“I was a rare commodity.” Champ Bailey Hall of Fame cornerback Champ Bailey joins Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder, and Fred Taylor for a conversation that goes far beyond football. Widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive backs to ever play the game, Champ reflects on the mindset, preparation, and discipline that helped build his legendary career. From his early days in the NFL to becoming a shutdown corner who rarely allowed quarterbacks to challenge him, he opens up about what made him different and the standards he held himself to every time he stepped on the field. Revealing one of the hardest experiences Champ went through, he shares the tough reality of learning business, that sometimes no matter how good you are at something, if you aren't a decision maker's pick, you won't be given the chance for success. He takes us inside one of the biggest trades in NFL history, recounting his move from Washington to Denver and how that moment reshaped the trajectory of his career. He also revisits his remarkable 2006 season, when he reached the peak of his powers and cemented his reputation as one of football's most feared defenders. He also weighs in on comparisons to fellow all-time great Darrelle Revis, offering his perspective on the debate and what separates elite cornerbacks from the rest. The conversation wouldn't be complete without reliving one of the most iconic plays of his career — the unforgettable 99-yard interception return against New England. Champ gives a play-by-play breakdown of what he saw, what he was thinking, and how close he came to finishing the touchdown that fans still talk about today. We have some good laughs as he takes us inside what was going through his mind running down the field before he was brought down. Now a father, Champ shares how life and leadership have evolved off the field, discussing family, fatherhood, and the lessons football taught him that he carries into raising his children. From humble beginnings in Georgia to Canton, Ohio, Champ Bailey's story is one of talent, sacrifice, and perseverance, as he reflects on the self-belief that took him from a small-town athlete with big NFL dreams to one of the most dominant cornerbacks the game has ever seen...sharing invaluable advice for the next generation of athletes and the conversation is truly a masterclass in greatness from one of the game's all-time legends. In hour three of Stokely and Evans with Mark Schlereth, they are joined by former ESPN host Trey Wingo to expand his conversation with Sean Payton about Bo Nix and the AFC West on his Wingo Network podcast. The guys unpack their interview with Trey Wingo, listening to more audio from his interview with Sean Payton. They debate whether the Broncos would consider replacing Sean Payton with Davis Webb if the latter has a successful year as the play caller. Mike, Mark, and Stoke wrap up the third hour hearing what Champ Bailey had to say about Bo’s standing int the NFL. Will Stink say that this is a dumb take too?
In hour one, Dover and Cecil start the show by looking at the Stanley Cup Final! What did we see from the Carolina Hurricanes, and what can the Avs learn from them? A big trade suggestion was made, but how do we feel about it? What does Champ Bailey think about Bo Nix? What can keep Nix from being a top 10 QB? How serious is this ankle injury? Can Jaylen Waddle help the Broncos get into the top half of the NFL in explosive plays?

Hall of Famer and Denver Broncos legend Champ Bailey joins Richard Sherman for a masterclass on playing cornerback in the NFL, from his “welcome to the league” moment versus Michael Irvin to chasing greatness through 15 elite NFL seasons. They revisit legendary battles with Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Marvin Harrison, Larry Fitzgerald, Megatron, and more, and break down why Charles Woodson is the most complete DB to ever play the game. Champ explains how practice separated him, what young corners get wrong today, how modern offenses and risk‑averse QBs changed the position, and why stats don’t tell the full story for shutdown corners. They also chop it up on the 2000s Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens defenses, Peyton Manning’s historic Broncos year, the impact of refs on games, and how to build a “perfect” DB with confidence, athleticism, and true playmaking ability. Benjamin Watson spent 16 seasons in the NFL as one of the league's most reliable tight ends. He was known for being a model teammate, always willing to do the dirty work of blocking in the trenches just as much as catching touchdown passes. Not as well known is the perfectionism and self-doubt he struggled with throughout his time in the league. When the Patriots won the Super Bowl his rookie year, the injured Watson refused to wear his ring because he felt he hadn't earned it. In this episode, we hear about his challenges with mental health, his passion for faith and family, and how he became a fierce advocate for social justice after a prolific career. On the latest NFL Players: Second Acts podcast, Super Bowl champion Kayvon Webster joins Peanut Tillman and Roman Harper to share his journey from chasing an NFL dream to building a life of purpose beyond football. Kayvon reflects on growing up with a clear goal of playing in the NFL, his path to South Florida, and his “welcome to the league” moments — including getting drafted by his childhood favorite team, the Denver Broncos, and meeting his idol Champ Bailey. He discusses earning his place in Denver’s legendary No Fly Zone defense, which he says thrived on veteran leadership. The conversation turns to winning a Super Bowl, the celebration that followed, and the reality of life after football. Kayvon opens up about not giving himself time to dwell on leaving the game, instead pouring his energy into entrepreneurship — launching a food truck while still trying out for teams. His business quickly outgrew expectations, including serving frontline workers during the pandemic. Kayvon also shares how a torn Achilles sparked a new creative chapter, leading to a children’s book inspired by Black inventors and motivational videos created for his kids. Through business, storytelling, and service, Webster explains how he’s living his purpose by helping others believe in their dreams — the ultimate second act.
