Josh opens the show by examining how several blue-state attorneys general are using the courts to challenge and block President Trump's agenda. He explains why these legal battles go far beyond partisan politics, arguing that many of these actions are undermining public safety, frustrating voters, and making it harder for the administration to implement policies Americans elected it to pursue. Later, Josh is joined by Florida AG James Uthmeier to discuss Florida's recent lawsuit against TikTok and why state leaders believe action is necessary. The Attorney General also addresses his demand for answers from Major League Baseball following its actions late last week, explaining why Florida is taking a stand and what it says about the state's commitment to freedom, accountability, and putting people first. Finally, Josh turns his attention to the proposed Iran deal and the recently released memorandum of understanding. He breaks down what the agreement contains, what it leaves unanswered, and why he believes the deal could undermine long-term stability in the Middle East while providing Iran with additional financial resources and leverage.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Chuck And Julie Show with Chuck Bonniwell and Julie Hayden Colorado GOP Betrayal, Open-Primary Battles, and the Grassroots Fight for Party Control in Colorado Is Craig a con man? It appears we were duped by newly elected CO GOP Chair Craig Steiner…. Who assured us he was for opting out of the disastrous open primary but then stacked his committees with RINOs who hate the idea of opting out. Chuck Bonniwell and Julie Hayden Open with an Apology In this episode of The Chuck and Julie Show, hosts Chuck Bonniwell and Julie Hayden open by apologizing to listeners for having briefly trusted newly elected Colorado Republican Party Chair Craig Steiner. They explain that after hearing Steiner speak and after hearing support from figures such as Ted Harvey, they believed he might genuinely support the Republican opt-out effort and help revitalize the party. Within days, however, they say Steiner's committee appointments convinced them that he had misled the grassroots and was instead aligning with the establishment wing of the Colorado GOP. Craig Steiner and the Opt-Out Fight The central issue of the episode is the Colorado Republican Party's fight over the opt-out, which Chuck and Julie describe as essential if Republicans want Republican voters to choose Republican candidates. They argue that open primaries and jungle-primary-style systems weaken the party, empower outsiders, and reduce the role of grassroots Republicans. Steiner, in their view, had promised support for the opt-out but then appointed anti-opt-out or establishment-aligned figures to important committees, making his early leadership look like a betrayal rather than a unifying move. Committee Appointments and Party Power Chuck and Julie spend significant time discussing the bylaws committee, legal affairs committee, and other internal party appointments. They criticize the removal or sidelining of pro-opt-out voices such as James Peabody and object to appointments of figures they identify as establishment Republicans, including Laura Carno, John Fielding, Tom McCracken, and others. Chuck notes that the legal affairs committee has been deeply involved in the party's legal strategy around the opt-out and related lawsuits, so changing its balance could affect whether the party continues fighting for grassroots control or moves toward an establishment-backed primary structure. Caucus and Assembly Versus Jungle Primaries The hosts argue that Colorado's caucus and assembly system may be messy, cumbersome, and imperfect, but it still gives party activists and Republican voters meaningful influence over candidate selection. By contrast, they warn that jungle primaries and open-primary systems make parties nearly irrelevant and turn ballot access into a pay-to-play process controlled by wealthy donors, consultants, and signature-gathering operations. Julie emphasizes that the question anti-opt-out Republicans rarely answer is how candidates would actually get onto the ballot once the caucus system loses power. California as the Warning Example Chuck and Julie repeatedly point to California as an example of what they believe Colorado must avoid. They discuss California's long ballot-counting process, mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting, and races where Republican candidates appeared strong early but allegedly lost ground as later counts came in. They especially focus on the Los Angeles mayoral race involving Spencer Pratt, saying that late-arriving vote batches and slow counting create distrust. For the hosts, California represents the political future that establishment Republicans and Democrats are enabling in Colorado through open primaries and expanded mail-ballot systems. Unaffiliated Voters and the Future of the Colorado GOP The episode also addresses the growing power of unaffiliated voters in Colorado. Chuck and Julie note that more ballots are being mailed to unaffiliated voters than to Democrats and Republicans combined, which they say undermines the meaning of party primaries. They argue that unaffiliated voters can already change affiliation easily if they want to participate in a party nomination process, so the current system weakens party identity without solving a real problem. Their concern is that conservative Republican candidates will have little chance if nominations are shaped by unaffiliated voters and donor-funded campaigns rather than party members. Substack, Media Censorship, and Political Humor Later in the show, Julie explains how Substack became popular during the COVID era as a platform for writers and commentators who were being limited by YouTube, Facebook, Google, and other large technology companies. She says Substack gave independent writers a place to publish, build email lists, and monetize their work, but she worries that left-leaning voices may now be moving into the platform and shifting its culture. Chuck and Julie also discuss political comedy, arguing that conservative or independent voices such as Greg Gutfeld and Tim Dillon succeed because they are funny, while much of left-wing commentary has become humorless and predictable. Budgets, Blue States, and Political Drift The hosts also briefly compare state budgets and political cultures, especially Florida and New York, arguing that New York spends far more while producing worse results. They connect this to education bureaucracy, Medicaid spending, illegal immigration, and progressive governance. The discussion returns to Colorado as they mention budget problems, Medicaid concerns, and the possible loss of TABOR refunds. This section reinforces the show's broader theme that government growth, progressive policies, and establishment politics produce higher costs and weaker accountability. Closing with No More Optimism Chuck and Julie close by acknowledging that the episode is shorter than usual because of a scheduling conflict, but they say the warning about Steiner and the Colorado GOP could not wait. They again admit that they were briefly optimistic and now believe that optimism was misplaced. Their closing message is that grassroots Republicans should understand they have been betrayed, that the fight over the opt-out is not finished, and that they intend to continue challenging the establishment forces they believe are trying to push Colorado toward jungle primaries and donor-controlled politics.

California Primary Chaos exposes a deeper problem: blue state voters keep rewarding failure. The political class hides behind "experience," but what has that experience actually produced? In this episode of The P.A.S. Report Podcast, Professor Nick Giordano breaks down the chaos surrounding the California primary and uses it to expose a larger crisis of governance across America's blue states and urban centers. From Los Angeles and the Mayor Karen Bass vs. Spencer Pratt primary fallout to the decline of quality of life in New York, Chicago, Boston, New Jersey, and Virginia, failed leaders keep getting rewarded while ordinary taxpayers foot the bill. Professor Giordano exposes the political experience scam, the broken ballot-counting timelines destroying public confidence, the Senate defeat of the SAVE America Act, and the political Stockholm Syndrome that keeps voters tied to the same failed leadership. What You'll Learn In This Episode: California Primary Chaos: Why drawn-out ballot counting raises serious questions about election competence, voter trust, and institutional stability.  The Experience Scam: How career politicians use tenure as a shield to avoid accountability for failure.  Blue State Voter Failure: Why deep-blue cities keep reelecting leaders who make communities less safe and life more expensive.  Coast-to-Coast Decay: How New York, Chicago, Boston, New Jersey, and Virginia reveal the same pattern of ideological governance.  Nonvoter Malpractice: Why Republicans and independents who sit out local and school board elections share responsibility for the mess they complain about.  The political class is managing decline and calling it progress. This episode delivers a blunt wake-up call: bad government survives because voters tolerate it. Experience in a failing system is not a qualification. It is evidence of decay.

DESCRIPTION From a massive $1.2 billion rare earth investment in South Carolina to major corporations relocating headquarters to Texas, today's show examines what Tara calls a growing American realignment. The discussion covers rare earth minerals, national security, shifting public opinion on cultural issues, corporate migration, and why millions of Americans are moving to red states in search of economic opportunity and political stability. PODCAST SUMMARY America is undergoing a major transformation, and today's show connects several of the biggest stories shaping the country's future. First, Tara and Roger break down the announcement of a $1.2 billion rare earth manufacturing investment in Cherokee County, South Carolina. The project is expected to create a domestic supply chain independent of Chinese control and strengthen America's ability to manufacture critical components used in defense systems, artificial intelligence, electronics, and advanced technology. The conversation then shifts to changing public opinion on social issues, including new polling that suggests declining support for same-sex marriage and transgender-related issues after years of growth. Tara argues that changes in social media and online debate have contributed to evolving attitudes among voters. Finally, the show explores the growing trend of corporations and families relocating from traditionally blue states to red states. Using ExxonMobil's decision to move its legal headquarters from New Jersey to Texas as a case study, Tara argues that businesses are increasingly seeking states with more predictable regulatory and legal environments. Taken together, the stories paint a picture of economic, political, and cultural realignment happening across America. SHORT DESCRIPTION Major corporations are abandoning blue-state headquarters, and the reason may not be what most people think. Tara and Roger examine claims that companies are increasingly relocating because of legal environments and court systems rather than taxes. Plus, a closer look at high-profile lawsuits, corporate relocation trends, and concerns about judicial fairness. FEATURED STORIES 1. Corporate Headquarters Continue Moving South A growing number of major corporations have relocated headquarters from traditionally blue states to states such as Florida and Texas. While tax policy is often cited as the primary reason, Tara argues that legal and judicial environments are becoming a larger factor in relocation decisions. 2. Exxon Signals Court Concerns Exxon's relocation was highlighted as one of the first examples where company leadership openly referenced legal and regulatory concerns. Executives emphasized the importance of operating in jurisdictions where judges, juries, and lawmakers understand the energy industry. 3. Florida Emerging as Corporate Safe Haven The discussion focused on Florida's growing appeal to large corporations seeking what they view as a more predictable legal environment. Tara argues that businesses increasingly view certain states as offering greater legal certainty and protection from politically motivated litigation. 4. The Zuckerberg Example Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg was cited as an example of a corporate leader facing legal challenges in blue-state jurisdictions. Tara argues that lawsuits targeting major technology companies are influencing where executives choose to base operations and investments. 5. Trump Cases Continue To Influence Corporate Thinking The show examined several legal cases involving President Trump, arguing that corporate executives are closely watching how courts handle politically charged litigation and adjusting business strategies accordingly. KEY TAKEAWAYS Corporate relocations may increasingly be driven by legal concerns rather than tax policy alone. Florida and Texas continue attracting major corporate headquarters. Business leaders are paying close attention to litigation risks and court jurisdictions. Concerns over judicial predictability are becoming a larger factor in corporate decision-making. High-profile political and corporate lawsuits are shaping relocation strategies nationwide. QUOTE OF THE DAY "They're not moving because of taxes anymore. They're moving because of the courts." The discussion expands into broader cultural and political themes, including criticism of progressive policies in blue states, with claims that high taxes and expanded government programs are driving a migration of people and businesses toward lower-tax states like Texas, Florida, and Tennessee. The conversation explores whether that trend reflects unintended consequences or deliberate political strategy, including concerns about long-term fiscal collapse and potential federal bailouts. American families are fleeing Blue States as the "Big Family Sort" continues across the country. The Family Structure Index, created by the Institute for Family Studies and Center for Christian Virtue, reveals that families are migrating from high-tax, anti-family states like California to Red States that prioritize religious freedom and affordable living. Brad Wilcox joins Aaron, David, and Mike to discuss how Red State policies offer the stability required for marriage to flourish. They make it clear that to protect Ohio’s future, we must reject failing secular models and champion a culture that anchors economic success in biblical family values. Tune in now or queue up your commute podcast! More about Brad Wilcox Brad Wilcox is Melville Foundation Jefferson Scholars Foundation University Professor of Sociology and Director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia, Future of Freedom Fellow and Director of the Get Married Initiative at the Institute for Family Studies, and a nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute. The author of Get Married: Why Americans Should Defy the Elites, Forge Strong Families and Save Civilization (Harper Collins, 2024), Wilcox studies marital quality, marital stability, and the impact of strong and stable marriages upon men, women, and children. The author and editor of six books, Wilcox has written for scientific journals such as The American Sociological Review and The Journal of Marriage and Family, and The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and National Review. More about the Family Structure Index The Family Structure Index tracks the changing fortunes of marriage and family across America's states. By measuring marriage rates, family stability, and fertility, the Index reveals how the strength of the family is deeply connected to the health and attainability of the American Dream. The results have recently been featured on Fox News (here and here), Fox Business, The Daily Wire, and the Wall Street Journal.

A massive population shift is underway—and the numbers are raising serious questions. Millions are leaving blue counties for red ones, while new controversial programs in cities like Boston and states like California ignite debate over policy priorities and taxpayer spending. At the same time, immigration trends appear to be shifting, with reports of declining arrivals in major metro areas. Is this a turning point in America's political and cultural landscape? ⚡ EPISODE SUMMARY New migration data shows a significant population shift, with millions moving from traditionally Democratic-leaning areas to Republican-leaning regions over a five-year period. The episode explores what's driving this movement—rising costs of living, economic pressures, and changing policy environments—and how it could reshape future elections and census outcomes. It also examines controversial local programs aimed at supporting specific migrant populations, which have sparked debate over fairness, priorities, and the use of public funds. With immigration patterns shifting and major cities facing outflows, the episode frames these developments as part of a broader political and economic realignment happening across the country.

From the DHS shutdown and ICE policy demands to the SAVE Act debate and FISA reauthorization, today's political leaders continue to push narratives that collapse under basic scrutiny. We also look at the collapse of New York governance as a case study in what happens when this incompetence takes hold. This episode connects the dots and reveals how both parties contribute to a system that misleads the American people. They discuss the introduction of wealth taxes in several U.S. states, including California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, and Washington, which are targeting high net worth individuals. This has led to a migration of wealthy individuals to states with no such taxes, like Florida and Texas. Washington State, which previously had no income tax, has introduced a 9.9% tax on income over a million dollars, contributing to a significant exodus of high earners, including notable figures like Jeff Bezos. Their discussion highlights the economic consequences of such tax policies, including the loss of tax revenue and potential negative impacts on local economies. The also discuss the importance of fiscal responsibility at the state level and the need for states to prepare for potential federal funding reductions based on the increasing national debt.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
