Bill Cowher was on with Dan Patrick and talked about Aaron Rodgers still not making a decision as it seems to be down to the Giants and Steelers. Boomer said we will find out something before the draft. If not, that means Minnesota is still in play.
Hour 1 Boomer & Jerry discuss St. John's win over Omaha, and the similarities between Rutgers & Maryland's basketball programs. C-Lo reports on the Knicks' loss to Charlotte, a scuffle in the Nets game, and the Islanders' win. The hour ends with a story about a couple's cruise encountering pirate-infested waters. Hour 2 Boomer conceded his "mush" status after the Knicks' consecutive losses to perceived weaker teams, a point emphasized by a caller's concern about the bench depth. Jerry attributed some issues to Jalen Brunson's injury, though both he and callers dismissed fatigue as an excuse. C-Lo's update highlighted St. John's dominant victory and a humorous sports minute featuring sped-up audio of Boomer. News of the Boston Celtics' billion-dollar sale was followed by further discussion of the Knicks' energy deficit and a Nets-Pacers scuffle. The hour concluded with more calls addressing the Knicks' current slump. Hour 3 Discussion centered on MSG's potential relocation to expand Penn Station and Bill Cowher's insights on Aaron Rodgers' indecision, possibly between the Giants and Steelers, with Boomer predicting a pre-draft resolution. Boomer highlighted Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter as top draft prospects, despite the Giants' QB needs. C-Lo's update included St. John's decisive victory, Charles Barkley adhering to producer instructions, and Sal Licata's criticism of Evan Roberts' pizza procurement. The Knicks' continued struggles against weaker teams and Steph Curry's pelvic injury, reminiscent of Al's past ailment, were also covered. The hour concluded with Jerry playing memorable Sam Rosen calls, celebrating Rosen's Rangers recognition. Hour 4 The Valspar Championship qualifier's struggles were noted, while Jerry recounted his Tiger Woods encounter. Al's attempt to serve Rick Springfield grilled octopus, thwarted by his vegetarianism, was revisited. Boomer's potential studio namesake upon retirement was discussed before a bleak ChatGPT prediction for the Giants and Jets' future championships. St. John's victory and their upcoming Calipari matchup were highlighted, with Pitino clarifying the coaches' roles. The Knicks' loss to the Hornets, their record without Brunson, and Eddie's humorous drop during a Curry pelvis discussion were featured. Finally, the Boston Celtics' sale prompted speculation on the potential value of Jim Dolan's sports assets.
We talked about the plan that's in place to move MSG across the street to make more room for Penn Station. Bill Cowher was on with Dan Patrick and talked about Aaron Rodgers still not making a decision as it seems to be down to the Giants and Steelers. Boomer said we will find out something before the draft. If not, that means Minnesota is still in play. Boomer thinks he wants to come back one more year, and the Vikings would be the best place for one year. Boomer said Abdul Carter is the best player in the draft, then Travis Hunter. But they still won't have a QB. C-Lo returns for an update and starts with the sounds of St. John's beating Omaha by 30. Charles Barkley finally listened to a producer and went to a break during NCAA coverage. We heard from Sal Licata who couldn't believe how bad a job Evan Roberts did in securing the pizzas before the tournament started. The Knicks lost again to a bottom feeder team. Steph Curry injured his pelvis, which made Boomer think about Al's ‘pelvic floor syndrome' he suffered from a few years ago. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry played some great calls from Sam Rosen over the years, as the Rangers are honoring him this weekend.
Hour 1 with Joe Starkey: It's Austin's birthday! Crowley is having an NCAA Tournament watch party and Joe is mad he got a "pity invite." Duquesne women's basketball won its first-round game against Longwood at the buzzer in the WNIT. Mt. Lebanon brothers and wrestlers Luke and Mac Stout wrestled against each other in the NCAA Tournament last night. Bill Cowher thinks the Steelers should bring back Russell Wilson. odd Haley thinks the Steelers should go and get Aaron Rodgers.
- Bill Cowher thinks the Steelers should bring back Russell Wilson. The Steelers and Wilson are going through a bad divorce and doesn't seem like a reunion is happening. Todd Haley thinks the Steelers should go and get Aaron Rodgers. If it's Russell Wilson, Haley wouldn't be excited.
Justin Fields has talked for the first time since signing with the Jets. He said the big reason why he made the move was the head coach, citing Aaron Glenn. Was that a shot at Mike Tomlin? Is this becoming a trend? It seemed pretty clear that the Steelers didn't see Fields as a starter. How are our brackets looking so far? Bill Cowher questioned how much more Aaron Rodgers has left in him. Is he wired enough to keep up with the game at 41? Would Mullsy be a good Jeopardy player? Power Rankings.
Will the Steelers really be in on Aaron Rodgers? Bill Cowher thinks so. Where does this put the Steelers in 2025 if they actually pursue this avenue? How much better is he than Justin Fields at this point? Is it starting to feel like the Steelers truly have no clue how to handle QB?

How much better is he than Justin Fields at this point? Is it starting to feel like the Steelers truly have no clue how to handle QB? Are fans interested in Aaron Rodgers – Steelers QB? Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk joined the show. Mike gave his take on the Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers idea and he did say it made some sense. If Matt Stafford is done in LA, could he be another potential Steelers quarterback? Mike talked about acquiring older players and telling the Steelers to be careful because you want to make sure that guy truly wants to be here. The guys asked Mike about a few receivers that could be available and if the Steelers would kick the tires on any of them.

On the weekly Chipped Ham & Football podcast, host Adam Bittner welcomes Ed Bouchette, former Steelers insider for the Post-Gazette and a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, to react to the team's 2024 season and where it goes from here. Is Mike Tomlin closer to a messy exit like Chuck Noll? Or a Super Bowl-winning revival like Bill Cowher? How would Dan Rooney have handled the team's current playoff wins drought differently than son Art Rooney II as owner, if at all? And is Tomlin's long tenure more about loyalty? Or belief in doing business the way ownership would like to? Ed tackles those questions, then weighs in on roster issues. Why does he prefer Justin Fields over Russell Wilson or outside options at quarterback? What are his feelings about WR George Pickens and whether GM Omar Khan should explore trading him this offseason? Is it time to break up the defensive core of Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick? And why does Ed like Joey Porter Jr. and Keeanu Benton as young players who can grow into bigger roles? Then our duo wraps the show with some Hall of Fame talk with a focus on Hines Ward and James Harrison.

On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Batavia Daily News sports editor Alex Brasky to go over several critical points one more time before the Buffalo Bills take on the Baltimore Ravens in elimination playoff football Sunday, including examining how much of a legacy game this is for Bills head coach Sean McDermott. Alex has been at One Bills Drive all week as the Bills prepare for Baltimore on Sunday and Patrick asks him to describe what the vibe's been like there, as Buffalo is in the unusual spot of being a home underdog despite not having a loss all season in Orchard Park. How much does that Week four game when Baltimore pounded Buffalo play a part on the betting line so many months later? It's certainly for health and injury reasons. The guys talk about how much heathier Buffalo is coming into this game compared to earlier this season against Baltimore and last year at this time in their three point AFC divisional playoff heartbreaking loss to Kansas City. Also, Alex has thoughts on how much of a legacy game this is for McDermott. The Bills head coach has a 6-6 playoff record but has often got stuck at this point of the postseason. He's often compared by Bills fans to Marty Schottenheimer, an unfair comparison and it's discussed how best-case we may be seeing with Sean what happened with Bill Cowher and Tony Dungy years ago. Regardless, the guys talk about how important a win would be to his legacy and how much another loss in this round may tarnish it. That plus the significance of Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones playing great for Buffalo on Sunday, who much the weather and home field should matter, a couple of Bills X-factors and plenty more. You can follow Alex on Twitter @AlexBrasky and check out his work at the Batavia Daily News. Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red's at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium.
