Send us a textEpisode 37 is jumping back to where it all began: Episode 1 with Benji Campbell of Cal-Maine Foods:What does it take to lead in the poultry industry during times of unprecedented challenges? General Manager Benji Campbell of Cal Maine Foods opens up about his journey in egg production management, sharing how family entrepreneurship shaped his leadership approach from the very beginning. The conversation takes us deep into the current biosecurity challenges facing poultry operations nationwide. Campbell explains how avian influenza has evolved to become more contagious since 2021, leaving the United States approximately 12 million laying hens short of meeting domestic egg demand. His practical insights reveal why proper protocols are critical and how most disease outbreaks can be traced back to human activity on farms. But this episode goes beyond industry talk when Campbell shares a deeply personal story that reveals the true character of the poultry community. After his wife suffered severe injuries in a catastrophic car accident in December 2020, the industry rallied around his family with prayer and support. Three years later, colleagues still check on her recovery—demonstrating how professional relationships in this field often become meaningful personal connections. For those navigating leadership positions, Campbell offers invaluable wisdom on balancing the 24/7 demands of poultry management with family life, building strong teams through effective communication, and embracing change when faced with the common resistance of "we've always done it this way." His parting message comes from Mark 9:23: "Everything is possible for those who believe"—a philosophy that has guided him through both personal tragedy and industry transformation.Whether you're new to the poultry industry or a seasoned professional, this conversation provides a roadmap for leadership with integrity, resilience, and faith during challenging times.Hosted by Brandon Mulnix - Director of Commercial Accounts - Prism ControlsThe Poultry Leadership Podcast is only possible because of its sponsor, Prism ControlsFind out more about them at www.prismcontrols.com

Is the promise of AI abundance Silicon Valley's biggest lie? That Was The Week publisher Keith Teare argues that while AI will inevitably reduce human labor and increase productivity, the real question isn't economic—it's about distribution. Who, exactly, benefits from all this abundance? Currently, it's private companies like OpenAI and Google that own the technology; not you and I, the public. This creates what Keith describes as a fork in the road: either a techno-feudal nightmare where few own everything, or a techno-socialist cornucopia where everyone prospers. He points to points to experiments like Sam Altman's Worldcoin as potential solutions, but warns that without deliberate human action, abundance could easily become the ultimate scarcity trap.As you can tell from this conversation, I'm much more skeptical than Keith. While he sees inevitable productivity gains leading to a potential utopia, I see Silicon Valley's promises of abudance as largely self-serving fantasy. There is no fork in the road and, with or without human agency, everything certainly isn't possible. Today's technological reality is growing inequality, not infinite distribution. The fact that Keith's most hopeful model is Sam Altman's chilling crypto scheme for paying people to scan and share their irises is particularly unconvincing. History shows us that new technologies, while promising a cornucopian future, always create new forms of scarcity. The people promoting AI abundance—Zuckerberg, Musk, Altman et al—are painfully antisocial, yet preach about more social time for family and friends. Meanwhile, teachers and journalists and lawyers are already being forced into retirement. Without concrete mechanisms for the redistribution of AI derived wealth, abundance will likely benefit the few who own the technology, not the many who actually need it. five key takeaways 1. The Economics vs. Distribution Problem AI will inevitably make production cheaper and more efficient, but there's no built-in mechanism ensuring everyone benefits. The proceeds will flow to private companies unless something changes.2. The Fork in the Road We face two possible futures: a feudal system where a few own everything, or a utopia where abundance benefits everyone. The outcome depends entirely on human choices, not technological inevitability.3. The End of Required Labor While productivity gains are inevitable, the complete elimination of paid work isn't guaranteed. But as AI becomes cheaper than human labor, employers will have no economic incentive to hire people.4. Democrats Need the Abundance Narrative The Democratic Party can't win by just redistributing a shrinking pie. They need policies that grow the economy and make abundance politically viable—free healthcare and education require rapid wealth expansion.5. Experiments Are Already Happening Projects like Sam Altman's Worldcoin (giving everyone AI profits via crypto) and discussions of Universal Income show that practical wealth distribution mechanisms are being tested, not just theorized.Keen On America is a reader-supported publication. Donald Trump's first 100 days in office have been marked by a lot of aspiring autocratic behavior...like deporting a legal resident without due process, targeting his political enemies, to walking right up to the line of ignoring the Supreme Court. Today's Message is based on scripture from Mark 10: 17-27.
In our final installment of the "Everything Is Possible" series, we investigate something that is often overlooked when we look at the impossible becoming possible...our character. Today we look at how God's grace is more than sufficient for us, but that often our lack of integrity and character can cause distance between us and God.
In part 2 of our "Everything Is Possible" series, Josh Phillips unpacks the idea that oftentimes our faith plays a role in our prayers being answered by God.
Jesus told us that "with God all things are possible". So why is it that it seems we don't see more impossible things happening to a greater degree in our time? In today's message, Pastor Chad takes us through Mark chapter 9 where we find that part of the answer may be in the way that we approach prayer.
From the responsorial psalm: "The LORD is king, in splendor robed; robed is the LORD and girt about with strength. The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty.”A reading from the holy Gospel according to Mark (9:14-29, today's readings)Jesus said to him, “‘If you can!' Everything is possible to one who has faith.” Then the boy's father cried out, “I do believe, help my unbelief!”Taking place immediately after the Transfiguration as Jesus comes down from the mountain with Peter, James, John and meets the other disciples, today's Gospel describes Jesus' encounter with a man whose son is possessed. In an argument with some scribes after attempting to drive out the demon, the disciples face the lack of faith of the father and the scribes. That is why Jesus says to them, "O faithless generation, how long will I be with you?" Jesus then asks them to bring the boy to him, whose spirit throws him to the ground in convulsions. The father asks for Jesus compassion and help, saying "if you can do anything." Jesus redirects the father's attention to everything that is possible through faith in God. In response, his profession of faith is a prayer for all who have faith in the Lord: "I do believe, help my unbelief." God, help me trust that you can do the impossible, especially in circumstances that appear to have no solution. Just as the father asks for help on behalf of the son, let me come to you with firm conviction in faith that you alone can restore us to your image. Daily life seems to produce abundant barriers to the realization of hope sought through continual prayer. Yet, through Jesus Christ your Son, you transfigure human dignity in a way that accomplishes your plan for salvation while respecting free will. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts," you say through Isaiah, "neither are your ways my ways, says the LORD." Lord, strengthen my faith!Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Whether you lead many or just yourself we all need to realize most things are impossible on our own, however, with God all things are possible! We must understand our finite self has very little power but with the infinite God in our lives we can do anything! God can do more in a moment than we as humans can do in a lifetime! Listen and share this with everyone you know!
In today's message, we look at the amazing story of God answering Joshua's prayer to hold the sun and the moon still so that the Israelite armies could overtake the Amorites in battle. Why is it that God answered this bold prayer from Joshua? We look at this in today's episode.

Fighting propagandistic lies with more lies rarely works and runs the risk of eroding trust in your credibility and undermining your cause. However, there is a role for so-called Black disinformation in wartime. This deliberate dissemination of false or misleading information can be highly effective as part of a military operation. Information campaigns with the intent to deceive, manipulate, or undermine an adversary during warfare or conflicts is a tactic used to gain strategic advantages by sowing confusion and destabilizing the enemy. Classic examples of this weaponised subterfuge played an important role in Britain's victory in WWII and can help to save many lives and shorten conflicts. ---------- Peter Pomerantsev is a Soviet-born British journalist, author, and TV producer. In 1978, he moved with his parents to West Germany, after his father, broadcaster, and poet Igor Pomerantsev, was arrested by the KGB for proliferating anti-Soviet literature. One of the great benefits we have with emunah is that no matter what it may seem, we know there's always a possibility of us getting what we need because we have Hashem and He is unlimited. Without emunah, if someone sees a big obstacle in the way of what He wants and it seems almost impossible to overcome, he'll most likely just give up. But with emunah, the person will try to think of ways in which he can access Heavenly mercy, whether it's tefila or Tehillim or any other good deeds. I read a few stories in a hashgacha peratit journal from people whose salvations seemed very unrealistic, but after their tefilot , they became very realistic. I'll share a couple of them. The first was about two friends who we'll call Yosef and Binyamin. They both owned apartments in Beitar, but their Rebbe lived in Yerushalayim and they preferred to live next to him. So they both rented out their apartments in Beitar and used the rent money to rent apartments for themselves in Yerushalayim . As their families grew, their rental apartments became too small and they knew they had to move. They wanted to buy suitable apartments in Yerushalayim , but the prices were way too high for them. Yosef told Binyamin, “Anything is possible, let's pray for each other to find affordable apartments that will fit our needs.” Besides for praying, they chose perek 77 in Tehillim to say every day because it speaks about living in Israel. They prayed every day with a lot of kavanah over a period of six months. Yosef was not able to find anything that worked, but then suddenly an idea hit him. The apartment he was renting was owned by the neighbor who lived right next door. If he would be able to combine both apartments, they would definitely fit his family. He spoke to the owner about it, who was actually willing to sell. The price, however, was way too high for him. The owner wanted 2.6 million shekel. Yosef told him he could sell his apartment in Beitar and add some more funds from his own money, but it would not come close to that number. The owner then said he does not live a life of Torah and mitzvot and neither do his children. He was worried about not having merits for the World to Come. He said, “I know you're very religious and you'll use these apartments to do an abundance of mitzvot. This could be my zechut . I will sell you both for 1.4.” With that, they closed the deal. Yosef told Binyamin about his amazing yeshua and that gave Binyamin chizuk to keep trying himself. A short time after that, he went to look at an apartment and saw a large picture of a great tzaddik hanging on one of the walls. It was his wife's grandfather. While he and his wife were admiring the picture, the elderly woman who owned the apartment asked them if they knew him. They replied yes, they were his grandchildren. The woman then said she was very connected to that tzaddik . When her husband passed away twenty years before, he was the one who advised her to move to Israel. Now, she had to move back to America. She said it would be such a zechut for her if his grandchildren would purchase the apartment. She mentioned it was worth more than 2.5 million shekel, but she would accept less from them. They said they could afford 1.6 and right away she said okay. With tefila and Tehillim , these men were able to fulfill their dream of owning apartments in Yerushalayim , even though it seemed very unrealistic. One other story about an apartment in Israel. A man told that in the building in which he lived, there was a very nice apartment that was vacant. For years, it had been rented out, but after the last tenant moved on, it remained empty. Many people wanted to buy it, but the owner wouldn't hear of it. He would always tell them, “This apartment is for rent, not for sale.” People offered high sums, but it was always rejected. Among those who wanted the apartment was a precious avrech who was looking for an apartment in that area. This one was perfect for him and his family in so many ways. But of course, the owner told them the same thing, “It's not for sale.” He decided he was going to talk to the Real Owner about it. He said the entire Tehillim and then prayed from the depths of his heart for Hashem to enable him to buy it. The next time he called the owner, he explained to him why it would make more sense for him to sell than to rent, especially since he was no longer a young man. For the first time, he said he would ask his lawyer. The lawyer agreed and he told the avrech he would sell it to him. Amazingly, his offer was accepted for much less than others had offered previously. When people found out the apartment was being sold, they immediately called the owner and offered more money, but he refused, saying he already gave someone else his word. With Hashem involved, everything is possible.
