Week seven in the XFL saw the 2-4 Birmingham Bolts vs the Las Vegas Outlaws 3-3. With three weeks to go the Bolts amazingly still had a chance to make the playoffs. Unfortunately they would go on to lose the rest of their games finishing dead last in their division. Twenty two unanswered points ruined Jay Barker's first start in a 34-12 defeat before 23,538 at Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium. Brad Palazzo would score Birmingham's first and last points on a 37 yard field goal in the first and a 21 yard field goal in the third. Unable to score an offensive touchdown, Eric Sloan would score the Bolts lone touchdown in the second on a 70 yard interception return. Turnovers would prove costly for the visitors resulting in three Vegas touchdowns. Outlaws head coach Jim Criner made some changes by keeping Rod Smart aka "He Hate Me" out of the game due to a sprained right knee injury. Ben Snell started in his place. He also benched defensive back Brandon Sanders for his lack of performance the prior weeks. The Outlaws decided to wear their all black uniforms because Criner thought it could provide some motivation. The Thunderbolts started former Crimson Tide QB Jay Barker in place of Casey Weldon. They went up against the top defenses in the XFL in the Outlaws despite having one of the worst offenses in the league mostly due to turn overs. By now the ratings were so terrible (in the 1's) that NBC made sure their flagship weekend show "Saturday Night Live" went on time by not televising the last minute and seventeen seconds of the game. The game was well out of hand and the Outlaws won by more than 21 points.

The Law Firm. Club Trillion. He Hate Me. We asked the people their favorite nicknames in sports and to no surprise, the people delivered. Mark and Charlotte pick their favorite submissions, before diving into listener emails. Next, yes, Charlotte is still on a high from the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and proposes the “Senior Dog Bowl,” hosted by Joe Buck of course. Finally, Mark watched Space Jam and to put it simple, he did not like it. Updates to come Thursday.
This week It Was A Thing on TV provides you with No Fair Catches, Longshots and Winning Streaks!  First, the new and vastly improved iteration of the XFL began play last month. We look back at the original XFL from 2001 and where it went wrong, from being too much like the WWE to the absolute lack of decent players. Almost 20 years later, we're wonder who exactly hated "He Hate Me."  Next, we look at two memorable shows from Fall 1979, albeit memorable for differing reasons.  Beat the Clock was quite a departure from previous versions of that show, and Whew! was funny and engaging but had a confusing rule set. Ultimately, both shows died in part to a common desperate last gasp attempt to gain viewers--making the shows celebrity-based.  Finally, February 18th marked the 100th birthday of The Dean of Game Shows, Bill Cullen. We look at three of his less successful shows--Winning Streak, The Love Experts, and Pass the Buck.
So much going on! We chat about many different things. In episode 22 we talked about Introverts and for this episode we talk about Empaths. Some times we aren't just one thing. Can you be more than one thing? We also go round 2 on the Coronavirus. We are taking a look at all different sides. 0:00 Intros and Hellos! 1:15 Tyson's quick hits!!: 1.PROUD announcement from former radio guy! And what that has to do with frisbees! Quick Hit 2: Hans Kammler excursion going up soon. Quick Hit 3: An American "FeatherMaker" responsible for very odd decision around the Holocaust, and then part of a later historical whitewash (McCloy). Quick Hit 4 (6:56): An incredible and influential woman from the mid 20th century you may not know. Outspoken, fearless... died under suspicious circumstances - Dorothy Kilgallen. 10:33 Updates from Kim. MIDDLE of tax season, DST, Binge listening to TV - RROOBYRoo... Crowdless March Madness. Nuance-less Ivy League elites opinion leaders(???). 9/11 didn't compare. Boston Marathon - once changed all the rest. H1N1 comp (NOTE: Tyson meant avian flu, but said H1N1, when he referenced a virologist. Tyson did not have the names in front of him, but it was world-reknowned virologist Robert Webster saying billions could die (2003 article, American Scientist "... could kill a large fraction of the human population), David Nabarro is the U.N. Avian flu guy who said in 2005 that 5 million to 150 million could die from it. AND between '03 and '13, a whole 375 people died worldwide, per World Health Organization.) (NOTE: Maybe due to Tyson's mix-up, Kim referenced $7.65 Billion put towards it, but that was actually put towards H1N1) Money up front, without having the risk of whether the product ended up needed in the actual market later. Kim's family experience with H1N1. 29:54 Her-SHE - a nice promotion from the Brazilian branch of a famous company, highlighting great women. But why Debbie Downer when someone is trying to be positive. 34:33 MAIN TOPIC - Ten Strange Behaviors of an Authentic Empath. Discussing and contemplating on said article, including interplay with introversion and extroversion, and the experiences of our local empath (we'll give you three guesses as to which of the two of us that is, and the first two guesses don't count). 36:25 1. You Are VERY Sensitive 61:37 8. You Can Often See Through Lies 62:44 9. Emotional Healing is Your Gift. Dem Bangs 'do. 72:24 10. Empaths Ignore Their Own Problems. 78:18 Wind-down Tyson starts to steer us off-course (because of course), with a suggestion to make people happier. 80:43 Kim gets the reference Tyson has made for the third time in the show. And Tyson riffs on the world's incredible luck, as portrayed in a famous Sutherland franchise. Share your thoughts with us!!
Season 6 - Episode #33: 2001: A XFL Disaster So the XFL Season 2 is in full swing and we are enjoying it quite a lot. Mark with his Renegades and Harris with his Guardians. But let's not forget that it was in 2001 that Vince McMahon originally decided to start a football league called the XFL. That time it failed miserably. There were so many insane things that took place that year and Harris has made a list of 10 we go over to explain just how nuts it was. From Vince trying to turn it into a wrestling promotion to inappropriate cheerleaders to unnecessary injuries and to He Hate Me it never ceased to be, well, insane. We also talk the amazing roll AEW Dynamite has been on and the upcoming Atlanta show as well as What's Up With David Arquette!Follow us on Twitter and Instagram @Behind_Gorilla and send questions, comments and ideas for future podcasts!Follow Mark @MARKYMARKBRAND and Harris @HarrisWiIson Find out more at https://behind-the-gorilla.pinecast.co
This week the hometown Jaguars announced that the team would be playing 2 back to back games in London next season and the fans arent happy at all. Â The owner says its a business decision to help the franchise..... Â Â but is it really? The XFL is off and running to a good start but will it last? Â Also an Oscar was won by a former NFL player but Big Sofa says he wasn't really a Jaguars player.Â

The XFL is back, and the guy who called every HE HATE ME game is on the JT & Looney Podcast. The former play-by-play voice of the Las Vegas Outlaws: JT the Brick! JT & Looney break down, sauce & toss, slice and dice the Kentucky Derby fiasco.
It’s a slow news week following the NFL draft. The Bucs waive six players, including fan favorite Riley Bullough. The other players on the chopping block were P Hayden Hunt, K Phillip Andersen, DE Hunter Dimick, and DT Nick Thurman. We delve into Andersen’s former team, the Berlin Eagles, and touch on that other sport they call “futbol”. With Riley Bullough quickly finding a home at the Tennessee Titans, we posit whether the Buccaneers are a feeder team for the AFC team, and reminisce about other feeder leagues. Remember that XFL player nicknamed “He Hate Me”? Ralph does! With Devin White choosing No. 41 out of respect for Mike Alstott, Ralph divulges where the Bucs’ jerseys stand amongst the rest of the league. We postulate the methods used to design the Bucs uniforms, and reminisce about group projects. What will the offensive line be after George Warhop’s reign? Will Donovan Smith grow after the departure of the only NFL offensive line coach he’s ever known? G Earl Watford makes a statement on Twitter. Ralph examines the composition of the team before and after the draft, and reveals how it stacks up against the rest of the league. Plus, we’ll discuss the state of our defensive backs. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/message
The XFL starts in 2020, and the league is getting ready for action with coaches and front office arrangements being announced in the next few weeks. Who better to give us a feel for the new XFL than its Commissioner Oliver Luck. Before talking to Oliver last week in Atlanta, I didn’t think the XFL had much of a chance; the first version went so poorly. The only thing I remember about it was a player named "He Hate Me." And that was about it. But now I have a different opinion. I go back with Oliver when he was a quarterback at West Virginia. I covered him as a backup QB and respected him when he went to college as an athletic director. On this week's podcast, we talk about how the XFL has lined up eight big cities, including Seattle, and plenty of funding from Vince McMahon. We also discuss the hopes of the Seattle franchise.

Lots to talk about in this episode, as the guys try to break down everything that had happened the past few days. They start with the Rumble, and ask why the WWE would have the gall to put Roman Reigns at #30. They try to piece together the Wrestlemania title matches on both RAW and Smackdown (and pray that they aren't going with Goldberg/Lesnar for the title) before breaking down the latest news about Seth Rollins. With the news that it's probably a 2-month injury, what should WWE do? Should they proceed with Rollins/H, go another route, or do they stall until they have to make a decision? Finally they wrap up the first segment with thought about everything NXT from the weekend. In segment 2 (56:40), they're joined by ROH's Dalton Castle. The Party Peacock explains some of his favorite Baltimore moments, as tickets for ROH's return to Baltimore go on sale this weekend. He talks about his desire to beat Adam Cole for the ROH title at Supercard of Honor, what he'd buy The Boys if that happened, and what he sees as he looks to the future. Segment 3 (1:16:00) Also starts with an interview, as Glenn gets to talk to "He Hate Me" Rod Smart. They talk about the XFL, his nickname, and talking to Vince McMahon on the eve of the 30 for 30 about the infamous league. After their talk (1:33:00) Aaron and Glenn wrap up by talking about how big Matt Hardy is getting on the independent circuit, Kevin Owens using a Stunner at the Rumble, and the growing talk of Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor showing up in WWE.
On the latest episode of the Smack Talk podcast, the Hot Tags of the week are broken down as the panel discusses Paige being suspended another 60 days for a Wellness Policy violation, WWE trademarking "He Hate Me" and more. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/smarkoutmoment/support

You might notice that during the intro we say that it's December 27th, but then in the beginning of the podcast I say this episode is coming out today (the 20th) but by the end I am apparently drunk enough to think that it's coming out on the 27th and so. That's because I'm an idiot. I've recorded 3 podcasts in 2 days that spread out over 3 weeks, cut me some slack public. Cut me some slack. This is the last regularly scheduled 9to5 Entertainment System of 2012 guys, you should spread your love all over it.
