The Mark of Cain vs the Word of God as Dean tracks down Metatron. Can Cas and Gadreel get to the angel tablet in time to give Dean the advantage or will something far worse happen? (It's Supernatural of course something worse will happen.) We discuss the movie Hook, how Sam did nothing to secure Dean or the First Blade, and what angels should be doing with their time. Sam finds a case in a town where he discovers Henry and Josie once visited before their finial initiation into the Men of Letters. Dean refuses to go along as he deals with his feelings of using the First Blade. At a bar. With Crowley. Had some audio issues so here comes our backup recording as we discuss Bob's Burgers, Jess sings Abba, and talk about the coolest thing Dean has ever done. Patreon Twitter Instagram Tumblr Facebook
Crowley has fallen off the wagon and lost sight of reclaiming Hell and falls deeper into his addiction of human blood. After Sam and Dean find him, the three get a lead on the First Blade. Jess is recording in a different room because she's awesome so there's more pet sounds this week as we discuss Matt's inability to recognize Casablanca, who was supposed to be in the episode other than Snooki, and who we thought could have been better. Episode Recorded February 2, 2022. Gabriel Frey is a 13th generation Wabanaki basketmaker from the Dawnland. During our conversation Gabriel shares the importance of indigenous land stewardship and the role basket weaving has as a vehicle for cultural transmission. He shares the historical importance basket weaving has in preserving indigenous agency, especially in the time where Wabanaki territory was stolen, sold and repackaged as compliance rations. In spite of that trauma, basket weaving has helped preserve Wabanaki culture and its importance shines through Gabriel's work. To find more of Gabriel's work visit his website: www.gabrielfreybaskets.com, and on Instagram @gabrielfreybasketmaker. Welcome back, hunks! This week we're discussing S09E10 - First Born, an extremely busy episode that introudces Cain (yep, THAT Cain), something called the Mark of Cain, the First Blade, and just a crap ton of LORE. It's hard to keep up with! Castiel tortures Sam some more and Dean pals around with Crowley, and a strong female character gets murdered off screen. All standard SPN material, folks. This week Steph and Ally are discussing Supernatural season nine episodes 21 and 22. In ‘King of the Damned’ Dean finally gets to use the First Blade to finally kill Abaddon. Before her death, she brings Crowley’s son Gavin to the 21st century to reunite with his father. In ‘Stairway to Heaven’ the angel war is getting started. Metatron is using Cas’ name recognition (and angelic suicide bombers) to cause unrest with the angel factions and turn allies into enemies. Gadreel realizes that Metatron sucks and goes to the bunker to join team Free Will, but Dean can’t let his grudge against the angel that murdered Kevin go. This week Steph and Ally are talking about Supernatural season nine episodes 15 & 16. In '#thinman' Ed and Harry (aka THE GHOSTFACERS) are back and they're hunting a killer internet legend called Thinman (think Slenderman, but more bumpy in the face). Sam and Dean meet up with them and proceed to try and out sass them - and solve the actual case. In 'Blade Runners' Sam and Dean have to track down a strung out on human blood Crowley who was supposed to be tracking down the First Blade. The boys have to preform an intervention on the demon before they find a disgraced 90 year old Man of Letters who has the blade. Etchegaray Nguluwe has represented Namibia in Paralympic sport at the World Championships and Commonwealth Games. But, born with a club foot, he struggled to keep up in a category where many of the men he raced against had one leg amputated below the knee and used a prosthetic blade. In March of 2016, Etchegaray took the decision to have his foot removed. He has now been fitted with his own blade - a huge financial investment by Namibia's Paralympic Committee. Why do they think he is worth it? Do the Formula 1 drivers of today realise how much they owe to the pioneers of 1950? Amongst those lining up for the very first F1 race at Silverstone 67 years ago was a member of Thailand's royal family. Prince Bira was the driver, and he was managed by his cousin Prince Chula. Narisa Chakrabongse is Prince Chula's daughter. She tells Caroline about her family's involvement in the birth of Formula 1, how the pair would write their pit-lane boards in Thai so no-one else could work out their tactics and how the films her mother shot of the races helped her really get to know the father who died when she was just seven. Socrates captained one of the greatest Brazil teams of all time, yet spent more time thinking about politics than tactics. He was passionate, charming and hedonistic, but above all he was a thinker. Andrew Downie has written the first full biography of a man who introduced democracy to the football club where he made his name, even as the rest of Brazil was in the grip of a military dictatorship in the early 1980s. The council fields of Manchester are the new front line in the battle for supremacy between the city's two Premier League football clubs, United and City. Local boys have always made that journey from their local pitches to the biggest stage of all, but it is how both Manchester clubs are now pursuing children aged eight and younger that has brought comparisons with The Cold War, and an arms race. Knock-Out Sister is a bespoke boxing gym for Muslim women. The facility in Newcastle protects its members' privacy but allowed the BBC's Anna Foster in to see first-hand how the sport is helping women of all ages build their confidence and learn self-defence. A new study of water quality in public swimming pools has found that in 100% of cases, there was urine present. The survey, which was carried out in Canada, does not make for pleasant reading. So are public pools safe, and why don't people just leave the pool when they need to go for a wee? We hear from scientist, Fran Scott, and the Olympic Swimming medallist, Steve Parry (Photo: Etchegaray Nguluwe Credit: Michael Hamukwaya)
We are joined by Clarissa from http://www.screenfad.com/ and Danielle from http://www.possiblebypopculture.com/. Dean (Jensen Ackles) feels the effects of the First Blade, and Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) makes his move against humanity. Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean and Castiel (Misha Collins) face shocking consequences when taking the fight to Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong). Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Jeremy Carver (#923).
Director Guy Bee joins us for our discussion of Supernatural's 'Stairway to Heaven.' After a massive attack on the angels, Castiel (Misha Collins) calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help. As they leave, Dean’s eagerness to bring the First Blade doesn’t go unnoticed by Sam who is worried about the cost to his brother whenever he uses the Blade. Meanwhile, Castiel is shocked when he learns the angel that caused the attack was one of his followers and did it in his name. Dean discovers there is a conspiracy amongst Castiel’s angel followers and at the heart of it is Tessa, the Reaper. Guy Bee directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb (#922).

Dean (Jensen Ackles) is frustrated when he can’t reach Crowley (Mark Sheppard), who has promised to find The First Blade. When Crowley finally calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean, he tells them he fell off the wagon and has been injecting human blood and needs their help. To make matters worse, he had a demon (guest star Rebecca Marshall) helping him find blood, but she sold him out and told Abaddon that he and the Winchesters were searching for The First Blade. The brothers need to find the blade before Abaddon does, so they enlist the help of a former member of the Men of Letters (guest star Kavan Smith). Meanwhile, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi appears in a cameo role. Serge Ladouceur directed the episode written by Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming (#915).
Timothy Omundson (Supernatural's Cain, Psych's Carlton Lassiter) is our special guest for this podcast. Looking to reclaim his place as King of Hell, Crowley (Mark Sheppard) asks Dean (Jensen Ackles) for help finding “The First Blade,” the only blade that can kill Abbadon (guest star Alaina Huffman). Knowing he owes Crowley a favor for helping Sam (Jared Padalecki), and also wanting Abaddon dead himself, Dean reluctantly agrees and the two set off on a road trip. However, Dean and Crowley are completely unprepared when they find out who has the blade – Cain (guest star Omundson), the first son. Meanwhile, Sam is back at the bunker with Castiel (Misha Collins) who notices there is some leftover grace inside Sam. If they can extract it, they can use the grace to track Gadreel. The only problem is the procedure may do permanent damage to Sam. John Badham directed the episode written by Robbie Thompson (911).

Listen to Jakob, Stuart, and Arnie to find out! {Hulk Series} {Marvel Series} {Comic Book Movie Series} {Avengers Series} {Avengers - Some Assembly Required Series}
