SERIES 3 EPISODE 51: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: I'd like to congratulate Kamala Harris on her victory in the Presidential Debate last night against (checks notes) Bret Baier. Despite the refusal by the moderator to stop her opponent from compulsively interrupting her. The moderator… (checks notes) Bret Baier. And despite the fact that when she called out Trump for threatening to use the military against citizens and jailing those who criticize him and about “the enemy within,” the anchor claimed to playing a clip of Trump pertaining to that only they did a bait-and-switch – the anchor played a Trump clip about a different topic… the anchor… (checks notes) Bret Baier. She kicked Baier's ass. She went on Fox and despite being subjected to a failed gotcha and conspiracy-theory interview that could have been prepared by Catturd or one of the other neurotic paranoids on the right, answered his questions AND called Fox out on its lies. THE POLLING IS THE CHEF'S KISS: As the Harris interview aired on Fox News it put out its new poll. Last month it had HARRIS up by two, 50-48. NOW it has TRUMP ahead by two, 50-48 HOWEVER Fox's polling – Registered voters - shows HARRIS AHEAD IN THE BATTLEGROUND STATES BY SIX POINTS. That's all they say. If their current polling is correct Trump would win the popular vote but Harris would win the Electoral College. There are four other prominent polls that now show Harris at 50% or higher nationally. It could all change tomorrow but right now, there is a polling surge - for Kamala Harris. B-Block (19:41) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: More from America's favorite media-political complex love triangle: Nuzzi, Lizza, and RFK Jr. James Dolan is not only now tied to the fascism of Trump, but the Madison Square Garden/Knicks/Rangers owner is also now tied to the idiocy of Mayor Eric Adams. And why are David Zaslav and Elon Musk hanging out? Lots of postulations but the obvious one seems to have been overlooked. What if Zaslav is trying to sell CNN to Elon? C-Block (29:50) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: The New York Post attacked me yesterday because I made a joke. A "crass" joke. One word and an emoji. It wasn't crass. You may not have thought it was funny – but it wasn't crass. THEY tweeted about the Ryan Lizza reply to my ex's legal filing for what amounts to a restraining order against HER ex, with him saying she told him RFK Jr's plan for Liv was to “impregnate and possess.” I added “Same” with the shrug emoji. Now it might not BE funny but to de-construct the effort: phrasing it that way I could've meant same as in that was ALSO my plan for her, or that it was RFK's plan for me. Anyway – you decide if it was funny. I think it was. But they wrote an entire article about this because they were punishing me. When the Post attacks someone, if they fight bac, the rule there is – I've been told by their people – they have to attack harder. You're supposed to accept the Post's punishment and shut up. It's Murdoch – it's run like the mafia. Anyway, I didn't. They were about to report that Olivia and I had dated, you may recall, so I beat them to it. Rupert Mad! So this was my punishment yesterday. They've been doing this – fake scandals followed by more fake scandals if I thwart them – since 1996.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Polls show the race between Vice President Harris and former President Trump is neck-and-neck, so what could be the deciding factor in who takes the White House? Many experts say it's likely to come down to the usual heavy factor: the economy. The latest FOX News Poll showed that voters continue to have more confidence in the former President when it comes to economic leadership, while they sided with Vice President Harris when it came to trustworthiness. Pollster and President of Maslansky & Partners Lee Carter joins the Rundown to discuss why the economy might ultimately decide the election, how Vice President Harris may be wearing out her messaging to voters, and where the remaining undecided voters lie on the political spectrum. President Biden will address world leaders on Tuesday at the United Nations General Assembly as Israel and Hezbollah continue to exchange attacks, threatening to escalate into a wider conflict in the Middle East. In recent days, Israel successfully attacked Hezbollah fighters with covert explosives and neutralized much of the Iran-backed militia's rocket-launcher infrastructure. The Iranian President Pezeshkian will also address the UN assembly, where many expect Iran to rebuff the United States' role in backing Israel against the likes of terror organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah. Former State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus joins to break down the current situation in Israel and the effort to continue funding aid to Ukraine. Election Day is getting closer, and the latest national FOX News Poll shows Vice President Kamala Harris with a two-point lead over former President Donald Trump, still within the margin of error. With experts and pundits stressing the 2024 presidential race remains neck-and-neck, voters will be looking to the candidates to hear about solutions to their top issues: economy, immigration, and abortion. Martha MacCallum, anchor and executive editor of The Story with Martha MacCallum, joins the Rundown to break down the current state of the race and the unusual political news cycle that has unfolded this year. The Federal Reserve has cut interest rates by half a basis point, their first time lowering interest rates since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020. Now, Americans can expect borrowing costs to go down in a few key pain points for consumers: credit card debt, mortgage rates on housing, and even auto and private student loans. U.S. businesses will see benefits too; cheaper borrowing typically encourages companies to hire more and attracts more investors in the stock market. Co-host of The Big Money Show on Fox Business, Brian Brenberg, joins to explain how and when this interest rate cut will be felt by Americans and concerns about a lagging labor market. In today's LIVE show, I'm looking at the new poll out of Fox News that tells us a lot. Oddly, or perhaps not so oddly, Fox News doesn't seem to thrilled with the news. Meanwhile, another poll echos a similar story. Plus, what's going on at Disney?! The new Snow White Trailer has everyone talking about an epic disaster. Has the company become too woke for its own good? Speaking of woke companies, Harley Davidson is reportedly at risk of becoming the next Bud Light. The CEOs recent comments have come under file as he ships jobs to Thailand. I'll explain. And, why on earth did the left pick this swimsuit battle with Ana Paulina Luna? Of all the things… anyway, she clearly looks great in a swimsuit! On the serious front, hackers have reportedly stolen even American social security number, Russia is being driven straight into China's arms and, we may be facing additional China security risks, and inflation is still out of control no matter how they spin it. Two dozen prisoners spread throughout seven countries are free after the largest prisoner swap between the West and Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris met the government jet as it arrived on U.S. soil when Paul Whelan, Evan Gershkovich, and Alsu Kurmasheva stepped onto the tarmac ending a month of highly secret negotiation that involved several governments across the globe. Three-time CIA Station Chief, Senior Executive Clandestine Services Officer, and FOX News Contributor Dan Hoffman explains why getting so many countries on board with the swap was such an extraordinary achievement for the United States. With President Joe Biden suspending his 2024 reelection campaign and Vice President Kamala Harris being the presumptive Democratic nominee, the fundamentals of the race haven't really changed. Elections in the U.S. are usually decided by a few battleground states with persuadable voters pushing one candidate over the edge. However, with the 2024 race being anything but traditional, will the shake-up have any impact on the outcome? Co-Director of the FOX News Poll, member of the FOX News Decision Desk, and political science professor at the University of Texas, Daron Shaw weighs in on what the state of the race looks like following the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump and the Vice President announcing her campaign. SERIES 2 EPISODE 197: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:44) SPECIAL COMMENT: Joe Biden, five points behind Trump in the Fox News poll in MARCH, a point behind him last month, is now two points AHEAD of Trump in the Fox News poll in JUNE. . There are also some remarkable internal numbers in the poll. Doesn't sound like much, but Fox says 32 percent of its respondents now believe the economy is in excellent or good shape - and that is the HIGH WATERMARK for the entire Biden Presidency. Fox also says voter CONFIDENCE in Biden on the economy has swung wildly towards Biden. They favor Trump by FIVE points, but that last month it was Trump over Biden by THIRTEEN. Also: A top midwestern political reporter says the Trump Campaign is now warning LOCAL media that it will VET all questions for Trump at the Republican Convention and only give access TO Trump to local outlets whose questions have been APPROVED in advance. And a week before the debate, as rumors continue to swirl that Trump will back out as soon as he can find some way to blame it on Biden, it is not only a certainty that Robert Kennedy Junior will NOT be at the debate, but it's beginning to look like he is on FAR fewer state ballots than his campaign has been claiming. And is Trump going to bail out of the debate? Why? Just because he told a reporter Joan Rivers voted for him in 2016 - when she died in 2014? B-Block (20:10) SPORTSCENTRAL CENTER NEWSDESK TONIGHT: The day Willie Mays deliberately turned a double into a single - and why it's testament to his genius as a baseball player. And Justin Turner's pretty smart but his new World Series idea is really, really dumb. (31:04) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Georgetown University celebrated the late New York Times writer David Carr as a great man, which he was. But they also celebrated him as a great journalist, which he most decidedly was NOT. ETTD: Everyteam Trump Touches, Dies. And Greg Gutfeld explains Fox doesn't make crap up which means I guess that they gave Dominion Voting $787,500,000 because Rupert has too much money? C-Block (47:45) THINGS I PROMISED NOT TO TELL: Just started to get hot here and whenever that it happens I remember the day I went to work at 3 AM after spending the previous day drinking roughly 40 beers. Election Day is getting closer, and former President Donald Trump is leading the polls in key swing states. The former President returns to court in Manhattan today for Day 17 of the hush-money trial. However, the legal woes aren't slowing his momentum. President Joe Biden continues to tout its economic achievements, yet many Americans still struggle to make ends meet. In the few short months leading up to November, Professor at the University of Texas, co-director of the FOX News Poll, and member of the FOX News Decision Desk, Daron Shaw, says that both campaigns need to convince voters to side with them, despite many who are hesitant of their previous performances. He joins the Rundown to explain why the Biden campaign is losing Black voters and why Trump's legal troubles aren't hurting his base. Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) have made millions of dollars off the border crisis, and a new report from The Free Press detailed just how much money was being spent and how. They found three of the top NGOs spend taxpayer money at the border on pet therapy, horticulture therapy, and even contracting a music therapist who was paid more than half a million dollars in 2022. Meanwhile, the Office of Refugee Resettlement, which's been tasked with finding safe sponsors for unaccompanied minors, has been scrutinized for their vetting process that has placed some minors with human traffickers. A former senior law enforcement advisor at the Department of Homeland Security, Charles Marino, joins to explain how a lack of oversight for NGOs border spending is going to cause “astronomical” fraud, waste, and abuse. Plus, commentary from former acting DHS Secretary, Chad Wolf. Photo Credit: AP Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In poll after poll, the majority of voters say they do not want a Biden-Trump rematch in 2024; however, the beginning stages of the campaign suggest that is what Americans may be in for. Despite the deep bench of qualified Republicans, former President Trump continues to command the GOP primary race and mainstream news cycle with his latest indictment. Meanwhile, President Biden has continued touring the U.S., touting his economic accomplishments that the White House has branded ‘Bidenomics.' Co-director of the Fox News Poll and professor at the University of Texas at Austin, Daron Shaw, joins the Rundown to explain what lanes exist for GOP primary candidates as the former President maintains strong support, how the Hunter Biden situation could threaten President Biden's favorability advantage in the election, and how social issues are throwing a wrench in 2024 campaigns. On the Rundown, Phil Flynn, an oil trader and FOX Business Network contributor, discusses why the Biden administration's release of barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve was only a short-term solution, why electric vehicles aren't a realistic option for working-class Americans, and shares why people think the rise in prices is unexpected due to the Department of Energy underreporting oil demand for the past six months. Democrats are gearing up for the 2024 elections, hoping they can use some recent legal losses at the Supreme Court to fire up their base and target Republicans in vulnerable seats. The popular Republican governor is clearly the biggest threat to former President Trump, who has a big lead in the primary polls. But like in 2016, having a viable opponent could actually prove to be a benefit to Trump. Shortly after Gov.
