A big man with a big voice. This is Coty Robinson and he is aiming to be a household name. A native of Dorchester, Ontario, Robinson is no stranger to a microphone. Having an opportunity to be one of the home game in-house announcers for the London Knights gave him valuable experience winning over a crowd. With the loss of his mother at a young age, Robinson dived headfirst into music as a way to cope with the pain and heartbreak. For Coty, connecting with music was a way to express his own experiences, struggles, and emotions and to honour his mother's memory.  Johnny Cash , Eric Church , Lee Brice , and Luke Combs have all influenced Coty's sound and songwriting. When he was unable to find the words to say, a song always could. In 2019, after challenging Brett Kissel to a game of backstage beer-pong on Twitter, Kissel accepting, and a triumph over the country star backstage, Coty was egged on to sing in front of Kissel by some friends. Kissel joined in, and eventually, Coty sang an acapella verse and chorus of a Luke Combs hit for Kissel. Brett was blown away by not only what he heard, but also Coty's overall presence. Being a fan of country music first, Coty's biggest aspiration is to bring the joy of connecting with fans through music, and song, and being able to share the experience with others, at any level possible. Coty lives to perform. His live show is electrifying and wins over new fans immediately through his heartfelt human connection. Coty is set to release his debut release in 2023. He has been recording at OCL Studios in Chestermere, Alberta with Juno-award winning and four time CCMA guitar player of the year, Matty McKay . The debut release features songs that Coty has co-written about life, love, loyalty, friendship, and small-town living. Whoever She Was is the latest single that is available on your favourite digital provider. Inspired by an incident that happened to Coty, Jason Blaine and Ben Chase wrote the song. Check it out and you too will become a fan of Coty Robinson.

At the root of it all, Jason Blaine was born to sing, write and entertain. His love for country music has taken him to the forefront of the Canadian music scene where he has remained for over a decade. With over 12 Top 10 singles in Canada including hits such as “Country Side” and “Friends of Mine”, he has also become a craftsmen of hits for other people including Chris Jansen, Parmalee, Petric and Madeline Merlo and others. Originally from Pembroke, Ontario, Blaine moved to Nashville in the fall of 2006 with his wife Amy and their three-month-old baby girl. He burst onto the scene in a big way in 2007 with his first #1 hit single “Rock In My Boot” which led to multiple CCMA nominations and paved the way for a string of hit singles and major festival appearances across the country. Perhaps the biggest game changer came in 2012 when he released the biographical “They Don't Make ‘Em Like That Anymore”, which was written for his grandfather. The song was one of his biggest hits connecting with fans of all generations and eventually went on to win CCMA Single of the Year that same year. In between releasing hit songs and co-headling tours with Tebey, Chad Brownlee and Deric Ruttan, Blaine also found time to start up his annual Jason Blaine Celebrity Charity Golf Classic. Over the past five years, fellow artists and hockey legends ranging from Dallas Smith, Tim Hicks, and Gord Bamford, to Doug Gilmour and Bryan Murray have all contributed to helping raise over $500,000 for various hometown charities in Pembroke. Now, a multiple CCMA, SOCAN & CMAO award winner with over 20+ radio hits, six full length albums, over 12 million digital streams, and Jason still feels like he's just getting started. Writing full time within Nashville's publishing community, Jason resides in Hendersonville, Tennessee with his wife Amy and their four children. This past summer the next chapter began as he began work on his brand new album, which was produced by Jay Tooke. The project breathes new life while lending itself to what Jason does best; great country music performed by one of Canada's most distinctive voices, telling stories of home, love, and nights on the town. As a craftsmen of songs, Jason found and wrote songs for the project which embody his artistry and move him into the next season of his career.

East-coast raised, Nashville based artist Mallory Johnson recently released her debut full length album Surprise Party. Produced by Grammy and Oscar award nominated producer Kent Wells (Dolly Parton, Paul Anka, Carly Pearce), Mallory collaborated with close friends and industry heavy hitters to co-write the album, including the likes of Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Patricia Conroy, Tenille Arts, Carli & Julie Kennedy (Twin Kennedy), Jason Blaine, and Kelly Prescott. "This album originally began as a 6-song EP with little direction, just songs I really loved or had planned on releasing as singles. I had already started pre-production with my producer Kent Wells when one evening I got together with Carli and Julie Kennedy and we started writing “Surprise Party.” Something clicked after we finished writing this song and the theme of the entire record just organically fell into place. It felt serendipitous," Mallory shares on the natural way in which the album came together. A CCMA-nominated artist, Mallory is turning heads in the country music scene with her recent Billboard-charting single (“Married”) and multiple award wins at the ECMAs and MusicNL Awards. The 2022 SiriusXM Top of the Country Semi-Finalist has received praise from the likes of CMT, The Boot, The Bluegrass Situation, and American Songwriter.

Recipient of the Male Country Artist of the Year 2019 at the Josie Music Awards in Tennessee, Laurie LeBlanc also participated in a dance and country music congress organized by the Francophone Federation of Country Dance and Line Dance FFCLD in Issoudun, France. This experience proved to be important in his career when he met Irish singer-songwriter Don Mescall, who later offered him several songs. From there was born his first English-language album of original compositions, When It's Right It's Right , which was released in 2020. Produced by emeritus Jason Barry (Dean Brody, Charlie Major, Terri Clark, Jason Blaine), this album undoubtedly marked a turning point in his career. In 2022, Laurie launches his 8th solo recording "Long Weekend", a double EP of original songs in French and English, a real turning point in his career. Over the years, Laurie LeBlanc has performed on stage across Canada and shared the stage with many established artists, including Zachary Richard, Michel Pagliaro, Renée Martel, Patrick Norman, Guylaine Tanguay, Laurence Jalbert, Paul Piché , Marc Hervieux, etc. These beautiful musical and personal encounters have greatly contributed to him: they have shaped the artist and the human being that he is today.

In this episode, guest Jason Petrunik (also known as J-man), gives an inside look at the way he grew to become a truth sharer, encouraging others to freely express themselves on his show, “The Launchpad Podcast.” J-man comes from a 20-plus year career in entertainment as a former radio announcer and emcee at festivals and other public appearances.  He shares ways he was programmed before to “play the game,” some of which involved deception. Never intending to be “in the spotlight” as one opening more doors to free speech,  J-man has been moved by many of his guests including those injured by the vaccination, and others who lost jobs for refusing to take “the experimental jab.”  Dr. Julie Ponesse, a former ethics professor, who was let go from her university position for declining the vaccination, was one of his most memorable guests on his show: https://thelaunchpadpodcast.com/podcast/se07-ep01-dr-julie-ponesse-the-death-of-democracy/ Co-host Jim Gale also has been an inspiring guest on J-man's podcast, sharing his passion about Food Forest Abundance: https://thelaunchpadpodcast.com/podcast/se07-ep13-jim-gale-food-forest-abundance/ J-man believes allowing people freedom of choice–whether they take the vaccination or not–is what coming from a place of abundance and understanding is all about. He tries to see people's perspectives from both sides, knowing each has been impacted by their sources of information. Topics covered in this interview: –Stories of J-man's days in radio, when top-selected songs were picked way in advance of listeners calling in with their choices. It was later he realized how much he was “programmed” to deliver content. –The impact of David Icke, who in his book, The Biggest Secret, predicted years ago much of what is happening in the world today: (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=the+biggest+secret+by+david+icke&crid=3CZK5P16V1RO9&sprefix=the+biggest+secret+by+david+icke%2Caps%2C50&ref=nb_sb_noss_1) –The number of workers who loved their jobs, but lost them, because they  declined the vaccination.  Now, they don't want to return to a system that treated them “like a nobody.” –The injuries from receiving “this medical intervention,” including young people with myocarditis, which occurs when the heart muscle becomes inflamed. –The “sad time” of the pandemic that isolated people, but is now shifting humanity in a new direction. –The unlimited abundance of nature and its healing powers. –The power of collaborating to impact change as people “wake up” to the new world unfolding. – J-man's perception of Jim Gale and Food Forest Abundance: “You're more than just a mission, you're a vibe. And I love that abundance vibe in all the areas that you come from.” ABOUT JASON PETRUNIK  (J-man): Jason created “The Launchpad Podcast” as a porthole for personal development, covering a wide range of topics with some of the most influential entrepreneurs in the business/networking space and people who have performed at an elite level in their industries/professions. Guests have included  the likes of CCMA award-winner, Jason Blaine, Emmy award-winning broadcaster, Lisa Hillary, CFL All-Star and Grey Cup Champion, and "Downtown" Eddie Brown. He is also the co-owner of "Showcase in Petawawa,” which is the flagship trade show that runs every spring for three days, and has been around for two decades. It boasts about 140-plus vendors and attracts upwards of ten thousand people through the door to check out people's passions, products and professions.  Jason, who also has interests in real estate and the Airbnb industry, has been a small business owner, weight loss coach, fitness model competitor, leisure and travel provider, and dog sitter.  And, "YES!!"...he's just getting started!  On this episode of Beyond The Melody, Brian speak with Canadian country star Jason Blaine! Now, a multiple CCMA, SOCAN & CMAO award winner with over 20+ radio hits, six full length albums, over 8  million digital streams, and Jason still feels like he's just getting started. Writing full time within Nashville's  publishing community, Jason resides in Hendersonville, Tennessee with his wife Amy and their four children. This past summer the next chapter began as he began work on his brand new album, which was produced by  Danick Dupelle (Emerson Drive, Tebey).

This weeks Ranch Spotlight shines on....Graham Scott Fleming!!!Tune in everyday this week around 11:50am to hear his brand new single “Déjà Vu”!Graham joins Jackie on air this Thursday during the 11am hour to chat all about his career!"Graham Scott Fleming is a singer/songwriter from Elmvale, Ontario with a voice that is unlikely to be forgotten. After winning first place in a competition called North of Nashville star in 2011, Graham's career as an independent artist was launched. From there he hit the ground running and didn't look back. He began writing his own original music which eventually led him to open for acts like Derrick Ruttan, High Valley, and Jason Blaine. He has also had the opportunity to collaborate and co-write with such names as Jason McCoy, Jane Bach, Phil Barton, JT harding and many others.Graham released his first EP ‘Young Wild & Free' in 2016, at a time which could easily be described as a slightly ‘chaotic' period in Graham's life! Not only was Graham writing original music and planning an EP release, he was starring as Charlie Price in Mirvish's production of Kinky Boots. Kinky Boots was a smash hit in Toronto running for 2+ years, and was extended three times due to the success of the show. Graham was nominated for a Dora Award for Best Male Actor in a musical for his memorable performance. After Kinky Boots closed in Toronto, Graham made a big move to NYC where he made his Broadway debut in Miss Saigon. Between NYC and Ontario, Graham also starred in such shows as the Canadian Premier of Ghost: The Musical, the World premier of Jukebox Hero, and the World Premier of My Very Own British Invasion plus snagged a supporting lead role in a Hallmark movie called Love You Like Christmas, where he wrote original music for the film score. Needless to say, Graham has had a pretty incredible run in many sectors of the music industry, which he is forever grateful for. Missing his small-town roots and the music he grew up listening to, Graham is emerging himself back into the country music scene with a 2021 release of his new single ‘Déjå Vu.' More details on the full EP, produced by the boys of The Agenda, will be released in the near future, but for now Graham is gearing up for an exciting new single release for the first time in four years. Influenced by duo Dan & Shay, these tunes are sure to have you belting out loud and catching all the feels. It's been a long and difficult year for many due to the pandemic, and Graham is hopeful that things will start to look up in 2021. One thing is for sure - music will always be there to provide that much needed positivity and light, and Graham hopes sharing his stories through music will do just that. Be sure to check out his new single ‘Déjå Vu' on all streaming platforms - out everywhere!! Don't forget to follow along the journey on Instagram @grahamsfleming!"

In this week's episode, we're featuring the fourth album from Canada's Western Swing Authority: "Big Deal" (2018). Fronted by husband and wife team Shane Guse (fiddle, vocals) and Stacey Lee Guse (vocals), the Western Swing Authority is a seven-piece act based around Ontario. Their music is big, bright and appealing: much like Haggard helped bring Bob Wills to a 70s audience, the WSA take the traditions of the music pioneered by Wills and his contemporaries and present it in a way you won't hear anywhere else in 2018. Packed with fiddle breakdowns and steel solos, the WSA have plucked help from every corner of Canadian music, especially giving contemporary Canadian country stars in George Canyon, Jason McCoy and Jason Blaine a chance to sing on something a little more traditional than usual. These genre-busting collaborations will only help the propagation of this uniquely American artform. Highlights on "Big Deal" include a dynamite rendition of Hoyle Nix's "Big Ball's In Cowtown", the prohibition-esque "Swingin' From The Rafters" and my personal favourite, the straight-country heart and soul included in "This Old Bar". The music itself is delivered in an incredibly fun, infectious and accessible yet traditional manner - with a little more exposure, the WSA could be the act to bring western swing to a 21st century audience. Here's hoping!

Tebey, Jason Blaine & James Otto begin their exciting & electrifying Three's A Party Tour on October 30th in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The tour will continue across Canada until the end of November. For information on tickets, please visit www.tebeymusic.com or www.jasonblaine.ca. Tebey just released a new song & music video called Jealous Of The Sun. He's written songs for Emerson Drive, Aaron Pritchett, Doc Walker, and Jason Blaine. As grateful as he is for his songwriting success, Tebey never abandoned his original dream of stepping out and taking centre stage himself. “In order to be a successful songwriter you really have to focus on it, so I literally put my recording career on the back burner.” It was a necessary compromise, he says: “It just so happened that circumstances took me away from being an artist and made me focus on my songwriting in order to make a living.” Now, Country fans know Tebey as a talented and engaging hit maker with songs like Somewhere In The Country, Now I Do and When The Buzz Wears Off. Jason Blaine has just released a new album called Country Side featuring the title track single and the latest song Spotlight. He wrote or co-wrote all 13 tracks. The last two songs on the project are for his two daughters and son. “At the end of the day, when the stage lights come down and I get off the plane or the tour bus and I come home, I’m just a husband and a father,” expains Jason who lives in Nashville with his wife and three children. He won the 2012 CCMA Single of the Year for his song They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore - which he co-wrote with Deric Ruttan.

Burlington, Ontario Country artist TEBEY - now living in Nashville - first found success on Country radio back in 2002 with his single We Shook Hands (Man To Man). He was recognized with a Canadian Radio Music Award nomination for Best New Male Country Artist, a CMT special documenting his development as an artist and a segment on CBC Radio’s ‘Sounds Like Canada.’ The single reached # 3 in Canada and went top 40 in the U.S. but RCA didn't release the album (which featured the single) because the song didn't break the top 20. Determined to not let that setback end his music career, Tebey focused on his skills as a songwriter and soon found his songs being recorded by various artists Over the years, his songs have been recorded by Emerson Drive, Doc Walker, Jason Blaine, Chad Brownlee, Aaron Pritchett, and Big & Rich - among others. He has also had his songs recorded outside the country genre, by pop acts like One Direction, Shawn Desman and Cher. Over the last couple of years, Tebey's own albums have had great success at country radio: The Wait in 2012 featuring the single Somewhere In The Country and Two in 2014 featuring his cover of Wake Me Up and his own songs Till It's Gone & Let It Down. He recently won a CMAO (Country Music Association of Ontario) Award for Record Producer of The Year - along with producer Jason Barry - for The Wait.
