Uncover what true crime documentaries don't show you: real cases and real people, but with a new twist. This is Unseen.
The Unseen podcast is an absolute gem for true crime enthusiasts like myself. As someone who loves watching true crime content on YouTube and listening to podcasts on the go, this podcast provides the perfect combination of both. The episodes are actually audio from the YouTube channel, which makes it incredibly convenient for me to binge-listen whenever I have the time. In just three days, I devoured all available episodes and eagerly await new ones. If you're a fan of true crime, I highly recommend checking out The Unseen podcast.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its unique approach to storytelling. Unlike many other true crime podcasts that solely focus on explaining what the perpetrator did, The Unseen puts a strong emphasis on giving voice to the victims and their experiences. The host respects the privacy of survivors by not sharing explicit details about their assaults, which is highly commendable. By centering the story on the victim's perspective, this podcast offers a fresh take on true crime that is both engaging and respectful.
Another aspect I love about The Unseen podcast is how it incorporates real audio clips from the cases being discussed. This adds an extra layer of authenticity and immersion to each episode, making it feel like you're truly part of the investigation. Additionally, the host's delivery is excellent and keeps you captivated throughout every episode.
While there are countless positive aspects to this podcast, one potential downside is episode length. Some listeners may prefer longer episodes that delve deeper into each case. Currently averaging around 15-20 minutes per episode, it would be great if future episodes could be extended to around 35-40 minutes in order to provide more in-depth coverage.
In conclusion, The Unseen podcast has quickly become one of my favorite true crime shows. Its unique focus on the victim's experience, combined with real audio clips from the cases being discussed, creates an enthralling listening experience that sets it apart from other podcasts in the genre. Although episode length could be improved for those craving more detailed coverage, this podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in true crime. Kudos to the host for delivering such a captivating and respectful show, and I eagerly await the release of future episodes.
