that needs to be healed. And there's something there that needs to be looked at and examined and acknowledged, you know? Yeah. So I'm saying a lot of things, but basically the way that's that we get limiting beliefs, big basic, basic, basic is that a ground zero of love and, you know, misguided help. It has good intentions. It really just wants to keep you safe. Your subconscious mind's one directive is to keep you alive, keep you breathing, keep you chugging along now, happy, fulfilled, successful, you know, loved. (06:05)• Well, I like to make it as simple as possible. So if you've ever started something and didn't finish it, even though you really wanted to finish it, there's probably a limiting belief. If your life right now isn't reflective of what you journal about and what your affirmations are and what you're trying to manifest right now, then there's probably a limiting belief in there. It's not always a huge one. It can just be a simple one. It can just be a little one, but it is enough. I mean, you're saying you're talking about 95% of your mind saying, no, no, you can't because whatever the reason is, no, you can't lose weight because you know, when you were 15 and skinny, someone hit on you and it was uncomfortable, you know, whatever. I've heard so many reasons or reasons, big quotes on reasons in the subconscious for, for you not to have what you truly consciously desire, all desires and goals and wants must start in the conscious. You get an idea in the conscious, it checks in with your subconscious mind. And if there's anything in the subconscious that's like, no, that's not safe, it's cool, we'll stay right where we are. Then it's just not happening because you have 95% going up against five. Yeah. And it's not to say that people don't do stuff, like it's not to say it's impossible, but I like to use this kind of imagery here. If you're trying to change a subconscious belief consciously, it's like chopping down a tree vertically, right? You'll get there eventually. You'll, make it happen. Your 5% is not zero, right? But it's going to be painful. It's way more difficult than it needs to be. (10:35)• Invite gratefulness, invite more ways to witness gratitude in your life. That is a good affirmation that I use for a lot of people who just don't know where to start, you know, I am opening to recognize. I recognize all the ways that my life is beautiful. And you'll start to... That's a training of your brain and you start to notice around you like, Oh, I never noticed that before, my grass is really green in my yard. That was a metaphor, and also you can take it literally because I am obsessed with my grass. I love that. My grass is really green in my yard. That's so good. Grass is so green in my yard guys. But anything, you know, do you have food in your fridge? And that's a big one for me, and I know it's kind of like cliché and it's a throwaway one for some people but I did not grow up with a lot of money, I grew up making like the weirdest combinations of whatever we had in our kitchen because I we just didn't we didn't have a lot. So the fact that I can make my kids meals regularly is crazy and everybody's going to have the their own different like little things like that, but find what it is for you. Here's a really good question you can ask yourself and I think everyone can answer this one and start to invite a little more gratitude. Just say what is one thing you have in your life today that you at one point thought you'd never have or felt impossible? One thing you have in your life today that at one point seemed like, too good to be true. Everybody has one. I just got goosebumps. I just felt all of you answer it. • It's so interesting out of all of the books that I've read, and I was going through my office the other day and I was like, Wow, I really have a lot of books. I have a lot of books, and I've read a lot, and not only do I have paper backs, but I also have Kindle too... And I thought about this, I'm like, out of all these books, pretty much every single one, one of the common denominators of every single one of these books, is talking about how to live a more joyful life, how to manifest what you desire, how to get vibrational harmony with that which you wish to manifest, how to increase love, all the things. Even how to get to a healthy weight. Really, it is to appreciate what you have now. Is to be in gratitude. Is to not constantly look at the next thing that you have to tackle and the next thing and the next thing, just like the episode 101 Podcast with Brianne, she talked about living a treadmill life, just going from the next goal to the next goal to the next goal without stopping and really appreciating what she already had. And the common denominator of pretty much all these books that I've read is the same thing, they always talk about gratitude, they always talk about how important it is to be grateful. To think... And not only just think about all the blessings and riches that you already have, but to really feel into them. Stop and just take a moment and think, Wow, look at this house that I have, look at this roof over my head, look at the food in my fridge, the running water, the shoes on my feet, the clothes on my back, the car I'm driving, my cellphone, electricity. There's so many things to be grateful for. (13:14)• So stopping and taking an appreciation for what you do have in your life is so, so powerful. And I want to encourage you that, hopefully you're doing this, because I've talked about this on previous episodes about, before your feet hit the ground, think of three things that you're grateful and thankful for. But if you got out of the habit, I want to encourage you to start doing that again every single day in the month of November. And if you have been doing that everyday and that has become a normal daily habit for you, go up it to thinking of 10 things. So getting in the habit. Before you hit the ground of thinking of at least three things that you are thankful and grateful for, that's going to set the tone for your day, that's going to set the emotion... The feeling for the day, right? And I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for listening to this podcast. Thank you for sharing this podcast. Thank you for implementing the tools that I've shared because, my wish, my dream, my goal for you is to live a life that you enjoy waking up to. And if there's something in your life that you desire to have... To know the tools, to be able to feel supported to manifest what you desire, to clear any of the junk, to clear any blocks, anything that's standing in your way, so that you can show up fully and really, really live how you want to live. (07:04)• If you think that somebody else's success is not possible for you, my friend, that's only because you would believe... You would have to believe, have to believe, that God plays favorites. That's the only way... You would have to believe that God plays favorites. And if you don't believe in that, then you know that somebody else's success can be yours too. It absolutely can. So I really try to energy clear if I hear anything like that, I'm like, Nope, cancel, cancel, cancel, cancel. Because I don't want to allow that to affect my energy. It's just like this business man was saying, people walk around complaining, complaining, complaining, but he was still prospering. It's just like the book, Think and Grow Rich with Napoleon Hill, he talks about people in the Great Depression still prospering. We can have a poor mindset, we can have a rich mindset, we can be innovative. We can say, Hey, things are changing. But what could I do to be on the cutting edge? How could this help me grow? What could I do instead? How can I learn? How could I do things differently? Instead of saying, Oh, whoa, is me. Everything's expensive. Everybody else is feeling this way. I guess it's just not in the cards for me, I guess I'm just not meant to be successful, you know... Everybody hates their job. Everybody hates their life. Complaining is normal, right? Make complaining, abnormal. That's what we need to do. (11:56)• You are worthy and deserving. You are enough, I mean, that can change the world, that can change that person's life. So, maybe thinking this month, like getting out of your comfort zone, expanding your goals, expanding your dreams, expanding your volunteering, expanding your new support to others, expanding maybe how you show up, letting people know more about how much you appreciate them, how grateful you are for them, giving people compliments, spending this month just being the best version of you that you can be possible. And I think that waking up every morning with a grateful and thankful heart can set the tone for that day. So I'm going to end it with this quote that I love by Katherine Ponder. I saw this and I just love her quotes, they're amazing. Okay, and it says, "Divine substance cannot be withheld. For me now, divine substance cannot be taken from me now. Divine substance manifest as money, money, money, and as rich appropriate supply in my financial affairs now. Divine substance is the one and only reality in every phase of my life, and I thrive now." Drop the mic. Boom!!! What do you think about that? • Because we coach and train our team on law of attraction, on how to get your mind right, how to get your energy right, your state right before you take action in your business, which like we talked about before. I mean, if you take action from a place of not feeling confident, of not feeling like things could happen, of not feeling like your dreams are possible, that your business could grow or you can't make the money that you desire, then you're going to have a totally different outcome than when you take action from a place of belief, from a place of excitement, from a place of curiosity, to a place of... What if this happened? Right? (02:06)• But basically it says How Emotional Freedom Techniques, EFT, which is what I call tapping, can help you clear the path to making more money. And it breaks it all down, the mind-body connection to money. Our earliest memory of money. Which is your money paradigm? How you really feel about money. It uncovers any traumas around money, and I also like this one chapter, it says breaking the cycle of always striving. So if you ever feel like you're always striving but you're never arriving, it can be some subconscious limiting beliefs in there. And so she really helps you to uncover anything holding you back. (04:19)• For so many years that kept me broke, stuck and unhappy and a lot of weight on my shoulders, thinking I had to do it all. Gosh, that's a lot of responsibility, right? And even recognizing that in myself, even today, even through all the practices and all of the studying and the tools I've used on myself, to realize that sometimes those patterns still try to come through where I'm like, I'll just do it, I'll just take care of it. If I want something, I need to do it and not lean back and allow other people to support me. So that's something that I've really worked through and continue to work through, is just having that mantra and being open to being a great receiver. And then we have that mantra at the beginning of the podcast, you know I'm receiving now? I find myself really, really favoring mantras that talk about receiving, because I feel like that was my vow. I think there's a lot of people in the world that have unconsciously taken that vow and they're working so hard, so many hours, overwhelmed, burnout, trying to manifest things, trying to reach that goal, or just trying to survive the day, and not realizing that life could be easier if they would just lean back and learn how to receive. (07:52)• And then on this journey called life and these bumps in the roads, that's just allowing our soul to grow, that's just giving us that soul growth and teaching moment, and it can be beautiful. It's just in really how you look at it, you know? That's why I like to say you never fail, it's just an opportunity to learn and grow. Right? But I have been doing one of Margaret Lynch's tapping pretty much every day. And then, reading the book and we're discussing it on the book club. So hey, you may want to check out this book, it's really incredible, and I'm really enjoying doing her tapping's and diving into this book. • And so for me, it was like a bit of a rewire that needed to happen so that I can start to feel my own definition of success. So redefining what success meant for me was all about understanding who I am, what I want, and starting to make choices to live by that. So that was sort of a huge pivotal moment in my life where I realized there is more, and it's not just about collecting a bunch of stuff, it's about living a meaningful life. And so from that moment on, I made it my mission to really understand how do we get there, how do we get to this place of living a more joyous life in the moment. I started to kind of reflect on people that I was leading in the organization I was at, and people that I was coaching all over the world, and I was starting to see sort of a pattern emerge. So many of us were living in the same place where we're defining success based on the outside, and it created this sort of what I call TGIF mentality. (03:12)• So that is the solution that I was after, after I had this sort of life epiphany. I started interviewing people all over the world, I started sort of trying to uncover what are the factors that go into our joy today? How do we create a TGI today life instead of living this TGIF life. And that is where the TGIToday formula was born, and this is the formula that's in my book, planning your TGIToday, and it is all about helping us get to this place of happiness today. So I would love to share that with you. So listeners, grab your pens, the TGIToday formula is Purpose plus People, plus Pace, and it all sits on a foundation of the power of Choice. So when we look at our purpose, what we're here on earth to achieve, if something's not lining up for us and we have the choice to do something different with the people. So if we want to live a more joyous life, we really need to be surrounding ourselves with people that are going to lift this up, propel us towards our goals. If that is not working for us, then we're being dragged down by certain people, we have a choice. And then finally pace, a huge one for so many of us, so many of us are just feeling exhausted by the pace of life. So if it's not working for you, you have the power of choice to do something different. (06:27)• So this for me was sort of the saying that kind of triggered me to do a bit of a life inventory on the beach that day, and pura vida is all about living that pure life. The Costa Ricans, they don't strive to collect a whole bunch of stuff, they literally live in the moment, a moment by moment, and they are so happy it's contagious. And they don't worry about, Oh my gosh, I need to have a million dollars in my bank account. They literally trade like a mango for something else they need from a neighbor, and they're truly happy because they're connecting with people and they're just living what they call this pure life. And for me, it was such a huge kind of smack on the head to go, What the hell am I doing with my life? Why am I so worried about? Just advancing, advancing, advancing. I think I had... In my corporate tenure of 18 years, I had 10 different jobs, I was literally jumping to the next job within 18 months to two years because I was like, Oh my gosh, I got a climb, climb, climb...Achieve, achieve, achieve. And it was the moment when I saw this saying here, pura vida, and it just really shifted everything for me. (13:24)• Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you asked because I have to say, Wayne Dyer is like my guru. I don't know if you know Wayne, I love Wayne. I know he's not here with us. Right? He's so good! So he passed in 2014, but he has had such a significant impact on my life. And the quote that I love from him is, 'When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change'. Power house quote! It all goes back to that power of choice. So if we choose to be a victim of our circumstances and feel like we have no control over our life in our day, guess what? That's going to follow. If we shift that and start to know and believe that we can control our day and our happiness and our joy, so much will shift for you. Well, first off, you got to know what do you want... You have to know. What you do want? Okay, so you may have a list of things that you don't want in your life, but you got to know what you do want. Feel free to go back to the beginning of the mindset podcast where I run you through step by step. The first episode, second, third are running through how to become aware of the things that you want in your life, how to create a vision board, how to start changing your internal dialogue, how to start changing your story, how to start using these tools to start changing your life. (05:56) • If you have a friend that's constantly wanting to gossip and be drama and negative and is texting you and calling you, I'm going to tell you right now, the best thing that you can do for that person, and yourself, is not pick up the phone and stop responding. You don't have to accept their drama, their reality, their problems. I have a boundary around that, you are energetically taking your vibration, your energy, and in tangling it with the people that you hang out with. So you got to be really, really careful about that, you know? It's okay to have boundaries, it's okay not to just pick up your phone when somebody calls. It's okay not to gossip and chitter chatter and feed into the drama and spread the drama and all that. It's okay to have boundaries. And you're not a mean person, you're not a bad person, anything like that. You have those boundaries because, think about it, you're protecting yourself, you're protecting your family, and you're protecting your income. I have same people, clients and team members, who get entangled with stuff like that, and I have seen it affect their business and their income. So I want to encourage you, don't talk hard times. You don't have to accept things as they are. You can get back in the habit if you got out of the habit, or you can start the habit of doing the magic five morning mindset on my website mindsetchick.com, creating your as if story. (12:33)• I won't accept things as they are, just because they've always been that way, it doesn't mean they can't be changed, so true. Or, it doesn't mean that what's coming into your reality right now, or the chitter chatter of the world, or the changes or anything like that, has to stay a reality. Things are always changing. Nothing ever stays the same. So whatever is going on right now in your life can always be changed. Stop being stuck as a mindset, you're not stuck, you're never stuck. That was one of the most powerful things that I learned at age 23 when I was overweight, suffering with postpartum depression, having a newborn, my husband working two jobs, being alone, not having friends, having eyeballs in debt, living paycheck to paycheck, and thinking, There's no way out, until I realized there was. That I was only a stuck as I believed myself to be, being stuck was a mindset and I could release that thought, thought pattern, that story, any time I chose. I started to release that story, I started to change my words, I started to change my daily habits. I started focusing on things I did want. I stopped focusing on things that didn't have... I stopped judging, stop comparing, I stopped criticizing other people for having what I desired, and I said things like, You know what, if they have that I can too... God doesn't play favorites. • I just love for you to share about this video and why you felt like it was so needed. Yes, so it was actually a collaboration with my friend Camille Thompson, who's also the director of M.O.M. Crew, which is a dance team I'm a part of, with a bunch of other amazing, incredible, strong women. It's definitely a sisterhood. And so, Camille oftentimes will come up and say, Hey, let's do a video, I'm going to do a video about this or that, and then she actually asked me to collaborate with her on this video concept. And so there is a song by Mary J. Blige called Good Morning gorgeous, and we actually did contemporary dancing to that video, choreographed by someone else as well. And so after that... And we were like, Okay, what do we do with this? So there was a lot of back and forth on what does the song mean? There's different words within the song and it really resonated with so many different women that are part of the team, and we really wanted to release and do a video where we could have impact really in showing not only our dance abilities, because it is a dance video, but it is also a video about body image and what we as women go through. As you to look at, especially his mothers, because everyone that's part of M.O.M. Crew is also a mom. So not only do we have some of the own insecurities that we have just as women, but also as mothers. We're really hard on ourselves, it's challenging to carry the weight of making sure that you're doing the right things for your kids, second guessing that, but then also trying to be a woman in this world where there's a lot of criticism. (03:15)• On time, there's a daily struggle for millions of women that have to go through that all the time, and there's a ton of single mothers that are out there. And so that was one of the stories that we featured in the video, and she's actually the featurette, at that's part of that video where essentially she's going through this, she's trying to talk herself up, and as she goes through, all of her friends are there to say, You know what, we're going to care for you and we're going to take you out. Right where we get her kind of glammed up, make her still amazing and incredible, have a wonderful time with your sisters. But know that even though each and every one of those women are going through the struggles, towards the end, you start to see how do they individually overcome each of those struggles that are represented in the video, because it's not just about a sad time and let's go feel sad and be sorry for ourselves, you know, as we're going through, it's really about making sure that we are lifting each other up, which is exactly what M.O.M. Crew is about, and then making sure that everyone feels loved. And so you can see that we're in these neutral kind of outfits, we really wanted to take away all of the glitz and the glamor and really just show that it's really about rallying around and making sure that we all feel incredible about ourselves despite what the circumstances might be.(08:11)• It's really incredible, there's nothing like it. That's what made this video. What you would call easy to do, it wasn't because nothing was manufactured, and it's the real authenticity of each and every woman coming across and trying to make sure even after the footage, with all the footage we have, how do we go in and make sure that we're picking the best part and working with the videographer and cutting those together, and you've got a really short time to tell that story. But it's so important to tell, and there will be more, there will be more like this, but it was really the first collaboration that Camille and I did, and I think it's incredible. I really just took what her vision was for M.O.M. Crew, and then the experiences that each and every one of us had, and we kind of put that together for everybody to see because those are the things like in the video that behind the scenes, we see from each and every member of the team. That's what makes us a sisterhood, because everybody feels so comfortable in sharing really personal parts of their life, but can trust each one, to know that neither of us are going to... None of us are going to take advantage of it. (15:42)• As an extrovert, I'm very extroverted. So a lot of introverts, like complete introverts, maybe feel a little uncomfortable. But I've met a ton of introverts, like my husband is a natural introvert. But with me, he's been... And we've been married for 17 years, so would be... He is a lot more open. Everyone that kind of just gets around me, just becomes a lot more open, and goofy. People feel comfortable with the silliness, the goofy-ness. We'll go and talk in other voices because we're just goofy like that. People look at us weird and it's just like, I don't know, it's goofy, I love life, I want to enjoy life. But at the same time, the only way that I can... I literally feel like I've only been able to come out and accept myself truly, probably since I joined M.O.M. Crew. It took me that long to feel comfortable with myself, and that's in my late 30's. So, I went through my whole life thinking like, I can be this way around this group of friends, but I have to be this way around this different group of friends, and then in the corporate environment, which I've been in for over 20 years, in the corporate environment, I have to be all about business, all the time. And what I realized is that I was not sharing a part of myself that could actually make someone else smile. • This summer has been amazing. It's been really, really great. And if you follow me on social media, on Facebook, Instagram, you probably know that I love to travel, I love to go to the beach, and that I was traveling a lot over the summer... Well, I enjoy eating healthy, I enjoy working out, I enjoyed taking care of my body, all the things, but over the summer, I was just like, you know, whatever, I worked out, but I was like, It doesn't really matter, I'm just going to go on vacation, I'm just going to have fun, and I had a great time. And there's nothing wrong with that. I ate some amazing foods, I lounged around, I just enjoyed myself, I enjoyed all of the manifestations. And one of the cool manifestations that happen is that I went on a trip to Hawaii with my friend in July. And what's really interesting about that is, I had on my vision board for years now that I wanted to go to Hawaii. We were talking a few weeks before she was about to leave, and she's like, I'm going to Hawaii, and I'm like, Oh my gosh, that sounds so fun, I would love to go to Hawaii! It's be on my vision board, I've been dreaming about it. And she's like, Well, come with me. 02:32)• I'm like, What if I was just dreaming about it and visualizing it. Guess what? I got an email notification two days before, we're bumping you up to first class. I think it's a business class, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, I was like, if I saw the bed, maybe it's just a chair, I... Anyways, I got on the flight, it was the very front of the plane, I mean, it was like the seat that reclined into the bed with the blanket and the pillows and the socks. And they asked me if I wanted a Sunday for desert. They wanted to make me a Sunday, it was amazing, it was so amazing! And then on the way back, it was an overnight flight and I thought, You know what, that would be so nice if they upgraded me again to first class because it's an overnight flight. How cool would that be? And I was talking with my friend and she's like, Yeah, that would be cool, but you know, it's maybe not likely to get it twice, that would be really, really interesting if you got it twice like that. And I was just visualizing and visualizing, and I was thinking about how much fun it would be to fly back and be sleeping in this like chair-like bed, and being served wine and watching a movie and having my warm nuts and my meal and all the things like, come on, we're going to Hawaii. Why not travel like this, right? (06:25)• Well, the vacation stopped and I came home, tried on my jean shorts, oops that didn't fit, they were tight. I mean, real tight. And the first thought that came in my mind was, Oh, how could you let yourself get like this like, Oh, look at your stomach, look at your thighs. So I got on my scale, I had gained weight. And the first thought was to start beating up on myself, look how good you did, you were working out, you were eating good, you lost weight, you were feeling so great in your clothes, and now you've gained it all back, really? I started to compare myself to others, Well, why do some of my other friends or some of the other people that I know get to go out and eat whatever they want and still look the same, like why did I gain all this weight? I don't understand. Now, maybe you'll never be able to lose the weight again, or you're always going to be yo-yoing or... How could you have done this? All these things were going on in my head, and I listened to the podcast and I was like, Oh my gosh, I'm in it. I'm in the mean girl phase, I'm mean girling myself. Man, I know that those thoughts aren't serving me, I know that... And I talk about it, you know, but I got caught up in it. I got kind of down on myself, I was just started feeling gross and sluggish, and then I was back to, You know, my expandable pants, that's what I like to call it. And I was like, I don't want to wear my jean shorts, I don't want to wear my jeans, I'm back to my expandable pants. I listen to that podcast and I thought, You know, no, I'm going to use this for good, I'm not going to use this to beat up on myself. I'm going to use this as an opportunity to flip the script and just say, You know what? I had a great time, I had a wonderful time, I flew first class both ways to Hawaii. (8:33)• I have to just appreciate where I am, hey, I enjoyed some really good food and drink, I'm just saying. I mean it was good and all that pizza in Hawaii was worth it. And one of my friends said, What did you eat in Hawaii? And I said we went almost every day to Lahaina Pizza Company and got Hawaiian pizza and beer, and let me just tell you, it was worth every bike... It was so good. So I enjoyed it and I'm just realizing that it's okay to have those days where maybe you don't feel that positive and you don't feel that great, but just know you don't have to stay there. And when Lizzy talked about shutting up your inter-Mean Girl, it's really a choice, like you can subscribe to those stories, you can listen to the voices, or you can say, You know what? No thank you. I'm not going to beat the drum to that song, I'm not going to believe I'm a failure, I'm not going to believe that I'm not good enough, I'm not going to believe that I'm ugly or fat or I'm less than anybody else. I'm going to lift myself up and just say, I am where I am, and that's okay. • I like to think the first step is to actually acknowledge our inner mean girl and say, okay, well, thank you for trying to keep me safe, I'm aware of you and have that awareness. Because some of those are so out of touch with what our brains are actually telling us, it becomes very automatic, those negative thoughts that pop into our brain from our inner mean girl, they can feel very natural and very ingrained in our days. But as I say, they're not always aligned to feeling good, so the first step is to really create that acknowledgement of, I hear you, I see you, but this isn't making feel good. And then the second step is really to find a story or a belief that is more aligned to us feeling good, because as I like to say to people, what we choose to put into our brains is very similar to what we choose to wear in the morning, right? (02:08)• It's so easy to try and stuff down our emotions because, either through society or tough upbringing, we're kind of conditioned to be strong or not show those emotions, there's negative emotions and inverted comments. But in doing so, it's actually counter-productive, because as you say, sometimes those emotions or thoughts are coming up so that we can address them and we can grow and evolve and transform our mindset, and by just stuffing them down what we're really doing is we're just kind of enabling the same patterns to repeat themselves. And actually what I found is that our inner mean girl is kind of like a toddler, the more you ignore her, the more she screams. (06:48)• So I think that's a really, really great point in switching the way that we talk about ourselves, the way that we talk about how we nourish our bodies. Diet is a four letter word that I don't really resonate with. And being able to nourish our bodies and trust our gut is very important to me. And the reason why that is, is because the diet industry is yet another source, in addition to our inner mean girl, with this limiting belief that we're not good enough... Right? So we have a diet industry saying, Take our supplements, do our program, lose weight, eat more healthily, and then you'll be good enough. And then that works in tandem with our own inner mean girl that's saying, You're not good enough. And really, it sets up a very negative cycle always needing to be in the diet industry in order to sell good enough. But you're never going to feel good enough, because they're always going to be trying to sell you a product. (10:27)• I feel like we try and make things harder than they actually are, so something like that is such an easy and powerful tool that we can use to start to tune into our bodies and really consider, Is this something that my body is asking for? Is this something but I think it's all sinful or I'm using as, I don't know, a way of numbing out or expressing another emotion that I have? So, I think that's a great tool. I really like the idea of reading our hunger on a scale of one to 10, because everybody's kind of gauge is going to be different. But if we do have our own way of knowing, Okay, so I'm feeling a little bit hungry, I'm at about a five. I can start maybe thinking about eating something in the next hour versus being absolutely starving and not actually listening to our body, and that's something that we can just practice over time, just implement and it's personalized to us. (13:32)• We could take the burger and change it to a turkey patty and just kind of make these small swaps that change the nutritional value of our meal so that we don't feel deprived. But we're also feeding our body with all of the nutrients that we need. And again, it's not necessarily saying that we always have to choose the healthiest option or that we always have to choose the less healthy option, it's kind of, again, being in tune with what your body needs and making the choice that is right to you, and I love how earlier you were talking about really it is a choice and taking responsibility for how we nourish our bodies, it is so, so important. And, just actually enjoying the food... that many of us just hate what are we doing, and I'm a nutritionist and I dislike green salad. And so that's not going to make me happy. • Here's the thing, you can talk to your kids about this stuff too. These techniques, these are great tools to teach kids... I mean, gosh, I wish I would have learned a lot of this stuff when I was young. And I'm so grateful and thankful that I learned it when I did and was able to teach my kids the things when I did, so that they can know about the power of thoughts and the mental pictures that we put in our mind and how they talk to themselves and what they think about. And sometimes you can only tell people so much, they have to want to believe it and accept it, everybody's on a different journey and pathway, even our kids. And sometimes our kids are like, Oh yeah, okay, I'll take that to heart. And sometimes we're like, Oh yeah, whatever. But I mean, here's the thing, you're sharing it with them. (05:24)• When I was getting into the law of attraction, and I was telling my husband Alex about it, and he was like, Oh, okay, whatever. It's a little interesting, so I'm just going to think a thought and then things are going to start showing up in my reality based on what I think about. You think that way, right? But I was determined, I was like, No, I'm determined. I have my book, Katherine's Ponder the Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. I was reading it every single day, I was just diving in, I thought it was so fascinating, and I was starting to see things open our lives. And I decided, I was like, Well, I'm going to try this. And I started visualizing Alex's paychecks being different. I started visualizing him getting a raise... He didn't even know it Guys, I didn't even know it. I was visualizing him getting a raise, I was visualizing him getting these big bonuses, I was visualizing him coming home and going, Oh my gosh, I got a promotion and I got a raise. And he had no idea. And it was so cool, Okay? So cool, I would think about it, I would get into that feeling of like what I would do and I would see that money come in and how we would celebrate and what that would do for our family. And multiple times he would come home and say, Kristi, I gotta raise. I don't even know why I got a raise. Oh my gosh, my bonus check, it was this much and you know? it's so cool, those checks were the same amount that I visualized. (07:06)• If somebody didn't believe in you and they told you it wasn't going to work and your dreams don't matter, or they can't come to fruition. That's really about them, not about you, it's their own personal disbelief in themselves, Okay? So that's all about them. So if you allow that to control you or upset you, which it can upset you, okay? You have valid reasons for being upset, but I guess what I'm saying is, if you allow that to lead you and guide you through your life... To me, I believe you're letting them control you, you're allowing their limiting beliefs about themselves, the world around them, and what's possible to control you, and so you're like, I believe it, I'm going to show you, I believe it, and I'm going to show you! And to me, that energy, you can still have success with that energy, but it's not as flowing downstream, to me it's more going upstream. You think about that energy, I'm going to prove them wrong, I'm going to go out there, I'm going to prove them wrong and prove to all these people that I'm worthy and deserving of it. You don't have to prove anything. You are already worthy. You are deserving. You don't have to prove anything. That's about them, not about you. Don't let it control you. (9:44)• Step into that feeling now, this has happened, this is where my career is, this is where my business is, this is where my love life is, this is where my body is and I'm feeling so happy about it, and you're stepping into that version of you now, you're seeing it, feeling it believing it, you're seeing it, feeling it, believing it, you're stepping into that version now, you are so freaking happy because it's already happened, it's here, it's manifested, it's already happened, It's here, it's manifested, it's already happened, it's manifested, I'm seeing it, feeling it, believing it, and I'm acting as if it's already happened, already happened. I'm so happy and grateful, I'm so happy and grateful that this is in my life, I'm so happy and grateful that this is in my life, and I have that happiness now. Feel that happiness now, don't wait until you get it to feel happy, then you're always going to be waiting... Wait and waiting. because it's going to be coming, coming, coming. I can't wait for that to happen, I wait for that happen, right? And feel it now, see it, feel it, believe it, experience it now, live out that happy version of you now. • I use the acronym S.A.F.E., and it's about being emotionally safe. A lot of us will hide our emotional trauma and not address it and will shove it down instead of processing those feelings and being able to move on. So the S.A.F.E. method is my method of moving on from that emotional trauma to lead a more fulfilled and purposeful life, so the S stands for stop and accept that you're in pain. A lot of us will just keep going on the hamster wheel, will keep ourselves so busy and will say that we don't have time to think about anything and we just keep walking through life being numb and not processing our pain. The first step is to stop and actually acknowledge that you're in pain. Many of us don't realize that we are. Sometimes there's enough medical evidence out there to prove that it can manifest in physical ways, so for me, I had a lot of health issues because I was denying that I was an emotional pain. So, the first step for S.A.F.E. is stop and accept that you're in pain, which is one of the most difficult things to do. (01:50)• The second one I talk about is A, which is accept your responsibility for where you are, So... Sometimes in life, there are things that happen to us that we have no control over, and the minute that you start to say, I accept where I am, can be very empowering. And sometimes we've made incorrect decisions in our lives or decisions that weren't the best for us, and it's just accepting some responsibility for that and empowering yourself to move forward. A lot of us play what I call the self-righteous victim. I was a grade a self-righteous victim, I was pissed at the world, I blamed everybody for everything, and I blamed everyone for where I was. And what happens in that is, you keep repeating the story, you keep acting like the self-righteous victim and you don't empower yourself to do anything. The minute that you accept where you are today, and the minute that you accept, I have some responsibility for whatever it may have been that has happened to me, you empower yourself to actually move forward and you have to do something about it because you've accepted accountability for in whatever shape or form it may be. (03:08)• The F I talk about is three types of forgiveness, so forgiveness of the person that you perceive has hurt you. And you can continue to play the movie back in your head and say, so and so did this, and so and so did that, and you stay stuck, and what has happened has happened but you are ruining the remaining years of your life by constantly playing that same movie real instead of working through forgiveness and letting go of it. Because at the end of the day, we only hurt ourselves, whoever we perceive as hurting us has moved on with their life. But we're still holding ourself captive to that particular situation because we're not moving through the pain and we're not forgiving. The second type of forgiveness I talk about is forgiveness of the Universe, because we all are great at saying, why me? Why was I dealt a sh*tty set of cards? The truth is, why would we wish anything bad that happens to us, to happen to our fellow human beings? it's extremely selfish. So the question that I phrase is, Why not me? What is it that I need to learn from this? And thank you Universe, for teaching me the lessons that I needed to learn. (04:33)• The third type of forgiveness, which is one of the hardest things, is the forgiveness of ones self, the forgiveness of ones self, for the decisions that we've made that have affected other people, or the decisions that we've made that perhaps were not the best for us. And not to be so hard on ourselves and understand that life is a journey and we are going to make mistakes and we need to learn from those mistakes because without the mistakes, we don't grow. (5:54)• The E is embracing your journey and embracing fully who you are. So we're all great at accepting how great we are and how fantastic we are, but what about our flaws, why don't we embrace those? Why don't we embrace the flaws that we have and be confident in our own skin and embrace our journey to be able to manifest the things that we want? And I know in your podcast, you talk a lot about manifestation, and I don't believe you can manifest a purposeful or failed life until you work through your emotional pain. • And a lot of people do and say things on a daily basis, they don't even realize why they're doing or reacting that way because it's a subconscious program. But you can change that program any time that you want. In order to allow the universe to support you with the right people, things event, everything that you need to make your goal or that dream or reality, you have to feel with every inch of your body that it's already happened, that it's here. Like what we were talking about in the beginning, you have to have zero doubt... You have to have a 100% belief. Zero doubt. 100% belief. So how do you do that? You have to see it. Feel it, believe it. See it, feel it, believe it. See it, feel it, believe it. This is happening now. (05:33)• How are you going to celebrate? Who are you going to tell? What's that going to feel like? Feel those emotions right now, see that happening, play that out in your mind... That new car that you desire to have is here right now, it's in your driveway, you're jumping in, you're putting your hands on the steering wheel, you're smelling that new car smell and you're like it's happened, it's here. Maybe you have a big bill that you are trying to pay off and your goal is to be debt-free. I want you to imagine right now that the money came in and you pay off that bill, you're looking at it right now, and it says zero balance. (06:47)• You have to feel abundant, to have more abundance. You have to feel lovable, to be more loved, to have that loving relationship. You have to feel healthy and well, to be able to support your body to become healthy and well. You have to live it out now, that's how the laws of the universe work. That's just how it is, those are the laws that govern our Universe. Law of Attraction says, like attracts like, there's infinite possibilities out there, infinite possibilities on what we can be, do or have. Infinite. The only reason why we become limited to receiving the things that we desire is because of our way of thinking, our doubt, or fear or disbelief, that's the only reason. Once we clear that and we start standing in the story of more possibilities, of the possibility that that dream and desire and that lifestyle is possible, and ours right now. And we're claiming it, we're feeling it, seeing it, believing it. (9:38)• What we're focusing on, what we're thinking about, and yes, sometimes things happen in our life that aren't always exactly what we desire or some contrast, but how can we use that to learn and grow? How can we move past that? How can we look at maybe those negative experiences as a way to support us to grow and to learn and to say, Hey, you know, why is this coming up? Why am I experiencing this? Why am I moving through this? Is there something I need to let go? Is there something I need to learn from? And getting closer with ourselves and building that relationship with ourselves instead of pushing things down and shaming ourselves or having guilt or just reacting and staying stuck in a loop and the cycle. So, I believe everything is possible, if you believe, everything is possible. If you believe, you have faith and trust. And so, if there's something in your life you're desiring to have, but it's not there yet, remember the less doubt and the more belief, the faster it will manifest. So, what do you feel like you need to let go of in order to manifest that faster? Now how do you need to replay that new story in your mind? • So many times people get stuck in that cycle and they don't understand like why their business isn't growing, why their life isn't where they want it to be. And they don't even realize that it's because maybe they're lacking that confidence. And they're repeating the mantra of self doubt and living in that. Oh, yeah, for sure. And I think there's just such an emphasis on the do of entrepreneurship and building a business, especially on social media. You know, show up more, post more, do the content, all of those things. And while those things are really important and yes, you have to take action and you have to do, I think there's really such a lack of people showing up and being like, Hey, this other part of it, the mindset part, is really, really important too. (02:44)• I was one of those people for awhile. I was one of the people who really didn't think that personal development was that important. And I remember, you know, having leaders that would, you know, suggest podcasts or different books to read and things like that. And I'm like, I don't have time for that. You know, like really just pushing it to the side and thinking like, I just need to keep doing the things. And I think there's also that side of where people are like, be consistent, just keep showing up. I feel like I was doing all the things I was working myself to death really. And truly, like I was working so hard and I got to that burnout place where I was just like, I don't understand why I'm not seeing results. Like, I don't understand. I'm doing everything everyone's telling me to do. I'm putting all the action in. And finally, I feel when I was like, okay, let me actually get this personal development thing a shot, that's when everything just shifted. (04:42)• It was who is Tiffany? What do I love about myself? And how can I magnetize those things?. How can I shine those things brighter about myself? Knowing that, of course I'm going to have flaws. And of course, there's going to be things about myself that I'm going to have to be constantly working on and improving. But the things that I feel like are really special about me, what can I do to share those things in a bigger, bolder, and brighter way? And so that's really where I started with showing up with more confidence. It was looking at myself, taking that inner look at me and just seeing how I could show more of me, because I think what I was doing before was I was shrinking myself because I was like, well, I don't have what she had. (07:51)• I used to think that I was unlikable and I routed that back to an experience that I had in middle school. And I was just like, wow, like this one experience that I had as a child, it made me think this thing about myself, for the majority of the rest of my life. And then I just decided like, why do I think that? Is that really actually true? Is it really actually true that I am unlikeable? And I was like, no, I get to be likable. People love me. I get to show up and be someone that people really enjoys being in my world and being in my space. And so I started to show up like that. And I think before, because I had this subconscious belief that I was unlikable, I was showing up in ways that made me unlikable. It was like the self fulfilling prophecy. And I think that's what we do a lot of times is we have these thoughts that we pick up from, you know, our childhood or from media, or just different things. (10:12)• And I like to think of results and success as your energy times your effort. And so the energy that you put out multiplied by the effort that you're putting in is what you're going to receive, is the output that you're going to get. And I think that a lot of people are only focused on the effort. They're only focused on working hard. They're only focused on doing the do, like you said, and the energy piece is lost, and they're like, oh, but I'm sending the messages, I'm making the posts, I'm doing all the things. And it's like, but what kind of energy are you doing that from? Are you doing that from a feeling of lack and feeling like, oh, I'm going to send this message, but they're probably not going to respond? Or like, oh, I'm going to make this post about my business opportunity, but nobody's probably going to see it, or no one's going to care? You know, kind of having that energy behind it, like that is felt. But when you show up and you're showing up competently and you're excited about it, and you're like, oh my gosh, I'm so excited, you know, about this business opportunity! And I'm really wanting to bring some women in here who are ready to go! People feel that difference. • Are you asking big enough? Are you dreaming big enough? Are you asking big enough with maybe the thoughts in the back of your mind that might not be possible right? Those things may not be able to manifest? Or, are you asking, dreaming, believing that good things can happen because you are a miracle, abundance is your birth right? You live in a rich, beautiful, lavish universe with lots of abundance, and you know what? When somebody else wins, you win, it's not when somebody else wins, I lose, it's a universe of there's enough abundance to go around for all of us. It's unlimited. God is a God of love, He's a God of blessings and unlimited abundance and joy, and so when we tune into that energy vibration, it's unlimited the amount of goodness that we can receive in our lives. (04:52)• Mr. Miller once said that the great fault of most of us is that we do not ask big enough, and we do not continue in prayer until it comes. He also advised, expect great things of God and great things you will have... That's really powerful. Expect great things of God and great things you will have. He once told a friend, I have praised God many times when he sent me 10 cents, and I have praised Him when He sent me 60,000. Slowly his answers to his prayers for prosperity, $7 ,500,000 was given to him for the building and maintenance of his orphanages. Wow, that's huge. The story has often been related of how Charles Fillmore, the co-founder of the Unity school, one time a payment was overdue on the printing presses and the sheriff came to repossess the machines. But when Mr. Fillmore confidently declared, I have a rich father who was going to take care of this, the sheriff believed him and literally replied, Well, in that case, we will give you a little bit more time. So Mr. Fillmore then continued to pray for prosperity, and the money came in. (09:24)• I'm up-leveling my energy frequency, getting in harmony with the energy of my goal. So, you've already reached your goal, was that version of you asking big enough? Were you bringing your shoulders back, holding your head up high, believing and feeling into it, believing that you're deserving of it, believing that you are a child of a rich father, believing that you have a rich father? That you live in a rich universe that will take care of things for you? That God always has your back. That blessings and abundance is your birth right. (18:50)• Are you in harmony with that frequency of your goal, or are you out of harmony trying to reach it? So asking big enough, it's also up-leveling your mindset, loving that frequency to match that of your goal or even something bigger. Because a lot of times there's a lot bigger things waiting for us, but we never reach it because we never believe... We never asked for it, we never have faith that it could come to us. We play small. We listen to what the world tells us. We listen to what other people tell us. We're not listening to what God tells us. It's like Napoleon Hill, said in Think and Grow Rich; When blessings start to flow, sometimes they come so fast that you wonder where they've been hiding all these years. Are you allowing your riches to flow, or are you allowing your blessings to flow? Are you asking big enough? • I've noticed that manifestation has gotten a bad rap in the sense that most folks think that manifesting is a one-way street, it is something that you do intentionally. What I've noticed is that manifesting is something we're doing all the time, like it or not, it is our communication system with our environment. And so counter-manifesting is keeping that in mind that, yes, we are in fact always creating our reality, the piece of the counter is we're just not aware of how we're doing it, or why we're not getting what we want. And so even though we might consciously say that we want to create something that's beautiful and wonderful and we deserve, there's a part of us that's countering that energy saying, We can't have it, we're unworthy of it, or in some way, subconsciously sabotage it. (01:50)• So I call them rule boxes, and I imagine... I'm a pretty visual person, so hopefully this still works in podcast form, but I imagine a bunch of different boxes and they have different rules in them, and you can have a box on relationships, you could have a box on purpose work, a box on finding your soul mate, becoming a billionaire. Whatever everybody wants. And it's filled with things, again, from the past typically, and so I always imagine taking a knife and cutting open that box and saying, what is inside of it, if I am trying to get here and here is not where I currently am. Then, what are my rules on who I have to be to get there? Which usually are incorrect, by the way. And what is the path that I think I have to take? Which also typically is incorrect. And when we start questioning why we live through the rules that we live by... Man, it gets so interesting because you see, Oh, no wonder these things haven't come to fruition, I have rules that are literally causing me to run around in circles, I used to do it with success. (05:38)• So dense energy, it's this whole process and this understanding I had years ago where I was looking at... I used to study... My background is actually in Neuroscience and Psychology, and I'm a total geek. So teaching manifestation, I was like, I'm going to teach this very spiritual thing? And the universe is like, Yes, you will! I wanted to bring a lot of background into it that made logical left brain sense and so I noticed that from a vibrational level, scientifically speaking, on low end of things, although that's faster information anyhow, but from a scientific standpoint, everybody has a frequency, all things have what I call a frequency signature. We are all vibrating, and all things, including thoughts and traumas and experiences and all that stuff, they all are vibrating at a certain frequency, but if it's dense, meaning it comes from fear, scarcity, not enough-ness, shame and guilt, and you can literally just Google an emotional chart and you'll see the actual vibration that all of these different emotions or feelings exist upon. And so I thought about you know, if I'm sitting there manifesting what I want out of unworthiness, because then I'll be good enough, or because then I won't be alone, or maybe then everyone will love me or something like that. That's coming from a really dense and slow, literally a slow vibration, which means that the matter that comes into contact with that vibration is going to move more slowly, therefore it's not going to manifest itself if at all, very, very slowly. But when we use these higher and less dense, vibrational emotions like love, excitement, joy, gratitude, all of those that intentional energy allows for matter to become made manifest that much more quickly, because everything is literally moving at a faster rate. (09:32)• So the most simplistic thing, and this is something that I talk about because it's so easy to just spark the process, I call it creating energetic check-ins. It's basically an essence building awareness of where you're currently at, because unless you know where you are, you don't know how far you need to go to get where you're trying to... Know the destination if you will. And so creating energetic check-ins is, it could be an hour... Or every hour, I'm sorry. It could be three times a day, whatever feels right to someone. I always say do not judge yourself when you start hearing what you're really feeling and what you're really saying to yourself, this is all feedback, don't get emotional, get curious. But you're doing these check-ins every so often saying, Okay, what am I truly feeling right now? And if you can go step further, why? What triggered me in the past hour since my last check-in? I was feeling good then or... Wow, I'm realizing that, of course, my life feels the way it does most often when I'm doing these check-ins, I don't like the way that I feel or I feel dense energy. (12:51)• And so I've noticed, and I tell folks this, when you wake up, keep that phone away from you for at least a half hour. If you can do an hour or longer, that would be amazing because you're priming your brain for distraction and... What's another word for? Distraction and chaos. And when we feel chaotic, our energy feels all over the place. So I always tell folks, have a morning routine where you clear, even if it's just for five minutes, chill for a moment. Breathe in the day, set an intention. What's the day going to look like? And how are you going to choose to ensure that that intention is what you follow regardless of whatever it is that shows up? And you're coming into your energetic field as your own... So you know what you're coming to the table with so that when additional frequencies are being felt or different energy or people or whatever you want to call it, then you can do something a little bit productive with it because you've been more proactive versus so reactive. • And so I caught myself doing that. Okay, the reason I'm sharing this with you is because it can be easy to get entangled in the worlds energy. What other people are doing, what the norm is, what a lot of people are doing. And I've talked about this before on these episodes, is a lot of times people are manifesting the things that they don't want. We're always manifesting by our thoughts, by our actions, by our words, we're always drawing into our life things that we either do want or don't want based on our internal dialogue or daily actions, our daily habits, the words we speak about ourselves, about others. All those things, because we are basically a magnet, we are energy, everything is energy, what we put out, we get back. What we reap we sow, what we focus on expands, and so we're always manifesting. And a lot of times it's things that we don't want because we're not aware of what we're doing. (03:04)• Doing more, doing more, and so I felt myself getting caught up in that energy before, because it can be easy because it's what most of the norm do. And so there's a really big goal that I was desiring to manifest, I've up leveled some of my goals for myself and my business in my life, and there was a deadline on this goal happening, and I remember thinking, Okay, this is going to happen, this is going to happen, I've got to have this happen... Who could I get to make this a reality? What do I need to do? How much do I need to show up? And I caught myself being on my phone more than normal, I caught myself in the doing as I like to call it, which is I go and go, and going, doing, doing, doing instead of leaning back and connecting with that version of me who's already reached her goals instead of aligning with that vibration. (05:43)• So what do I need to do? Well, wake up in the morning with gratitude, start with my morning mindset, kept myself in a high vibe, feel myself reaching that goal, see myself reaching that goal, hearing who's around me. Who am I going to tell? What is that going to look like? Then getting in this high vibe of excitement and even just making sure I'm saying the mantra, This or something better is coming my way. God, I am so available, I am so available for all the blessings, miracles that you have for me, that's available to me. I am a vibrational match to all of my dreams and goals that are available to me, I desire to get up to speed with this version of myself who is living out these dreams and goals, but this or something better will come my way. And that way, you're not really trying to control what's happening... You're holding on, This is going to happen, this is going to happen. You're saying, I'm going to feel it, I'm going to see it, I'm going to speak it, I'm going to have fun with it. I'm going to become a vibrational match to that version of me that is walking along the beach, toes in the sand, going on this beautiful trip. (09:11)• I'm not going to be checking my messages 24/7. I'm not going to be looking on social media all day long, do they see it, how many likes did that get, how many comments did that I get, what's going on? Why is that person having more success than I am, why am I having this success? Like comparing myself looking at that. I'm just going to feel into it and have fun, I'm going to release the attachment, I'm going to allow great things, and I'm going to remember that is not me trying to get this goal and make it happen, it's me becoming that person who's already reached her dreams and goals. She said the layers of the doubt, the fear, the panic, the worry, the stress. She has become the person that is standing in immense appreciation for everything that has manifested, and everything on its way. She's standing in faith, knowing that love, joy, abundance, prosperity is always available. She's releasing the attachment to having that come to Fruition, because she just feels so good right now where she is in her life, that whether that happens or not, it is what it is. She's so happy, she's so grateful, she lives by the mantra that everything is working out for her. • It's really funny when I go back because as you were speaking, I was literally visualizing myself in that moment, and just to give a little bit of history to everybody, so before I started this business, I actually worked in the child care industry, I coached leaders all of the world... And I ran a very large child care center. I would have said at the time that it was my dream job, I loved what I did, I got to coach teachers and directors and owners on how to run a better business, and I love that job. But here's the thing, we became parents, and we expected that I would just be able to go back to work like every other mom that I knew or I'd make a decision to stay at home. Right? And we had our beautiful baby girl, she was born, and we brought her home from the hospital, and she was acting a little bit funny, and I never really thought anything of it because I never expected to have a sick child, I knew nobody who had a sick child and he start acting funny. When we woke up in the morning, we decided we're going to take her into the hospital. As soon as the doctor looked at our two-day old baby, she stopped breathing. (02:53)• So to see her jump on live video and start doing beauty tutorials, kind of blew my mind. And I remember sitting on my couch thinking, just really feeling ready to do something other than changing diapers and dealing with a feeding tube. But it's like you feed your baby and then you put them down for a nap and then diapers, I felt like I was in this Ground Hog Day and I was really feeling ready to do something for myself maybe, and I was watching her and I was thinking, You know, I'm going to jump in with her and do this thing, but not because I want to do a beauty business, but because whatever training she has, I need, and I'm going to take that training. I'm going to start my own business and I'm going to run my own business. I'm not sure what that is, but I knew that I wanted what she had. I jumped into this business in a time when I really felt like I was ready to have a new challenge in my life, I never ever imagined doing the business... As far as shampoo's concerned. Okay? I just... Honestly, literally at the time, I had shampoo, probably Suave and conditioner, and that's it. I did not do my hair, I don't do make up, I'm not a beauty girl, okay? So I jumped into this business, I found out I was pregnant with baby number two, and then I sat on the carpet in that same living room where I sat on the couch, and I knew I wanted to jump into this business, and I got told that I was diagnosed with cancer, my whole world in a flipped upside down in that moment. (05:32)• So we're in a crazy life stage right now where we're planning to move across country, and I was getting together with a few of the girls who are local here today for a coffee, and the gal came up to me and she just told me... She's like, I just want you to know that you are so inspiring, the way that you share your story, it just encourages me every single day, and this gal, I don't do my business with this gal, I don't hang out with her all the time on a personal level, but she's watching. And I think that we discount the fact that people are always watching, whether it's on social media or in person, and we have a decision to make. I remember very early on when we were sitting in that NICU. One of my friends was telling me her story about being in the NICU with her child, and she said... I knew in that moment that I had a decision to make. How this story would be told. And I think about that all the time. Do I want the story to be told that I laid on the couch sick and did nothing with the story of cancer, the circumstance of cancer that God gave me, or do I want to stand boldly and say... Yeah, I showed up. Yeah, I cried. (10:03)• It just reminds me of the fact that words are so powerful. I remember when we had our second child who was also born with the same disorder that our first child has... We didn't know at the time, because she wasn't diagnosed yet. But we had these two kids and they have a very rare genetic disorder, that they'll die from. And I remember somebody on our team pointed out to me a word that I kept using, and the word was nightmare. And I remember thinking, that's how I saw my life. I have two kids who I'm going to bury. That's a nightmare. And I would say it over and over in my stories when I should have on social media, I would say in person, I'd say to my husband, This is a nightmare, these kids are a nightmare, and she pointed out this word to me... And it really caught my eye because that's how I really saw it. But I was speaking it so much that it was really occurring that way. And ever since I've shifted my mindset to this gratitude practice, every single morning reminding myself of what I'm thankful for... And by the way, one of the things that I have on mine is I'm so thankful and grateful that Russell is happy. He's a baby who cries a lot, but I am saying that I'm available for him to turn a corner. (16:34)• Yeah, it's funny that you mentioned that verse. So the morning that we found out that we got the house, my husband woke up, well, we found out in the afternoon. But my husband woke up, he was reading his Bible and he read that verse and he came down to the breakfast table, and he looked at me and he goes, You'll never guess the verse that popped up today, and he shared that verse, ask and you shall receive... And he's like, We got to pray. So as a family, we all held hands with our two little crazy kids, and we prayed that, and he said when he was praying... He knew. He knew in his heart, he was like, God's going to give us this. And then we found out hours later on that afternoon that we got the house. But it's true, I think that often we're afraid to ask for things. As I was standing in this house looking around and I was literally seeing every single Pinterest picture that I have cut out and every single magazine that I've cut out and I'm just weeping. Thinking, This is too much, this is too much. I'm undeserving. Like you were saying, But that's not the God that we serve, so it's like he wants to give us good gifts, but we have to ask for them. • I was sitting here feeling like I had a setback, as you know, I'm very active, I work out a lot and on our Miami trip, my husband and I were bike riding. I go to the gym very, very often. I try to go five, six days a week or walk in between, and they couldn't figure out what was wrong. It was frustrating me because I was having pain and I felt like I was having a really huge setback, I didn't understand why this was happening. But then again, I was like, Okay, God, Okay, universe, this is you telling me to be still, maybe to be quiet, maybe to let go. And yeah, I finally went to a doctor who decided that I had something wrong with a previous hernia surgery, and that I had actually, probably with lifting weights and working out, I'm lifting very, very heavy weight, which I love to do, but I probably tore that area and I could possibly have some other hernias. So I recently had surgery, and he actually repaired one hernia and found two more. (02:01)• But before I start and really dive into this episode, I'm going to start with our Mindset Chick mantra that we've been saying at the beginning of every episode. And this month, I want to change it up, I want to say something different. I love to say this mantra, and so I thought, why not change it up, and it will be very fitting for this month and the month to go. So we go, I am receiving, I am receiving now, I am receiving all of the wealth health blessings and prosperity that the universe has for me. Now, I'm going to say it one more time. I am receiving, I am receiving now, I'm receiving all of the wealth, health blessings and prosperity that the universe has for me now, and so it is. So, what do you do when you find yourself in a situation like myself or a different situation where you feel like you're having this set back? You feel like you're on point and you're working so hard, and you are so close to manifesting that goal and that you've been really working on your mindset and changing your subconscious beliefs, and you've been tapping and you're so close, and then it feels like a setback, how do you continue to stay positive and not let it affect you? (04:55)• I talked to so many people on my team about this a lot, when they're like, I'm so close to that goal, I'm so close, I just need maybe some more customers from our business partners, I just need a little bit more, and then I'll get there, and they're focusing on the lack, what they don't have. And I encourage them to flip the script, whatever we focus on expands, whatever we bless grows, so bless all the customers you have right now, bless all the clients you have right now, bless all the business partners you have right now, bless all of the wonderful friendships you have right now, bless the health that you have right now, focus on what you do have, what's going right, and it will just make you feel better. And not only that, you'll probably see that you'll have more love flowing to you, more blessings, more prosperity, more love, and you'll feel a whole lot better than being down and out and focusing on the problems, the setbacks, the adversity. I'm really excited about May, I'm super excited about being able to get back in the gym. But I'm just taking it one day at a time. • I love this question. So I think I want to start by framing it with the way that we perceive what relationships are supposed to be for... I think there needs to be just a little bit of tweaking on that, we kind of just come from a tradition of, I think we're not really thinking about this person is here to make me happy, or they're here to fulfill my dreams, or we have these expectations about this relationship. This person is loving me forever, and so we get disappointed when it doesn't always look like I'm being loved and being supported and being cared for. And so the paradigm shift, I think that's necessary is to realize that every relationship is an alchemical relationship, that's what I call it, an alchemical relationship. (03:51)• You know, we're constantly aging, we're growing. It would be a little strange if you just stayed exactly the same when you met someone as 10 years later, although I have been in relationships where the person gets mad like, Hey, you're not the person that I got together with, and you're like, Oh yeah, I'm growing too, I'm changing too. And so I think this is something that we could all use an education on or just get a different perspective. What is the purpose of relationship? We can look at the purpose, because if our purpose is just for someone else to make us happy and for us to be in marital bliss all the time, then anger doesn't seem to make any sense and we don't like it, and we throw it out... Right? But in the idea that we're growing, changing humans who are hopefully evolving, especially on a spiritual journey, we're wanting to become better, we're wanting to be our most authentic self, live our truth, learn, grow and master ourselves, ultimately, that's what I think my goal is, is to self-mastery. (07:59)• Here comes something new, like something new is about to come forth, there's the energy, there's the power to be in a curious space. And even with yourself, if you feel yourself getting angry about something, you can also be the witness of your own anger, that's something that meditation yoga has really helped me to do is, it is possible to be in an extreme emotion while witnessing it at the same time, so part of your mind, right? So you're like, Okay, I'm getting really mad right now, and instead of being like, I got to stop, I need to stop this and go away, you might just be like, Okay, I'm getting angry, how can I hold space for myself right now to do this? And that brings a little space around it to where you can feel into what is the best way, like sometimes the best way is to just let it out, like that one needs to be let out. Build a little bit of heartbreak or pain that's there, and if both people can witness that, it's almost like you're witnessing a wound showing itself. (16:24)• Purification is often called the dark night of the soul, because they're so much like dark energy and anger can be there and old lifetimes of wounds. And so if we can collectively realize that we're kind of in a dark night of the soul, which is part of the natural awakening process, and it is just a stage, then we can have a little bit more compassion for ourselves and for each other as we're going through this. Just kind of breathe through it, hold each other's hands, find ways to support each other and getting through it, so that we can get to the next phase, which is inevitable, I really don't believe this is going to go on forever. It's inevitable that the life force energy moves us through this phase into one of more empowerment, more creativity, that's the third chakra that's moving beyond the third dimensional reality that we've had, that's been largely security, safety and sexuality-based society, money, and all of that has been a first and second chakra experience, if your listeners are familiar with that, but... So we're moving beyond that. So to have compassion for this time and just know that we're all in this together. • So I want to talk to you about your thoughts and your thinking, basically let you know you are what you think you are, whatever you tell yourself you are. If you tell yourself over and over and over, I'm broke, I'm stuck, nobody likes me, I'm not fun, then that's the person you're going to become. Our thoughts are so powerful, what we speak about, we bring about. What we focus on expands, it's basically like planting seeds every time we have a thought, every time we say negative self-talk to ourselves. 'You can't do it. Who do you think you are? You know, I'm so frustrated with you. Why do you keep making mistakes or such a screw up... You know, I hate you, you're so dumb.' Guys, I had somebody the other day message me, she was a new market partner on my team, and I was in a group message, and I saw her go, 'Oh my gosh, I can't believe I said that. I'm so stupid. I sound so dumb'. I mean, I think sometimes we think that of ourselves, but sometimes we're like, 'Oh, why did we say that? It was so stupid...' But you know, catching yourself and realizing, Okay, you're a manifestation of your thoughts and beliefs basically, so if you think you're ugly and gross and nobody likes you, you'll start creating that in your reality. People's physical appearances can change based on their thoughts. (01:25)• I know you guys have heard me talk about it a lot, but seriously, it's just the best thing that's happened, and it's allowed me to be able to do these podcasts for you guys and put out all this content, this information, manifesting techniques, tips, tricks, all that stuff. I have the time to do that and I have the resources now to do that. But they gave us this book a few years ago, and I've read it and I'm re-reading it and they signed their names in it, so I just love the support. But this is a really cool story. I was going to read this to you. The author says, recently, in a training program he conducted, each person was asked to give a 10-minute talk on being a leader. One of the trainers gave a miserable presentation, his knees literally shook and his hands started trembling, he forgot what he was going to say, after fumbling for five to six minutes, he sat down thoroughly defeated. I don't know about you guys, but you probably heard me in the last podcast talk about, I want to speak on a large stage... Well, I think speaking is the number one fear that people have, speaking in large audiences in front of people. And I really had to work on training myself not to be nervous. (05:27)• Sometimes we go places like, I need to get motivated, Oh...I got to listen to something motivating today, to get me to feel good, to pep me up, which all that's great, but what about being your own cheerleader? What about pepping yourself up? What about saying those things to yourself before a big talk or before a job interview, or before talking to a potential customer or a client or a business partner? Instead of saying, Oh man, I hope they joined my team, I hope that they sign up for my services. I don't know who's really going to think of me as a leader, who's really going to think of me as as somebody who could promote these products? You've got to be your own cheerleader, pep yourself up, you know? Let go of the negative self talk, the fear... Fear is going to come up, right? But instead of building a fear-based story, instead of allowing that and manifest and create that reality, what he said in the book is, develop courage. And you know, thinking is just a habit, we can create new healthy habits, we can create new patterns of thinking. The first step is to be aware of the thoughts that we're thinking, the second step is to stop... To interrupt that pattern. (08:38)• I have something that I really want to share with the world. Why not me? Why can't I do it? There were times when I would see in my minds eye, of me tripping or following and stumbling on my words, and I thought, 'Well, that's not serving me very well, gosh... I don't want to do that.' So I really worked on interrupting that pattern to see myself walking on stage. I'm already visualized what I'm going to be wearing. What I'm going to say, how I'm going to walk out, what I'm going to share, and how much I'm going to serve the people in the audience... Really, it's not about me, it's about serving them and sharing with them things that have helped me along my journey in hopes that I can help someone else... I encourage you this week to do your pep talk. Be your own cheerleader. Visualize what you want to see in the world. Visualize who you want to be. Visualize what you want to receive. Visualize the way that people treat you and you show up. Do that pep talk. A few minutes a day can change your life. • It's not that we're here trying to prove our worth, trying to go get something, we're just trying to allow the desires that we want to have into our life, we want to allow them, we want to be able to receive them. And how do we do that? We have to let go of what's stopping us, blocking us, and a lot of times that's the self-doubt, that's the frustration, that's the judgment, that's comparisonitus. It's all these layers that we put on ourselves. We walk around with all these layers on, and we're trying to basically manifest something, we're trying to go get something when we're not in vibrational harmony with it, when we're not aligned with it, because our blocks are non-belief or negative attitudes, or judgment or comparisonitus. Those things can be blocking us from receiving. (04:14)• I love tapping, and if you have not done tapping before, you can listen to an episode, I have a few different episodes on tapping. You can listen to the episode that I did with Brad, I love to listen to his tapping videos. Episode 32 is with Brad and I. And then in Episode Number 12, I have an introduction to EFT, and then number 13, I'm on there with another tapping expert, Amy McNally, one of my friends and business partners, and she goes over it too. But tapping is something I do every day, sometimes multiple times a day, it's really to clear any blocks, anything that's stopping you from manifesting your goals so that you can align your thoughts, your energy, your belief with what you desire to manifest. (05:40)• I feel like life is all about a bunch of tests and learning and growing. I feel like when we're... No, I think I've said this before, it's like when you pray for patience, God just doesn't give you patience like, Oh, here you go. You wanted patience. Okay, great. You wanted 20,000. Great. You wanted a loving relationship. Great, here you go. You know, we have the opportunity to learn how to be patient, we have the opportunity to learn how to get from, maybe making a couple thousand dollars a month to 20,000 a month. We have the opportunity to learn how to create that loving relationship, maybe how to be a better lover, a better friend. Somebody who listens more. Whatever that is. Yeah, it's really about the journey, not about the destination. (08:41)• Yes, I can do that. I see myself in your story, and my story from going from a college drop out, having babies early, not barely even finishing high school and living on my own since I was 18. Having three jobs at 16, feeling like I wasn't worth anything, feeling like there's no way that I could have a successful life of my dreams, feeling like I always have to live paycheck to paycheck and struggle. And then I wasn't worthy or deserving of any of these blessings, I didn't think very highly of myself. To go from that to where I am, based on changing my belief, changing my thought process, changing my action steps and looking at everybody, as many people as I can in that audience and just saying, You can do this too, because God does not play favorites. And if you see somebody with a success you desire, get excited, get really excited because I believe that's God's way of showing you that it's possible for you too. And, I can't wait to share that message with the world. • So I really wanted you on this podcast because I feel it's so important to discuss emotions like anger and frustration. I feel like when people are doing these mindset practices, when they're really trying to grow spiritually and they're trying to be more connected and they're trying to just be a better person overall, that when these emotions come up. It can be really challenging, it can be conflicting because part of them could say, Well, I shouldn't be angry, I shouldn't be upset, I shouldn't be frustrated. I feel like I'm growing spiritually, I feel like I'm becoming a better person. I feel like I'm letting go of thoughts and feelings that aren't serving me. Like Why am I still frustrated and why am I so angry? And it can turn into a shame and guilt. (03:35)• Right, so we're trying to figure out what we do with that. So what I like to lead people into is a power source anger, empowered anger. So, what this means to me is recognizing that it is a powerful emotion, it's actually a fuel and a power source, if we understand what it is, and that if somebody is invoking that feeling in us, it's actually an opportunity for empowerment. It's an opportunity for us to look at, Hey, have I been calling power into my life somewhere, and if I have, how can this opportunity of this anger that I feel be a fuel for the very thing I want to get done? If that makes sense. So to channel that fuel for me, a lot of times when I get angry, I allow myself to put it right into cleaning my house, and I clean my house better than I ever normally do, because of the fuel of the anger. And I always turn and I thank the person that got me mad, I'm like, Thank you so much, I really need to clean my house, and I just channel that anger into something that's helpful to me. (06:05)• So again, there's a couple of different layers here. So, sometimes we don't have the luxury of immediately understanding why that anger is coming up, it kind of takes over our brain for a minute and we really just feel like the raw emotion of anger. So the best thing we can do is educate our self ahead of time and recognize, first of all, this isn't something I want to hold within myself. Because anger can actually turn into a very toxic emotion and can contribute to situations, even cancer in the body that's un-expressed, bottled up, held in anger that ends up eating us up inside. So the first thing we want to realize is no, I don't want to keep this inside, I don't want to validate it. (09:30)• If you think about the quality of anger is often associated with the planet Mars or red, and its fire actually, it's the fire element in us, and so if we hold on to fire, what can happen? We can get burned. And so that anger in us is a powerful energy, I think of life force energy changes forms, sometimes it's fire, sometimes it's like solid grounding energy, sometimes it can blow through and it has all these different elemental qualities. And the ways that you just mentioned, like the workout is awesome. I feel like anything that can take that energy and channel it into something that is helping our life, which exercise does, exercise channels that fire into a usable energy, which passion and warrior movements and so forth are also associated with, that Martian, sort of firey energy. But then the other things like screaming, even though that can feel really good, and sometimes we just have to do it, we just have to let it out and scream. (12:51)• Definitely. Culturally, we have a big opportunity right now. Everyone's suppressed emotions are coming out all over the place, and we see a lot of what we might say is ugly, but when we really let ourselves become self-responsible and go, Well, you know what, this has been under the surface all along, this has been the unspoken stuff all along. I know I grew up in a family which was very Christian, but we weren't allowed to show anger and hate to each other, it was of the devil or whatever, but what I realized is that that suppressed a lot of what I really felt over the years, and it took me some time in my adult life to come to terms with those emotions and realize, You know what, they aren't so big, when I just allow them their proper place. Like if I give them their proper place, they actually can become servants to me, and like I said, my anger now fuels my house cleaning. • Everybody has emotions, everybody feels angry, sad, frustrated, happy, blissful, joyful. We all have these emotions, it's human nature, and I feel like it's been really shamed upon a lot for people to be angry or get upset. And therefore people suppress it and to press it and suppress it, they don't want to show it. So maybe behind closed doors is when they blow up at a loved one, when they blow up at their kids, because around other people, they want to seem nice and happy and kind, and you know, I'm not angry, who me? (02:37)• I don't want to feel this way, or I'm going to let go of saying... 'I just like you every day or you're ugly, you're fat like, I'm going to let that go, or... You can't amount to anything. I'm going to stop saying those things to myself, I'm going to let it all out, I'm going to let go, and I'm going to clear, clear, clear. I'm going to do the Hoʻoponopono, I'm going to forgive myself, I'm going to forgive people along the way who have upset me, who have triggered me who have allowed me to get angry and frustrated and maybe done things that I didn't want to do. (05:12)• And I'm not saying it's okay to just start cussing somebody out and being aggressive with somebody when you're angry, but... You know what I'm saying? Somebody's losing their cool, just give them compassion and maybe say a little prayer for them, God go into their heart and really help them and to lead with love and know that you don't have to be angry to get their way... That's another thing too. I think a lot of times it's a practice, some people were taught growing up, to get my way, I have to be angry. (08:10)• Don't take anything personally. That's one of the four agreements. Don't take anything personally, really? it's not always easy to do. But you'll live a much more freer life if you can just kind of shrug that off. Like, Oh wow. What's wrong with them? Right? I want to read you something, 'What if everything around you isn't quite as it seems, what if all the world you think you know is an elaborate dream, and if you look at your reflection, is that all you want to be? What if you could look right through the cracks, would you find yourself afraid to see?' Okay, so that if you don't recognize it, is a Nine Inch Nails song, one of my favorite songs. I was on my run the other day and that song popped on and I thought, Well, you know how sometimes you hear lyrics and you're like, Well, that really struck me with the conversation we're having today in the theme of this marked with anger and frustration, and it really got me thinking, what if everything... There's two parts actually. What if everything is a Dream? You know, it's a story in your head, like we've talked about, everything has to do with what you're thinking about, what you're believing in... You believe that the world is terrible, life sucks and you die, and then that's how your world is. But if you believe there's prosperity, abundance and good people out there, then you will see more of that, right? • I'm in my second season, so my first season of Heal Into Happy is all about the different modalities that I've utilized to help me heal into happiness, and then I was contacted by a guy named Martin Rutte, he lives in Canada, and he has things flagged going all over the Internet, when anyone talks about Heaven on Earth. And so some of my first season of Heal Into Happy I talk about that. And so that got flagged for him and he reached out to me. He is a writer of Chicken Soup for the Soul, and just very famous in the world of being on different shows and things like that, he's written a book about Heaven On Earth, and so he likes to become friends with people that are joining what he's doing and hearing about how they're contributing. And if I had ever heard of him... Which I hadn't, and so it was really cool. I actually bought his book about Creating Heaven On Earth, and I asked him to be on my podcast, and he asked me the three questions that are in his book about creating heaven on earth that I asked you. And at the end, he says, What are you going to do to continue this? And I said, Martin, I'm so inspired by you. I'm going to have a whole second season that I bring on all of the people that are nearest to dear to me, that inspire me, and we're going to explore this to just keep co-creating, to keep bringing it into everybody's awareness. (4:11)• I feel like with Sophia Code and all of the things that I've learned around that, and then just thinking about Jesus and everything Jesus did, I feel like that was his message, that we all are powerful, that we can all heal. He inspiring people by what he was able to do and letting us know that we're no different, and so if we have Christ's consciousness running through us, which I believe that we do, it just makes sense... And I feel God is so excited and blessing me in so many different ways for following this path of making this part of my life's journey, passion, work, project to just do. And it's like all of these things are finding me like Martin, to cheer me on. Like, you're on the right path. (6:38)• Yes, acknowledging what we already have allows us to receive more, just by being present, I feel like that is such a huge missing puzzle piece with everybody on technology and... Go, go, go, go, go. It's like people wake up in the morning and the alarm clock goes off and then it's just like the day controls them, and so having a presence, to wake up with gratitude and then just being in the moment, spreading the jam on your kids peanut butter and jelly or something, and just being so appreciative that you have that food to provide for them as they go off to school. And I bless Stella's school and have all of the angels come around and stay with her all day, and I mean, I feel like it's a beautiful thing, presence... And really being aware of each now moment is such a gift and something that we do really well together. I feel like that is one of the things that has helped us manifest all of the things that we've desired. (10:28)• That's so true, because you do have to have your cup filled first before you can give that to anybody else, so... I love that. Well, last week we talked about mirror work, where we talked about that in the mindset Chick Podcast. We talked about doing mirror work and going into the mirror every morning after you brush your teeth, looking at yourself and really finding something you love about yourself and getting in the habit of looking at yourself and saying, I love you, and picking out the beauty within yourself, your outer appearance, your inner world, and instead of criticizing, changing that habit to just send love to yourself. (16:34)• It's really, really cool to make a decision to spend five minutes and get something that you have a tactile experience with, deciding to peel an orange where it's just you and the orange. And how does it feel to peel it? And what does the peel smell like? And what does the orange smell like? And when you decide to put it in your mouth, just taking one little orange slice and tasting it. I feel like God put us here on this mystery school Earth to have our senses be explored and appreciated. When we're an etheric Angel we don't get to taste the orange. And so really having an experience in the present moment where you're utilizing all of your senses, that's a huge mantra for me. If I'm just discombobulated and I'm doing too many things, deciding to make that cup of tea and have the experience of making it. How does it taste? Enjoying the warmth of it, all of that stuff that you can do that really helps you get totally enveloped in the present moment, where in my opinion, what I found, that's where you feel God. You can't be stuck in your mind in some weird loop and really feel the presence of God, God is in those moments where you're enjoying this magnificent body that he's created to give you all the essential and physical feelings. • When we're not feeling good enough, when we're doubting ourselves, when something happens that we don't feel like is on our path, we're looking outside for the solution, we're looking outside of ourselves for the solution. We're not looking where the problem, the thoughts, the belief originated, we're not looking at where we drop the keys, we're looking outside of ourselves, we're looking for something else to change for us to be more loving for us, to be more kind for us, to love ourselves more. maybe we're wanting somebody to fill our cup, well, if they would tell me how beautiful I am, if I would get more accolades, if I would get more praise, if I would get more recognition then I'd feel good about myself. Then I would feel like I'm really worthy, then I would feel really beautiful. We're looking outside of ourselves for that recognition for that love and fulfillment, instead of going back to where those thoughts and beliefs originated, Hey, I don't feel like I really love myself. I wake up in the morning, I look in the mirror, I don't love what I see. I tend to pick out the things that are going wrong with my body, my face, my hair, my mind, all that stuff, instead of telling myself, Hey, I love you. (05:44)• And you know what I think, for myself, I have really worked on... And a lot of this, this is why I talk about it, a lot of healing, a lot of sending more love to myself, a lot of working on the inside, looking for my keys on the inside versus trying to look on the outside and say, Well, it's just the hand I was dealt, these things happen to me. So that's why I'm the way I am. Stop looking on the outside, but really working on the healing journey within, which really helped me to not be as angry and frustrated. But do I still get angry and frustrated? Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. It's just a normal human response. So I did want to share that, because that's been on my mind, and that's why I want to talk about that in March. Don't beat up on yourself if you feel like you've made some decisions or you've been quick to anger or judgement or frustration, it's a part of being human, but there are healthy ways when those emotions come up to work with them, by not shaming or being upset with yourself or feeling like you have to be perfect. (09:08)• Thank you for continuing to show up. This week I want to do a little practice and I would love for you to do with me. Let's send more love to ourselves by doing this every single day. I love you, I love you, thank you for showing up today. (10:37)• You want to up-level you're manifesting mojo if you want people to be more loving and kind to you. Maybe you're trying to call in that loving relationship, maybe you're trying to call in that amazing business opportunity that's going to change your life. You want to make more money. It first starts by loving yourself and loving yourself is the basis to everything. You can't call in higher things into your life if you're constantly beating yourself up and saying ugly things to yourself and not being loving and kind to yourself. You're on a different vibration from receiving more miracles, blessings, joy, abundance, prosperity, that's more on the love vibration. So if you're into the beating up, complaining, picking out things that aren't good for you, judging yourself actually in a lower vibration, and what we've learned through this podcast is what? • If the sun is out, you are doing something, you are producing something, you're being productive, sitting around is lazy... You're not being productive in society, you need to be doing something. And so I grew up with that mindset mentality, that's what my family taught me, and that's what they believed. And You know what? I've looked back at my past and everything, and I blessed everything because you know what, everything's just been a blessing in my life because I do believe that growing up that way, it did push me to accomplish a lot of great things in my life. Because I was always doing something, I was always producing and I never wanted to sit down because I grew up that that was, you know, lazy and you weren't being productive. So I didn't want to feel lazy, I didn't want to shame myself for sitting around and just relaxing. I always had to be doing something. but as I got older and started really studying the Law of Attraction and really studying manifestation, I learned something really, really huge. (01:54)• But when I stepped into the Allowing, and here's what it looks like, okay, this is the allowing... The allowing is, I'm going to wake up every single morning and I'm going to do my morning mindset. I'm going to spend at least an hour through my morning mindset, doing my magic five morning mindset, which you can get off my website at mindsetchick.com, It's my morning mindset routine I do... I'm going to do some tapping, I'm going to do some visualization, I'm just going to get in a high vibe, I'm going to set my attention for the day, then I'm going to go work out. Okay, I'm going to go work out, and then when I come back, I'm going to start taking the action steps on my business, reaching out to people, following up, doing some social media posts, doing my to-do list, things like that. And in between those things, yes, I might return messages and I may do a post on social media after my work out or maybe having breakfast with somebody, but I'm going to show up and take the action. The mind to action and the physical action of reaching out to people following up, doing a post and then doing the mind to action, and then I'm going to sit back and Allow. (06:56)• When I see the hustle, you got to work around the cloud, you got to make it happen. Make it happen. Make it happen. I just cringe because I think gosh there's such a different way. I don't feel like God intended us to wake up every morning and say, feet on the floor, go to work all day long. Go to work, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, go, until we come back and we're exhausted, tired and burned out. I believe we're made to put our feet on the floor, wake up, have some time to wake up. Have some time for prayer, have some time for gratitude, has some time to get up and have our coffee and go outside and look at the birds. Have some time to sit in appreciation, take time for ourselves, take care of our body, go for a walk, go for a workout. Make time to work on our business, get the things done that we need to do, and then take some time for rest, relaxation, focusing on what's important in life, family friends, being present in the moment, nature. I really believe that that is how we were made to live and we've been caught up so much in this hustle, because the amount of success we have has been tied to our worthiness. We're already worthy guys, we're already worthy of amazing and great things. (11:22)• Appreciate and appreciate more. You now have boundaries, have business hours, have non-business hours, but don't drive ourselves into a crazy frantic work around the clock mentality because you don't have to do that to be super successful. Let me just tell you right now, you don't have to do that to be super successful, and most people that I see that are working like that, they either have success but they're burned out, or they can't get to that next level of success and they can't figure out why you're doing all the things. But they can't figure out why the thing they're not doing is Allowing... The thing they're not doing is leaning back and letting God take the wheel. The thing they're not doing is holding the faith in the vision that their dreams and goals are possible. • I'm really proud of you for doing X, Y, Z, and just really stepping into that appreciation and loving attitude and sharing it, because sometimes we hold back and we don't share... Maybe we see somebody, a stranger on the street or in the store, right? And we walk by and go, Wow, she looks really pretty, or she was really pretty hair, or I like her outfit. We don't say anything. But why not just say, Oh, I love you're hair, it's really beautiful... Or, you look so good, I love those shoes. You look so great. It can literally light somebody up... And how many of you have done that? (05:31)• You can always say, That's an interesting point of view, I'll take that into consideration. That's it. I mean, why do you need to say anything else? Right? I know I've said it before on these podcasts, but if you want to change the world, it starts with you. If you want to see more love in the world, if you want to see more people united and lifting each other up, it starts with you... It starts with me, it starts with us like changing our inner world. If we want to see more love, we have to be a loving being, we have to have an attitude of love, you to have to have an attitude of gratitude. We have to focus on the things that we do want to see in the world and not focus on the things that we don't. (07:45)• As a coach and a leader in my business, I'm always coaching people through things and supporting them to break through what's no longer serving them so that they can live out their best life and manifest their best business, you know the business of their dreams. And one thing I always share with people is that you can't manifest a successful booming business when you're thinking about the lack, or you're focusing on what's not going right, or you're in a state of judgment, or you're in a state of comparing. You're in a state of tearing yourself down, you're in a state of worry, you can't manifest these amazing things into your life from that state. Because whatever you focus on comes back to you. Whatever you are thinking about and focusing on... You're planting the seeds for more of that to come into your life. (09:58)• And what I like to do when I'm in these situations and I'm thinking, Oh, who could I bless today? Who could I serve today? Who really needs to hear from me today? I'll just close my eyes and say a little prayer and say, God lead me in the right direction, and let me know who to reach out to, or give me the wisdom and the words to say on this team call tonight, or on this podcast... What are the activities I should do today? So I really tune in and I say a prayer, and that's how I ask for a lot of divine guidance. • And here's the thing, guys, if I would have listened to all the people in my life that told me that I my beauty business wouldn't work, that the products wouldn't work. That I shouldn't be doing this, I should be doing something else, I wouldn't be where I am today. In this business, I was able to retire my husband from corporate America, earn 16 paid vacations from the company to luxurious places, being able to drive a Cadillac Escalade and receive payments from the company for that... Everything that has happened in my life, being able to meet so many people from around the world that I never would have met without this beauty business, and being able to support them to build their own freedom-based business and use non-toxic vegan gluten-free, amazing hair & skin care and wellness products. The beauty business I'm in is the number one premium hair care brand In the US, that's huge! And we've only been open seven years. The momentum is great, the business has brought myself and my family so much joy. (02:58)• You could be in the planting phase where you're basically showing up and you're doing the action steps, and you're doing the mindset practices, but you don't see the fruit. Yeah, that's okay, that's the part where you got to keep going, because that's where most people give up and they give up right before there's fruit. Right before they see that fruit flourish and come to fruition, they give up during that season. So there's always a time for planting and there's a time for growth, so wherever you are, how do you hold a strong mindset? How to you keep a strong mindset even if things aren't going your way, or you're having any kind of fear or doubt? (06:39)• But I will tell you, it wasn't easy. Especially at the beginning, not to be super frustrated with the airline and what had happened and the chaos, and they couldn't give answers and all this stuff. But there was two ways that I could do it, I could freak out, I could start panicking, I could have anxiety and freak out mode, I can start yelling at somebody, or I could have taken it the way I did and said, Okay, here's the thing, everything is working out for me. Everything is working out for our family, we just have to bless this situation and we have to pour God's love over it. I'm just going to visualize and talk to my kids about visualizing their suitcases coming, that everything's going to be in there, everything's going to be exactly like it should be. And use this time like, Hey, we'll just go get the things you need in the meantime, and then your suitcases are going to show up. And you know when you lead with love, when you lead with kindness, when you control the freak out, when you control the, oh my gosh, the world's crashing and the fear of the uncertainty, but you look at it like, Okay, I can't control everything in my life obviously, but I can control how I respond to stuff and I'm going to respond to this with a more peaceful mindset. (14:30)• And I think for me, the more I've been able to not take things so seriously and get so attached to how things are going to be, but kind of moving with the flow of the energy and not how I feel like things should have been or should be, but just really moving with that flow and saying, Okay, God, take the wheel. Ultimately, you're in control. Ultimately, there's going to be things that come up that are out of my control, but it's really how, I respond. And my job is to hold the faith, and my job is to hold the vision, my job is to hold the belief that everything is working out for me, and that prosperity is all around me, abundance is all around me. I just have to believe it, I have to have faith. • You're just basically allowing life to determine your mood and your state of mind, and that can be a very scary place. We can't control the world, we can only control what we are thinking about, speaking about and what we're doing on a daily basis. So, with a strong mindset, you can combat that so much easier. So I want to encourage you to really, really get in the habit of having that mindset practice every single day. And that's how you're going to show your goals who's boss. Because you're basically saying, this is me, this is me, this is me, I am these goals. I'm waking up every day, and no matter what's happening, I'm carving out that time for my morning mindset practice. Because in order for me to reach my goals, I have to think different, I have to be different. (4:36)• I just said, Okay, God, I'm open, I'm open and ready to receive. Where do you see me? Where do you feel like you'll be a blessing for me and my family? And like I mentioned, I never saw myself in this opportunity, but I laid down my need to control, and I said yes, and it's been such a blessing. You can say something like, I am so grateful and thankful that I'm making this much money a month. I am so grateful and thankful that I have customers and clients just coming to me all the time. I am so grateful and thankful that I have a team of people who are excited about their business opportunity and excited to learn from me. I am so grateful and thankful that I have loving relationships, amazing friends, and I get to travel to fun, wonderful places. I am so grateful and thankful for immense health in my life, immense wealth, prosperity, joy. I am so grateful and thankful for the relationships that I have and all the amazing new relationships that are coming my way, I am so grateful and thankful that I am able to have a freedom-based business and lifestyle where I can work from anywhere, help a lot of people make an impact on the world and have a lot of fun. You basically just record three to five goals that you really, really desire to manifest in your life, you start with, I am so grateful and thankful. (11:14)• And you know what? When you're having an off day, you go play that and you listen to it and you say, Nope, I'm not going to listen to anything that's not in alignment with what I desire to manifest. And then you go, listen to your recording. That's the best time to listen to it my friend, if you're not feeling it, if you're not feeling high vibe, go listen to your story, make yourself listen to it five times, ten times, until you remember all the amazing things that you have in your life, until you remember how amazing and wonderful you truly are, when you remember that this is what you're creating, and you're not available for anything less, why? Because you're magnificent, and you're a child of a wonderful father who wants to bless you in abundance, it's your birthright. So, that is one of my powerful mindset practices that I still do to this day, and what's really cool with it is that as you manifest your goals, you can create a new one and a new one, and a new one. It can change, and then you can go back and listen to the ones that you first created and go, Wow, that happened. • We're kind of starting the day with this intention, we are actually claiming our day, we're prophesying our day, we're saying, Hey, this is how my day is going to go, and when we have a thought, we have a thought over and over and over that becomes our beliefs and believes are very, very, very hard to change unless we really do some big work around it. Have you ever gotten in a conversation with somebody who was really dead set on a certain belief that they have and you believe the opposite, and you're telling them your side, they're telling you their side? It's not easy for somebody to go, do you know what? I've had this belief for 20 years, but now that you said that, I think I'll change. (3:16)• Are you prophesying, are you claiming things into your life, are you calling things into your life that you don't want? If so, stop it! Stop saying that if you are saying, Well, I'm old now, I'm in my 40's, I can't move as fast as I once did. Stop saying that! Or are you saying that because that's how you want to live? If you want to be strong in your 40s, in your 50s, in your 60s, say it, I'm healthy, I move fast. I feel just as great as I did in my 20's. Age is just a number. I feel amazing, I can't wait to see what the day is going to bring. I feel strong, I feel great, I feel alive! Stop saying things that are bringing you down, keeping you stuck, tired and broke, all that stuff. Stop it! (6:34)• And I realized that the words that you speak are so powerful. In my story that I share on my introduction of the Mindset Chick Podcast, I basically for years was calling in everything that I didn't want in my life. My husband worked two jobs, we struggled with the bills, we struggled with money, going on a vacation was just not even in the cards for us, having any extra money for savings was just like, are you kidding me? I mean, I'm happy to be able to have money to go to the grocery store. Do you want me to build a savings and think of a college fund and all this stuff, that wasn't even the cards for me. I didn't even realize for years I was calling in everything that I didn't want, I was broke, stuck, overweight, unhappy. And all I did is I talked about it, I talked about it, I talked about it, I talked about it, I talked about it. Talked about it with myself, I talked about it with other people, I complained, I was prophesying it, I was calling it in until I realized that what I was doing was keeping myself broke, stuck, unhappy, and overweight. If I wanted to change my situation, I first had to change my language, I had to change my thoughts, I had to change my daily action steps, my daily habits, I had to change because it wasn't working. (9:19)• And it's not always easy, but I can find good every day, I can choose to focus on the good, I can choose to respond differently, I can choose to take control over my life, I can choose to stop letting life happen to me, and I can start creating the life I want, I can choose today. • I'm going to subscribe to the possibility of good things happening, I'm going to subscribe to the possibility of great things happening for myself, for my family, for the world, because I know that God is ultimately in control. As much as I try to control my life and what's going to happen, at the end of the day. God, source energy, the Universe, whatever you want to call it, a higher power is ultimately in control. (2:54)• It's my path guiding me to be a better version of myself, to heal, to go through things that maybe I need to go through, and not look at it like I'm off my course, but I'm still on my course. Because not every day is going to be wonderful and roses and happy, happy, happy, right? But we have a choice in how we respond to our day, are we going to respond to our day with an icky-grumpy attitude? Or, are we going to respond to our day and say, You know what, maybe it's not going exactly like I want it, but I'm going to find the good today. (6:30)• I've just never really been one of those people that want to go sit in front of a movie. I would actually rather be in the movie, I'd rather be acting, singing, whatever, that's just me. But this movie kept me on my toes and the edge of my seat. I didn't even want to get up and go to the bathroom. I wanted to watch every moment. I saw myself in this movie, and I think so many of us could see ourselves in this movie. It was a story about Kurt Warner and basically, he had this vision of being in the NFL. I have to take this path and I have to study more, I have to learn more of the skills, I've got to up-level, my manifesting mojo. I've got to get serious. I've got to get disciplined. Whatever it is, but my goal, my dream is possible because God doesn't play favorites. And if I see somebody with the success I desire, I need to get really, really, really excited because it's possible for me too. And I'm claiming it, 2022 is my year! • So there was a book, I don't even know if it's still... I guess I would still be around. It was a cook book, it was called 5 ingredients, 15 minutes, and it was a cookbook on how all you needed was five ingredients in 15 minutes to cook healthy meals for your family. I thought this was fabulous, I loved it, I pretty much cooked almost everything in there. One of the things that I absolutely love in that book that I still cook today or make today, I guess I should say, is a chili recipe. It's five ingredients, 15 minutes. And so I thought, Wow, this is mind blowing, here I am thinking that it was going to be so expensive and take so much time and energy cooking healthy meals, and it only calls for five ingredients and 15 minutes. (4:11)• Okay, remember what I said before about the 80-20 rule? It doesn't have to be all or nothing, but maybe find a healthy eating plan that works for you, healthy exercise plan that works for you, and it's going to change your life. When you feel better, everything else in your life is going to respond to you differently. So it's so, so important, and the way I like to do things, I'm not saying you should do this, but I'm just saying me. I like to eat more, less refined carbohydrates, lower sugar, more clean, eating more protein, vegetables, fruits without high sugar, and then I like to do some fasting, so after I'm done eating my dinner, sometimes I have my Skinny Pop. (9:11)• Maybe it's a different dessert or a snack that you're having that you're thinking, Oh, maybe if I just cut this out or maybe it's not going to the fast food, and maybe you're doing that every day. Could you cut that out twice a week and just go the other days? You can cut down gradually, just like the manifesting process, just like thinking differently and creating new habits is a process. It's just taking it step by step by step by step. It doesn't have to be a whole 180. You start small, you might start with 30 minutes of exercise and then start loving it and start going, Wow, now I want to do an hour a day. The healthy eating, you might start taking a couple of things away that aren't serving you or not making you feel at your optimal best, and then you might start saying, Wow, I really enjoy eating like this. (11:20)• Think about something that you could start maybe taking away that isn't serving you, and then you'll be intentional with your eating. Then we just change a few things in your eating process or maybe, Hey, you're ready to go, you know what Kristi had been waiting for a sign. I've been waiting for an opportunity to just really, really change on my eating rituals and I'm ready. I'm going all in. That's totally fine too. • So I want to talk about a key component to really taking care of yourself and self care, and that is getting in some exercise. Now, if you don't exercise on a regular basis, you might be really resisting this idea of exercise. I have met some people and also some of my friends who are like, Oh my gosh, no way I don't have time for exercise, I don't exercise. It sounds dreadful. It sounds awful. That's the last thing that I want to do. It's like I'd rather go to the dentist and exercise. Here's what I'm going to encourage you to do to start doing, to start doing this week and then hopefully make it a habit. (2:18)• If you're not doing any type of exercise and that can be walking. It doesn't have to be a full on boot camp. It doesn't have to be weightlifting but walking. But getting in the habit of taking care of you. Guys exercise is so important. Our bodies were made to move. They're not made to sit in a chair all day. You're made to move. And once you hit the age of 30, you actually start losing a little bit of muscle every week unless you do something about it. So lifting weights, exercise, walking can help you to just live a more healthy lifestyle. (3:50)• Every day I have a routine. I wake up, I make my bed. That's a new thing for me too, but I make my bed. I love it because I'm setting the tone for the day. I go to my favorite spot in the living room, or either outside, depending on the weather outside, by the pool and I do my morning mindset, I do my prayer and then I check a few messages. I do a social media post and then I get out the door to work out. And here's a little trick that I learned as a personal trainer, when I get up in the morning, I get up, go brush my teeth, do my daily morning routine, and then I put on my exercise clothes. I don't allow myself to put on comfy clothes or anything like that. I put on my workout clothes and then I go. (5:33)• You're never going to be able to run again. Never going to be able to do yoga. You can do that, the back surgery. But you know, you could possibly. But I mean, without it, you're not going to be able to do it anyways. I was just crushed. I actually had in my mind set on of my goals. One of my dreams is to do a half ironman, which is a combination of swimming, biking and running. I really wanted to do that. So for I took off exercise, I took off everything I actually got kind of like, you know, pretty annoyed because I just started eating whatever I wanted and I didn't exercise. And at the time, it was really, really hard for me to do coach classes because I couldn't really do anything my back because hurt so bad and I couldn't show up fully. (12:01)• There's something to that and it's actually showing your body, Hey, I love you. I'm going to take care of you. I'm going to support you. You're doing all these things for me. You're running around here, you're running around there, or you're thinking, you're working, you're strategizing, you're coming up with ideas. You're maybe taking care of a family, you're cleaning house. I've got to put the right fuel in my body, got to put the right gas in my car, the right fuel on my body, right? • Okay, so moving on with self-care, I really hope that you were able to do the challenge and really get the benefits out of it, and I really want to share with you a really cool affirmation I thought would be cool to add on to your daily routine. So here it is, 'Every day in every way, things are getting better and better for me now. I am at peace. All as well.' (2:42)• I do believe in a healthy balance, I do believe, as you know, from listening to the Mindset Chick Podcast, like taking action steps, I love to wake up, have my morning coffee, do my morning mindset. That's taking action steps on my self-development, on my personal growth in my prayer. I go to a bootcamp class pretty much every day, unless I am so sure I can't move, I might go walk, but I'm doing some kind of physical activity, and then I'm going in my office, I'm working towards my business goals, my personal goals in my office recording podcast episodes. So there is a balance. (5:01)• So much of their bodies, their minds are just worn out, and even adults can be like that, and I've talked to some friends that are like, Well, I've gotta take my kids here then I've gotta take my kids there, then I've gotta do this and I've gotta do that, and that's great if everybody is enjoying it, but if it gets to a point where you're just overwhelmed, exhausted, feeling burnt out, feeling like you have a short fuse, then why are you doing it? Why does everybody need to be that busy? (6:14)• Is there some things on my to-do list or some activities that I've committed to that I can ask for help or I can take off my list and maybe say, You know what, now is not the right time. I'd love to help out, but I just can't do it right now and not feel guilty about it. Because here's the thing, You are important, filling your cup is important, taking time for you is important, knowing what you want in life and valuing yourself enough to give yourself time, quiet, ease, stillness is so important, nurture yourself, love on yourself, be kind to yourself, and don't take that as lazy, take that as the way life is... Life is full of balances, you have work hours, if you're an entrepreneur like myself have work hours and after a certain time, turn your phone off. (8:25)• God, thank you so much for my legs, thank you for blessing me with these legs and I'm able to get up and walk and move and run and work out, and I'm just going to send them so much love. And I'm so grateful and thankful for my legs, I'm so grateful and thankful that they are just strong and healthy, and I just love them so much and I'm just going to appreciate them and value them and give thanks for them and how they work for me all the time. There's so many days I just take for granted my legs and move me around and they allow me to get from place to place, and God just thank you so much for my legs, I love them, they're beautiful and wonderfully made in the image of you. • You know, around the holidays can be such a busy time, or thinking about everybody else, we're thinking about gifts, we're thinking about presents, we're thinking about our budget, maybe you're working more, putting in more hours, maybe you feel like you're running around with your head cut off, but that's why we're going to be intentional this month with really focusing on you and self-care. And I'm going to give you some action steps to do very simple steps that you can start doing right away to give yourself the attention and the nurturing that you need. (3:36)• Well, basically, that's what self-care is, if you're depleted, if you're worn out, if you're feeling like you don't have the energy to take care of yourself, how are you going to really take care of others? And maybe you find yourself running on survival, like... Well, I have so many things to do, I have to do all this stuff. But when you're taking care of others, who you're spending time with others, maybe your family, your friends, your children, you feel like you're snapping, you feel like you aren't giving them the best version of yourself because you don't have that best version to give, and sometimes as women we sometimes hold things in because we're the nurturers and we feel maybe guilty for not wanting to. (5:05)• Okay, I want to encourage you to write this down. Every day, I want you to find five minutes of quiet time, so five minutes of quiet time every day. That can be where you're meditating, that can be where you're in prayer, that could be where you're just turn your phone on 'Do Not Disturb'. You don't have any music on nothing, you go out, you look at nature, maybe you just know you're in the middle of your walk and you just take out your headphones and in just five minutes you're just walking with peace and quiet. Okay, five minutes of quiet time. That's it, at least. You want to do more? Do more. I know some of you guys like to meditate for you 20-30 minutes, I love to do that. I set my alarm for 20-30 minutes. But I just want to encourage you to do at least five minutes of quiet. (8:21)• Think of something that you love about yourself. So I'm going to give you some time, maybe you can think about something that you love about yourself. And maybe that's your stomach, maybe that's your legs, maybe it's your eyes, maybe it's your hair, your skin, your personality, that you're smart. Maybe you love that you're committed and you get up and you work out, and you exercise pretty frequently, maybe you love that you're disciplined with your health and wellness. Whatever that is, I want you to think of something that you love about yourself. And I want you to send that part of you love... So what I want you to do is focus on that one thing all week from Tuesday to Tuesday. I want you to send that part of you love. Any time you think about that part, I want you to send it love. (10:45)• We can always learn to be better in our lives, we can always take things away to be a better person and be a better friend, but at the same time, not beating up on parts of ourselves that are just us and that make us, and not apologizing for shining brightly or having a personality that is different than somebody else, just really embracing it, and it feels good. So I want to encourage you to do the same, find something of yourself that you love, and maybe it's like me, maybe it's a part of you that you've gone on and off again. I have this weird relationship. You're like, I love you. No, I don't, I love you. No, I don't, I love you, I don't, but just today and this week, say I love you, I love you, I love you. • I'd love to just challenge you to stop and think about five things you're grateful for. I just want to give you a second to just think about that and feel it, feel into that space about how grateful and thankful you are that these five things are in your life right now. Think about how amazing it is that you already have these things in your life, maybe some things that you recognize that you have maybe taken for granted and didn't really appreciate until you really starting to become aware of it. Like appreciating more, like we've been doing this month, but just really stepping into that appreciation and gratitude. Maybe it was having an amazing Thanksgiving with friends and family, maybe it was having a Thanksgiving with not as many friends and family. Maybe it was being by yourself, like the quiet time, the relaxation. Everybody's Thanksgiving can look different, and that's okay, but just really appreciating five things in your life right now. (2:23)• Who would be around you? How would you respond when this thing manifests in your life? Would you jump for joy? Would you scream? Would you have a smile on your face? Would you go celebrate? I want you to think about that right now. Think about who you would tell, who would be around you, what we would do, how you would celebrate, and you're just pouring so much love and gratitude on this... You're just saying, I knew it was going to happen. I knew that God was going to bless me with this, I know that it's going to show up, I knew it was going to show up in my life. I'm so grateful and thankful this has showed up in my life. (4:30)• Now we're putting things out to manifest, but are we really in control? No, God's in control, right? I usually just put this imaginary bubble of golden light around my family members of just health and wellness and protection, and just seeing angels around them and God around them, and saying, You are protected, your are loved, you're protected, your are loved. You are well and healthy, and they have been very, very healthy and well, so I just continue to just do that. Put that bubble around them and making sure I'm putting thoughts of goodness out there for them. But I've really tried to stop worrying about the future or what could happen or things in the past that maybe I could have changed or I could have done different with my kiddos, and I just really being in the present, because the present is all we have this moment. (9:16)• I am going to have faith and trust in the Universe that This or Something Better is coming my way. And my job right now is to just be in gratitude, gratitude for things that I have gratitude for, things not yet manifested, and just being really, really present in this moment and giving thanks for this moment, in this moment of being alive. You know, whether that's being by yourself and just having some quiet time, maybe that's getting a massage, maybe that's driving down the road to go somewhere, you can look at that with appreciation, like, Hey, at least I have a car and I'm on my way somewhere. Having lunch with friends, being with your loved one, just being in that moment of gratitude and appreciation for that moment, and giving so much thanks that you are there right there and giving that person that you're with your undivided attention. (12:08)• So that's what I want to encourage you to do right now, just give thanks, say a little prayer of gratitude, God, thank you so much for this moment in my life right now. Thank you Universe, for this moment in my life right now. Thank you for everything that you've given me. I'm so grateful and thankful for everything that I have and everything that's on its way to me, and so it is... • We can get caught up in fear, fear can become a habit. Things can work out for us, we can manifest some great things, and then all of a sudden we start having fear come up, 'What if this doesn't last, what if it's not going to work out, what if I can't hit that goal again, what if this was a one-time thing, who am I to really make that kind of money or have that success, or who am I kidding?' So that fear can come up to try to bring us down. It's so true though, when you replace that with gratitude, when you start having gratitude as your daily habit, 'I am just gonna be so grateful and thankful for this day for waking up, for having a roof over my head for having running water or having some of the little things that happen', it can totally replace fear. (2:11)• She says, One of her quotes is, 'being in gratitude for the not yet manifested informs the Universe that you know that what you desire already exists and it puts you in the right frequency to receive it'. Think about that for a second, being in a state of gratitude for the not yet manifested, informs the Universe that you know that what you desire already exists, and it puts you in the right frequency... If you're doing the magic five morning mindset, it is three steps for five minutes each a day, 15 minutes total of just writing down your goals, speaking them aloud and visualizing them. (5:50)• Sometimes we think, Well, that's easy. because it's small, but this is something bigger, so that's harder. Well, here's the thing, the Universe doesn't see things like that, it's only us. So manifesting a million dollars is the same as manifesting 10 dollars, it's just our belief around it. So let me say something to you, to think about this. I'm going to say, Hey, I'm going to manifest a million dollars, think about how you feel with saying, Hey, I'm going to manifest a million dollars versus I'm going to manifest 10 dollars... Think about that for a second. Does that feel different to you? Maybe it doesn't, maybe you're like, No, it's fine. I'm going to manifest a million dollars, most of the time, most people are probably going to have a different reaction, Oh, a million dollars, oh my gosh, I'm going to have to do this and that. I'm going to have to work harder or I'm going to have to get way more clients and hit certain ranks and really grow my business. (13:07)• Whatever that looks like, but you can notice that it's really about your resistance, it's really about how you feel about what you desire to manifest, because the Universe says, You are abundant, the Universe says you're worthy of everything you desire and more. The Universe says, You're capable of great things. God says, You're capable of great things. God says, you're worthy and deserving of all of the abundance that the Universe has to offer and more. So it's us, we put limits on ourselves, and one of the ways that we can stop putting the limits on ourselves is by being grateful and thankful of all the things we already have, of living in a state of appreciation by appreciating the things that we have, by appreciating the small things, by appreciating the manifestations that have already happened. So maybe there are some small things that you've manifested that you kind of put to the side, like and it doesn't really matter, but appreciating those, hey, if I can manifest that, I can manifest this. (13:57)• Watch the words that come out of your mouth. If you're saying that things are hard to manifest, things are difficult to manifest, be careful with your words, your words are your wand, you know what you speak about, you bring about... And they really do make an impact on your life, and not only your life, but your friends can pick up on it, your family can pick up on it. Your kids will pick up on it, you know, it's like, Do as I say, not as I do. It doesn't really work, right? So just think about that, think about just really, really being hyper-focused this week on being in a state of gratitude and appreciation for everything that you have and everything not yet manifested, and really think about that if there's some things in your life that you're quick to manifest, you have zero doubt. • I noticed this about my personality, is that, maybe you can relate... I set a goal, set an intention, I do my morning mindset, I really feel into it, and then you know when that goal comes to fruition, when I'm experiencing that goal, I'm on to the next goal. And while that's good, I'm always setting goals and I'm excited to see what shows up and manifest new things, and I'm excited about manifesting my goals, but I've noticed this about me and maybe with age comes more wisdom, but you know... But throughout a lot of my life, I haven't really taken the time to sit and appreciate what is already manifested, to really give thanks and really step into appreciation, and I've been really working on doing that a lot, a lot more than I ever have before. (5:33)• Or constantly be in this creation mode, I guess, and just leaning back even more and more and more and of course, as we know from the Mindset Chick podcast, the more you lean back, the more you take your hands off the wheel, the more that God, the Universe can guide you and bring you the right people and things that match your desires. Really that's how it works. So the more control we have and the more we're in a kind of I gotta do this, I gotta do that, I can do this. Even the manic manifesting like, Oh, I got to manifest. That kind of energy is going to limit your results. (7:26)• I just decided I'm going to be in silence, and I really appreciated the silence, and in that silence, I was driving, just thinking about all the things that have already happened in my life, all the things that I once desired to manifest. I was driving my Cadillac, and as a lot of you guys know, I manifested this Cadillac through the beauty business that I do. And so I'm driving my Cadillac Escalade, and I'm just thinking about the time when I was dreaming about driving this car, now I'm driving this car. I was thinking about dreaming about starting a podcast, and now I have a podcast. I was nervous to put myself out there, but like JFDI. Just freaking do it. Kristi did it. I was dreaming about having a very successful business where I could help inspire, mentor, coach and support people to be the best version of themselves, have a freedom-based lifestyle, moved to a home with a pool... All these things that have already happened, and I don't know if I've really taken that time to just sit and appreciate all those things. (8:51)• You can work through that, but if you're feeling like, Man, I'm feeling like this thing that I desire to manifest isn't showing up in time or not showing up the way that it should be, then you can come back and just take a little break and look at it from a different perspective and say, Okay. Well, what is showing up for me? What is coming into my life? What are the blessings that I already have? You know what's already there? In my beauty business... We have customers and we have business partners, and I coach a lot of my team, and when they say, I'm really working on this goal, this income goal or this business goal, and I feel like it's not showing up is not showing up. We go back to counting all of the customers, all the business partners, all the sales, all the income that they've already made in the business that they've already manifested, and it really shows them... They realize, Wow, I do have so many things to be grateful for. (12:17)• That story is beautiful, and it's just a symbol of what we can do in our own lives when we bless things, when we give things, when we have gratitude. When we sit in awe and appreciate everything we already have instead of running to the next thing and running to the next thing and running to the next thing, but just really even taking a moment, taking a day, taking a week, taking some time, and just sitting in appreciation. Sometimes people think, Well, gosh, I'm just sitting in appreciation, I need to be doing... Doing doing, I need to keep going. Yes, activity is great, but sometimes just being and staying in a state of appreciation is also doing... You're just doing it in a different way. You're doing it with your mindset way, when you're in a state of appreciation and gratitude, you're allowing great things to flow to you, you're just doing it with less effort. • I ended my 22-year marriage, it was a long time coming, but it was a destructive marriage, and so coming out of that I had a lot of healing to do, and I began a road to that, and part of that was counseling, I had already been in some counseling, but a lot of that was kind of like looking to coaches online of how to recover from abusive relationships and that kind of thing. Coaching on YouTube and stuff. And podcasts, and things to help me understand that I needed to grow... So fast forward a year and a half or so after my divorce, I knew I wanted to continue to help people understand what I was understanding, you can heal after these relationships that are toxic. And so I actually went to my counselor at the time and said, I even want to go back to school and get my Master's, and do Social work counseling, because I have a Psychology degree or I want to become a relationship coach. (2:24)• Yeah, and I love that you call yourself a calling in the one coach, because you know, that's what we talk about a lot on that Mindset Chick podcast, like calling in things that you want, and that was very powerful that you said that you were... Until you identified that you were repeating the same patterns, until you did your own healing... Absolutely, yeah, kind of looked within and realized what you were calling in, even though you wanted to leave that toxic marriage, as you said, then separating from that, wanting something different, but instead, without looking and doing the inner work or healing, you would just keep calling in the same type of person, right? Yes. (5:41)• Oh my gosh, I think it's so essential. It's a completely essential because you only have the capacity to love others as much as you can love yourself, I've come to realize that. So, I don't know, I think a lot of people think, Oh, it's selfish to talk about self-love. And self-love is not selfish, it's really the base for everything else, like how we can give to the world and how we can give to relationship, because we're going to show up for others, how we show up for ourselves, and it really does mirror our relationships, our relationship with ourselves. So it's funny because in calling in the one, many, many people will start the program because they do want to find love, they do want to find that soulmate and everything, but they'll end up calling in to find themselves, they end up finding out who they are in the process, and that actually leads them to where they can call in someone else, but it's so important to love yourself and love all the parts of yourself, parts that you want to change, even the negative things, because until you just have that self-acceptance, I just don't think you can accept anyone else? You're just going to feel like you have to be perfect all the time. (7:56)• Well, I'm glad you brought up about the emotions because that's the first part is really a lot of people, we go through life and we're in a culture or super busy where we have these goals and we're just ready to get there, but sometimes we get lost in the process, and we don't check in with ourselves. So I found a lot of clients, they have a hard time even recognizing what they're feeling, and then coaching practice that I have, we have a process where we help people learn how to daily check in with their emotions, and it's kind of like a meditative practice coupled with just a validating of like, Hey, you know these emotions are there, let me go ahead and feel that instead of ignoring them or wishing them away. Feeling them and then relating them to what they need at the moment, it's called the self-love power practice, and what do I feel and then what do I need? Even if they can't give themselves what they need at the moment, just acknowledging that they are feeling those things and acknowledging their need is powerful and it helps them to maybe understand where maybe there's a constructive impulse behind the emotions where it's gonna take them. (10:48)• When my clients come to me a lot of times they have a lot of shame with the past mistakes or things that they feel like they've failed in, I try to reframe it for them and say, Look, if you look at these experiences as learning tools instead of mistakes, and you can kind of take a shame and regret and change it and say, Okay, well, these are the building blocks that made me into the person that I am today, and without these experiences, I wouldn't have the wisdom I have, or I wouldn't be in this place where I want to grow personally, or I see that I'm stuck. And so it's really awesome when they can finally accept that the mistakes happen or really just see them as events that happened that were part of their journey and they can be grateful for them. • In all of us, there is those good qualities and characteristics, and then there's also those qualities and characteristics that maybe we sometimes don't totally love about ourselves. Maybe there are some things that we wish that we didn't act upon, maybe there are some things that we wish we could change about ourselves. So we're going to be talking about that today and kind of what that means, and how to just really love and appreciate yourself or where you are, what you've been through and how that can dramatically change your life. (3:13)• I think giving yourself permission to just be... Like we talked about with Natalie a few weeks ago, perfectly imperfect. Just give yourself permission not to have to be perfect, and just know that sometimes when contrast comes up in our lives, maybe there's a person that's really triggering us and maybe sometimes we respond the right way and sometimes we act out and we don't. To just learn to not beat up on ourselves, but to learn , Okay, I can still love myself, or I can take from this... What do I need to learn? What do I need to do in this situation? How can I grow? And something I've come to realize is, everybody in our life is like a mirror of what's really going on within us, and when we get triggered by somebody, it's actually something within us that we need to look at, that we need to recognize that we need to heal that, we need to have compassion for. (6:46)• When I was young, I was bullied a little bit, just for my looks and gaining some weight... I don't know, I mean, I was just not treated very kind. I took a lot of the things, I didn't know how to respond. I didn't know what to say when people would laugh or make fun of me, or say things that would make me feel sad, I would just be quiet. I didn't know how to respond. So fast forward until my teenage years, I was taking that and taking that and taking that in, I didn't really know a healthy way to express those emotions, so I suppressed them. and fast forward to my young adult life, when somebody said something that I felt like was hurtful or demeaning or condescending... Now I have a voice. Now, I could fire back, I was older, I was wiser, and I made this vow, nobody's going to talk to me like that. I'm not gonna allow anybody to talk to me like that, I'm going to fight back. I'm going to have a voice. (9:37)• Like the cycle that goes on and on. Not unless you recognize what's going on and start clearing it through tapping, EFT, through meditation, through journaling, maybe finding a coach, a mentor or somebody that can help you work past that. I've helped so many of my coaching clients and people on my team recognize certain patterns and beliefs and be able to move past that, but you can be stuck in this cycle, not really understanding why am I doing this or why is that person triggering me so much, or why am I allowing them to trigger me, until you really start working on yourself. (12:34)• So love that part of me that tends to be assertive, tends to speak up, tends to say what's on my mind, love that part, but also recognizes there's something in that, that I could have done differently. A way that I could have responded differently to have a different outcome, so I think that's so important is to just look at all the qualities and characteristics that you have and love all of them, they're the ones that you really like. It's easier to love, right? Maybe you have great hair or you love your eyes, and so easy to love your eyes in your hair, but maybe you don't totally love your stomach or your hips, or maybe that fiery personality, whatever it is that you feel like you have, maybe you suppress that or beat up on yourself about those things that you feel like you have that aren't great qualities. But loving those qualities and being grateful for those qualities, and when they come up in times that you wish they wouldn't have to ask yourself, What I've learned and how can I grow? Is there something more that I can release through this, is there a way? If I'm not totally loving my body, is there a way to eat healthier or get more exercise, not beating up on myself because of that, but just loving every part of me and showing myself love exactly where I am right now. • Nothing other people do is because of you, it is because of themselves. All people live in their own dream, in their own mind, they are in completely different world from the one we live in. When we take something personally, we make the assumption that they know what is in our world, and we try to impose our world on their world. If someone gives you an opinion and says, Hey, you look so fat, don't take it personally, because the truth is that this person is dealing with his or own feelings, beliefs and opinions. That person tried to send poison to you, and if you take it personally, then you take that poison and it becomes yours. (3:43)• Everybody has a choice in that situation, you can either take offence to that and get offended, or you can choose to let it go and realize that that was really about her, it wasn't really about me. Maybe she had some bad news this morning, maybe she was having a bad day, maybe she has had people feel like they've stepped in front of her in line and she was trying to be assertive and hold her place. Whatever it was, it's just a story that I'm making up in my head, I don't really know the truth. But whatever that is, realizing that I don't have to take it personally. (7:28)• People are busy. When you're young and you're a teenager, or even in middle school, you really think everybody's looking at you, everybody's judging you, it's all about you, you you. And then you get older and you realize like, Oh my gosh, nobody's even thinking about me, they're thinking about themselves or thinking about what they look like, they're making sure they don't look silly, they're making sure that they look a certain way or come across a certain way. People are thinking about themselves, they're not really thinking about us, and it's such a free place to be to realize that it's not all about you. And if somebody does something that hurts your feelings, I feel like it only hurts your feelings if you allow it to hurt your feelings. (9:03)• Just letting go, forgiving yourself for forgiving anybody else involved. Sending love and peace over that situation and energetically cutting the ties. Towards the end of the book, it says, as you make a habit of not taking anything personally, you won't need to place your trust and what others do or say, you will only need to trust yourself to make responsible choices, you are never responsible for the actions of others, you are only responsible for you. When you truly understand this and refuse to take things personally, you can hardly be hurt by the careless comments or actions of others. If you keep this agreement, you can travel around the world with your heart completely open, and no one can hurt you. You can say I love you without fear of being ridiculed or rejected, you can ask for what you need, you can say yes or you can say no, whatever you choose without guilt, or self-judgment, you can choose to follow your heart always. • And just because I call myself the Mindset Chick and talk about mindset and manifesting doesn't mean that I'm positive, happy, happy, happy all the time. Sometimes things happen to make us feel sad or make us really angry. I think sometimes they do when we're trying to be a better person, we beat up on ourselves for having emotions that aren't positive and happy and joyful all the time, but here's the thing, things can come up to make us feel something different, and being happy when people can say things to us that hurt our feelings. (2:46)• I heard something that I thought was really interesting, it says, sometimes we pray for God to get us out of a situation, so we're in a situation that maybe we don't necessarily like, and we say God, please get me out of this. Please get me out of this. Please heal me, Please make this right. Please let me get this job. Please let me have more customers, business partners, clients, whatever it is. But what about praying for God to come into the situation instead of praying to get you out? Come into this situation, blessing the situation, pouring God's love over the situation. (6:13)• If every time we wanted something, we just got it, really, where is the fun in that? You see, sometimes we miss the point, we think, Oh, it'd be fun if we just got everything we wanted, right? But we came down here to experience life and experience the journey, the journey. We sometimes forget about the journey, we just want the destination. We forget about the journey, the journey is where it's at, the journey is where the soul growth is, the journey is when we learn, the journey is how we grow, but it's what we do in that journey, and that process that determines our results, we get upset, we feel like we're not supported, we get angry, we get frustrated, and we start thinking about what's not going right, we start going into the mantra, I'm not enough, I don't have enough. Nothing works out for me, and then we manifest things that we don't want, but it's when we respond with, You know what? Things are working out, God always has my back. (8:26)• Our job isn't to figure it all out, our job isn't to plan out exactly how our good is going to show up. Our job isn't to plan out exactly what job, what person is going to show up to... Maybe help us bring us success in our business, that customer, that business partner. Our job is to trust, have faith and believe that good things can happen, to believe that the universe always has our back, that abundance is our birth, right? Our job is to have faith that we are always taking care of and supported. It's not always easy when we face a challenge or feel like things aren't working out, but this is the time to up our faith, this is the time to trust more than ever, trust the process and say, No, I will not accept anything less than the best for my family, and I am worthy and deserving of so much abundance, love, joy, and success. I'm going to leave it up to the universe. Now, the universe knows what I desire to have in my life, now I'm going to lean back, have faith and trust, and believe that everything is working out for me. • My brand is My Think Fit, and that started more than a decade ago, and I've always truly believed that you have to think fit first, you know it has to come from the inside before you can reach any of your fitness goals. It's kind of like you talk to people that, for example, I want to quit smoking or something like that, right? And your loved ones all around you can want you to quit, whatever this bad habit is, so much, but until you're truly, truly ready, you're never going to do the thing right. And so I kind of have always correlated that to our health and fitness journey, until you can really get your mind right and get straight there, it's really not going to matter what you're doing, because you're going to give up, you're going to quit. It's not going to mean much to you. So I just think that you truly have to think at first before you can truly live it. And I also believe that when you have everything stripped away from you, you have no other choice, it doesn't matter what's going on on the exterior, If you're not okay on the inside. (2:04)• I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 38, so in 2018, don't do the math you'll know how old I am... When I was 38, I was diagnosed with stage three, grade c breast cancer, and I was truly... If you would have looked at pictures or looked at lab work or anything like that, I mean, I was at the epitome of my health and fitness, I was doing great, there were no complaints in that arena, I don't think. But throughout that journey, everything was stripped away from me, I lost every inch of hair that was on my body, I was so sickly looking, my finger nails turned brown, my teeth got jacked, I had sores in my mouth, I had... At one point, I had an infection all over my face. If you can take, just the worst of the worst in looks, that's pretty much what you were going to get. I had sores on my head, scars all over my body. So basically, every single thing on the exterior was completely stripped away from me, right? There is nothing left on that, so when you have nothing left on the outside, that has to come from somewhere, right? (4:09)• I think when we're more honest about our imperfections, I mean that's a hashtag I use all the time, #PerfectlyImperfect. But I think that when we are more honest about our imperfections were more relatable. Anyway, I mean, that's the one thing I can remember, at one point I was really building a business and someone talked to me and they were like, I want to join you, but you are way too perfect, I can't ever attain that. And I'm like, Whoa, you know that just, it was not a compliment to me, because I was like, I am completely failing, right? Because I am the furthest thing from perfect, and if that's what I'm giving off and there's a problem... There's a big problem. Now, what I do love in today's world, I do feel like we're starting to embrace things differently, we're starting to embrace different body types and see all different shapes and sizes as beautiful. (7:15)• I'm big on my faith, right? In fact, I just was telling my daughter this last night, it's truly 100% cheesy, and this is exactly what my text to her said, I was like, as cheesy as it sounds, God made you on purpose. God made you exactly the way you are because you are perfect in His image. You have to remember that you were created the way, you are 100% on purpose, there were zero mistakes made. Zero. So if you can somehow try to just embed that into your head, whether it is putting things all around your house, little reminders, putting things in your car, on the mirror, personal development and personal growth is so huge, and I think that when you can learn to come from a place of love instead of a place of resentment or anger, it can change everything. And so for me personally, my first steps are, I do a devotion every single morning to try to remind me and get my mind set right so that I can think in a more fit mental aspect throughout the day, that's my first step. And then, just trying really to work, I'm constantly listening to podcasts, I have a podcast, and I'm constantly listening and putting positivity into my head. (11:55)• I think just realizing like, I don't care who you are, what stage of life you're in, chances are, you've either been through a battle, or you're going through one right now, or you will. None of us are immune from it, and I learned that really hard core. When we got our diagnosis, I just love to tell people, if you can take anything away, it's just don't wait for tragedy to strike before you start taking care of yourself. I know without a doubt, if I would not have been doing my personal growth, reading my devotion every single day, being in the shape I was physically, eating the way that I had, if I would not have had all of those pieces in place when I did get my diagnosis, I know without a doubt, I might have made it through, but I darn sure I would not have come through and been able to get back in a healthy lifestyle, it would have been a whole lot harder, and my journey was really freaking hard. It was not one that was just A to Z, it was miserable, it's still miserable. So, I just really wish that people don't wait until you get that diagnosis to be like, Oh, you know what, I'm going to start taking care of myself, right? Don't wait until you lose someone before you're like, Oh, I really need to get right in the head. Quit waiting. Don't wait because it's going to happen, so start now, there's no better time than the present. Just don't wait for it to strike. Start taking care of yourself in the here and the now. • I don't feel maybe enough, pretty enough, smart enough, fit enough, successful enough, wealthy enough, healthy enough, lovable enough, for WHO?... So powerful, just think about that, but for who... You really think about it, you think, Well, oh no. You don't know, right? Is it for ourselves? Not enough for ourselves. And why do we put so much pressure on ourselves so much to be perfect, you know that something that I've also really worked on with myself is releasing the guilt of a judgment that... Man, maybe I should have done this a different way. Maybe I should have said what I said a different way. Maybe I should have responded a different way over thinking that, thinking that, Oh, maybe I could have fixed that in the past, a different way, and maybe things will be different, but releasing that... The beating up on yourself. (7:00)• And we're just doing the best we can with the tools that we have, and the more tools we have in our tool box, the better that we can be in this game called life, the better that we can respond, the better our internal language can be, the easier it can be to manifest more things that we do want into our lives, the easier it can be for us to feel better in a situation that might feel like it's a lot of problems and has brought on may be discouragement or some of the things that we desire in our life. But learning how to shift out of a funk, out of not allowing the negative momentum to flow, but remembering our mind as a tool, but we're the boss. (8:33)• We can start saying, you should have been better. You should have done more. You're not enough. You should have known better, so we're beating up on ourselves, but to just stop and say, You know what, you're doing the best you can with the tools you have. If you want to make some different decisions in the future, add more tools to your toolbox, read more, inspirational books do more self-development at investing courses or a coach that would support you to be the best version of yourself, but you don't have to continue the journey of beating up on yourself and believing that you're not enough, you're not worthy enough, you're not deserving that you've messed up, and then your whole future is run because you're holding on to something of how it should have been and how it should have gone. It's so powerful, and when you do that, it's just physics, so much freedom. Such a shift in energy. Just like releasing. (11:19)• If everybody in the world was going around looking at themselves in the mirror saying, You are enough, and they were talking to themselves all day long, I am enough, I'm worthy and deserving. I have wonderful things, I am open and ready to receive all the blessings and miracles and abundance and joy and riches that the universe has for me. Now, I am enough. How different do you think the world would be? You want to change the world. It starts with you instead of trying to change somebody else, well, that person needs to change, now start with you, you start to change, you start to have that mantra, you teach your kids that maybe you're a coach like myself, and you're teaching other people. Or, maybe you work with people in a team like I do in my business too, you're teaching people to use that mantra and that they are enough. And then that's how you change the world, you're showing people, this is what I'm doing in my life. I was here, and now I'm over here because I'm speaking to myself differently, I'm focusing more on the things I desire to create into my life, manifest into my life, versus the things I don't. • if you've ever tried to manifest something out of, I've gotta get this goal, I've gotta make this money, I've gotta have this happen, and it's a lot of worry, fear doubt, it's not a very fun place to be. You might have some success that way. You might manifest some things that way, but then it just feels exhausting. And you just feel like, Oh my gosh, I don't want to do that again. So this way of manifesting is, is co-creating with the universe, it's allowing the universe to guide you, to support you, it's calling on the universal, the energy of the universe, a loving energy of the universe to lift you up, to support you, to guide you, you're just moving with the universe, you're moving in flow, and as I'm doing that, I'm kind of moving around and dancing because... It's kind of like a dance. Right? You're not getting attached to anything, you're putting your desires out there. (3:38)• Remember when you hit that goal in your business, remember when you were asked to speak on that large stage? Yes, that is one of my goals. Just so that you know. A little nerve-racking, but I'm also excited about it. Remember when you earn that paid for trip, remember when you pay off that credit card, remember when you close on that home? How could it feel? So what I want you to do is write at the top, remember when. And so then you're going to start remembering, you're going to utilize that part of your mind that's going to start saying, Oh wow, this happened, this is what came up, this is what I was feeling, this was who was around me, this is what I was seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, touching all those things, this is the experience as I was having. You're going to start utilizing that part of your brain that's going to say, Wow, this is what happened, this is where I am, this is who I am. (5:44)• You're basically, when you're visualizing, when you're closing your eyes and you're seeing yourself having achieved the goal, and you're getting all your sensories into it, like you're saying, What was I wearing? What was I smelling? What was I hearing? Who is around me? It's pretty much like this because you're remembering and you're activating that part of your brain that's saying, Hey, this is what happened, this is all the things that I did, and then it's becoming more of a reality because you are creating that. Believe you're creating that belief that this is what happened, this is how I remember it, This was who I was around me. These are the things that I was doing during that time. And that's how you're going to connect on that vibration, that higher vibration, the higher vibration of love, joy, abundance frequency that you wanna be on to allow your goals to manifest. (8:49)• And let me tell you something else. Okay, this is really important to you if you're wanting to grow business and attract business partners and customers, because I know a lot of you listening have your own business. The more fun you have, the more higher vibe. Excited. I'm all excited. Yeah, you want to be excited about your business and your products. You don't have to be like, Oh, so what's going on? And positive, positive, high vibe all the time, that's not what I'm saying, but the more fun you're having, the more, I guess a joy, the happier you are, the more you're going to attract those types of people to you. That's just how it is. What you put out, you get back. • Alright, so let's talk about the power of appreciation. Why this works so well? Well, here's the thing, it can be sometimes easy to get caught up in the things that aren't working out, the things that aren't manifesting, the things that haven't come to fruition yet, or maybe you have manifested some goals, but the big goal hasn't manifested. Maybe you're in that space where you're seeing other people, you feel like they've manifested faster or they're manifesting faster, or they're reaching the goals that you desire, but you're not there yet, and it can be in that space, easy to forget about all the wonderful things that have come into your life, all the goodness, all the blessings, all the miracles that you've manifested along the way and get caught up in the... What am I doing wrong? (3:25)• You're synced up with the energetic vibration of appreciation of love, you're going to get tuned into more of your higher self, what your higher self desire is, not from your ego or what the world says. You can get tuned in more to your higher self and beyond that high vibe, love, joy, frequency, and in turn... What is that going to do? The universe is going to match back to you what you're putting out. I'll tell you what, the fastest way to not grow your business, not grow your income, to feel stuck and to start having more frustrations around you. The fastest way to do that is to think about what's not going right. (7:41)• Think about what I'm learning through this, what is this teaching me? And then to remind myself that if I want to grow something, if I want to manifest something different, if I'm feeling like something is out of alignment, then it's for me to get tuned back into the love frequency, the high vibe frequency. And how do I do that? I start appreciating, I turn my attention from anything that I feel isn't going right, I turn my attention away from any comparisonitis... I turn my attention away from, Oh, maybe I should be here, this should have already manifested, I release that to allowing the universe to decide the divine timing, not me, I release control, I move more with the energy of the universe and I just appreciate.(14:15)• You want to have more fun, you want to have more joy in your life, you want your business to grow, you want your income to grow... Stop thinking about what anybody else says, at looking at the news or anything that says, You're doomed and this can't happen, no, turn that stuff out of your mind and go through what God says is possible. Okay, I appreciate and appreciate more. You live in an abundant world, appreciate and appreciate more, look for things that are going right. Set your sights on things that are going right, set your sights on things that are above abundance. Blessings and miracles are all around us, even when, sometimes it doesn't look like it, they really are. Appreciate and appreciate more, appreciate the smallest things and you'll turn them into the biggest things. • Normally when people manifest, they're trying to manifest things that they want, things that are going to make them happy. So the reason it's so important to get into this high vibe when you're manifesting is because you have to raise your energy, to raise your vibration, in order to attract the things that you ultimately want in your life. We're manifesting all the time, whether we realize it or not, and depending on where your vibration falls, some people who are in a very low vibration, they continue to see things that they don't want to show up in their life... That's manifesting as well. (2:15)• One thing that I love, and I highly recommend anyone listening, if you love to laugh, it's my favorite thing to do every night before bed, my husband and I will watch TV for just maybe a half hour hour tops, if that... Maybe not every night, but almost every night. We always put on comedy, we go on to Netflix or Amazon Prime or whatever, and we always watch a stand-up comedian and we laugh so hard. And it's the last thing we do before we go to bed. So I really, really find time every day to do things that I enjoy, and it kind of balances all the things do you have to do in a day. Because if you get stuck in that, what I have to do all day, you can kinda start getting a lower vibration because you're feeling like you have to do all of these things. So if you combine it with things you enjoy, your day is just so much more fun. (4:50)• I like to start my day in silence, so other people might like to meditate to a guided meditation, which I have in my YouTube Channel. I personally come down in the morning in silence and I do some deep breathing, and it may only be for five minutes, in through my nose, out through my mouth, it really kind of quiets my mind. I sit in that for a moment, and I'm very aware of my surroundings. When my body feels anything that I'm thinking about, a lot of people think meditation means you have to clear your mind completely, it doesn't always necessarily mean that, it could just be a moment to balance and to reflect. It could be whatever you want it to be, there's no right or wrong way. I typically do it in silence, and it's a really nice way for me to just ease into my day really graceful. (6:30)• I cannot stress to you enough how much this did not look like it was going to happen, and it kind of almost felt like a pipe dream at first, I was going, it's never going to work. But I decided I'm going to put it out there and I'm going to literally just let go. I'm going to let go of resistance around the outcome, and I'm going to have fun with it. And I really did. I started, like you said, with the visualization, I was visualizing like what this was going to be like when it happened, and I started getting me really excited thinking, it happened to other people before, why wouldn't it happen to me? And I started really getting into a different energetic space versus, Oh my God, this doesn't look like it's going to happen, that would lower my vibration. (10:42)• I think having fun is the key factor... Yes, and it's more fun to have fun, and there's a chapter in Gabby Bernstein's book, I think it's Super Attractor, and it says... It's good to feel good. She talks about feeling good and how that helps with manifestation. Yeah, and I also heard before like if... Let's say you want a new car. A lot of times we think, Okay, we want a new car. This is how much it's going to cost. This is how much I've just spent. These are the payments, this is how I'm going to get a car, I'm going to drive to the dealership, get a loan or pay cash or whatever. But we're blocking ourselves too, because we could win a car, the income could come to us, we could manifest the money as a gift. I love that you just said, there's infinite possibilities. So when we're trying to map it out in a sense, control how it's going to show up. I think that a lot of people may not even realize that, Hey, you just said they limit themselves to infinite possibilities. • You have to start having more fun now, and when you can see the fun and the joy in your daily life that is going to allow you to manifest your goals faster. A lot of times people try to manifest their goals from a place of frustration and place of disappointment, a place of... I don't like what I'm doing, I want to get out of this. So they're kind of manifesting out of a place of, Oh, this has to happen, my job that I'm in is so crappy, the life that I'm in is so crappy, that partner that I'm with is so crappy, whatever it is, and so you're not in the energy to receive the miracles and blessings that you desire, or that perfect opportunity or that perfect relationship. (4:13)• That's what we do well, then you're staying in that vibration, you're staying in that vibration of defeat of lack, not enough, not fun. Not joy, right? And so I want to challenge you to step out of that, if you are stepping into that. You know that saying... If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all? Well, it's kind of true. Just think about it, is this comment really necessary or is this conversation that I'm about to engage in going to really give me a high five day, is it going to make me feel warm and fuzzy? (5:53)• Here's the thing, our brain seeks pleasure and avoids pain. That is how we're wired, so if we are associating our business, our work, our work-out with pain, with problems, with frustration, I'm not going to really be motivated to do it, makes sense, right? Oh, working out is so horrible, I hate it so much. I hate running, I hate showing up. All those things, and then you're like, Oh, when I really need to go. You're not going to be motivated. I mean, not at all. If you're sharing to yourself or maybe with somebody else, man, I can't stand my job, I can't send my co-workers, I can't stand driving to work, it's so awful. You're taking out the fun, you're taking out the enjoyment. Well, of course, you're not going to be motivated, that doesn't sound very fun, right? So you've got to look for ways that you can have fun in what you're already doing, so that you can manifest more blessings, abundance, income, prosperity, love, joy, all that stuff into your life. (8:19)• I want to encourage you, think about that, how can you have more fun in your everyday life? How can you do things with more fun, how can you turn things maybe into a game, how could you find joy in what you're doing right now? And know that that is going to allow you to not only feel better, you don't have to wait until your goals manifest to feel better, you can start feeling better today, it's a choice, it's all a choice. How could you have more fun and more joy in your life today? And then once you start tapping into that energy, you're going to start noticing that you're tapping into your good. I say you're good, because really, when you receive more good, that good is available to you any time you want it, you have to tap into it, you gotta get on the good vibration train, you gotta get on the joy frequency, you gotta tap into it. You got to get in that mindset now, and that's what's going to allow more blessings, abundance. You're going to start seeing more good come to you. • I wanted to talk about prayer because sometimes we can get caught up in the doing, trying to manifest our desires or trying to do things alone. Or, like I mentioned, even praying out of fear, like fearful that something bad could happen. It's fearful that something might happen that you wouldn't expect. And so praying out of fear, like, oh my gosh, God, please help me. Or please help this person or please help this situation not to happen in my life. So you're praying out of fear. And as we talked about before on the mindset should podcast, whatever you put out, energetically, you get back. (3:58)• I am protected by God. I'm just putting a bubble, loving the universe around myself, my family, and I will not accept. This is to get in that state of mind and then pray out, have faith, pray from love, pray from a place of claiming it and believing it. And that's where the power comes into play. That's when miracles happen, you know, I heard this the other day and it said, prayer makes you irresistible to your good. If there is a stream of abundance, always flowing to us, but it's just us. We have to tap into it. (5:13)• This businessman continued to keep this prayer statement where ever he could see it. And wherever he went, he would say it daily. There is only one presence and power in my life, and that is God, God is within me and is performing miracles and my mind, body and affairs here. And now that is very, very powerful. Isn't it just by saying the prayer from a place of claiming it of a place of believing it, a place of love claiming that his life started as to improve his wife health got better. (7:59)• We can choose to say, no, I do not accept this. I do not accept that. This is my way of living. And this is my way of life. I will not accept this. I am here right now for God's rich love to embrace it myself, my family, my loved ones, my home. I am praying for a power of protection to come over me. You can also say the peace and loving energy of this universe is poured out upon this situation. Now producing perfect results, claiming it, feeling it, believing it. • Of course, you can always see how other people are doing things and how they should be doing things and go through judgment and feel like the world's not going in the right place, and everybody should do this or they should do that, and have your own judgement, but it's a tough place to be and it doesn't make you feel very good and it robs you of joy. (2:13)• I don't know why that person is doing what they're doing, we're all separate, we don't have the same goals, we don't have the same dreams, and they do that. We go down that path, how is this gonna work out? How am I going to make money during this time? All these things, it can put us on that frequency, and it's going to... Like we talked about in the beginning of the Mindset Chick Podcast, it's like a boomerang, whatever we put out, whatever we focus on, whatever we think about is going to come back to us, and so we're going to get sucked into that vibration, that energy. (3:31)• I'm going to read you a little story, but before I do that, we gotta start with our August mantra. Okay, so here we go, if you're in a space where you can close your eyes and close your eyes, just say it after me... I am a powerful manifester, I can manifest whatever I desire, I choose to love and value myself. I choose to let go of any judgments towards myself or others, I choose to live in faith, not fear, I choose to believe that the universe is abundance and abundance is my birthright. I choose to expect the best out of this day and all the days moving forward. And so it is. (4:45)• I think that's the reason for how joyful and happy he was, that happiness is available to all of us when we bring this message into our daily practice. So the next time you walk into your office ready to judge your co-workers or the next time you turn on the news, ready to judge our current affairs, say this prayer, the light and you is all I see. You can recite this prayer whenever you've made a judgment of anyone, bring it to the relationships that holds the greatest separation for you, the people whom you've made special and better than you, and people whom you perceived as less than or even hateful. Unless we work at it, we will judge every one in our lives from strangers we have brief encounters with, to our closest loved ones, children, parents and spouses. Whenever you notice yourself judging someone, say silently to yourself, the light in you is all I see. (9:04)• And there is only a stream of well-being that flows, so you can allow it or resist it, that's it. So you can either allow it in by focusing on the light and others that you see by focusing on the abundance, by tapping into the love frequency, by focusing on the good in the world by seeing the light and others. Or, you can resist it by being judgmental, being critical, being angry, feeling like there's not enough feeling, limited, feeling jealous, all those things, you can resist the stream of well-being. I just wanted to share that with you, that's just something really on my heart and really what I think would be so awesome if we all practice this. • Some days can really test your patience, and some days can get on your nerves and sometimes you just wake up and you feel annoyed and you don't know why. So, I'm going to share with you tips and things that I do to get out of that funk or out of that mood, switch the direction, the momentum of the thoughts and you know, get back on track. (2:19)• Have you ever been there? You hit every red light and you're like, What is happening? Maybe your kids are testing your patience, you're moving really slow when you're trying to get out the door and you're like, We have to leave, and they're literally walking so slow, but every other time, they're jumping around... Right now, they're moving like snails, so it's like all these little things to test your patience, but then again, it could be a blessing and disguise. (3:44)• I woke up this morning, somebody hacked into my Facebook, I had to change my password, and then every time I tried to log in to anything on my computer or my phone, it was making me remember my password, reset my password. I was like, Are you kidding me? I went out to the fridge and I tried to grab a drink, but it was a little sideways in the back, I tried to grab it, and when I did grab it, all other drinks fell on the ground, rolled out of the garage. I was chasing the soda's because they went under my car. Just little things like that. And I just thought, What is going on? And I knew, you know what I need to do, I need to take a deep breath, I need to just kinda laugh about it and not let it get to me. (8:04)• Instead of saying, Yeah, that sounds great. And then you're resenting that person for asking you... Or you're resenting yourself because you said yes. Okay, so knowing your boundaries, asking for help, my husband Alex is so amazing and he's always here to help me. So, I just wrote down a list, I wrote down some things that he could help me with. I wrote down some things that I needed to get done. And you know what? I felt so much better. (10:24)• So things like that can just teach us that there are some days where it feels like everything's just going so smoothly, so wonderfully, so perfect and so in alignment. And there's other days when maybe you don't feel your best, maybe you don't feel like talking to everybody, maybe you don't feel like things are going your way and to let you know that you're not doing it wrong, you're not a bad person, sometimes we just need those days because it could be teaching us a very, very important lesson. And just to have those days to learn and grow from the contrast, from the ups and downs, and to laugh about it and to not take it so seriously.
