As the World Cup gets closer, Bayern Munich are starting to suffer from more and more minor injuries in every game. In the most recent win over Mainz, Matthijs de Ligt had to be subbed off as a precaution due to a presumed muscular issue. With complaints about rotation commonly levied at Julian Nagelsmann throughout the season, it seems like the upcoming Champions League game vs Inter Milan may end up becoming the moment of truth for the coach and his rotation policy. In this episode, INNN and Tom discuss: Has Nagelsmann been rotating enough so far this season? Why the coach seems to be more static with the personnel he trusts to start. Friction with Ryan Gravenberch and Benjamin Pavard and future dressing room issues. Why the upcoming World Cup makes player injuries more difficult to manage. A looming issue with Manuel Neuer and his shoulder. Why Thomas Muller has been getting injured more often this season. Moving onto the Inter Milan game — what does the match mean for Inter and Simone Inzaghi? How should Julian Nagelsmann tackle the game? Is winning a prerogative? Which players should be rotated in/out? The problem with Alphonso Davies having to play way too many games. A final prediction from Tom on the scoreline. Meanwhile, a certain someone who agitated a move to FC Barcelona is staring the Europa League in the face, and coming off a defeat in his inaugural Clasico. The two FCBs contrasting fortunes make for good discussion fodder this week. In this episode, INNN and Samrin discuss: Did the presence of a target man in Choupo-Moting make the difference? Bayern Munich downed Viktoria Plzeň 4-2 in the Champions League in a match where The visitors took care of business early on. The home side did make a strong comeback in the second half, but it was not nearly enough to match up to the Bavarians. Let's take a look at what we have on tap for this episode: A rundown of the scoring, substitutes, etc. Why the second half collapse shouldn't really be all that concerning. Hey, hey…Paul Wanner made an appearance! Some appreciation for Leon Goretzka, who sometimes gets a raw deal from certain fans. The drop-off at outside-back while Benjamin Pavard played center-back and Alphonso Davies was injured. So Bayern Munich have won another game in the Champions League, and it really wasn't even close. Viktoria Plzen will be counting their lucky stars that this game only ended 5-0, because the early minutes of the game seemed to be building up to a massacre. We saw complete dominance and clinical attacking football as Juian Nagelsmann's side tore the Czech giants apart. Here are our talking points from the game: How do you pronounce “Plzen”? A quick recap of what went on in the game. Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sane's amazing linkup plays. Sadio Mane, offsides, and criticism of the automated offside technology. A basic review of each player's performance. Why Leon Goretzka might be preferred over Marcel Sabitzer against certain types of teams. An interesting note on Benjamin Pavard being subbed on as a center-back. Criticizing Julian Nagelsmann for his use of youth players this season and this game in particular. Bayern Munich will soon set off for an international break, but there is a ton to talk about. We had some mini-controversies emerge this week, plus a HUGE Champions League win over FC Barcelona as the big happenings, but there was plenty more to discuss as well. Here is what we have on tap for this episode: Checking on on where we think Bayern Munich stands entering the final week of the Bundesliga before the international break. Germany's latest round of call-ups. Re-upping Benjamin Pavard and Alexander Nübel might not be easy. Why Bayern Munich could really have something in Paul Wanner and Arijon Ibrahimović — and what that could mean moving forward. Some Bayern Munich players probably are unhappy, but it's fine for now. With their 2-0 victory over VfL Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena, Bayern Munich continued their winning start to the season, winning their second match in the Bundesliga and third on the bounce if you count the DFL-Supercup as a competitive fixture. In all three of the aforementioned matches, Julian Nagelsmann has used the exact same starting lineup of Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Lucas Hernandez, Dayot Upamecano, Benjamin Pavard, Marcel Sabitzer, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala, Serge Gnabry and Sadio Mane. So far, it's worked wonders, and while there have been some different second half changes on all of those occasions, Nagelsmann's subs have also followed a similar pattern. As the saying goes, “if it a'int broke, don't fix it.” Nagelsmann has seemingly adopted this idea for his lineup selections, but as English Weeks approach for Bayern, he'll certainly have to start to make some changes to avoid running a higher risk of injuries and fatigue. It will also be his job to balance the squad and make sure he does best to keep all of his players happy - even the ones that might not be playing as much as they'd like to. Nagelsmann has a luxury in depth, and it's up to him to find the right ways to use it. A recent New York Times piece also shed some light on the different arguments posed surrounding a lack of interest in the Bundesliga due to Bayern's long-running dominance domestically. With that, there's significantly less viewership in the league as a whole than, say, the English Premier League. Will there every be a way to change this trend? In this Flagship episode of the podcast, Tom and Teddy discuss: Nagelsmann's consistent starting XI When there will be a need for rotations Leroy Sane and Tanguy Nianzou's transfer rumors/links Nagelsmann keeping everyone in the squad happy How results have fared elsewhere in the Bundesliga Do our direct rivals make us winning the league much easier? Our thoughts on the NYT piece and if the Bundesliga will ever garner more interest from abroad. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Bayern Munich put forth another dominant effort in the Bundesliga as it downed Wolfsburg 2-0. The Bavarians received strong showings from a number of players including Jamal Musiala, Thomas Müller, Marcel Sabitzer, and Alphonso Davies among others. Bayern Munich was just stellar against an opponent that really wanted to slow them down. Here is what we have on tap: Wolfsburg had a good game plan coming in, but just could not contain Bayern Munich's devastating attack. Jamal Musiala has become an indispensable member of the starting XI. His consistency, energy, and production are unrivaled at this point. Thomas Müller is still a man who knows to be at the right place at the right time. Players like Marcel Sabitzer and Benjamin Pavard continue to show they are legit. Some areas for improvement. After the devastating defeat to VfL Bochum, Bayern Munich have failed to bounce back by slumping to a disappointing 1-1 draw against RB Salzburg. Matthias Jassile and his men will actually rue the chances they missed as Bayern failed to mount any kind of pressure and only scored thanks to a moment of brilliance from Benjamin Pavard and Thomas Muller. With things looking dire on the pitch, coach Julian Nagelsmann has some tough questions to answer. Here are our talking points from the game: Is Julian Nagelsmann a fraud? Let's examine that. The return of the back three and why that sucks. A quick review of each defender — Lucas's masterclass, and Niklas Sule is probably in BVB already. Why doesn't Omar Richards get chances? Why doesn't Nagelsmann keep it simple? Once again, Serge Gnabry was terrible. Should we sell him? The problem with the offense, how Leroy Sane's positioning affects Thomas Muller and that causes issues elsewhere. Robert Lewandowski is isolated — why??? Can Bayern hope to defeat Manchester City or Liverpool playing like this? Benjamin Pavard's offensive duties and why he's overextended. YOUR opinion: Comment on what's going on with Bayern right now.
